Negative experience: i cancelled my gym membership, was told it was cancelled at the start of last month. $80 was taken out, rang up and said she’ll see what she can do considering cancelling on the phone was not allowed. two weeks go by and then $115 was taken out of my account, I kept ringing up and they said that I had to speak to someone specific and that she would be available on this day. rang up and then continued to be told there’s nothing she can do about it and basically said it was my fault. i did EVERYTHING i could to cancel this and somehow it was my fault? i submitted a form and said she needed proof of show, my mum showed them and she still made excuses up to not give me my money back. $40 at most is what they could give me back, ridiculous business.
Fantastic experience: . The staff were so understanding and management were so helpful when it comes to catering for kids with special needs . The life guards were so helpful trying to cater to a child with behaviours working and helping us feel welcome and comfortable . Thankyou

Negative experience: Don’t consider it for Adult beginner’s swimming class. Staff here is least bothered to help/teach you - they just there like a dumb dummy !!! It’s not free - so rather spend your $$$ at the right place ! They are Unprofessional and Unbothered !!!

Negative experience: pretty angry i had to get my father out of the car to go onto the basketball court because he was 14 and their stupid policy states “children who are under the age of 16 need an supervisor over the age of 18 to get inside” which made my father late for work so as we got inside he left, we have never been asked this before the manager was rude its a complete mess now. wont be going again until manager is changed and new policy’s are put down

Fantastic experience: I use the gym and pool. Nice clean facility and the staff are polite and helpful. Scanning in with a fitness plus card is quick and easy.

Negative experience: Good facilities and love the school holidays activities, understand its not up to the centre to manage the website but it is so complicated to navigate and book an activity, maybe it's just us but found it not very user friendly.

Negative experience: Very poor customer care and their only concern is making money. My son used to go there for volleyball & we cancelled his membership in August 2023. Unfortunately we sent cancellation email to wrong email address that's our error. Sad part is they kept on taking money out of our account for almost 7 months & no one bothered to check/report why my son is not coming to lessons. They will happily take your money but will not care if kids are getting any training or not.
Positive experience: Swimming teacher is nice and attentive. Separate pools. No visibility on how and when the kids assessed. At least they should have talk to the parents about how did their kids go. Limited parking. Long queues on reception.

Fantastic experience: Today I rejoined at the centre with my friend to use the pool facilities. The 2 beautiful ladies & a lovely dark haired Gentleman made us feel so welcomed & helped my friend do her joining paperwork. So refreshing to see beautiful happy faces greet you with a smile even though one was unfortunately limping herself. The pool was perfect temperature not too hot just the way we like it!! Thankyou

Negative experience: I'd love to give this place higher than 2 stars, but unfortunately it's not worth any more in the current state. The only reason we visit here as often as we do is because of the water slide and cheap entry. But that's where the pros end. 1. The cafe closes way too early. Not sure of the exact closure time, but I think it's around 2 or 3pm on weekends. Considering choosing 6 time is 7pm, you'd think they'd stay open until 5pm. Further, service in the cafe could be improved by hiring another person to help at the counters. 2. There's never enough water bottles available for paying customers. Management really needs to consider ordering double in summertime. They always conveniently claim they never have any in the back either. 3. Lifeguards are pretty scarce considering the number of people who visit on holidays and weekends. I've seen almost the same amount on these days as I have during weekdays, which makes no sense. 4. Toilets, showers and change rooms are always dirty. Shopping centres can manage hourly cleaning schedules, you'd think a leisure centre would be able to as well. I feel once these suggestions are actioned, this centre's ratings will be raised by myself and other visitors.

Negative experience: Shower area is very dirty. Hygiene is awful. There are many missing tile and anywhere u look there is mould. It’s one of the dirty swimming pool ever
Negative experience: This is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I signed my daughter up for a term in the learn to play basketball program which was awful so we decided not to participate in it anymore, but the worst part is that once the term had finished they continued to directly debt money from my account unknowingly to me for over a year after we informed them that we were not going back. When I contacted the centre to ask for a refund of the funds that they essentially stole from my account, they refused and told me that it was my problem, even after I told them that my family was suffering financially. This was extremely disappointing as I thought the centre was community friendly. Please be very careful of what you sign up for in this place because they have ways of trapping you into paying them for services that you don’t use.

Negative experience: Won't recommend this place, I never end up using my kids make up class. It's not fair when we can't use the make up class and paying for it. Very limited for make up class. The instructor was grumpy and wasn't happy.

