Negative experience: Customer service could be much better, average facilities, and the the learning progress in the swimming class is much below expectation!!! Recently, they were closing the kids classes area.... And they squeezes four groups in one lane (in the main pool) - just a waste of time and money!!!

Negative experience: It was a miserable experience totally unusable utilities AND MAKE SURE U READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY ,they have a very sneaky method of trapping their customers , this sneaky Method is sometimes colloquially referred to as “gymtimidation”, it’s an evil way to feast on customers who forget or didn’t read the contract carefully, Various studies suggest that less than 10% of people read these documents in full , so with this method they feast on 90% of their customers!!!! unfortunately I was one of them :’( long story short , if u change your mind u can’t cancel your membership on the phone or online u have to go in person. and even when u go in person and cancel this unusable membership they still charge u for a month and if they feel like they can charge u extra 14$ a week

Negative experience: Was not impressed full of students and one two lane hardly enough and lots of Muslims school attending and giving you the glare and making you feel unwelcome

Negative experience: Actually if I can give them 0 stars, I will When ever you call while if you are sick to replace your lesson or enquiry for any thing, no one answer the phone and answer machine asked to leave your contact number and they going to call you back as soon as possible and never happens even if you call them 100 times for few days and leave more and more massages no one will bother to call you back and that happened for me every time I tried to call them. As well when the swimming teacher was sick, the other teacher covered her came late half lesson time and she didn’t give us extra time instead although we told her it’s half time of the lesson It’s really very very bad customer service

Negative experience: It's Such a waste of money and time. if you are thinking to take your kids for swimming lessons. 30 Minutes class around 5 to 6 kids each kid gets maximum of 5 minutes in each lesson. Its just a Rip off Business. Not recommended at all.

Negative experience: My experience at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre has been far from satisfactory. The combination of poor management and incompetent staff has resulted in a substantial waste of both time and money. Their lack of expertise, teaching methods seemed very ineffective. If you do not want to waste your time and money and want to properly learn how to swim please go somewhere else. I have choosen single star because its not allowing to post without choosing it otherwise i have not even choosen single star.

Negative experience: I have had extremely poor experiences with the Centre's customer service team, including with 'Chan' and 'Yusra'. Further, every time I used the aquatic centre, there were very limited lap swimming space/ lanes. And, any that were available, were usually occupied by individuals playing in the lanes. The change rooms were usually poorly maintained.

Positive experience: Little be crowded on the weekends but that’s expected in this summer. But weekdays it’s really a great place to have a swim.

Fantastic experience: Great facility with an abundance of swimming lanes for those trying to fit a sesh in after work or any time during the day. Much better than more popular places like Sydney Olympic Park

Positive experience: The pools are very lovely and families enjoy swimming in it. But the outdoor pool has some dirty stuff in it. So if you see this message as a reminder, I would be very pleased. Overall, I love it

Negative experience: My kids have been enrolled in this Swimming Pool School, and it has been a complete disappointment to say the least. Management are rude, incompetent and don't respond to emails. The swim school was not running for 3 weeks during the summer holiday christmas period, and they informed us that they will not be taking out any fees, however that was not the case. They blatantly lied, failed to correspond with parents and informed us their was a process to go through in order not to be charged the fees. Once a complaint was put through they completely ignored emails and didn't bother to rectify the matter or follow up. Also my children have been attending centre for over 12 months now and very slow to any if noticeable changes in the progress of my children's swim confidence. I definitely would not recommend this swim centre to anyone, they are thieves and don't care about resolving a situation or issue with parent. They take the notion they are correct and you are wrong. Absolutely disgusting that they don't even bother to attempt to resolve an issue especially regarding the disapproval and lies of fees being deducted during these hard financial times. Many other good swim centres around, don't settle for these thieving, incompetent and rubbish school centre.

Negative experience: Extra charges during the suspension period, I got charges pro rate charge + suspension fee. i.e. no one attends class but pays even more than a normal swimming class. Also, i got a penalty while charging to another credit card Those I try to talk and appeal to staff, it seem ignored yet. Not fair and ethnic. I felt every staff seem too busy than other swimming pool.

Positive experience: Clean and well maintained local pool. Best to come early morning to avoid excessive crowds.

Negative experience: I went there couple of times the play area closed they don't metion that on the website and even if you call them they will say we gonna open it but they don't. If you wants to entertain your kids dont go to this place

Fantastic experience: A great range of indoor and outdoor pools and facilities at this Aquatic Centre, plus a splash park for littler kids. Cafe has hot chips, ice creams, slushies, soft drinks and a coffee machine. We came on a 40°C morning expecting it to be packed but it wasn’t too busy. There is plenty of shade from covered seating and a long covered grandstand too which is great.

Their lack of expertise was apparent, as their teaching methods seemed haphazard and ineffective. It became increasingly evident that the staff was ill-prepared to provide the quality instruction that one would expect. If you do not want to waste your time and money and want to properly learn how to swim please go somewhere else.

