Fantastic experience: Best place for soccer

Negative experience: I took my baby to the play center here. And I will never go again. It was very dirty. There was no hygiene for babies.

Negative experience: Indoor footy Supervisor pulled me aside from my friends and told me he would “hook me” as a reaction to me touching his hat. Me and the supervisor have shared lots of friendly banter and all I did was pat his hat and making reference that it was the same colour as our indoor footy team jersey and that he could suit up for us. Do not recommend attending this place, let alone signing up for indoor footy. Completely unprofessional and a terrible competition with umpires who favour certain teams. If I had the option to select no stars, I would.

Negative experience: Hi i was very happy to find a place to going with my little grandson. For two times was good. Today i found that the childs play space is smaller as they divided for boxing. But it was so loud noises as they kick each other so we have to leave because my grandson was very scared. They must find a time with no little one in present. I want to ending to my review that it's everything okay now

Fantastic experience: Nice place to get active

Fantastic experience: Great gym facility. Great friendly staff full of sympathy and understanding. A lot of other facilities available as well but the only thing I feel missing is to use swimming pool facility. The pool is only for learning swimming.

Negative experience: Overall Appalling organisation! The way the Tennis head coach Vas Agnanos ran the Nejta section 4 competition this autumn season 2024 has been ridiculous and so wrong. We as parents still don't know how this kind of character can still be allowed to teach and run tennis programs. Ego maniacal behaviour, No compassion, no communication, cherry picking his group when all parents and kids pay the same Nejta fees. Tennis wise, the tennis coaching team is simply bad. Don't expect your kids to improve or thrive. It's just a big sham hidden behind a reputable name. I am happy to provide evidences to whoever is serious to make an enquiry. Until then please stay away.

Fantastic experience: Perfect to play tennis inside when it's raining, booking available through the website pretty busy so book in advance.

Fantastic experience: It's a great place to catch up with work colleague/friends with young kids at the children's play area. So good as it's mostly kids up to age 5. Food is reasonably priced and it's brought over to ur table

Negative experience: The swimming school is very poorly run. Classes are cancelled too often. When classes do run, the kids often start their class late, because kids are being moved around. This means there are times that the half an hour class starts 10 minutes late so you get 20 minutes when you paid for half an hour. I’d give the swim school 0 star if I could and I say this regretfully because I used to bring my older kids here and it wasn’t this terrible.

Negative experience: Overall centre has alot of activities although poorly run. Swimming classes keep getting cancelled which they charge for and only reimburse you when you tell them that the classes were cancelled. Administration team needs to be replaced.

Negative experience: My 5 year old daughter has been doing gymnastics for nearly 2 years, They keep her in the same level for a long time . No feed back or proper coaching given , My daughter already started saying that she doesn’t want to go here anymore , they should appreciate the kids at least each term with a certificate of appreciation/achievement, this will help them to be involved more with confidence.

Negative experience: Not a very good gym very small and equipment is old I want to change my contract to 1 month as I have not used the gym yet but they have not answered me it says on their website you pay a fee of $29 to get a contract shorter than a month

Negative experience: If I could I would leave absolutely zero stars I would and directly towards the indoor football department of this place. Chris and Jared in particular, have never made me and my fellow teammates feel so uncomfortable racially objectified. We have been attending for two years and as a group of Muslim Arabs, we felt that we have never been treated as equals of the opposing team. Many times over the years we have seen other teams of the same religion and culture been kicked out while others get special treatment. It’s absolutely disgusting and shameful that we still get people in high authority of these places acting like this. Many occasions have happened in where we were subject to unequal treatment, and many of the times we shut our mouths and accepted consequences in order to continue playing at the facility, until today in which they have successfully told our team captain that we weren’t welcome back. Certainly would like to take this further.

Fantastic experience: Amazing big facility with many courts tailored for various sports. This place is buzzing with good amount of crowd during the evening time. It's very easy to book the court online. This place also has a big parking space. They have staffs available near the reception to help people out. I saw volleyball court, tennis courts, indoor football and badminton courts available in this venue. There is no dedicated badminton court, it gets installed in the basketball court. If you book a court right after a basketball match, they would take about 5 to 10 minutes to install the badminton net.

