Negative experience: Saturday morning staff, especially the older lady has a terrible attitude. Made payment and wanted to go through the barrier, she refused to open the barrier and told us that we have not paid! I was shocked that she was the one that processed our payment literally 2 seconds and was asking for payment again. When I reminded her I have already paid she mumbled and open the barrier. This staff definitely needs to change her attitude and requires more training. Been here so many times but have never been treated this way. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Excellent quality amenities and staff are professional

Negative experience: Some of the reception staff are power trippers enforcing ridiculous rules like making us provide doctors certificates when a child needs to miss a swimming lesson. I have 2 children enrolled in the same swimming lesson. One of my children was sick therefore missed a lesson. I provided a doctor certificate for the lesson missed but it didn't include the following week's date. My child had became ill with croup the night before the following lesson. I explained to receptionist what had occurred but she wouldn't include the date for the following lesson. I explained that if my child were OK for swimming, he would be with me and my daughter now. The rude receptionist refused to include the relevant date saying that I need to go back to the doctor for another certificate. She very much enjoyed reminding me that these are the terms and conditions I agreed to when I signed my children up. The thing is, I DID provide a certificate but she enjoyed telling me I needed yet another certificate. So I am forced to take my child out again to see the same doctor to obtain another certificate. I have been bringing my 2 children to the centre for close to 2 years and this is how I get treated. Another point I'd like to make is that the swim teachers that we have experienced are lovely however there are 6 children packed into classes which isn't a conducive environment for learning to swim. Each child in the class spends a significant amount of time waiting for their turn sitting on the edge of the pool. I have found that any time my children have had any breakthroughs in their swimming, it has been when I have taken them swimming myself. Don't waste your money on swim lessons at this centre. It is an obvious fail proof business model maximising profits without the true intention of providing a service that children benefit much from.

Negative experience: Me and my husband went here to swim and have some fun. But the place where we were swimming was like a personal area of a old Karen. She complained it and we were told to move to public area side . We moved but those staff were watching us like we did some crime. It was uncomfortable and they were walking around us.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. It's warm, the pools are nice and the parking is convenient. It's basic but absolutely fine for everyday exercise and keeping fit.

Positive experience: Got so many memories here good swimming lessons for 2-8 year olds 9+ year olds swimming lessons are bad and you dont learn or get better i had to move to a new place when i was 11 as i didnt like it but overall average ig...

Negative experience: Alot of the leisure centres here in Melbourne have rude staff it's disgusting,send them to Brisbane for some attitude adjustment,because it's not acceptable,train your staff or hire ones who have the skills to work in a customer service roll,

Positive experience: The RLC has been a sanctuary for me over the years. When the colder months come on, I can be found using the pool area often as it’s kept warm & a great place to unwind. It would be nice during the warmer months if the outside pool area was available more, but it’s a great space for kids & adults alike. From the lap pools to the shallow pools to the hydrotherapy to the Jacuzzi to the steam room & sauna, there are so many options to enjoy. The staff & lifeguards have always been polite & helpful to me because I treat them with respect & I’m friendly with them. There have been times when parents are videoing their children & I’m clearly in the shot in the background & they seem so annoyed when lifeguards remind them not to be filming. It’s a public area for people to enjoy their leisure time & get exercise. We don’t need to be wondering if we’re making a cameo appearance in your child’s swimming videos. Get over your feelings & consider other people’s privacy. Anytime that I’ve had any sort of issue with another attendee, the staff have been professional & reasonable in resolving the matter. The newly renovated gym is good & well kept, but I wish they had a bigger area to do different types of exercises aside from pumping iron & using the machines. A punching bag station would be killer! The showers & steam room/sauna can be dirty during high traffic hours — & thereafter — but that’s to be expected on a busy day when there’s hoards of people coming & going. I have pleasant relationships with many of the other patrons, but as always, there’s gonna be a few that can ruffle some people’s feathers & the staff seem to care about disruptive behavior. In any case, I’m there to train & relax, so if anyone becomes troublesome, I just move to a different area for a while. Some tolerance goes a long way. A few things I would love to see implemented in the future are extended hours, especially in the evenings on the weekends (closing the pools at 5:30 p.m. seems too early) & lower rates for nonmember single day use. Whenever I bring a friend they have to pay over $20 to use the facilities which is nearly the cost of a whole week for a member. Overall, this place has been a haven for me in recent years & while you need to take precautions to remain safe & cleanly here, that’s normal for a public fitness center.

Negative experience: Just don't leave anything wet behind in the change rooms. They will be taken by the cleaners. My daughter accidentally left a towel and bathers in the family room. No lost and found for wet items. Lucky cleaners I say.