Negative experience: I've never seen a pool where the reception is in the same space of the pool and everybody who enters can see what people are doing inside the water. People enter from outside with outside dirty shoes and walk by the pool. There should be at least a rule of changing shoes. Total lack of hygiene and privacy. The receptionist looked like she had no idea of what she was doing.

Negative experience: Will never come here or bring my children here ever again. I was being harassed by another woman with children that had come and sat on me and my families property and wet all of our belongings while we had just got in the pool. when I asked if she could share the bench ? Her response was to yell back at me and ask me if I had payed to rent the bench. She then followed me around harassing me and my children by name calling and making faces and flipping us off. Even though there was staff there, they were just watching and said they didn’t want to get involved.

Negative experience: 一颗星都不想给。三个孩子在这里学 让她们开一下正规发票，开了一年多都没给我开出来。来了好几次，每次都有各种各样的借口。正规发票而已。这么简单的事情，一个正规游泳馆开了一年多没开出来发票。

Fantastic experience: Good for swimming learners

Positive experience: Be careful when they have a aqua session. Its so loud. Feels like a dangerous decibel if you hear it for long time. They might need to check how high level of volume they play for music.

Negative experience: They don’t respect the woman only pool, when they have customers they cancel women only pool. The staff not organized everyone tell different thing and different time. It sucks!

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the pool and gym at this premises. The staff including the gym and aqua aerobic instructors were very supportive and friendly. I would love to visit the place all the time and anyone who loves aqua aerobics or wants to visit gym.

Negative experience: The Asian looking kid working at the reception (he worked on Sunday the 6th November 2022 around 10 am ) is very rude & presents himself as a bully especially to Indian people. I think he has problem with Indian looking people. I have noticed his shocking behaviour against few customers including myself multiple times such as pointing fingers, speaking rudely, stoping and asking name etc. Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre must not put community members through this horrendous situation. We as the Auburn community members don’t condone and accept such behaviour.

Negative experience: Great centre. Their membership is through Debit success who are the worst to deal with. Payment polies are designed to sting. Unfortunately I stopped my family membership kz I don't want to deal with debit success.

Positive experience: Normally like going here but the past few visits the pool has been heavily chlorinated (cloudy in the water) which has resulted in my skin getting irritated. Today, moments after I got out of the pool it felt like my legs and arms were on fire to the point I had to rush to the shower. Please address this issue, thank you.

Negative experience: Charging $124 for a FREE one-day trial. Staff don't know about free trial at all until I pointed out on their website. Contacted many times to fix my fee but they keep changing their answers, not helpful and rude. Staff at desk doesn't know anything, if you ask a question only thing they are doing is looking on their desk, chatting mates for long time, and bring other staff who still doesn't know anything.

Negative experience: worst swim school and pool ever, The staff at the reception who are supposed to assist you and answer your queries are hopeless , very irresponsible they have no idea about any thing, there a reception lady called Pam they should call her spam , she sooo rude and mean , teachers are not trained probably, they don't teach proper techniques and they always absent, every week different teacher. they keep withdraw money from my bank account for no reason. very disappointed

Negative experience: The service here is absolutely terrible. I understand they would be busy on hot days but common courtesy is just not common here. We were waiting in a very long line, got to the front and the guy just ignored us for a good 5 minutes after serving the people in front of us so quickly. I asked him why he couldn’t serve us and he said his shift had ended. I was then served by the same guy a few minutes later (perhaps his shift was extended) and then told I had to join the end of the long kiosk queue because I was paying by card and didn’t have cash. I was upset (not verbally abusive but frustrated) because I could’ve been told that the entire time I was waiting. They told me to calm down and didn’t even apologise for their lack of communication. I will never come back.

Negative experience: We just got back from there and the water park is CLOSED! The lady at the front desk was lovely and so was the lady at the cafe. However, those two lifeguards needs to keep their eyes on other people and not on us! We came with the expectations that the water splash park being open hence the gear that we had on. It’s CLOSED and only for school holidays Those lifeguards need more training. Then my husband tells us that the lifeguard said it was because they didn’t have any lifeguards?? Perhaps training with their bloody eyes to stop starring! That one in th bucket hat and glasses. Everytime I came to chat to my husband they came around. Why? Do you wanna jump into the conversation??? Staring at my husband and child and circling around like sharks and they’re the ONLY ones - meanwhile there’s a whole pool of people in the next pool. If I come back and it’s the same way again, take a picture next time. It lasts longer! And the other girl staring at us too. I bit my tongue so hard. Lucky I didn’t go off! Not good! It’s a scorcher of a day. We’re away from home. Not good when you want to enjoy family day and it’s the only time you got. Not gonna let this get to me or spoil my day, but I just had to get it out there. Not impressed! Do better!!!

Negative experience: The coldest pool I have ever been in my life the temperature is absolutely freezing outside. Not sure if the staff knows how to clean or maintain the temperature at all. Worst gym equipment ever I wouldn’t go even if was free.. Cumberland Council get your act together..

Fantastic experience: Has outdoor 50m, indoor 25m. And lots of kids wading pools and spas. Has a gym too. And Cafe. I enjoy coming here. Changing room and showers are OK. With $2 lockers.