Negative experience: First week like one of the earlier commenters. 24/7 access to the gym is advertised yet you can’t get into the gym with your fob half the time in the morning

Negative experience: Child’s play space is even smaller now as they have divided the back area for boxing or karate classes. Very, very dirty play area for little ones; broken toys that look like they haven’t been cleaned for years; all the soft plays including jumping castle are sticky, dirty & full of kids food crumbs and saliva. A very unhygienic place for kids especially young babies & special needs children.

Positive experience: Very old equipment no update and front staff don't even care

Negative experience: I feel extremely disappointed with service in this center. Swimming teacher change so frequently, Lot of children with one teacher. Didn't like at all

Negative experience: Its my first week and door is locked and cant access four time in a week. Join only if you are can go there from 9 to 5 office hour. In first week all you want is refund.

Positive experience: The bathrooms need a good clean and the pool is not always clean and clear. They do martial arts, indoor tennis. Beach volley ball, gymnastics, indoor basketball, indoor soccer and a few other things.24 hour gym. Big children's play area but most things are some what broken or run down.

Fantastic experience: Attended a children's birthday party. Great venue, lots of activities to keep the kids entertained.

Positive experience: Great place for the kids to burn off energy! Only 4 stars because there is so much more here to experience than just gymnastics which I haven't experienced yet.

Negative experience: I feel the swimming center is not professional. My child has been swimming for nearly 3 years and is still at the same level. The center changes teachers constantly, the study time is long but there is no supervision to know what my child needs to overcome to get better. I feel like the center wants to prolong the time to get money from the learners and not monitor it carefully. I am very disappointed. Everyone should find another center for their children to learn swimming if they want their children to know how to swim quickly

Negative experience: Do not enter by any means if you are a different colour or race other than Anglo Australian. My family has been targeted, threatened and discriminated against by staff. Please do not attend as they are not inclusive.

Negative experience: The Cafeteria inside has pathetic and terrible customer service. I ordered coffee and banana bread and they gave us cold and tasteless coffee. The quality of banana bread and presentation was very poor. Highly NOT Recommended

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience dealing with these guys, so friendly and helpful! (Cafe food is a tad bit overpriced $10 for 3 bottles of water is a bit harsh) but the facility was in a great, clean condition and staff were friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Gym door doesn't work, they know it doesn't work, when you raise the issue, Nick tested it 5 times, 2/5 didn't work... "No issue" call to get it sorted a few weeks later and speak to Nick and get no call back, ghost town, few weeks later they email to apologise for the door not working... (Clearly there was an issue) cancelled the membership, poor communication, poor services, not recommended at all

Positive experience: It's okay, some day busy some days too quiet. some days services are good at the counter some times not, some times coffee is great and some times not, I am regular there for my little one appointment. The location is great. There's gym other sports court there. And little kids play area.

Negative experience: Pool is nasty and dirty, cold water in winter, changerooms and showers disgusting and mouldy. Water dripping from the ceiling, the staff rude and will overcharge your lessons. Better off going to one of the leisure centres. Much cleaner and nicer place to go to.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place hidden away a little bit around the back of some factories.  The Y Leisure City features a multitude of programs, activities, and educational lessons for all ages.

Positive experience: Specifically reviewing the YMCA Childs Play area- for $8.50 it is a cheap and easy way to entertain the kids. Unfortunately everything is run down and grubby. The play mats/soft play need a good wipe down. The carpet needs cleaning. The toys have obvious grime and wear on them, some are broken. The cafe has tasty coffee and nice selection. It would be 5 stars if the facility had a good clean and refresh.

Negative experience: Management is out of touch, very inflexible and unempathetic towards families. Only looking at profit margins, and is absolutely shameful. After 8 years we took our kids out of the place.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible customer service. Rude unfriendly staff. Offer no flexibility if kids are going overseas for a few week. Swimming program is horrible with kids stuck in the same level for long periods because of the admittedly unstructured swimming program and instructors not having the required comptenecy to assess kids.

Positive experience: A nice place for kids activities. One stop shop for variety of activities. Some staff are not so friendly but majority of them are helpful. Parking is a nightmare during busy hours but all in all a great place to get kids busy.

Negative experience: Absolutely unacceptable how they're blasting music in loud speakers right next to Kids Play house in the Kids play area... I asked the staffer to turn the volume down and he would not! They had to have it that loud so the whole YMCA could hear the music playing. So I asked them why they're installing a music system next to the Kids play house where the volume is at full blast? I was asked to refer to the Manager - Nick who has the final say. I'll be calling the manager to query this!