Negative experience: Reception staff is rude. Swimming class is not as good as what it used to be. Shower facility is even worse. No hot water.

Negative experience: Do not come here! Swimming lessons every night, barely anywhere to swim! And they don’t allow kids into warm pool even though the normal ones are freezing! Go elsewhere!!! Staff not friendly nor is management.

Negative experience: I called to see if outdoor pool was open today. They rudely replied yes. So when I went this afternoon the big pool outside was closed and only baby pool was open. I'm to tall and big to fit in that pool. I went thinking I would enjoy myself on a hot day.

Positive experience: The facilities are great, it I’m noticing more and more that I feel there is a lot of quiet racism going on. The PT staff are flawless, but some of the white admin and pool staff ask questions and treat non-white clients VERY differently.

Negative experience: Poor service attitude, poor water quality and even worse management.

Negative experience: Where thongs or sandles in the change rooms and showers!!! and around the pools. Change rooms are really dirty, black mold above the mens showers. I got a severe Tinea infection walking around in bare feet. Pool is really dirty as well, always see floating objects on the bottom and top of the water while swimming. The place makes you feel like you've gone back in time to 1992! Avoid this place, never going back.

Negative experience: My daughter is a special child . On 21/03/23 around 2.15 . She came with concord school but after her session finished I was there to pick her up . After session finished i went with her in ladies changing room , helped her in dressup , suddenly my daughter gone outside of the changing room I quickly went out to see her but I was unable to find her .I checked nearby everywhere then I straight went to reception staff .I told the staff I am unable to find my daughter .Can you help me .One staff said i have no idea then start doing her own stuffs then i asked another staff standing near by . I am not able to find my daughter and explained her whole situation . I was shocked to hear her reply instead of helping me, she said I am not the authorised person better to go and find the school teacher then I went back and keep searching my daughter .Then I found her in male changing room .One of the guy told me the little girl is inside the room . Then I went back again to the reception and told them I am really disappointed with their answers instead of helping you guys were telling me to go and find teacher then the reception staff said I am only responsible for reception area . Seriously, if something happened with my daughter who would be responsible. Shame on you .

Negative experience: Some reception staff have 0 manners dating back to many many years. This is Very disappointing, upsetting and sadly reflects quite awfully on other extremely decent staff members and Darebin Council in its totality.

Negative experience: If you want skin disease use their hydrotherapy pool which water is dirty and contaminated. You can see the dirt on pool bottom and the same floaties in the water each and every day. Floaties....thats right. They staff lie if they tell you they clean it. It's the most dirtiest hydrotherapy pool that exists. They don't care about their members who use the hydro pool each day nor care about what their contaminated water will do to the people. They should consider all the people that use this pool and give it a good clean EVERY DAY. Northcote pool will soon open. Reservoir pool will loose their clientele because their hydro pool is filthy and their toilets and disabled toilets and all the showers are FILTHY. QUITE A FEW OF US GO TO POOL BUT WONT EVER GO AGAIN. Please pass this on to everyone you know who uses their hydrotherapy pool. Get out of that water before you get sick. Our skin is severely damaged from the water in the hydro pool because it's not clean. We are not happy and suffering. We will take our complaints further if the staff do not do something about rectifying this issue.

Negative experience: While Reservoir swim school teachers are lovely, I consider pool management is over zealous in policing mobile phone texting by adults watching their kids in class to the extent it discourages attendance. No one is going to be more concerned about the safety of the children than the parents watching them and with more than 10 adults as well as teachers and a life saver watching it should, with a bit of common sense, be possible to safely multi-task. How dangerous are the swimming lessons? Why are lifesavers prioritising ordering observers about rather than watching the kids in the pool? I’m quite happy to have a reasonable, evidence-based, discussion about the pro and cons, I can see both sides, but I notice that Reservoir Leisure Centre’s Google ratings are low and pool management does not respond to Google reviews even though there seem to be multiple legitimate concerns being raised. I think it would be good to see a bit more accountability.

Negative experience: the gym is alright but the pools itself is grot, The amount of times i would see bandages and pieces of food in the water its absolutely appalling and dont even get me started with the life guards and the amount of rules in that place.

Negative experience: Took my son here and lost him, spoke with the manager and he didn't do anything about it, the life guards are a bunch of 16 year old kids who can't even swin properly. Very poor and rude staff. I'm disappointed.

Negative experience: I don't know how to explain the weird feeling of been unattended for the female recepcionist, adding an uncomfortable sensation, I would like to explain like a creep an unwanted person. I wanted to do gym with all my good will to do exercise but I finish sitting in a chair outside searching for more places to go. In general the place is old and filthy.

