Negative experience: Staff is absolutely horrible. Usually any other night they are very nice and let my park my bike inside this time they didn’t.The bloke working on September 21 at 5:40 at the front desk was extremely disrespectful and rude and swore at my son who had his bike. My son only being 13 years old was shocked. I hope this complex can review their staff and make some positive changes

Negative experience: the actual facilities are alright at this place but the staff here are the most terrible staff I have ever met. The staff usually never even try to resolve anything and never take responsibility for anything, blaming it on computers or on you. There are far too many human errors and the court availability is never accurate. The staff are also extremely Prejudice especially to teenagers. I asked if I could get a pass to go to the basketball courts and out of no where they said I was going to sneak into the gym and the courts weren’t available. I wasn’t with any friend and I just wanted to dribble around even if I didn’t have a hoop. I also didn’t know any of the staff since it was my first time going but after years of going this place has gotten worse and worse and the staff are always making up new rules or when they see their shift is over they just leave without caring. Most of the good reviews you even see are from years ago so if you want to go to this place just get a normal membership and talk to the manager instead of the staff because they are basically just maccas employees

Fantastic experience: Good surface and lighting. Courts are well spaced. The car parking area is pretty dark, but overall, it is a great place for basketball.

Negative experience: Atrocious service at these courts tonight. We booked a court far in advance, just to turn up on time and have them cancel the booking (with no notice) because they had “double booked the court” for a bigger organisation. No understanding, solutions, apologies or further compensation (beyond a refund) was given. It was a huge let down and we left feeling utterly disrespected and disregarded by the staff. We won’t be back here again. *insert thumbs down*

Negative experience: Lucky didn't purchase the membership. Courts maintenance got worsen since the change of management. And they just couldn't use a better court booking systems can't imagine people still needs to make calls to book in courts and activities. Not a suprise they are making human mistakes and claiming that there's a sustem error lmfao.

Negative experience: Horribly managed, court booking today got doubled booked and only got notified when we arrived to the centre to play basketball. Supervisor didn't do anything about it and just said he couldn't do anything. No extra notice that it was cancelled or attempts to rectify the mistake. Terrible experience.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place with lots of facilities and activities to do, while membership costs can be a bit pricey to some the cost in my opinion is well worth it as you can have access to sports courts, pools, gyms and other stuff. There are also many clubs and activities available to you to help you on your health and well-being journey, the community here is very positive and there's tons of parking and access to public transport.

Negative experience: DO NOT send your child to this school holiday program. I have been trying to cancel a booking for 3 days without any success. No one calls you back, they don’t respond to email and there is no direct email to the vacation care team. The complex has nothing to do with the holiday program and can’t help at all. There was no option to do it online either. Basically you cannot contact anybody.

Negative experience: The staff misled me not to cancel my child’s membership said it will cost more to register her back (actually it was not true as I found on their website junior’s registration is free) Then I chose suspending the membership instead. As my child is in year 11, the study is intensive and got no time to do gym, and I was very busy as well, none of us realized the membership was quietly reactivated in Oct and charged me for 6 weeks without any notification. So if your child wants to have a break, cancel your membership straight away. As we are all full hands Mum and so forgettable. I’d rather buy tickets than to register membership or do direct debit! Give Credit to unresponsive people just results in trouble for yourself!

Negative experience: Gym to small and charging expensive fees up to 30 bucks a week just for a small gym If you want to improve you all should: - set up a punching bag - expand the closure hours, like why shut at 10:30pm on weekdays and 8:00pm on Saturday, you all should close at 11:30pm to 12:00am - Probably invest in more equipment, I don't care if there is not enough space to fit in find a way to fit more stuff in

Positive experience: They got good basketball rims but the court is a little dusty. Overall good place to play ball with mates.

Fantastic experience: I attended a sports carnival for my son, the pool is clean, plenty of space, small nice cafe, friendly staff, well organised place.

Positive experience: Great outdoor pool for swimming and playing. Also a diving pool where it is jumping only from the diving boards which I found quite rediculous. There is a coffee shop, an indoor basketball court and other facilities that we didn't look at.

