Negative experience: Be aware that it can take decades to cancel your membership. Clearly, they don’t seem to prioritize customers who speak Mandarin. When you try to contact them, the agents often mock you and put you in an embarrassing situation, saying things like, "Oh, I can't understand you. I don’t think I can help." Additionally, the restrooms are often dirty, and the gym equipment is rusty. I'm not saying this because I can’t cancel my membership—I actually wrote an email in 2023 explaining why I wanted to cancel and to remind you about the terrible state of the toilets, but I never received a reply. ^_^

Regarding the lights turning off, our team has looked into it and found that it was an extremely rare, random issue that was resolved within 5 minutes once we were alerted. While we don't expect this to happen again, if it does, we encourage our members to use one of the emergency intercoms located throughout the club (including in the bathrooms) to contact our security company, or you can reach New Security Installations directly at 1300 674 000. Positive experience: The club is fine but parking is a total nightmare. First you need to show your strength in finding a parking spot, then you can show all your physical fitness. Not for the faint-hearted

Negative experience: Very poor state of maintenance lockers are dirty, so are the washrooms. Locker doors are broken and the steam room hasn't been working for many months now. 10/10/24 Here's timestamp confirming the visit. It would be better for members if the Club management spent some time and money on fixing problems.

Negative experience: I enrolled in November of last year at this branch, and until today I decided to stay there. However, during this time, they have not made any significant improvements to this branch. 80% of the machines are in poor condition, uncalibrated, some pads are cracked due to use and deterioration from being old, there are benches without wheels to move them, as well as many other issues. The air conditioning never worked and still hasn’t been repaired. The space is very cramped, so there is no good airflow. There are lockers that are broken and without doors, dumbbells that are broken and equally deteriorated. I spoke with one of their managers, "Laura," who said she understood my dissatisfaction with the service and my experience, but the equipment will not be renewed. Still, I had to pay 100% of the penalty for this lack of quality

Negative experience: Parking is an absolute joke. I've attempted to come in and just given up and gone home. Which is really infuriating considering the amount you pay per week and the extra fees you're hit with if a direct debit declines. I'm wasting my God damn money because I can't even get to the gym to use the facilities. The actual classes are great, I enjoy them, but for the amount being paid and the frequency of the classes being very scarse, it's a money sink hole. Compared to other gyms, it is quite small, the equipment takes ages to be repaired, ( which is unacceptable because we are paying for a service we cant use) and the bathrooms are gross and old and lack privacy. I've only been able to try out 2 different classes as they aren't held often and don't vary in time of day. Updated to 2 starts from 3. Change your debiting system as it's an absolute scam!

Negative experience: I used to go every day, but since I joined another gym and was shown what it should be like, I'm never going back here. Weights are all over the floor, machines regularly broken. During summer 23/24, the AC to the whole business was broken for 3+ months without any resolution. Employees are there just to generate sales and not actually provide a good gym environment, never cleaning or tidying weights.

Positive experience: Just rejoin. So far so good. Looking forward to use the facilities. Split into 3 levels. Ground is the treadmill, bicycle, step and etc. 1st level is the heavy section. 2nd level is where the classes are. Plenty of parking at the back and get full during peak hours.

Positive experience: As far as gyms go Goodlife Mt Gravatt serves its purpose. It has a good range of equipment to use across 3 levels. A separate training area for women too which is a bonus for those who'd like their own space. What I particularly enjoy however are the group classes be it the usual Body Pump/Combat/Balance etc or the new way of training via Arena and Reform Pilates. The latter two are a fav! Extra points for 24 hour access. One thing that'd be great would be a bit of a refurb for aesthetics...looks like this one has been around for a while without any TLC.

Fantastic experience: Love this Goodlife. Helen was amazing in Arena and always pushed me to do my best. Loved the Pilates room and especially Monday and Wednesdays with Michelle and Fiona. Alicia at the front was always super friendly and helpful. We tried 4-5 Goodlife gyms and this was the favourite.