Negative experience: Let me start off by saying that giving this place a one star is generous, Last time I went there i was harrased in the change rooms, in the pools you'll see an amazing veiw of bloody bandages, nappies and stroppy life guards. at this rate the parents should get paid there, they do more watching and life gaurding then the slacking life guards.

Negative experience: The female receptionist/swimming coach needs to learn some manners. very rude.Doesn't know how to talk to customers. Editing to write what really happened: We went there a day before dealing with her. We were told that they assess us before we join the adult swimming lesson to see which level we are in. So we went there the other day all prepared to be assessed and told her what we were there for. She told that they didn't do that, and we said the guy who was there told us that you do. Then she said to us so rudely, 'He's not the instructor, I am. And I say we don't do that.' Instead she could've told us that the other guy didn't know and maybe apologised for that. But she was so so rude.I've heard from other parents in school about same thing. Now we all go to TRAC. That was one time. The next time we went, the indoor swimming pools were closed and we knew that just after we made the payment for two adults. The outdoor were either 1.2m or children's pool. Waste of money and time.Save your time and rather go to TRAC or Northcote Swimming pool.

Positive experience: I used to come to the leisure centre over 20 years ago, very old and so bad but great atmosphere. Now the facilities are so much better. I have never had issue with customer service and re comments about policing parents on phones here's the thing. Have had mobility problems for a while and children can cause an issue if unsupervised. I get it that watching kids is full on but there are not enough life guards for all patrons so you can take a chance and look at your phone or keep watch and ensure your child remains safe. If you have an issue with that you don't have to come. Its a safety thing.

Negative experience: Customer service non-existent. Rudeness and attitude from staff seems to the norm here. Life guards seem more interested in policing parents glancing at their phones and catching people out using the spa without a wrist band than watching the pool as they’re paid to do.

Negative experience: First off, the pool facilities are quite nice. Found no issues there. My gripe is with the staff. I called them to enquire casual pool fees. Told me the fee. Went down to the pool. Charged me the same fee. Staff member even asked me if this is the first time I have been to the centre, to which I categorically answered Yes. Later, I came to know there is a concession rate. I have a concession card. At no time, either during my enquiry on the phone or at the centre did they tell me there is a concession rate, even though I categorically asked what is the fee? Do they assume everyone drives to the pool in a Mercedes??

Negative experience: Place is weird. Lifeguards are apparently the fate deciders and the pool is dirty all the time. Too many rules and I got a ban cause my mate tried to get his $2 coin out the pool so I get in trouble. Gym is the only reasonable place. But the lockers are filthy so what do you expect.

Fantastic experience: It's nice, my mum lives down the road behind northland and I'm new in the area just off Chedder Road, it's an interest place with very nice swimming pools, cafe and offcourse a gym to which I'll be going to reguarly soon. <3

Fantastic experience: I was in reservoir from 13 years and I been going to this place from 4-5 years. I love this place. Spa and hydropool are very hot compared to other pools in town. You recover very quickly there. Maybe other places are bigger than this but not that useful though.i just moved to wollert and still go there some times in stead of going to thomastown. 4-5 times I realised that I forgot my wallet home and I requested to pay them next time as I have no phone pay.but staff was so nice and they let me and my son in without paying bcz they remember their permanent customers and members. Thanks to RLC TEAM,hopefully see you sometimes.

Positive experience: Good for kids but bad for adults

Negative experience: Ladies changing rooms are filthy and run down. The showers are clearly not cleaned often. (if ever) just joined the centre will be asking for refund.

Negative experience: I've witnessed multiple breaches of Covid rules despite repeatedly taking the issue up with floor staff, the centre manager and the council manager. There's been a culture of complacency there about infection prevention and other safety matters. Patrons and staff have been needlessly exposed to risk. I have ended my 20 years of membership and will find a place whose management inspires confidence.

Fantastic experience: Love rezza leisure. Come for a workout, stay for the community vibes. The facilities are wonderful: great gym, pool, hydro pool, sauna and spa. The staff are friendly and super helpful, nothing is too much. Love coming down here and for $20 a week, I get full enjoyment of the gym, classes and all the pool facilities.

They keep open just 2 lines for everybody else ! Horrible service for just usual people who like swim !

Fantastic experience: All water and land based activities for fun, health and rehab are available. (heated hydro pool is especially beneficial for me). The centre is suitable for all ages and abilities and has Professional trainers available. All staff are friendly and helpful. You can keep up to date via Facebook and if there are any cancellations or area closures, members are informed by sms. Highly recommend the centre.

