Fantastic experience: My favourite pool, just feels warm and lux, gives me an excuse to drive into St Kilda and sit by the beach and have a nice bite to eat and so forth. Always ends up being an expensive day with parking and pool entrance and petrol and also food and coffee afterwards but this is a quiet day alone that puts me in good spirits and St Kilda Baths is at the centre of that for me. Has a wheelchair ramp into the pool for those who need it.

Negative experience: The hygiene of the showers is lacking, with little flies flying all over the place and even grime on the walls. Soap empty often. The lockers often get stuck, and you have to get a master key to open. You can always hear a member complain about something in the locker rooms or steam room, which is, by the way, often malfunctioning. A staff member dared telling me, and I quote: "Why do you always have to come when we are about to close" when there were still 35 minutes left on the clock and closed behind me with chains with a bad mood. I decided to ignore her attitude, as she might be having a day and said I was going to be quick. Then I even joked around trying to be funny when she and the other staff member passed on the gym floor to try to cheer them up. I worked out and when drying myself from showering, still within opening time as there were 7 minutes left on the clock, the other staff member turned off the lights while I was changing, to which I shouted "I am still here please turn on the lights as I am changing", 3 times, the first time she said OK, and didn't do anything and went back down. As nothing happened, I hurried up and went down in a rush, leaving my 55 AUD water bottle due to the stress and lights off situation, thinking they were going to lock me inside. When I get down they were patiently waiting against the wall. They knew all along I was changing still, they just wanted to pressure me in an immature and unprofessional manner. When confronted about it, they gaslighted me about the experience saying they didn't know I was still upstairs (inconsistency number one, as they were waiting for me when I went back down), the other one denied saying anything when I came into the gym, but then (inconsistency number 2), said she was saying it in a joking tone, which was definitely not the case. Then proceeded to act as victims and called me an aggressor over complaining to them and the reactive aggressive tone that came out of me after being gaslighted and denied the reality of what had happened. And I had been assertive in the past, but that was the limit that had me go into establishing boundaries to borderline behaviour from these staff members. They were resorting to narcissistic abusive tactics, blaming and shame shifting the experience towards me, victim blaming me. All to avoid accountability for their actions. I complained to the manager and even though he acknowledged the inconsistencies in their version of how things occurred, he didn't assume the responsibility for the lost water bottle that I had to purchase again due to these staff members that were having a temper tantrum and impacted my life with their unproffesional behaviour. The only one affected was me,as I had to assume the cost of the lost water bottle and they dare tell me that if I go back I need to behave respectfully towards the staff members, as if I was the one doing anything wrong here. These people believe that passive aggressive Narcissistic abuse is ok, but aggressive assertive behaviour to set boundaries against borderline individuals that are committing abuse is not ok. Like the one that shows the healthy emotional response is the problem. They need therapy. Passive aggressive behaviour and Narcissistic abuse is not stoicism, assertive behaviour is, and aggressive assertive without being abusive is used for borderline attempts to trespass boundaries. These people are UNBELEIVABLE. Save your money. They should behave more professionally and not just rely on their popularity based on being a popular touristic place. Truly appalled by the experience. I never expected to be treated so poorly. The emotional distress they put me through when they victim blamed me and called me an aggressor and said that they filmed me when I complained to them, to have as evidence of my aggression towards them, but didn't have camera footage of the day before and what they did to me, because it's only live footage only. Horrible people they should be ashamed.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Great steam-room (spacious) & an ocean dip for rejuvenating the soul.

Negative experience: Beyond unsanitary, the conditions of the sea baths changeroom is completely unacceptable. Mould, grime and clumps of human hair, showers not in working order, broken fixtures, peeling paint and plastic, dirty bloated chipboard, and the overwhelming smell of urine. Other facilities have cleaners come through during the quiet period of the day, not this place. It's a serious fungal infection waiting to happen, honestly the health department should step in.

Negative experience: The seabaths are a great place to destroy a pair of good shorts from all the chlorine they use in the pool.

