Fantastic experience: Amazing family friendly facility! There’s just everything you need under one roof- Pool, gym, tennis court, squash court, classes, crèche, cafe! The staffs are really friendly & welcoming! I will definitely recommend my family & friends to join NextGen!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Next Gen Ryde. The club provides a wide range of activities and fitness options to suit various interests and skill levels. Everyone—from the staff to the members—is incredibly welcoming, polite, and supportive, creating a genuinely positive atmosphere. As a remote worker, I particularly appreciated the dedicated working spaces and the café inside the club. It’s perfect for grabbing a quick snack after a workout and offers a pleasant, quiet environment to stay productive. The free Wi-Fi was a huge plus, making it easy to get work done in a comfortable setting. I also want to highlight the club’s honest and transparent business practices. When I encountered a small membership issue, Tom Standen and the Next Gen Ryde team resolved it quickly and professionally. Their prompt response and open communication truly left a lasting positive impression. I highly recommend it and will definitely consider returning in the future!

Negative experience: A potential new client seeking information and direction on services, fees and contract requirements. Recovering from a chronic illness these past five years I was keen to book a tour and recommence my health journey (retired police officer). Several appointments had been made but were required for rescheduling for reasons that I wish not to disclose. I returned a missed telephone call from this business and Client Services Team Member Cameron answered. Situation was explained and Cameron offered on two occasions to prepare a quote and send to me, this did not occur and Cameron directed me to work out the ‘quote’ per se from the website. Hmm slight quandary is that this self directed self help methodology fails to provide the T&Cs of ‘The Contract’. So the resultant outcome was a loss of income, credibility and an additional nib bounding through the door. ******************************************************************Wednesday 11th December 2024 Having received the response from the "Owner", the blanketed commentary, false information and lack of ownership of poor customer service has further cemented my opinion that I would never invest within this organisation. Poor business management, poor time response, poor written and verbal communication, please learn how to respect people and you may wish to reinvest in Business School to learn effective communication and conflict dispute resolution. Hi Tracy, I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with the club and we will endeavour to work on ways to help provide better services moving forward. I have spoken with Callum (the team member you spoke with on the phone) and have addressed your concerns. Callum mentioned that he had tried to send you a quote to join the club, but to do so we needed to know what type of membership you were interested in so you could join on the correct price (When we send a quote it is for a set membership and cannot be changed). You were reluctant to provide us with any information in this space so we were unable to send you a completed quote. The T&C's of the contract are on the quote which you were never able to view. If you would like to know pricing for memberships they are available on our website and you will not need to provide us with any details if you do not wish to. Alternatively, if you can call, Callum would be more than happy to help you through pricing and any questions you have relating to the contract - you will however need to provide some information to him so we can give you the correct pricing and information. Negative experience: Extremely horrible, service and People at the Gym.I had to switch the gym in 3 months.Not to talk of pathetic swimming lessons, they literally teach nothing plus charges are double. Not only that, they are cheat and had taken money from me for swimming lessons I did not take, 4 lessons and i have been following up with them for refund for more than a month and still nothing they have done.I had to complaint about them at NSW Fair trading.Highly disgusting service!!!!!Sadly the way they are working unethically is going to cause them to loose customers.

Negative experience: The management is aggressive, a disruptive force, definitely duplicitous without personal skills, and unprofessional! The manager stated that bullying was not tollerated. Yet my experience of being bullied was ignored and I was barred after 12 years membership without a right to reply. THAT IS BULLYING!

Positive experience: So much wasted potential while charging a premium. Great facilities, but they could be cleaner, particularly the pool area. The group fitness timetable caters to mums and they have an amazing creche with excellent staff, but there are almost no classes for anyone working a day job. The timetable is also quite heavily populated with yoga/pilates, which is a shame when they have an excellent cycle studio. The group fitness instructors for the full length classes are decent, but the trainers running the shorter classes on the gym floor are pretty hit and miss. The front desk staff don't have a very good grasp on what's going on and it is hard to contact anyone else. The wasted opportunity to build a community in a place with such a broad range of facilities is really such a shame.

Fantastic experience: Next Gen is a great gym with loads of facilities and a huge gym floor. Best of all is they have a huge Creche open 6 days a week! The staff are great there and I love that you can book your Bub into Creche on their app.

Fantastic experience: My child had a great trial lesson at Next Gen. The instructors are very friendly and nice. I've been in contact with Camille the coordinator on many occasions, she is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a fun, local place to send your kids this is a great option. Fantastic experience: The ladies in the Next Gen Creche are worth more than their weight in gold. They are friendly and caring and show my children so much love. I feel completely at ease knowing I can spend time on me while my kids are happy playing.

Negative experience: Definitely needs a massive upgrade! Old equipment in gym, many pieces not working, opening hours not sufficient (9pm close) very expensive for such a club. I was a member at another Next Gen interstate which is 6star and immaculate! Glad I only signed up for 3 months! At sign up onboarding staff were awesome....however never seen a smile since, customer service staff are horrible.. do not even look up when members are entering..Definitely not worth the money...

Positive experience: There is a good variety of classes. Aqua is great. I love Alicia's pilates. She's very good at explaining the exercises and she's fun. I also love Mel's body pump. Both instructors are very knowledgeable and run a good class.

