Clifton Aquatic Centre- Pool/Cafe/Gym

Fantastic experience: Fabulous coffee and treats ,always happy staff !!

Negative experience: I’m not a person to leave reviews but this morning I was actually disgusted in how I was spoken too! I’m a support worker and my participant wanted to go to the gym this morning, we arrived at the gym everything was all good the lady that served us was nice and my participant paid $15 and I stated very clear that I’m a support worker I’m here to help them, not workout myself. Spent about 10 minutes in the gym my participant was using the treadmill and I was just sitting on the preacher curl machine as a seat wasn’t even a bar or weights loaded on. (We were the only ones in the gym) I then stood up as they hopped off the treadmill, one of the staff members opened the door and asked us if we have both paid to use equipment I replied my participant has I’m not working out I’m a support worker just here to help them. She then accused me of working out last time we were there, I helped my participant on their form so they didn’t hurt themselves! The tone in her voice was very rude she stated you must pay to be in here to use equipment, I said again I’m not using the equipment just helping them out and she kept saying you must pay to be in here, I then said so I must pay to stand in here and she said yes. I shook my head and said well I have to be here with them, if not he will need a refund no reply to that. I left calmly but I’m just very disappointed that a small town aquatic centre could be so money hungry to not let a support worker do their job!

Fantastic experience: Lovely small town pool complex. Beach entrance toddler pool outside with BBQ and seating, plus a large indoor pool with ramp access. Kiosk selling drinks, snacks and hot chips and a lovely little outdoor play area. We will definitely be back!

Positive experience: Pleasant surroundings outside, with the main pool under cover - great for all weather and sheltered from the winds. Convenient pool shop for drinks, and their hot chips are yum. Not olympic size, but for a country town the pool is way big enough.

Fantastic experience: Great pool for children. So great to have a covered pool area, my granddaughter's are from Goondiwindi and wish the pool there would have the same covering. Excellent facility and fees are in line with other facilities. Thank you to Jo.