Negative experience: First of all nice pools my daughters loved it , but what i felt very uncomfortable is that i was not allowed to take photo of MY OWN baby , mind u absolutely noone was around her or behind her . It was first time her being on pools . Made me feel like i was some type of criminal , also lots of life Guard was walking around and looking st people’s phone to make sure noone taking photos yet when my daughter vomited noone was around to help out took them ages to come to me , and after 10min finally someone showed up . They should be more worried about kids n that someone aint drowning, but they more worried who is on the phone .

Positive experience: I originally gave them 1 star, due to frustration at difficulty finding lesson times that suit with a 1yo and a 3yo, fitting them around creche times, but that was a year ago and things have improved now. When you can eventually get lessons at times that suit, the lessons are great with very friendly and skilled teachers and the creche carers are all lovely people. The admin staff are always helpful, and it is a nice venue. Both my children have improved their swimming skills a lot in the past year, their teachers have been amazing and created a lovely rapport with them. (Miss Kylie with periwinkle lessons, and especially Miss Brooke for tadpole lessons). Their website for booking lessons is still outdated and hard to use.
Negative experience: I obtained a complimentary 5-day fitness pass, and the staff informed me that I could book group fitness classes up to 3 days in advance. Yesterday when I called to make a reservation, Anthony answered the phone and stated that I am not permitted to book in advance. He mentioned that I can only walk in on the day of the class if spots are available. According to him, the previous staff member provided me with incorrect information. I feel upset and dissatisfied with their handling of the situation. Internal staff issues should not impact customer satisfaction, and I believe they should have resolved this matter more effectively.
Good evening, firstly I would like to apologise for this experience. I have personally spoken to the staff involved and educated them on the process of a fice day pass. As one of the managers I can inform you that 5 day pass holders are able to book in for classes online or on the phone. Fantastic experience: Staff here are always so helpful, accomodating and friendly. Jodey helped me today by sorting my sons swimming lessons and was so lovely. The whole team is great and smiling. Grateful to have this space in our community.

Positive experience: Pool is good, but the amount of times we have come for a swim only to be told the kids swimming area is closed is so frustrating. I don't think we'll bother coming back again. I also think they should take away the slide because it is never open!
Negative experience: The YMCA membership promotions are scams. I signed up for a promotion and received paperwork that had no time period written in the terms and conditions (empty box) then when I tried to cancel after I realised I didn't have time they said I was locked in for 16 weeks. The worker behind the desk obviously forgot to write it when she gave it to me and wrote it after and never told me. I've tried multiple attempts to resolve this and they keep blaming me by saying they train and enforce workers to write the allocated time period before handing over the paperwork Now I'm stuck in a 16 week fixed contract and have no choice but to pay $300 for their mistake.