Fantastic experience: I really love coming to this gym! I have found a community of people who all share a passion for exercise and health. It doesn’t matter what level you are at you can come and focus on bettering yourself. I especially love the reformer Pilates class. It has really transformed my body and given me such a great confidence. I feel strong. The instructors are so welcoming and supportive. The price for the membership is amazing for what you get. Highly recommend to anyone at any stage of their fitness journey

Negative experience: WARNING - join any other gym, had too many friends including myself that got their money stolen, impossible customer service, will never answer questions or contact you, sign up fee is fake (if you threaten to walk out because of the sign up fee theyll suddenly have a deal "only for you" with no sign up dollar fee, any other gym is cheaper and much better customer service. They're more than happy to take money out of your account but can't perform simple customer service. Will never join again. would give 0 stars if i could, dishonest with contracts, once you lock in your'e stuck or you have to pay a ridiculous fee, and for those with less money they will take more money from you when you miss a payment even by a couple hours, they ave stolen in the hundreds from me. very unhappy will never recommend. they are quite literally robbing you by taking money and will never inform you about the dishonesty fee when you sign up and instead you have to read 20 pages of fine print. if you ask for help or information about your billing they will talk down to you and treat you as an imbecile. update: they reached out to me on facebook asking for my details and then fail to follow up.... this is absolutely hopeless and they are robbing people in broad daylight update: 1 month later and absolutely heard nothing, no action, no customer service extremely disappointing. communicated with my friends who are also ex members and they had the same experience of disgraceful customer service and money robbing schemes.

Positive experience: Rejoined at Holland Park with friends - Mt Gravatt is closer. My experience was people not having 1) towels and 2) not wiping the cardio equipment down. One person was coughing constantly and then just walked away! Disgusting. I guess these 2 things are always a challenge but need addressing but nothing ever gets done about it. Holland Park looks and feels good, Mt Gravatt quite drab and dreary.

Fantastic experience: Best for group fitness - I lack motivation and hence group fitness works best. Goodlife is among the rare few clubs that has so many group fitness classes to choose from. Facilities are going through renovations.
Fantastic experience: Joined about a month ago. I go to pilates and pump classes 4 times per week, I don't use any other facilities while I'm there. Works well for me. Staff are generally pretty polite and friendly. Tag works after hours no problem. Price is not bad. Carpark could be bigger for peak hour but I've always found one so it's fine.
Negative experience: When 4 of us initially joined the gym, they informed that 2 of us will be getting our membership free for 2 weeks . But it was really disappointing since they are debiting money from our account even after 1 month of cancellation. On asking the staff member, they said that money is being debited because they gave 2 weeks free. Not at all trustworthy with their offers and payments. Also, giving different information regarding the same thing and refused to give a refund.

Negative experience: 25.05 still this gym is absolutely below thr other goodlifes . It requires immediate renovation. None of the weights etc are put away. Constantly looks dirty tired. This is unacceptable. It needs a total refurbishment. For clients to pay as much as they do and to have to come to mess, unclean and broken equipment it's just not fair. The other goodlifes are amazing but this one really let's the brand down. It's just not acceptable. I changed this from two to one star as nothing has improved at all this year. Its filthy. Look at this equipment it's not state of the art.

I urge you to take immediate action to repair or replace the faulty equipment to maintain a conducive workout environment. As a paying member, I believe it is my right to access facilities that meet basic standards of cleanliness and functionality. The current conditions not only affect my personal experience but also tarnish the reputation of your gym. I request that you prioritize the maintenance and improvement of these facilities to ensure the satisfaction and safety of all members.

Negative experience: Staff at the counter are good. But respectfully, fix the air conditioning! t's been months and those temporary machine aren't helping. Update: 4 months later and the air conditioning still is not fixed. Club doesn't update their members at all on this either. Update 2: A further 2 months and the AC is still not fixed(Has been down since around September '23). Cleanliness and overall quality of the gym isn't getting better, Quite clear they're not using the money that people pay to improve any of the equipment. Have cancelled and move on. I wouldn't use this gym if you could avoid it. Plenty of better options in the area.
Positive experience: Not the greatest gym. Equipment is decent but a bit tired. Small weights area can be very limiting at busy times, would be great to see some new equipment as nothing new has been introduced in years and more weights in other levels like level 3 training area - more could be done here. Also air con is never cool enough, staff are lovely though always helpful.

Negative experience: I was more a frequent member here about 10-12yrs ago - when they had a nutrition store on the main floor - and recently returned for a few session due to locality. All I can say is none of the weight equipment at the back near the mirrors has been changed or updated in all this time. The lack of actual flat (safe and not faulty) benches to do any kind of dumbbell exercises is abysmal. Also difficult to find any 1.25kg, 2.5kg, and 5kg weights as they’re hardly any. Also, the upstairs has no mats and only like one foam roller for the whole gym. The reception staff seem very friendly, but this place good do with a decent refurbishment.
Negative experience: Worst gym by far. Just a large gym a lot of empty space with almost no machines unless you want to cycle then don’t worry, that’s all they have!
Negative experience: It's a good gym with facilities and trainers, but when I sent a 'contact' message about freezing my account due to circumstances, I got no reply. Over a week later and no reply. Instead I found out when you log into your account, you can request a freeze that lasts only a maximum of 53 days per year. My freeze is special circumstance too. I have been a member since 2021-- I'm not sure if I'll keep membership after this freeze is ends.