Fantastic experience: Been doing Alicia’s Pilates class and Carol Ks yoga class for years and years > 20 yrs membership. Keep coming back every year to strengthen weak areas after my hip replacement. Enjoyable classes with teachers who are up to date with training. Both have a great and encouraging manner. Candice gives a great Pilates class and Angela similarly in Aqua.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I joined the club a couple of months ago and we couldn’t be more happier! The staff is lovely, the venue is always clean and the best part of it is definitely the Zumba class!! If you want to feel full of energy, please come to meet Galit! (Zumba class on monday, Wednesday and Saturday) she will not let you down! ✌

The only downside is every year when I renew my membership the price goes higher. The facilities and classes remain the same. When can we get rewarded for being long time members? Maybe 1 year a discount or a free coffee once a month?

Fantastic experience: The Creche at next gen is the most fantastic service! The ladies that work there are wonderful and so lovely, warm and caring. All my children have been coming to Creche since they were babies and they still love coming in. The facilities are great and clean with lots of toys to play with. The group fitness classes are amazing and always very challenging. Lea’s classes are the best! Such a great friendly vibe and always a killer workout. Lea will help you reach your fitness goals. The cafe is also a great service and there is plenty of lounge area to grab a coffee after your workout. Overall, Next Gen is an amazing club and you really feel like you are part of a community there. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Next Gen Ryde for over six years, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The facility itself is first-class, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, tennis and squash courts, pools, a steam room, a spa, and a sauna, all maintained in a clean and welcoming environment that makes every visit enjoyable. The staff are great. From the front desk team to the trainers, everyone is friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in helping members achieve their fitness goals. The variety of classes offered is impressive. Whether it’s high-intensity interval training, yoga, aqua, or strength training, there’s something for everyone. Each class is well-structured, and the flexible schedules fit well into my busy lifestyle. I want to give a special shout-out to the trainers who truly stand out. Ross, my wonderful PT, has an outstanding ability to push me just the right amount while ensuring proper form and technique. With his guidance and commitment, I was able to achieve my fitness and weight goals. Similarly, Adrian, who brings an infectious energy and a wealth of knowledge that makes his classes not only effective but also incredibly enjoyable. Their classes are both challenging and rewarding, making every session something to look forward to. Negative experience: Similar experience to others on here (wish I’d read before “joining”). Do not join! They are just after your money and couldn’t care less about member experience let alone fact classes are cancelled, parking is impossible and the service is non existent.
Hi David, We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We can see that you haven’t used the club since you joined. We’d love to see you experiencing our facilities. We have a very extensive group class timetable and rarely cancel classes. We have ample parking including the council parking outside the club and our members only parking. Negative experience: Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Refusal to take ownership of their mistakes - especially when it comes with a cost to you. Went all the way to the top to have some issues they created resolved but was left with the same results - refusal to accept the situation and just straight up shrugging me off. Horrible service. Go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here for over 6 years & feel very privileged to live so close to such an amazing fitness centre. Can't get over all the classes being free as well as the body scan. Great value for money! Happily they have recently fixed the water temperature issue in the indoor pool & now it is an absolute pleasure to swim there.

Fantastic experience: NextGen has been a great gym. I especially like the Zumba classes with Galit Marlow. She makes working out so much fun and her vivacious personality, energetic dance moves and general positive attitude is second to none. The staff at the front desk as very friendly. A special shout out to Riley T in sales who goes above and beyond to help out and make everyone feel welcome.

Positive experience: The water in the inside pool is not very warm for Aqua. Hard to control shower water to the right temp, so that it is comfortable to get under without burning oneself. Floor in ladies' bathroom very slippery, and the blast of cold air when entering from the pool is quite uncomfortable. There are still people spitting in the showers. The new locks on the locker doors could benefit from mentioning Green for open and free to use, RED for in use and will be locked.

Positive experience: Just a suggestion please. Can we have a water bottle refill machine downstairs ? The water jug & glasses at the cafe aren’t really sufficient. Helpful after pool & swimming activities. Thankyou I have had a reply to this message, but it is not shown here ? Suggesting to use the water refill near the squash courts/ changing rooms. That hasn’t been there for months !!! So no not possible l

Positive experience: I love the fact that this place has everything from swimming pools, courts and gym etc but accessibility is a bit of an issue. It’d be great to offer some sort of shuttle bus service to and from strathfield or rhodes or somewhere where there are abundant people. It is on the pricier side than regular Anytime or sort

Negative experience: Next Gen Ryde has the potential to be a top-notch fitness destination, but frequent maintenance issues with the equipment, change rooms, steam room, spa, etc. often detract from the experience. These recurring issues is frustrating for members.

Fantastic experience: Hi all, I have been training at next gen Ryde for four years. Hats off to all the trainers but special shoutout to lovely Michael - Mike who helped me transform my body right from day 1 on the gym. Initially ,when I was very new to the gym, Mike as personal trainer did an amazing job to achieve my fitness goals. I was constantly given heads up and knowledge about nutrition and muscle building, without his effort and training plan I would not be able to feel my best today by cutting down on body fat, building muscle and weight loss- by calorie deficit , of more than 10kgs in 3 months time. Mike makes each workout feel like playing video game and is always best suited for clients interest, need.This amazing, happy soul is very generous towards his clients by helping them out with any fitness questions despite not training them in person on that very day. I would definitely recommend Mike to all the clients to make positive balance in their health and fitness journey ahead. You are fabulous Mike !!!
