Fantastic experience: Life guards are very professional!

Negative experience: Shower water was extremely hot. So the experience was very bad.

Positive experience: The new pool and renovations are fantastic. Pool is heated to 27 degrees. Staff very friendly. Only downfall is the change rooms, ladies, have not been revamped and were so dirty when I went to change at 4 pm yesterday. Toilets not flushed , toilet paper on floor and very unhygienic looking. Probably just needs a regular check to ensure it’s clean.

Fantastic experience: Perfect venue, well run

Negative experience: Was served at the reception by this lady which racially profiled my partner of colour. She immediately assumed my partner wasn’t with me & my family. Tells him to move away & to get back in the line. This really caught us off guard. Generally just a very rude interaction. Hopefully we aren’t served by her again.

Positive experience: Awesome place to swim and cool off and no sharks to worry about

Positive experience: The place was massive, and being a swimming student there, I was able to access the outside pool, the one that is the largest in the southern hemisphere. Only problem being the overly used chlorine in the pools. Great staff too.

Fantastic experience: Largest outdoor pool in the southern hemisphere apparently? It's fairly large, 2m depth, 25 + 50m lanes available. Outdoor pool is heated.

Negative experience: The pool, spa and sauna are very nice, however the pool attendant shuts down all the pool area 15-20 minutes before thr close time. He comes and open the Sauna door wide open and say we are shutting down. in a place like this you expect the facility are operating in full capacity during opening hours and u font expect to be kicked out 20 min earlier. The staff should respect the rules as it is reflection to the respect of the members, the staff should not make their own rules and they have to keep the pool opened until the exact close time, very disappointed.

Negative experience: We were kicked off the lanes to the slow lanes despite us asking whether there's swimming lanes available. It should be communicated that swimming lessons will be occupying most lanes before letting us in. Such a waste of time!

Positive experience: That has been my local pool for the last 5 years. If you can go outside of peak times you will have a better chance to get a lane for yourself or share it with one or 2 only. My only suggestion would be to adjust the temperature in the showers. It is sooooo hot It burns my scalp and we don't have the option to adjust it. The tap seems a bit moody as well and only works when it wants to.

Negative experience: Recently just joined and about to cancel. $50 sign up fee for 1 bathroom at the gym and no guaranteed use of the toilet or shower in the pool area either. Wanted to use the bathroom, couldn't because of cleaning, so went back in the sauna for 30 minutes and still couldn't use the bathroom. When you come out of a group class you can all battle for 1 bathroom/ shower as well.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and friendly staff

Positive experience: We arrived at 1130 and walked in pool for 1 hour. When we walked past change rooms they were being cleaned. We walked for 1 hour and went to spa. 1 lady had no wristband. 30 mins in spa. Ladies showers still being cleaned.

Fantastic experience: Swimming courses are very good. Teacher are very patient and professional. My kid likes swimming here.

Positive experience: I enjoy being a member, the staff are lovely and professional. Clean facilities with good gear. Classes are awesome too. I however wish there was a couple things done to make the place perfect : - More consistent floor cleaning around the pool - Kids gym classes on Mondays are not ideal (it's such a busy day and members are already struggling to share the machines, why add 6-8 kids on top of that?!) - the outdoor pool taking forever to be completed... - I never use the spa and have never seen a single female in it because it's constantly full of men who spend hours in it and stare at you when you walk past. Not inviting :/

Positive experience: good centre for what it is but people constantly use the wrong swimming lanes which often makes it really difficult to get a good swim in, the staff do absolutely nothing about it which is really disappointing. Instead of ignoring the issue and saying "the fast/medium/slow lanes are just a guide" you should be actively creating a culture where people respect other swimmers and the lane speeds. I'm not being precious about people going a slightly different pace, it's literally people walking or treading water in the fast and medium lane when there's only 1 fast lane and 1 medium lane. Staff need to up their game and direct swimmers to appropriate lanes. 1 lane for swimming fast and at least half the entire pool for walking, water aerobics etc but still people walking in lanes for swimmers doing laps.

Negative experience: Way too small for all the people. Only one shower for the whole wellness area. Change/toilet often closed for cleaning and nowhere else to go. Majority of lanes taken. Outside pool closed, no communication about when it's going to reopen. 50$ sign up fee for scanning a QR code on a piece of paper and doing it all online myself? Single use colored plastic wristband to use the wellness area. What about sustainability? Very disappointed going here after experiencing how the Cannington leisure centres do the job so much better. Do not recommend this place

Positive experience: Great place for me, very convenient to my residence. Will be glad when the out door pools open. I find the temperature inside way to warm which stops me from going. The temperature of the showers need adjustment far to hot for the middle of summer, they are unpleasant to use, especially if your older like me.