Negative experience: Came to sign up, 2 staff were at front desk on their phones I stood there waiting while one went into the back room which I assume is a bathroom and the other staff did not greet or smile at all so I just initiated the convo first. I signed up, I didn’t even get offered a tour of the gym? But whatever I took my membership card and left. Found time to finally go after a few weeks late at night due to work and exams to find out my card doesn’t even work Great first impression. Now I don’t know what to do as I don’t even want to go back. For how much you pay to go here you’d think your membership card would at least work or be activated. Edit: Was on the phone with them they forgot to “tick” 24 hour access. Assuming it was fixed, went late at night again and whatdya know? It doesn’t work, AGAIN! Frustratingly, asked to get off work early so I can go in during business hours. They issued me a new card said it should work but can’t test it because it takes a few hours to activate. Honestly, atrocious. I paid for a gym membership and I never used it once. Waste of money, waste of time. Extremely disappointed. Practically a scam if you think about it. Pay for something I can’t even use. No reimbursements whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: I joined good life a year ago, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are very professional and helpful. I can access it anytime and membership fee is reasonable.
Negative experience: It was very, very disappointing and the worst pay system ever. My girlfriend and I paid for only a month and after a month we never went to this gym, but we still each paid $25 a week and talked about this twice and cancelled our membership. However, the payment continued to go out and we didn't want to pay more, so we transferred all the money to other account, so they took up additional charge and cancelled after it for 42 dollars more the name of overdue. They have unnecessarily taken more money from us in the name of a month's Notice, which is very, very very stupid and annoying

Negative experience: GUYS BEWARE OF THIS GYM! MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW UP IF YOU ARE THINKING OF CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP! They make it unnecessarily difficult to cancel your membership. I signed a 1-year contract and hardly went but I still paid for my membership as I had signed up for the contract - this is totally fine. My membership is ending this month so I tried calling the gym in October to let them know I would be cancelling - I tried multiple times and could not reach anyone at the gym so I went online and could not find any email address but a query page so I put through my query with my details and the request to cancel. I received an acknowledgement email and then I never received any email back from GoodLife regarding my request. So I called again early November and got through to the reception. I asked about the end date of my contract and my request to cancel after that. I was told then that it would be cancelled automatically after the last payment of my contract and that I would get an email regarding this. I reconfirmed that there was nothing else I should do to confirm the cancellation and was told no it is all good. I went into GoodLife 05/12/2022 (last week of my contract) to re-confirm the cancellation and that I would not be charged after this date. The receptionist took a look at my account and told me that I need to provide them 30-day notice to cancel and that I would be paying for another 4 weeks before the cancellation takes place! At that point, I was shocked as I had put through an online query and spoke to them previously about this! So I told the receptionist that I had called previously and the receptionist had a look through my profile and said oh yes I can see that here you had called on 03/11/2022 which was a month ago so don't worry about it, it will be cancelled from today. I reconfirmed again that I will not be charged again after this week and was told yes. I also asked if I will be getting an email confirming this and was told yes and that it would be sent out to me today. I still have not received any email so I am a bit worried that they will keep charging me for another 4 weeks. Anyway, BEWARE IF YOU ARE CANCELLING GUYS!

Fantastic experience: honestly my favorite gym, the equipment and staff never fail me! the staff and personal trainers are lovely. The PT's are always open to give you a quick tip and a hand on any machines you are unsure about, nice and big gym. always clean and the atmosphere is unreal.
Negative experience: First time here. Hot as anything and a bit out dated unclean feel because of the age. Not What we expected after having been to the Carina oullet which is way nicer.
Fantastic experience: Been a member for 4 years. Never any issues with my membership and staff are always really helpful. I really love training here mainly for having alot of equipment and space
Negative experience: I gave it a 2 star because he never opens on time. Claims it opens at 6 but always waiting outisde for 5-10mins. Equipment is good but bit small
Negative experience: Only half number of showers are acessible. It is quite frequent that body shampoo or soap runs out in these showers without people refilling. Sauna and steam room are usually inaccessible during weekend when most people are free to hit the gym. They claimed to be only open during ‘staffed’ hours 8-3pm Saturday and 9am-12pm on Sunday. Electronic lockers malfunction occasionally and your belongings are put in lockers at your own risk. Locked lockers with padlocks are limited to only 6nos and clearly they are occupied most of the time. Bad experience with staff and the amenities!
Negative experience: Lockers that you can't lock response from staff oh they don't work at the moment.... what a joke.. go back to padlocks