Negative experience: Can management please get some heating in the reception area ASAP I went to the gym last Saturday and as soon as I walked in there it was like a frezzer staff were in big thick coats and looked frezzing ! I had goosebumps on my arms from being in there . Why are you not Valuing your staff? Pretty disgraceful!!!
Negative experience: Pathetic service to say the least. 1. I enrolled my kid for Swimming. The front desk told that 1st week and 2nd week needs to be paid by me and the remaining 6 weeks (from the total of 8 weeks) will get paid by the NSW voucher. Later on, I am told that there is a minimum period of 12 weeks. I sent an email to the manager 2 weeks ago and have followed up multiple times and still no reply nor acknowledgement. 2. I was forced by the front desk to enroll my kid to the salmon class though I told them many times that she is way better than that. In the first class she attended, the trainer told that my kid needs to be in the next level which is Tuna. So, the 1st class just got wasted. I requested for a new class with Tuna and I was told that i can choose the same via the parent portal login. 3. On trying to login to the parent portal (after reaching back home), could not find any option and on calling them, i am told that there is one week waiting period (though i told that i can pay for the class which got wasted in the lower grade). The person on the call was rude and cut the phone abruptly without listening to my request which has prompted me to write this review.
Negative experience: The netball competition was a half decent comp until the umpires continued to be absolutely hopeless. The grand final tonight was disgusting and umpires were biased, absolutely shocking and had no idea whatsoever. They ruined a good competitive game and were one sided the whole time. Definitely made a HUGE impact on the game and gave us no chance to win at all.
Positive experience: The pools and gym are a great local solution that it cheap but the main deal-breaker is staff. Not all staff are rude, infact one of them (forgot his name) was very kind and easy going, however two of the gym staff have alot of attitude and are downright rude for no apparent reason
Negative experience: Some rude worker didn’t let us in. Last time we came to here, I came with my friend she’s 14. Today I came with her again, and they said she isn’t older enough to go into the pools. Like come on, how rude can a worker get. She had no manners, she was highly disrespectful. I hope I get her band from working their, she’s made me mad.
Negative experience: Non-availability of the facility: I cannot remember a day when one or more of the facilities in the pool or pull area was not working. For instance today the steam room was fully shut down, the jets on the spa wasn’t working, they have half of the pool closed for some time, so all the children are crowding on one side of the pool, making it difficult to use. Pool cleanliness: Moses everywhere event you don’t have to look around for long to find a cockroach. Suspicious activity: Today I have complained to the Centre‘s assistant manager, and immediately he fixed the jacks on the spa, but the temperature temperature was all fully cold. This happened several times before apparently whenever I complain, the assistant manager come and fix the jacks straightaway this is suspicious. The staff are and friendly if you approach them to tell something, they will look away with very few exception. If there is any other option, I want suggest this facility to anyone.
Positive experience: This was without a doubt the worst experience at a public pool in my life. Before entering the pool i decided to take a a relaxing time in the sauna however the moment i entered there was a bald man in his late 60's lying on the ground groaning and struggling to breathe, If that isn't a cry for attention then i dont know what is! after about 5 minutes in the sauna he stopped and fell asleep i think. anyways then i went to go in the spa to cool off but it was boiling water, the skin around my ankles splurted blood and yellow milky liquid from the boiling temperatures, the staff members just laughed at me even though i was in severe pain and needed a hospital. after some time to heal my wounds i went to take a dip in the lap pool. it was fine at first until some weird looking man with 6 tentacles started chasing me and grabbing me trying to EAT ME!! the lifeguard throw a brick at it which scared him off but still he injured me badly with his poisonous fangs with engouh venom to kill the most poisionous snake in the world. i was rushed to hospital and almost died with a 7 year battle of ankular cancer in the knee. the food was great and the lady there was really nice 4/5
Positive experience: Great leisure centre. It's busy most days, especially during the morning and evening. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The electronic gym equipment could do with an upgrade and at times the pool change facilities are pretty grubby due to high traffic and busy times. It has a spa, sauna and steam room. They are always busy but there is plenty of room for all.
Negative experience: Why are our teenagers Children not welcome at the leisure centre My 17-year-old daughter cannot take her 15 year old Sister to the pool? The rule state you must be over 18. Why can my Daughter work drive pay Taxes, but it’s not old enough to go to the local pool with her 15 year old sister. The Y does not own our leisure centre, we the people of Camden own it And the council better take note
Positive experience: Good place for swim during week. Good gym and staff friendly, helpful. As we are in massive growth area another leisure centre is needed. Some mothers need to pick up soiled nappies and not leave in showers unhygienic.
Negative experience: This place never seems to bother answering phone calls or return calls after leaving messages during the day, so me and my wife had to come in and pay them a visit. Previously we wanted to cancel our membership because the center is going to be closed for maintenace during the winter. We were told by one of the staff members that we could go and use the one in Camden and that it had the same facilities however Camden's pool is outdoor only. Feeling misled and let down we came back again to cancel our membership and as my wife tried to explain to Evelyn that she is heavily pregnant and that she does not want to use the outdoor pool during the winter, we were treated with the most sarcastic, petty, rude and disrespectful comments made by Carly and Alexis. My wife was enraged by the comments which should never be aimed at anyone let alone a heavily pregnant woman who has a lot to deal with. Management if you're a reading this, i urge you to re train your staff in how to provide real customer service if you want to keep your customers happy and on the books. Not sure if we would ever consider coming back here in the future. Credit to Evelyn she kept calm and composed under pressure and handled it the way it should have been handled.
Fantastic experience: I love coming here. All three pools are clean. The spa is large and spacious and warm . Staff are wonderful and friendly and won't hesitate to talk to you or help you out. People who come here are friendly to so no trouble makers just nice people in general.