Negative experience: Pointless membership. Costs so much and I am never able to use the pools as 3-4 lanes always seem to be reserved. The spa is either closed or very busy. The outdoor pools seem to never gonna open. Waste of money

Negative experience: First time here the guard is very rigid and constantly telling people off. Paying for the pool however 3/4 is allocated for swimming lessons, and all people has to squeeze into one corner. The customer service experience from front desk is great but the guard is not friendly at all. Thinking to join the membership however because of rigidity of the guards we won't come back here.

Negative experience: No one wipes their stuff down after use. It’s gross, the staff used to enforce this. Now however, it seems that no one cares.

Negative experience: Very grumpy receptionist that she didn't even reply back when I said to her good morning !!!!

Negative experience: Very disappointed that the pool attendants don't monitor when people aren't walking in the walking lane. There was a circle of women taking up a large space in the walking lane when they should have been in the leisure lane. I heard from others in the leisure lane (where I ended up walking due to walking lane being blocked), that they have previously become abusive to people who complain. I can only imagine if I had started walking in a swim lane, I'm sure I'd have been asked to move on. Better regulation would help avoid people being abused for speaking up.

Fantastic experience: You never really know how good you have it until you experience "the other side". I have always enjoyed time spent in the Terry Tysack pools,both inside and outside, largely attributed to the very friendly and helpful staff and overall energy always presented. Given the current refurbishment of the outside I chose to frequent Beatty Park to take advantage of the sunshine. Interesting to say the least.... the water is good but that's where it stops. I'm not looking to complain about them here but rather to thank all those at Terry Tysack who make a huge difference to our experience and make it a destination worth paying a membership for and coming back to. Thank you for simply being you, showing up day after day and providing exceptional,professional and friendly service no matter what. Whilst some days it may not feel like, you are appreciated and your Service doesn't go unnoticed and makes a huge difference!!

Fantastic experience: Such a well equipped and reasonably priced centre. Staff are super friendly. Especially John who manages the front desk of the swimming pool area. Very knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help.

Negative experience: Super disappointed in the pool, close the outside pools off in summer for renovations...kids pool was packed, and swimming lessons going on as well, really potent with chlorine and no air circulating, not even a door open, no Cafe anymore..

Negative experience: I regret cancelling my previous gym membership and getting a new full-access one with these guys 3 weeks ago. Beware of the treadmills! They look nice but don't have essential apps like YouTube or Netflix so you can enjoy your workout. It's frustrating. Of course, I'm cancelling my membership.

Negative experience: Condescending receptionist, ridiculous rules of children not allowed in the waking lane. One woman trying to start a pick up conversation with hubby. The shock on her face when my son went over to his dad, pathetic. We will definitely not be going back there. Both son and hubby feeling sick since that visit to this pool. If there was no star rating, that is what this place is , no star .

Positive experience: Lovely staff Plenty of parking Had swimming lessons on but still room for general public

Negative experience: The pool is to crowded and dirty and I found 2 bandages in the pool. So all I'm just saying is that you need to take pride in your pools.

Positive experience: I've been taking the little one here at least once a week for years. It's nice, BUT (big but) it's not a place for play. The indoor pool is small, usually taken up with lessons, and has little for kids to do. Beatty Park is better for play. For lessons though, they do a great job. It's clean and recently done up. Another downside is Stirling's pricing, but it could be worse.

Negative experience: This pool used to be a great place to go with the family. Now since the renovations is dead. They charged us $12 for both me & my 2yr, then the change rooms for us to use were closed for over 20 mins due to cleaning so I had to use the adult ones. No wonder the place was empty. Bayswater is a lot better & Beatty park was full.

Positive experience: Nice gym, always have enough equipment and never crowded. Broken machines get fixed quickly and staff are always nice. With the Stirling fit app, you can participate more at the gym such as joining challenges. Good environment for a workout.

Fantastic experience: Just got my daughter in swim school - she’s been to 3 swim schools on and off but never gets comfortable enough to get her head under and never wants to go. Tommaso in the Friday class has managed to get her doing more in 20 minutes then I’ve done in 3 years and she’s so happy! He’s been engaging and kind from the start and she’s got her face in the water without a care in the world. Highly recommend

Negative experience: Only wanted a drink while out walking my dog,however was told shop has been closed since covid.. so can't really be much help.

Negative experience: I visited the pools today. Upon entry the admin lady demanded to see our mask exemptions which is a contravention of the Privacy Act 1988. Also upon leaving the admin lady wanted to see them aswell but because we were on our way out she did not push the issue. I suggest the management staff train their staff up on the legalities of mask exemptions in accordance with the 1988 Privacy Act

Fantastic experience: Receptionists Jackie and Vicki are fantastic to my client who has a disability and is endeavouring to be more independent. They are so patient with him and engage in conversation appropriate to his level, which makes his day. Dawn, Jimmy and Daniel amongst other lifeguards also make a real effort to support my client's efforts to swim at the pool. It is very much appreciated.