Positive experience: Nice gym but the classes are always full. It’s very hard to get into a yoga class, pilates, etc

Fantastic experience: If you like volleyball, during the summer there is a thing called Republica Volleyball. You turn up, pay $30 and the organiser puts you into a team of 4. It’s a great way to meet new people. At the end of the night your money goes towards a slice of pizza and a drink. Good times.

Negative experience: This review is purely for the swimming pool. I have been coming here for years and I have noticed they are progressively becoming more and more dirty. The steam room stinks of chlorine, lots of stains and dirty! The change rooms have all stains up the walls and don’t have regular cleaning during the day. The facility is really old and needs to be looked at. It’s a fantastic location with great opportunity being able to access the beach but each time I come I’m more disgusted in the level of hygiene and cleanliness. I also had a person shaving their legs in the steam room! Please owners, read this review and do something about it it’s really sad to see the venue deteriorating over the years. Positive experience: Have to pay for parking even if your a member. Have to pay for a locker aswell. Pool is ok, run down a bit.

Fantastic experience: The best value for money public swimming pool experience in Melbourne. The water is salt, water not chlorine which is significantly better for you as it doesn't have harmful chemicals in it. I can't say the same same for Saint Kilda Beach which the complex has access to it is all round a great experience to go into the sauna and then run out into Port Phillip Bay and repeat the process. Several times building itself is beautiful. Art deco and was used in the chopper read film.

Positive experience: Lovely baths and beach access. Make sure you ask for your parking discount when you leave, as it is not mentioned anywhere. Also it needs to be validated in an obscure location in the underground carpark and is not the main parking machine. Positive experience: The seabaths are a great way to relax. Since the bathroom upgrade I've added an extra star to my review, the steam room is also good and you can go outside for a dip in the sea for an invigorating experince. The gym upstairs is excellent, offers classes and has the same amazing view. I've been a member here for over a decade.

Positive experience: Great gym facilities with multiple weight rooms, lots of machines and enough equipment for everyone. The pool, sauna and steam room are great, although it’s a short pool at only 25m.

Positive experience: The outside and some of the areas inside are quite alright. Decent selection of food and drinks around, and the pool isn't that bad. The gym is a little different, the access gate is always broken, the lockers are always malfunctioning, always smells like a mouldy foot and bad breath and for some reason everything is broken, including the roof that broke and poured water on two of us while trying to work out.

Negative experience: I love this pool. But Im so dismayed by the state of the bathrooms Im thinking of moving pools to MSAC. its unhygenic, unsanitary and a health risk. Mould and dust and rubbish everywhere. How so I know they are wiped down for covid safety? No one wants to touch these bathrooms and I dont think they wil ever care. I suspect they arent even cleaned at all. See photos and zoom in. I know Im not the only one disgusted by them consistently.

Fantastic experience: Good place to see. Can relax on the seashore. Lot of Cafes are there to cater our needs. You can enjoy with family and friends. This place gives a relaxation to mind and body.

Positive experience: I liked the pool, it was quiet at lunchtime. Folk could do with a mandatory shower before getting in the pool, especially for their feet! I left my cap and goggles which were stolen, not the places fault but it was a disappointment.

Fantastic experience: As far as location goes being on the sand at St Kilda beach watching the sun go down is a personal favourite. Table service is a bonus and is very quick.

Negative experience: Headed out from town for a swim, the website says the pool has towel hire, but they'd 'run out'. Young guy on the desk sent us off with instructions to go to a supermarket that wasn't anywhere close to where he was pointing, but it didn't sell towels anyway. Would've been so much more helpful for the website to say towel hire may be available, and if people need one, for the staff to say there isn't anywhere close that sells towels. [Response to the response: if people are googling st. Kilda sea baths, these are the reviews that they'll see and they need to know that the franchisee that you contract to run your pool doesn't always have towels for hire, and reception staff who were the opposite of helpful. So no, I'm not deleting the review, because it might help someone else not waste an afternoon.]

