World Gym Springfield

Fantastic experience: Wyatt and John are brilliant. Wyatt reached out and John showed me the gym and signed me up. After 15+ years at Anytime Fitness, who didn’t give two hoots. I got a much better deal at World, along with better facilities, more equipment and more group fitness options for less cost. After a month post joining and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you!

Negative experience: No prices or sign-up form on site. You have to submit your email and mobile details to request a price but they will never contact you. Why do you have a "Request membership" option on your site if you do not reach out to people requesting more information?

Positive experience: Equipment is ok if you can get it , too many gym subscriptions make it so difficult to train , also the music ……. Enough of the gangster black rap ! Jesus give us a break Christ sakes !

Fantastic experience: John at the reception is such a great guy. Very helpful. Nice gym with free weights, climbing rope, dedicated boxing and calisthenics area and also 2xPilates reformer machines.

Fantastic experience: I initially had some trouble with an issue with World Gym Springfield, and I was honestly frustrated with the situation. However, my experience completely turned around thanks to Rolance. The customer service I received from him was exceptional. He took the time to listen to my concerns, resolved my issue efficiently, and made sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Rolance's dedication to helping me really restored my faith in the gym and proved that great customer service can truly change how you view a company. Thank you again, I truly appreciate it.

Negative experience: Music is too loud, would prefer it to tone it down a bit as I like to listen to my music. I felt like I was in club and I can hear the speakers through my Noise cancelling headphones. It was muggy inside there is no fan, it get very stuffy. Yoga mats are disgustingly old and stinky.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, variety of machines, great atmosphere and best of all, protein shakes at the gym bar once you finish your workout

Fantastic experience: I pop in when up those ways for work, and it's one of the few world gyms I've seen where member's respect equipment and return the weights :) Also caters for powerlifters with proper competition plates, awesome gym.

Fantastic experience: I have always been intimated with gyms for as far as I can remember. When I joined World Gym Springfield, I remember walking into the gym so lost and didn’t have any clue at all until one of the owners came up to me and toured me around. One year later, I have met beautiful, and strong individuals, I’ve made friends from all walks of life; I have grown muscles, and confidence which I am truly grateful for. We have the best people all over the gym; from John who signed me up, to the most fun and patient people at the reception; to the trainers who pushed you until you want to push them back, and to the people training at the gym who is looking out for each other. I cursed at each trainers for the classes I attended to, but laugh and thanked them after each session. I’d say, you are not just your “tag” when you join this gym, but rather a part of a healthy “cult”! Best gym, what more can I say.

Fantastic experience: Prepare to sweat like a cheeseburger in a sauna! This gym is like a playground for adults, except instead of monkey bars, you've got dumbbells and treadmills. The staff is so friendly, they'll motivate you to lift weights you didn't even know existed. And don't worry about feeling out of shape; everyone here is too busy focusing on their own gains to judge. Just be careful not to mistake the protein shake for your morning coffee – unless you're aiming for a caffeine-fueled bench press record! Overall, this gym gets five stars for making me laugh, cry, and question my life choices – all before breakfast.

Fantastic experience: Just join up, you won’t regret it!! Reception staff always greet you with a big smile and are very helpful. Great variety of classes and all the instructors are amazing. There is heaps of equipment so you don’t have to wait for machines. The place is always kept clean and it hasn’t got an intimidating atmosphere.

Positive experience: Amazing toilets, amazing ranges of classes , amazing hammer strength training, heaps of dumbbells, heaps of racks and 3 x smith machines and heaps of glute focused equipment also for us ladies. The reason it isn't a 5 star is because too much equipment in the space and the machines are too close together. When people train in groups , they're literally so close to you everything is jammed. Best time to train in the morning and midday away from the rush just because all the machines are so close. Oh and the lighting man, all wrong. Way to bright and no downlighting.

Negative experience: Emailed once to enquire about pricing, signed up to another gym in meantime. Called everyday at all hours for 4 weeks even after replying I’m not looking for membership. Had had to block their number Gym itself and machines are amazing, but way too busy and a lot of gym bros flexing in the mirror after every set whilst sitting on machines scrolling Facebook for hours on end.

Negative experience: This is the most disgusting Worldgym I have ever visited the stench of the gym is terrible and there are only two cleaning stations one of which had no disinfectant in the bottle. There were at least ten members in the gym wearing crocs or slip on's this seems to be the fashion atm so much for enclosed footwear and the Bathrooms made you want to vomit from the smell this is definitely a club for under 25s as no one wears deodorant i would suggest all adults go elsewhere. They need to do better here.

Negative experience: First things first girls at the front are always lovely … however they have now closed the small group class room in the gym that I used to comfortably train in away from people which is a shame I train after 8.30 and that’s when it closes now ;-( . I pay a membership which I can’t use Full Facilities ‍♀️ Also this gym lacks Cleanliness a lot of the time. Over all a bit disappointed to be honest .