Positive experience: Pretty nice place, this is the pool where I started my swimming career (Currently at Gordon Fetterplace). I love Mount Annan Pools because of the coaches they had for squads
Negative experience: I have been attacked 4 times whilst working out at Mt Annan YMCA. The staff are lax in relation to the behaviour of patrons at the gym. I was attacked once by a female in her 40s for talking to her partner in the gym. I'm 65. Twice by the same female for daring to use equipment that the couple believed they had and could reserve 6 pieces of eqipment as their own private gym. The final straw was an attack by a young man that went crazy because I dare turn on a fan in a room he wasn't even working out in. I found the patrons not the type of people I wish tobassociate. with. The females
Positive experience: The Mount Annan Leisure Centre is probably the best in this area. With gym, pool and classes it offers everything under one roof. The staff are polite and helpful and friendly. Why go anywhere else??
Negative experience: My daughter attended swimming lessons here. She nearly drowned twice. My daughter is 3 yrs old and the first swimming instructors had a group session, where 3 kids have to stand on a crate and if they jump off the crate they would drown.... yeah i had to jump in the water and rescue my daughter when my daughter stepped off n the swimming instructor wasnt looking. We decided to go one on one instead with a different instructor and the instructor wasnt keeping my daughters head above water at all. I had to stop the lesson. She swallowed so much water my daughter was gagging. The instructors didnt care. I spoke to the manager and again didnt care at all. She informed me my daughter would need to be put on a waiting list.... this was more than 6 months ago. We called them again , ignored my phone calls and messages. We went into the center in person and witness 3 families signing up for swimming lessons and informed them they start next week. Spoke to the manager in person and she said i will look at the list and call me back . HA HA yeah no phone call.

Negative experience: Very rude front desk staff with no manner and customer service experience. Today, I was waiting for 15 minutes to pay for a goggles and the excuse was busy hours which wasn’t acceptable. The lady refuse to serve me at first and I’ve been told that the line is from the other side but served few other people from another line after me and when I complained she said is very busy and talked to me with a loud tone and the other lady said it’s enough. I recommend you to hire more experienced staff who won’t put their work pressure on the customers and who knows how to deal with the customers.
Negative experience: Swim lessons are structured in a revolving door style; one group out, next group in immediately. No proper introductions, no child-paced learning, no adequate engagement with each individual child. It's a conveyer belt and extremely rushed. If this is your child's first experience of swim lessons, I would not recommend. The actual swim teacher seemed very sweet and interacted with the children in a caring way, but the structure of the lessons appeared that once it started, it would continue, and if a child did not keep up or became scared or hesitant, the lesson would just continue regardless, and without them. This may be alright if you have a kid who is already confident in the water and has no qualms diving head first into new situations (this was a class for very beginners though, tadpoles). If your kid cannot do this, you're out of luck, and, I assume; forfeit your payment for that class. Manager was unhelpful on our first meeting and struggled to adequately and politely explain simple concepts regarding swimming lessons. The exchange was strained and I felt that she was frustrated by my questions, making for an unpleasant first experience of the facility. The ceiling is also leaking in the lobby and dropping roof-water onto the carpet with nothing to catch it, mind your head. The whole experience was pretty underwhelming, not looking forward to having to return for prepaid classes.

Update your opening hours for public holidays on your website or at least answer the phone calls otherwise don't disrespect people if they have been confused as result of miscommunication. Your website says Monday till 9PM Pool is open on Sunday up to 5PM Today you decided to close at 4PM. People make long trips and pay for fuel and make promises to their children and moreover get offended by your life saver staff 's behaviour. Nice front desk staff all time.
Positive experience: This place is very bad but at the same time its good. I went here with my little ones on Sunday and it was mediocre at best. I liked the staff at the front desk and the size of the swimming pools but I didn't like how they do their swimming lessons, it tends to feel very rushed like a system that never ends. The teachers don't really have time to teach each individual student. One part of the place I did like was the basketball area, after my kids finished swimming they went to go and play basketball and they had a great time. I loved the atmosphere and the people their. I dont really have anything else to add but other than that it was good.

Positive experience: Pretty nice place, this is the pool where I started my swimming career (Currently at Gordon Fetterplace). I love Mount Annan Pools because of the coaches they had for squads

Negative experience: It's incredibly dissapointing to be turned away on a 40 degree day for not booking ahead. My children were left very upset. It's confusing for me to tell them we aren't allowed in while large groups of others rock up (without bookings) and allowances are made to let them into the lap pool. The one and only time I've come before I found the staff to be rude. I can see from the other reviews this seems be an issue for other customers. The restrictions ofcoarse are in place for a reason but yours are confusing and inconsistent. There has to be another way to do this - other leisure centres seem to make it work. Thanks for your time.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the variety of classes especially the 4pm and yoga. Everything is well maintained and the fitness instructors are super friendly.
