Positive experience: If the streets aren't ready for this, how could one expect a public institution to be. A hard four and half 1tz
Negative experience: If you need to suspend your gym membership for a longer time, just cancel it outright, and re apply when you are ready, in case you forget and they start direct debiting again. One star for attention. Gym is pretty small tho so wouldn’t be better than 3 stars.

Negative experience: Gym Specifically - They have 1 Power rack, 1 Squat rack and 1 Smith machine. I really wish they'd have at least double that since the gym gets so busy in and around peak hours. About half of the times I've gone this month they have all been occupied so its been Cardio and go.
Negative experience: They reduced the group classes by half without notice. I just rock up and to find out. They didn't give me refound despite they decreased the quality of their service while keeping the same price.
Fantastic experience: Really great friendly staff. The place is clean and tidy, easily accessible.

Fantastic experience: This is great place to be for fitness or gathering with friends, has a great library and indoor sports spots. For one price you can do a lot in here and it is a great value for low price

Positive experience: Easy access from two street frontage and ample parking for weekend basketball games. Just two courts and basic seating for spectators. Heavy rain makes the roof leak onto the courts.

Positive experience: Reasonable venue in terms of courts for various sports ... It would be great if one could access the venue, after-hours, from the underground carport, especially during the wet/winter season ? Would be even better with an active Cafeteria; would no doubt bring in much needed revenue for the facility, and off-set Council expenditure ! A bit of foresight wouldn't go astray Local Council and Management of The RISE !
Hi Adrian, we are happy to open the under croft, however to keep it permanently open of an evening can be a safety risk. We had a cafeteria here but unfortunately it closed down over the covid period. We are actively searching for another company to lease it as we are missing our morning coffees too :) Thanks again for the feedback

Fantastic experience: The rise has great volleyball courts. The serving space is decent however the viewing seats are located behind the courts so the potential of getting hit by a volleyball is pretty high.

Positive experience: Lots of things here - the Maylands library, a gym and many meeting rooms as well as a desk for dealing with some Bayswater City issues. What is missing is somewhere to buy a good coffee, the café shut some time ago. I believe there was a visiting JP available at specific times, an appointment was essential. The reason for my middling rating, I have problems walking to The Ruse now that crossing Railway Parade is almost impossible as is crossing Guildford Road. Both of these roads appear to favour drivers not those of us who choose other options, cycling or walking for instance. A crossing on Railway Parade was shut down and removed when the level crossing closed. The only ways of crossing without taking your life in your hands is at the lights of Grand Promenade or past the Maylands train station, neither of these favour pedestrians. Guildford Road has a crossing at Eighth Avenue but you have to wait forever and run when it changes. Slow walkers would be hit in the rush of traffic. These need to be fixed as a matter of urgency.

Positive experience: I go there quite often to enjoy the great selection of books and DVDs at the library. There's also a gym, sports courts, conference facilities and parking in the back. Though there isn't much parking.

Positive experience: In Reply to the Owner's comment. I was invited to a wedding reception (after party). Which I'm guessing was the functional room on Saturday the 4th of Jan 2020. There was no paper towel in the male bathroom and also the hand dryer was not working. How are we supposed to dry our hands? On another note there were cleaners in the building who seem to not care when I asked them about the issue. Other than that, it was a good experience.
