Negative experience: Below average gymnasium. Frequently messy with weights on the floor and equipment misplaced . No, floor presence from staff. Only convenient because it’s close, however Wolli Creek anytime fitness up the road outshines this gym by mile.

Negative experience: While the staff at this gym are incredibly friendly and helpful, the facility itself has significant maintenance issues. Machines are often left broken for weeks, d handles & ropes are in a bad shape and cleanliness is lacking. With better maintenance, this gym could truly match the great energy of its staff.

Negative experience: The gym has a lot of potential, but maintenance needs improvement. There’s always a delay in fixing broken equipment—it’s been almost a month since a cable wire broke, and it still hasn’t been repaired. This isn’t the first time either; repairs are often delayed, which is frustrating for regulars who rely on specific machines. Additionally, the narrow spacing between equipment makes it feel cramped, making it harder to navigate and complete workouts comfortably. With better maintenance and a more spacious layout, the gym could offer a much better experience.

Negative experience: It used to be a very good gym but is now is all about revenue. Too many sales to gather new members making it impossible to have a decent workout between 5-8pm - be ready to share even dumbbells at these hours. No maintenance or improvements at all. Pics shows everything that is broken/out of order at the same time and the repair takes over a month. Consider other gyms in the area.

Negative experience: Decent equipment in a small and cramped space. Unfortunately nobody uses a towel, nobody re-racks weights, and the staff don't seem to care. The place is a bit of a mess. Could use a few more bathrooms also.

Positive experience: Great facility would give a 5/5 but it's so insanely crowded during peak hours, and busy otherwise that I don't even go. Only finding a few hours here and there when the gym has 10-20 people, rare to have less than 10. If you want to train during peak hours, maybe consider another place otherwise Goodluck

Negative experience: I am having a really bad experience with Anytime Fitness Rockdale. After purchasing a new phone, I found that my phone key does not work on the new device. I initially contacted Anytime Fitness Rockdale, and they asked me to try using my old phone, but I had already reset all the data on it. They then directed me to contact support. Despite doing so, my issue remains unresolved, and after a few days, they stopped responding to my emails. I visited the Rockdale location in person, despite not living in Rockdale anymore, but no one there knew how to help me. They also said they couldn't provide me with a physical key. For the past three weeks, I've been paying for a service I can't use. I've sent two additional emails requesting assistance and even asked for cancellation, but I have not received any responses. I am unable to access the gym without my key, and the notifications I receive when trying to log in on my new phone remain unresolved. My emails have been ignored since Monday. I definitely do not recommend Anytime Fitness Rockdale.

Negative experience: It's in the too hard a basket, especially when the company Debit Success is involved.

Negative experience: Tried to resolve simple membership issues for 4 months. Zero effort made to help me while still a paying member. Not one call from the management even though every conversation advised management will look into it and call you to resolve. This reflects on many 1 star rating and no help from management. They don't care. If you are having issues they will not try to find a solution. Stay away from Rockdale anytime...zero customer service.

Negative experience: Very small gym and all equipment very close to each other. There’s hardly any parking and no staff on site after 8pm meaning you’ll be unprotected should anything happen. This type of gym is not my preference.

Negative experience: EDIT: After 2 weeks, 4x contact attempts and no sight of a refund, I am claiming credit card fraud and going straight to fair trading. I recommend you do the same if you're also going through this. Very DECEPTIVE and a TOTAL SCAM I cancelled my contract with anytime fitness rockdale within 24 hours, well within the 7 day cooling off period after I was told “all good you can cancel anytime within the 7 day cool off period”. Whether intentional or not the lady failed to tell me I would loose $100 on an access key I would never use. We had what I thought was a good conversation on the gym benefits etc, I was asked to sign the agreement where she specifically pointed at the signature section. I signed, and the agreement was packed away, i didn’t even have a chance to read the cancellation policy nor was I directed to. In fact the lady only ever conveniently showed me page 1 and 13 of the contract where my signature was required. I only realized the agreement was 14 pages after finding the digital copy on my phone. I have requested cancellation, and after speaking with staff I was told I would be contacted within 24hours. It’s been over 48 and I expect they won’t be contacting me anytime soon. I feel totally scammed and am telling everyone to avoid this franchise as there are so many other gyms without all the deceptive sales practices. I HIGHLY recommend against signing the contract on the spot. Do your research, ask heaps of questions, but don’t trust the staff and get a copy of the contract. Mind you I applied for a 30 day mini trial which low and behold you have to sign up to a contract to access. Of course they don’t say any of that online. Total absolute scam

Negative experience: Too expensive! $56 a fortnight!! Peak hours is too packed, compare to Bankstown that has whole building 3 levels they charge $49. It's a rip off ! I'm leaving anytime rockdale too. There are plenty cheaper options around.

Fantastic experience: Working with Hassan in group fitness classes has been amazing. He’s very motivating and he’s always giving advice on correct form and challenging our different abilities. I could not highly recommend Hassan enough. I look forward to coming to the gym of an evening to see what class he has put together for us and it goes to show the hard work and dedication that he puts into each class. He has an inspiring journey and it has been great watching him evolve over the past year into the great Trainer that he is today. Negative experience: I joined the AF last year. Want to cancel my membership. But the team just ignoring the fact that I want to cancel and keep pushing me to pay membership and pay the whole sum of the reaming month at once without any discount if I cancel. Only focus of the gym to take money in any situation without support to the customer.