Negative experience: Doing renovations so hopefully it improves but the physio and Walking lane is always full of young kids jumping around, despite a sign saying no children and the staff just ignore it. There is always only half a lane allocated for that and yet it’s the busiest lane..do better please I know a few people who refuse to use this place for the same reason, I’m on my way out too! you don’t see the kids in the swimming lanes?!?

Fantastic experience: Beautiful pool to go to! I live very close to it's very convenient. Outdoor area is very nice with trees to sit under and with great shade.

Positive experience: A good day out with the grandchildren but the venue is in need of some maintenance plus a cafeteria or a food outlet would be desirable

Negative experience: Most of the amenities and indoor pool were closed. Being a red-haired Gran with a red-haired Granbaby, there just wasn't enough shade. The pool we swam in was covered but once we got out, we had to leave. I'm sure post Covid and maintenance being completed, it will be back to the pool I remember. PS. Plant more trees.

Positive experience: Place is a little dated but currently there are renovations taking place

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, pools and facilities. Service is fantastic as the staff don't pressure you and allow you to take your time in deciding whether to join. Will give you a free trial and don't try and sell you unnecessary memberships like some other gyms. You have the option of monthly or yearly at the same rate. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted in how the swimming instructor Rachel treated my son ! He didn't want to do one of the things they were getting taught as Rachel let go of him when she was showing him what to do n he got scared n Swollowed water , he has anxiety which doesn't help ! She then had him in tears he is only 7 years old , n said of he didn't do it then he was to get out . My son stayed in the corner crying , then she didn't.wamt him to participate in the activities they were doing as he wouldn't do his front dive n be littles.hom Infront of everyone n was a bully !! My 9 year old daughter was there as she is in the same lesson as my son n she was upset hoW her brother was treated! Rachel is a complete.bully n I would never recommend her to anyone ! I will be going further with this as I do not condone This sort of behaviour towards my.children U can not force a child.to do something they don't want to do or are scared to do it just Puts more fear I to them ! Rachel shouldn't be in this work force if she's going to treat the children like this !!!

Fantastic experience: Great team at the centre always friendly and helpful getting to know the regulars good atmosphere, just needs something done about the filters as the pool is getting dirtier over time, otherwise this is a great facility and impressive gym too.

Positive experience: Clean Gym. Good equipment and the staff in the gym and group classes are awsome.

Negative experience: The swim school has a very terrible service. The instructor is always different, my kids aren't progressing and it looks like it's our bad. It's been a year without going up the level. Talking to the instructor and the management is pretty much useless. Please send your kids elsewhere!

Positive experience: Great place and good for group classes for whats included in the price. It is just an odd layout between the gym and the rest of the facility, where you have to leave the building to go from swimming pool side to the gym/group fitness classes.

Positive experience: I have my son signed up for swim lessons here, as much as I like the facilities and the casual swimming here the swim lessons are sub par. We have a new instructor almost every week, not sure how they are supposed to get an idea of how he's improving and what to work on. Also during covid situations, no communication is sent out to those enrolled when there isn't class. All other gyms are open but for some reason no swim class.

Positive experience: nice pool, although lanes are occasionally blocked for swimming lessons, but it should be fine on weekends if you want to go there.

Positive experience: The 3.5m pool needs a good clean. All the edges black and grotty. The walk from the bbq to that pool was all along a hot path no shade. No other outside pool available for a leisure swim. And no where to sit in the shade outside. Hmmm

Negative experience: I've been to Terry Tyzack with my 2.5 years old toddler, as much as I like it there I have a thing to share. For me and him and the use of the kids pool we got charged $12.10. The day before we went to Craigie Leisure centre we got charged for exactly the same $6.80. Similar facilities, similar council run setup yet 100% difference in price. When I asked at Terry Tyzack how the fee is calculated I was told by the short brown hair lady at the reception that I am being charged full fee as I am inside the pool standing with the toddler. When I pointed out the fee difference in comparison to Craigie she told me "that's what it is here, if you don't like it go back to Craigie". I find it quite unfortunate, the pricing policy as well as the approach.

Negative experience: 5 lanes taken up by the squad Mon/Wed/Fri from 6am-7am. 1 lane reserved for walkers Mon/Wed/Fri from 6am-7am 2 lanes left for all other swimmers Mon/Wed/Fri from 6am-7am Not very good management at all If the walkers used the other outside pool during these times, much better

Fantastic experience: My experience here is that it was really nice, they have all the facilities you can ask for, a spa, kids pool an adult pool and a lunch bar! I would really recommend all of you who live in Western Australia to come down to this place!

Negative experience: I have been going to TT for 10 years now. The service just gets worse and worse. The attitude of staff is appalling. Reception staff and life guard staff just the worst. The facilities are inadequate and outdated. City of Stirling parks and playgrounds are just the same. Have to do better. Wont be going back.

Positive experience: It was fine for my purposes. Arrived before 09:00 so the physio/walking lanes we not congested. Unfortunately an ongoing problem with the processing of my registration (since Monday) has still not been ironed out. Staff comp'd me today's session so I'm happy with that.