Negative experience: Honestly I would give this place a 0. The basketball system is not acceptable online it says 2 courts free but when you go in the courts are all booked. $6 wasted and 2 hours wasted. Would not recommend

Negative experience: The Swimming Pool and surrounding area was absolutely filthy. There was litter all over the place, and bins were overflowing. Old bandaids, food scraps and wrappers lined the pool. Sanitary bins in the female toilets were overflowing. It was pretty astonishing in this day and age to see a public pool in this state. Even the grass was dying off on the ‘lawns’. The staff were nice, but they were young and inexperienced. Management should be ashamed.

Negative experience: Called to hire volleyball court and told it was not available for evening as they need two person to set up and pack up. Better court preparation training is needed it is easily a one person job. Positive experience from the phone call was that the staff is very polite and understanding on the fact that the rule is not ok.

Negative experience: We were notified about gymnastics classes returning yet they started charging. I called to cancel but they kept charging. I sent emails but they kept charging! Avoid signing up for ongoing payments as you won’t be able to cancel!!

Positive experience: Swimming pool needs renovation urgently. Water quality is great but there are tiles falling off and the scale build up at the ends of the pool is dangerous if you're tumble turning.

Fantastic experience: Courts were really good, clean and for once a basketball court didnt smell like sweaty bodies and the air was actually clean, the benches and seating were really good and were clean and sturdy.

Negative experience: The front office receptionist Emma offered us quite indifferent and cold customer service. The management can provide some basic training for staff the meaning about warm, friendly, genuine, smile customer service.

Negative experience: Lack of compassion. Due to many shutdowns and pauses as a result of Covid-19 over the '20/'21 period, memberships were suspended (including regular payments). The establishment was permitted to re-open and I was not informed and subsequently charged multiple payments. Upon realising this, I approached the club to correct this, not with a refund, but simply to use the gym's facilities as per the nominal payments made. They did not accept this. Overall this a has left me quite disgruntled and I'm rather disappointed in the way they have treated me, especially during this difficult period. Be better to your members, show care and compassion.

Fantastic experience: I love this place coz the pool surrounds are nice and green, the 50m outdoor pool is clean, the ground floor change rooms are well kept. Staff are helpful and friendly. I don’t like that it gets really busy 4-6pm weekdays when so many lanes are closed for squad training. Makes for very very congested public lap swimming, especially in warmer months. I wish they would rent out one less lane than they do!

Negative experience: The whole experience from the customer service team is disgusting . What happened was they do the promotion at this moment for free trial for two weeks. And my wife called up two times to confirm if we joined it today and start after school holiday. My wife called and confirmed they said it is fine. As long as we signed up and it can be arranged. However ,when we arrived to the centre. The staff said no, and also the manager do not honour what they said. I would suggest all people should use black and white to get them to confirm. Because from the phone they will never hold their promise and they will put back the responsibility to customer. My wife was a very clear mind person when she make the called and ask the question. The whole point it is about $50. It is about how they handle the case, the manager was rude, I think the head office should provide him more training. I would suggest them they should upgrade the customer service phone system. For coaching and training purposes. If staff not trained and provide wrong information to customer. They should honour their mistake. Although this is very small issues. However, we will take it to next level to consumer affairs. From this reviews I wish all other people to avoid same things happened and same treated from their staff. Anything please get confirm email from them.

Negative experience: I booked this venue for my daughter’s birthday party , I’ve had previously a fantastic experience with this venue when my eldest daughter had her birthday there five years ago. This time it was very different, the entertainers were fabulous but I can’t say the same about the food served or the customer service from the cafe. Definitely not worth booking for value for money. Next time I will book somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Nice basketball Stadium and has the facility such as swimming pool and gym. Very strict before entering you have your mask on and security is at the front checking for Covid vac certificate. And if you have a dog you can use the dog Park enclosure at the back of the stadium near Car park Great place for your dog.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to have access to this marvellous facility. Its a godsend. Pool is amazing - beautiful, crystal clear, impeccably maintained. The double medium lane is just brilliant - enables everyone to swim at their own pace. Gym facilities are somewhat modest but well maintained. I'd be lost without BSC - as I learned all too well during lockdowns. Thank you to all the wonderful BSC staff!