Negative experience: Worst gym. Broken equipment will sit there for months before they fix it. My tag broke in half and they told me I’d get a call from them to replace it and it never happened. Gym floor is always packed and good luck getting a park.

Negative experience: This is definitely the worst gym in Brisbane. Cost is expensive, equipment is always broken or out of order, staff are rude and gym is always extremely busy. I was also promised that my contract was able to be put in hold when travelling for work for free. The staff made this extremely difficult by not responding to emails and being extremely rude over the phone. I genuinely feel bad when I see people signing new contracts to be at this gym.

Negative experience: Hate this gym. Rude staff with gross thick mascara, they treat members like children and their creche is horribly managed. Wouldn't have signed up here if I knew how packed the gym is, the ratio is awful. The sauna has broken buttons and they charge you even on holidays away. Go elsewhere for quality membership, local owned is way better.

Positive experience: Great gym with new-ish equipment. Clean showers. Only issue is getting overcrowded and sometimes very hard to find parking. Overall good franchise and recommended

Negative experience: Went in to cancel what I thought was a non lock in contract as I never actually signed any paperwork for them. Turns out they have put me on a 12m contract (one of their staff had signed the contract for me), had to pay $200 to cancel it. Further to this, they had extended my contract to cover a promotional 4 weeks free which was given at the start. My partner went to cancel also, but he has to see out his 12m contract first before he can give his 30 days notice, so essentially they signed him up to a 13 month contract. Which none of this was made clean upon sign up. The equipment doesn't get cleaned regularly, machines are always dusty. Not enough car parks for the busy periods. Staff have no clue what they're talking about. Money hungry. Would avoid like the plague

Negative experience: It's insane to me that the staff in the gym are completely unaware of how their own contract works. Kept telling me I had to give 30 days notice to cancel but my contract was due to end once I paid the amount on the contract as the 30 days was included. It was extremely stressful to deal with as every time I would talk to someone new, I would get conflicting information! In the end I called debit success to confirm no further payments would be coming out from my account after I had paid the remaining amount. Same thing happened with my husbands account, was told it was ongoing even though I brought up that we had signed the exact same contract. Again called debit success and they informed me no further payments would be coming out. Staff need to be trained to understand the contracts they are having their members sign to avoid the confusion and stress.

Negative experience: I'm sorry to make this review as the team have been very friendly and helpful. The ongoing fees and lock in contract however are a trap and we were not made aware that the cost of the creche is in addition to 2 x 18 month memberships despite asking specifically about the creche at the initial contract meeting. I feel as though we have been lied to. ....... We signed up for a gym membership as a couple. They showed us through the facilities and creche. We were not made aware that the creche is an additional extra weekly cost. We have 2 young children and are unable to utilise the services suggested without the creche. We have been locked into a 18 month contract and told we need to pay an additional $300 each to break the contract. We have been patiently waiting for the contract to finish. Now asking what date the contract finished and if it cancels automatically we have been informed that we have to wait till it finishes, submit the cancellation in writing and then it will still take 30 days notice to cancel. Poor business ettiquette and taking advantage of people's guilt for profit.

Negative experience: Staff are very unfriendly, don’t acknowledge you when you walk in or leave, un knowledgeable with membership information, very unwilling and uninterested to help with simple inquiries. Machines have layers of dust - unsure if they get cleaned regularly, if not ever. Very over populated, no quiet hours. Disappointed with my experience.

Negative experience: Saw them on one of the news channels and was very excited to join them. Went down to the club to get some information. The 3 staff members on duty saw me walking in but preferred to ignore me while finishing their coffee and talking about their weekend. After about 15 minutes one eventually asked if they could help. A few weeks later I receive a text message with a great offer, thought I will give them another shot. Only to arrive at the gym and find out it was click bait with a lot of strings attached to the offer. Overall their service is appalling.

Negative experience: The most difficult gym membership to cancel in existence. Absolutely poor customer service, I was told multiple different dates of which my membership ends and I had to attend the gym, just to be told that date wasn't correct and ill have to come back another day. Staff made claims about my contract conditions and despite me asking multiple times to see where in the contract it is stated, I was never able to be shown as no one could produce a copy of the contract. Multple attemps were made to be shown a copy of my contract. I was never able to be provided with a copy. Apparently the only person who can print that out is never working. The gym didnt reply to a single email I sent them in relation to my membership. When attending the gym to enquire about cancelling staff made claims about the T&Cs in my contract despite them being contrary to what the contract agreement sent on the day of signing up state. Staff would then revert to, "oh its in the contract," but are unable to show you where. The gym itself had good equipment, and staff were usually friendly enough, its just a shame that when it comes time to cancel they constantly create new dates and hurdles to cancel, and they are building a reputation for this behaviour. The only correspondence I ever received was from the billing company the day after I threatened to contact Fair Trade.