Fantastic experience: This place is hidden from town, it is superb temperature controlled indoor swimming pool with unbelievably low prices. Gym has new equipment very some very helpful staff.

Negative experience: Hi i was summing in this summing pool then i got pufed out becuase i had asthma .Then i took a one hour break then after that staff told me to get out of the pool, but then i had too to talk to the manger and i wasted one hour of my time .At summing and i also wasted $30 for me and my family so i say just don't go too this summing pool and go to greensbroug swimming pool ,becuase it is way better then the bad resvoir pool. Thanks and don't come to this summing pool

Negative experience: As locals we bring the kids here frequently to swim. It seems they have implemented a new charge for non swimmers as both my wife and I were charged a 'Spectators Fee' to watch our kids swim even though there is an "Adult Supervision required in and out of the pool at all times" sign on the walls. BLATANT GREEDY CASH GRAB. Will be taking our kids elsewhere in future. Zero Star rating

Negative experience: I have been a regular member since 2011 for Gym & Aquatic Center and used the facilities for many years until I realized that I didn't really need Aquatic area access as I'm happy with the Gym only and spoke with someone at the reception which they agreed to and confirmed that they have fixed it. I wanted to avoid some unnecessary spending and resume with my schedule for many months until one fine day, I couldn't access the Gym area anymore so I inquired about this at the reception to which I was told (to my shock) that I am Aquatic center member only and can't use their Gym facilities. Either I can opt for Gym + Aquatic or Aquatic only. I asked them How I was able to access the Gym all this while and they had no answer but to say I should not have been. 8 years of continuous membership and I was not allowed to work out and had to return home though I had paid for the next fortnight (Aquatic only as per them). I'm deeply disappointed to the core that such is the behavior & professionalism of somebody who is at the reception. I hope nobody goes through the experience that i had to.

Positive experience: Good environment and fitness facilities but, staff needs to learn some manners. It is not bogans club they should leave racist attitude at home. Respect is something which one give and earn.

Positive experience: Good pool. However, the floors inside the pool where kids play is little dirty (mud stains along the sides). And the toilet and family shower room is a huge mess. . .How it be more cleaned soon. .My first visit with my family was great and kids loved it... I enjoyed it too. ..So 4 stars otherwise.. I would rate 5 stars... Great place for leisure

Fantastic experience: We had a friendly welcome to the centre on our first visit. Ladies at the desk were friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Lifeguards are vigilant and swim instructor Michael made my child's lesson enjoyable. Glad we changed centres.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my daughter to the swimming classes since she was 6 months old and now at 2 years old, she can keep herself afloat and moves around the swimming pool without being frightened. It’s thanks to the wonderful couches and my consistency to take her there.

Negative experience: Disgusting, bought my child here for a swim and also to decide where to take her for swimming lessons. Staff at the front seems friendly, but it’s all the front, all went down hill shortly after paying. Change rooms are filthy and not kept. Pool was over crowded with obnoxious children who were not being watched by their parents, not following the rules. The rules weren’t being enforced by staff members either. After swimming for a mere 5 minutes by daughters eyes went puffy and red, not too long afterwards my eyes too went puffy and red, there were FAR too many chemicals in that water, I had to rush my child home and have her eyes washed out by our doctor! We then rang management who couldn’t so much as utter an apology or take responsibility stating that they would merely “make a note” of it in case another child has it happen to them. Also had the Hyde to claim my daughter is sensitive to chlorine (far from the truth, never had an issue elsewhere) Poor management, poor hygiene and lack of care for patrons AVOID at ALL costs

Negative experience: The pool's water quality is simply appalling. After living here for two decades I now have given up on swimming for good. Its always crowded, it seems like the place caters for all northern suburbs as there are not many pools around!

Negative experience: Been going for awhile however today was very disappointed in the service. A man on night duty may thought he was being respectful however told my brother off for just doing a little dip into the pool. 5mintues later 3 other little boys were jumping more extreme then what my brother did and he did not speak to them or tell them to stop. I was not informed that you have to sign a form to take photos of my own family swimming. Being told to go to reception and sign a form it only takes 30 seconds. I said its fine I wont take any. He said I had to delete the images taken. I asked if he was serious he replied "Im dead serious". Now walking to reception I go sign the form being told I needed ID. Had to walk back inside and get my purse and walk BACK to reception to sign the form. Its 6pm with no on around. I understand policy but jeez it's a Friday night be a little laid back. Also having my aunty been told my cousin has to wait till she steps in the water then my cousin can go in because she is under 5 and cant be at 4m away from her even if my aunty was supervising. Just real annoyed. Horrible end to my Friday night.