Negative experience: This gym increases membership prices without informing customers and without any real justification . One reason that was give to me is that " we bought new Apps " haha what a joke! The gym has not invested in new equipments since 5 years or cable hooks always missing. I decided to cancel my membership and I urge every member to check his/her bank details and complain .

I cancelled my membership due to a move, but when my new gym asked them to release my passkey from theirsystem, they refused without any benefit to themselves. It seems their only intention was to cause me inconvenience or force me to incur extra costs."

Positive experience: One of the good AF branches, plenty of equipment for all sorts of weightlifting disciplines (weightlifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding, etc.) Staff are friendly. Toilets are also often clean. Only cons are it can be really crowded, and I mean REALLY crowded on peak hours. And the drinking fountain also doesn't have an upward spout, so you'll have to bring your water bottle which is pretty annoying if you forget to bring one

Fantastic experience: This gym is excellent, Ive been local to the area for over a decade and attended other popular gyms nearby (except FF, no way I’ll ever use FF Rockdale). Stopped training years ago while running a small business, got out during covid but gained a lot of weight and still no training. Anytime fitness at Rockdale is where I have committed to my rebuild. I have dropped a third of my body weight in fat and am months into a bodybuilding program. I’ve been able to reclaim my fitness, back into playing social sport and my frame of mind and confidence is back to where it ought to be. My journey and my achievements are my own but I would not have been able to make this progress without the support of the Anytime facility and staff. Been able to have a few technical talks with the staff, had some issues they helped out with and I’m looking forward to what I achieve at the club next. Thank you Olivia and Tahlia.

Negative experience: tldr: The gym is so dysfunctional during peak hour that I paid out 16 months of an 18 month contract (almost $1k) to switch to a gym where I could train without fighting for equipment every night. Pros: Staff are friendly Cons: Gym is extremely overcrowded. If you go during peak (4-8pm Mon-Fri) 50-70% of the equipment (machines, racks, rowers etc) is taken. There's only one of most pieces of equipment, so this guarantees you'll have to just throw your workout plan away and do whatever is free. There's no capacity limit on how many people sign up; I asked the staff today and they said if 100 people rocked up right now from the area they'd sign them all up in a heartbeat (and ruin it for everyone in the process). There don't even have 100 pieces of equipment at this gym.

Fantastic experience: A wide (and sufficient) variety of gym equipment, actually clean (!!) toilets and last but certainly not least, awesome staff (Shoutout to Zamie and Tee :D)

Fantastic experience: Well lit, spacious and clean Anytime Fitness gym. I have visited many AFs and this is one of the better ones. Rockdale branch is modern and has a solid variety of equipment. There are PLENTY of mirrors, making it easy to check your form when lifting. Ground floor is where'll find the free weights, pinloaded machines, squat racks, benchs, deadlift platform and stretching area. On the level above, is where you'll find the cardio machines and some more free space for stretching or doing sled runs. I would visit AF Rockdale again.

Positive experience: Good gym with convenient location next to bunnings and Rockdale plaza, good crowd, and since it is open 24/7 so not too busy. I was a member for 1 year, had a good time there. The only drawback was there fixed contract of 1 year.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to AF Rockdale for a few months now and can say it's one of the best units in NSW. Facilities are clean and well maintained, they have good variety of equipment and it's not too crowded. Staff is really friendly and willing to help. Not the cheapest unit, but fairly priced for what they offer.

Positive experience: Went in today to ask for pricing. They only gave me two lock-in contract options 1 year or 1.5 years. The sign-up fee and key access fee are $240 in total and the weekly fee is $20+ can't remember how much exactly. No free trial available and they can't waive the sign-up fee and key access fee Although they are running a rest of year free promotion, definitely not cost-effective in the long run. so I didn't sign up

Negative experience: I have been going to Anytime Rockdale for many years and unfortunately I did not have a good experience with one of the staff members who shoulder barged me when passing by on the gym floor and did not apologise. The atmosphere of the gym is not the same. It is not appropriate for staff to touch members, let alone disrespectfully knock a member over. New members deserve to know how the staff are I have since been going to Bexley and Ramsgate and the staff are much more friendly to their members.

Negative experience: No good market, they force u to go to their gym to tell you the prices. That is a simple thing to do putting it on the website or just tell by phone. I asked by phone and a lady from anytime from rockdale didn't want to tell me the prices. And still trying to charge you join fee!!! You don't do that nowadays.

Positive experience: Well being in Rockdale with all the big boys that do heavy lifting they need to increase the number of weight plates in the gym. Like there are guys doing 700kg leg press which literally using all the 20kg plates . would be also better if they had wet satinizing tissues rather than towel paper and soap spray which does almost nothing.

Fantastic experience: Have to say as someone who’d not been in a gym for the best part of 20 years this place is awesome. Not once have I felt out of place here and everybody is proper friendly. The staff are always happy to help me with any questions I have and they seem to genuinely want to help and deliver their knowledge with a friendly smile. The equipment is top of the line and there’s no shortage of it either.

Positive experience: Anytime Fitness Rockdale is a recently constructed site for this chain. The usual std of heavy duty gear is here, there's a mezzanine deck for cardio and some weights. The gear is more or less grouped logically, so you can superset. Aircon on a 27 degree day was marginal, but it's a converted industrial unit, so more money needed to be spent on the ceiling insulation than it got. Circulation space on the floor is typical for AF, ie a bit tight, but it's certainly OK. Lots of gear, and options, so the Saturday afternoon I was there, no waiting, and supersets as I chose, ie the adjacent machine tended to be free. All good! Another site for the AF steamroller.