Negative experience: All the paper towel machines were empty and most of the sanitiser machines were empty....despite there being voice overs reminding everyone to sanitise their machines. Washed my hands and the water was almost black from the machines.
Negative experience: Came to do a class. Class time was different to what was advertised online - it had already been going for 15 minutes when we arrived. It was freezing in the gym. There was equipment everywhere. The equipment is dated. The bathrooms are filthy. The carpet is disgusting. Everything has a layer of grime and dirt. The music is dated and tacky. There are no yoga/floor mats or good foam rollers. SORT. IT. OUT.
Positive experience: The relaxation areas are absolutely brilliant though they aren't gender specific. This place is relatively spacious though it can be confusing for new comers. Not to much in machine variety but it has the staples on what you might be after. Women's room is rather cramped though
Negative experience: I’ve been here a fair amount recently to use the stair master on the bottom floor, and the amount of people I’ve seen not wipe down equipment after using is disgusting. It makes sense because I thought the equipment felt gross. I’m finally writing this because I just witnessed someone profusely sweating all over the stair master..buttons and all, no towel and just walk out. I had to wipe it because the thought of someone else jumping on there and pressing those buttons horrified me. Maybe a staff member should be cleaning the equipment every arvo or start giving out warnings to people for being unhygienic. Also filling the hand sanitiser in that area would be great 25/9 6.30 am The photos dont do it justice
Negative experience: Goodlife gyms are continuously reducing their staffed hours. No more early morning sauna for all the regulars who have enjoyed this ritual for years. Very unfortunate
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, always clean and staff always willing to help out, been here for a while now and it’s looking like I’ll stay!
Negative experience: Overpriced. The equipments are quite old and always have to wait to use them. The bathroom and the locker area are not clean. Poor maintenance. The staffs are usually only friendly when they want you to take up a membership. It's told "24/7" but the access cards don't work. The tags were not provided as they "ran out of it". The Sauna and steamrooms are closed by 7 sometimes earlier. So you can't really enjoy it. Lock in contract! Which means you can't break it if you don't like it.
Negative experience: This gym does not have sona bath and steam bath, I do not recomend towoomba good life. Other eise good life is a best gym. I am with goodlife since 2012.
Fantastic experience: To the contrary on negative reviews, I find the gym amazing. Front desk staff are always good to me, machines are always working and no issues. Jean-Luke Duvenage is a great Trainer here. Only negative, the inconsiderate members that use machines and don't clean after use despite numerous cleaning facilities.

Negative experience: Dirtiest gym ever
Negative experience: This place needs a revamp after 20yrs was originally Fitness First. Womens showers need regrouting & there’s mould everywhere in the showers. Your aromatherapy room smells like wet gym socks…. aromatherapy alright. Sometimes I even question if you even hire cleaners.
Positive experience: It is not too bad, but it feels gringy though. It will be nice if they change the old used smelly carpets. Great studios and spacious areas
Positive experience: Relatively nice gym overall. But the ceilings are quite low and it doesn't have the best ventilation, so when it gets busy it smells quite musky and gross.
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out with the family…friendly staff who are always willing to help out and provide support…especially thanks to Ayden who help us around the place
Negative experience: The lady at reception this morning has attitude. Not friendly at all.
Positive experience: Anything that involves assistance from the staff wouldn't be done easily. Be prepared to wait for weeks and ask them a million times.
Positive experience: Be careful with their customer representative, particularly if you are requesting cancellation. If you call them and give a month notice and when you call them again when your actual cancellation date comes, they may say that you never requested cancellation. You may have to give them your call record to prove that you did call. Very strange. Finally they did sorted out after I gave them my call record.

Positive experience: I love goodlife gyms but I do not like this location. The car park is super small and down a hill and when it fills up there’s not point as it’s on a massive main road. Also the gym is spread out over 3 floors which for some people is really inconvenient. I didn’t enjoy the equipment choice here I would recommend Alexandra Hills Goodlife over here.
Positive experience: Great gym, friendly staff and has a great mellow vibe. Only problems are that the steam room and sauna should be open 24hrs. Why do they get shut off when the gym is unstaffed? Lockers are probably the only other issue, you can never get a swipe card to use them.