Negative experience: Be careful because they will over charge you for things. Witnessed a baby almost getting run over with gym equipment by staff member. The people serving the food have no knowledge of what they are serving. Good place for children (when cleaned) but has the most unorganised and useless people working here unfortunately and some stuff are damaged and out dated for kids to play with Website not updated for over a year, pointless answers to enquiries and never pick up the phone. Instead of answering my questions about the childcare facility they just tell you to put your 3 year old in kinder somewhere else. Also they keep messing up the school holiday activity program date times which are at the end of January when school starts anyway. What is the point then? Frustrating dealing with them. Instead of fun is just a pain for parents and forget about the disability friendly activities because it is not appropriate for everyone and took my money anyway but disabled child was sent away because the person organising it and the person doing the class had zero communication with each other and could not believe how unorganised and untrained the people were.

Negative experience: Once I filled the form and sign up, even if they can’t provide the service I had to pay. Fees taken two weeks prior to the lessons, no teachers, lessons cancelled few hours before time. Very poor service.

Negative experience: My son took swimming classes here for over two years . Swimming instructors are good , but general customer service is very bad and they are rude . More over ,the pool is cold most of the time and even informing them ,they don't care about it . But they take 1 months fees for moving out . They keep in the same level for a long time .No feed back or coaching given and no make up classes offered if needed .

Negative experience: Terrible place for children with special needs. They take your money but don't even let you finish your lesson. Childs play is filthy and has broken cars and that's why is always empty. Food is undercooked and overpriced. Rude customer service who behave like little dictators. This organisation also send you inappropriate emails about woke propaganda that you have to call everyone they/them...etc.This place have nothing good to offer on school holidays and too lazy to answer questions via emails because they never pick up the phone when u are calling

Negative experience: If you are looking at putting your kids in YMCA for swimming: The swimming program needs work. The pool is small and they seem to have too many kids per class. My kids have 6 in their class and they only have one third of the single lane to use. Which means each child swims for maybe 10 meters, squashed against each other. They should have a maximum of 4 students per teacher / class. The online system they claim to have is never updated. There is no information on there about my childrens progress. The staff are friendly and they are trying - but it looks like management needs some feedback. We are taking our 3 kids out and enrolling them in a different swim school. There is also mention of pronouns (?) on their emails which I find totally unnecessary and irrelevant.

Negative experience: Swimming service is been quite bad recently. There is no proper exhaust fans in the pool area at least for the last 2 months.Water dripping all through the pool area and its quite dangerous for kids and parents to walk.Further no safety signs displayed.No hot water in the showers either.On notifying shift incharge this arvo (28/6/22)she is not even appeared concerned or apologetic. Swimming teachers are awesome,but we need to have a proper service for the money we paying

Negative experience: I took my grandson for first time. I think that the Reception staff lack customer service skills. We waited patiently however they didn't acknowledge that we were standing there. Overall the actual play area is good for very young children, probably up to age 2 or 3. Not a lot of variety of foods sold at cafe, so not sure why YMCA advertises not to bring your own snacks.

Fantastic experience: Great kids facility. Heaps of open space with a massive range of different play styles. Softplay, little tikes cars, jungle gym, bouncy castle, and imaginative kitchen play. I love how the open space makes it easy to keep an eye on your kids. Can't wait to check out the sports and gymnasium when my child is older

Fantastic experience: I couple of weeks ago I signed up my 7yr old for indoor soccer. So far I'm very happy with it. He loves it, the coaches are nice. The staff at the front are very helpful too.

Positive experience: Plenty of activities for kids of all ages, how ever the kids play centre waa closed on a Saturday??? Makes no sense and the staff had no valid reason and the staff were always quick to rudely remind you not to enter. Overall good venue.

Negative experience: I’ve booked their indoor courts 3 times and never have I ever had a proper booking. Ever. Either the people before us take too long and we don’t get an hour, or they close at 5:30 despite letting you book at 5pm and promising 1 hour, or some other wacky issue that screws everyone over Today I booked at 3pm and i hassled 10 people to come, and ymca called me later saying they made a mistake and that they can’t accomodate 3pm because of some random basketball event Never expect to get a booking at the time you want, and you basically have to free up your whole day in order to get a booking. 5pm booking last time they made me come 30 mins early, which counted in that 1 hour time slot I booked it for despite no one being prepared to come 30 mins early The girls talking on the calls are real disrespectful too, including kirsten Poor service