Fantastic experience: Packed with any activity you can think of. Basketball, swimming pool. My son went for a basketball referee training this weekend. Great instructors who are also a referee's. If you want some exercise, this is definitely the pace to visit. Just visited the place for another basketball game yesterday. Court 1 is quite spacious.

Negative experience: The man working the front desk with the shaved mullet is incredibly rude to customers and tries to abuse the little power he has. Terrible customer service. Started yelling at us as soon as we walked in for no reason. Would not recommend coming to this place

Negative experience: Seems pretty illogical to make booking options at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 and to then move the opening time for online bookings to 8:00. 20 people per booking, there you have 60 people who are more than happy to get up at before 8:00am to swim, however petty complaints from people who find the booking system ‘too difficult’ to manage are getting their way, and still booking the early sessions. It’s very unfair to put those who are busy with commuting/school etc. at a disadvantage since their sessions are limited to start with.

Positive experience: I only used the pool but the water was wonderful really nice balanced temperature and I did not experience the chlorine eyes I have at other pools. The facilities are excellent but parking can be problematic at busy times.

Fantastic experience: Love this pool! Outdoor 50m that always seems clean and nice temperature to swim laps. Not too crowded wait her except for the really hot days. They sometimes have the diving board and pool open which is great entertainment for the kids.

Positive experience: Entry is bit confused but you will find alot of parking space, swiming is cheap for students just 5$and adult $8 near about. Life gruads there to look after you in swiming. But there is no hair dyers. Gym is also good.

Positive experience: Headed here for a Sunday morning swim. There was a storm in the neighborhood when I got there and the staff did a good job of keeping us out of the pool until it was safe. Enjoyed the swim, loved the pool. Well done to the crew.

Fantastic experience: Sporting venu is great. Could keep the cafe open a little longer but food is OK. Change rooms are a little grubby but what's to be done.

Fantastic experience: Love the 5 for $50 promo. Wished they could extend it. Enjoyed the pilates, core classes and the trainers are very knowledgeable in their area of expertise. Gym is new and modern, though smaller than the Hawthorn, Kew and Ashburton centres. The good thing is that you get access to all YMCA centres. Very convenient.

Fantastic experience: We've been attending Gymnastics classes here for years, basketball training, plus swimming. Great facilities lovely staff and wonderful gymnastics coaches. Parking could be better when busy but it's the same at every sports venue at peak times.. My only small gripe is the need for more family change rooms. Having 2 girls and 1 son, signage says that boys over a certain age can't come into the girls change room.. I understand that but there is limited options and not all 6/7 year old boys have the smarts to go into a public change room on there own.. 4pm during the week the girls bathroom downstairs is chaotic as everyone is trying to get ready for various sports young boys and girls alike..

Negative experience: The Center is poorly run and managed. Lack of enforcement of common sense rules have lead to poor outcomes that Center Management are too weak to address.

Positive experience: They have good facility for playing badminton. Need to book a bit early to get the AC court. The cost for swimming sessions for non members is also very cheap...I suppose it's around $7

Positive experience: I've been playing basketball in Hawthorn Basketball association for over a decade. The Boroondara Sports Complex is a regular venue to our fixture. With the recent renovations the complex has had a much needed facelift. With ample indoor basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton courts as well as a full service gym and pool; the BSC is a hub of fitness and exercise for the Boroondara community. Visit for a wonderful time all year round, rain or shine.

Negative experience: $25.70 for a casual visit in a "gym" that has limited equipment. Great if you want to do cardio. Cardio machines out number weight assisted by about 3 to 1.

Negative experience: Disappointing gymnastics classes for kids. Although my daughter assessed and she was eligible to move on to next level they kept her at Lower level for 6 month due to lack of vacancy . In spite of long waiting list they don't care to open new classes for higher level