Fantastic experience: I just yesterday finished the adult beginner swimming squad with Mary Grehan on Wednesday mornings and can't say enough good about the 9 week course. I went into the squad just wanting to improve my swimming enough to be able to swim 500m in the 2xu Triathlon event in December, but after learning from Mary over the past few weeks I feel like I could take on so much more. Swimming won't just be something I do for tri events and will definitely stick with because of Mary. I've loved having squad at St. Kilda sea baths as the dip after with the squad is just the best followed by jacuzzi and chats. Already looking forward to the next 9 weeks with Mary!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility surrounded by the sea fancy restaurants and great team off people that are only to happy to serve the new souvlakia on the beach just outside the sea baths is great but after a spa swim and sauna you can dive straight into the ocean the evening lights from the city surrounding this beautiful sea many events r on shore you can make a great day off it with also the pears and the princess bridge near by your welcome to enjoy

Fantastic experience: I recently finished Swim Squad with Mary Grehan at St. Kilda Baths. The squad was for adult swimmers with a mix of abilities, yet all of us saw big improvements through the program. Mary was a passionate and encouraging instructor. I throughly enjoyed this program and look forward to kicking on again with the next one.

Fantastic experience: I've loved my beginner adult squad with Mary at the sea baths. Mary is incredible, and her passion for swimming is contagious. As a group we've loved the access to the sea as well as a hot dip in the heated baths after. Great for individual or group swimming.

Negative experience: It seems like you need to give at least one star. Terrible venue everything is ageing with just enough paint to cover the rust. Good luck using their toilets and there's no parking. Much better to Stokehouse up the road for food/venue. Good luck with all the bandaids, hair, nails, etc. that you'll find. Hopefully not too much glass on floor/sand too. Be careful with kids.

Negative experience: Mistakenly topped up my pool pass for an additional 60 swims when I had 57 swims on there. Requested them to refund $480. 50 days later, still no refund. Reported to ACCC. Edit: This has now been resolved and I have been refunded.

Negative experience: Contract terms aren't very fair, they charge for additional two weeks post cancellation. Reply to your comment: I only have a Sea Baths membership no gym. I cancelled my Sea baths membership on the 10th of June. You replied on the 14th June with: ''I have gone ahead and actioned your cancellation request and as per your contract your final billing date is 6 July 2023 with club access until 19 July 2023'' Paying until 19th July when I've asked to cancel on 10th of June is crazy. I think the additional payment on 6th July due to 'contract terms' is very unfair hence the 1 star review, please contact me directly if you can assist with a refund for 6th July payment if you have no contract terms?

Fantastic experience: Right on the waters edge, this is has to be one of the most popular tourist places to meet up and have some fun in Melbourne. Dinner, drinks, coffee, ice cream, sit inside or out and watch the sunset or just people watch those swimming, sun bathing, strutting their stuff while jogging, walking or walking the dog, riding their bikes, roller blading, kite or paddle boarding, or playing beach volleyball. This place has it all. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Hours are wrong on the website. I learned of this the hard way when I made my way for a swim at 7pm to find out they close at 7pm. Notified person closing up. Otherwise it’s a great place.. if you’re using the spa and sauna you can dip out to the ocean and cool off and shiver back in to repeat.

Positive experience: Upon entry to the pool today, the two reception staff loudly announced in conversation to each other that “if we don’t get out of here by 9pm I’m going to fight someone in the car park”. While the location is stunning and I generally enjoy attending, the professionalism today was lacking and while I’m writing this review, might as well mention the bathrooms are outdated and can be unpleasant. EDIT: Appreciate the reply. While I gathered that the comment was meant in a light hearted manner, no matter what time of day or time of year, customers should feel welcome and safe. Personally I didn’t feel welcome in the last hour of business.

Positive experience: Excellent facility. Can either go as joined member or as casual visitors. Has lap swimming heated indoor pool. I think best thing here is the salt water hydro pool. Excellent for healing and rejuvenation. Upstairs is a modern newly equipped gym that also has altitude room for altimeter performance workouts. View of St.Kilda beach as you swim and workout is great. Staff are great too!