Fantastic experience: I have been receiving lessons from Mick for sometime now, and I am satisfied with my training. He is very professional and friendly. He always tries his best to teach, while focusing each individual in the class. He remains in the water the whole time, demonstrates techniques and helps you perform it repeatedly.

Negative experience: Very poor customer service. Half of the staffs here has no idea about what they sre doing. First lap voucher can only be used after 8 weeks of payment. Had to cancel our membership due to winter time. Rang up too many time trying to sorted it out but nothing happened and we kept getting charged

Fantastic experience: My son loves Miss Marley, without complaints he is up and ready for swim class because of her. We enjoy swimming there too because it hasn't been overly crowded whenever we visit- even when busy. The aquatic centre is one of our go to places for leisure.

Positive experience: $7.6 for walk-in is a bit of expensive, i am hopeing $5. The weekly membership($17.2) is actually monthly, as you need to pay 4 weeks initially +$10 fees and when cancel it you still need to pay further 30 days(of cause you can use it in those days). I feel the outdoor pool water is not super clean.

Negative experience: Be wary of buying a multi-swim pass! Unfortunately not long after I purchasing a multi pass we faced the bushfires, where the air pollution made it it impossible to swim outdoors, then we rolled in to Covid-19. When I tried to use my pass I was told it had well expired. Apparently those abnormal conditions were only worth a 3 month extension to the pass. While none of this was communicated by the centre, even though they take your contact details when you sign up, they said it was up to me to keep in touch with them. I get they have to make money. But for me, rather than saving money on pre-purchasing swims, the result ended up far more costly than paying on the day. They have my money & the pool is open , so it would've been nice for a bit of goodwill to use what I have already paid for, as it doesn't cost them anything more to allow me to use the swims already paid for. Anyway that's their policy, so for anyone else looking to buy a multi-swim pass just be wary if circumstances change you may not be able to complete your swims.

Negative experience: Do not use the swim school here it is terrible. If only it was because the lessons were mediocre at best, no enthusiasm or even asking children’s names. The aquatic centre signs you up to active world and has debit success a seperate company handle payments. They overcharged me originally and kept trying to spam my account for more money!! I brought this up with so many people and I was either ignored or staff were not trained. I have email and sms receipts to prove this. I asked for the membership to be cancelled over a month ago and it has been ignored while they continue to try and charge me. There is no option to cancel your child’s membership online yourself and now they have sent my account to debt collectors when they made the mistake of overcharging me and ignoring me. DO NOT GO HERE!! I will attach screenshots and emails when I get home proving how bad this place is!

Negative experience: I really like Auburn outdoor pool, but a week ago on a hot Sunday, I used the outdoor swimming pool and was very disappointed. The pool was packed with people. The lanes were supposed to be divided by recreational and lap swimming. Kids and families played in all laps (chasing, throwing balls, walking, chilling) including the laps for swimming. The life guards watched on and took no action. This is going to be a hot summer and plenty of peopke will head to the pool. I hope staff can maintain control and enable swimmers to swim in the designated lanes and people who jud want to chill to stay in walking lanes/recreational lanes.

Negative experience: The the gym smells like someone has just used the toilet. Upon asking the The staff member replied it usually smells like that. The feeling is really uncomfortable and it does not go away. Outside pool is freezing cold up on asking the staff member the reply was the heating system for the outside pool is not working very well/broken. The management needs to change the council needs to do more, this facility is manage extremely poorly. There is no soap or hot water to take a shower in the men’s toilet. I am not sure if anybody cares most of the visitors are unhappy. But I definitely feel this is what you get in these suburbs.

Fantastic experience: The Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre is just most wonderful place. I feel blessed to have discovered it. The swim school is excellent and they go out of their way to make sure everyone has a chance to learn to swim. Mick, Marley and Zuhal are great teachers, the best I found in Sydney. They are patient and inclusive and fun - masters of their profession. There's a chance for people of all different backgrounds to swim, and everyone's modesty is respected. Just to see everyone here learning to swim, from all different ages and backgrounds will renew your faith in humanity.

Fantastic experience: Marley is an absolute asset to this facilities She is amazing with children ! My daughter talks about Marley all hours of the day. She has a special talent that only an educator /instructor with her experience can implement. Thnakyoi for helping eda :)

Negative experience: Downgrading my review of this facility after a parking fine whilst undertaking my lifeguard update. No LG should ever be fined for working at or undertaking study at a suburban pool.

Positive experience: Well run centre. Water temperature just right for a cold winters night swim.

Negative experience: I signed up for my daughter for Firday lesson.One week they called me and informed me that instructor will be away and asked me for another alternative day for make up class.They gave me the time that does not suit for me. The following week I requested them that my daughter will not come friday because of some reason and asked them for alternate day,the receptionist said she can not do anything.If they want they can do but if we need to adjust for some reason they said they can not.Make it fair for parents as well S

Negative experience: Poor service. I left my bag after the swimming class around 6.20PM yesterday. There was some food and my son’s glasses. When I was back home, I found my mistake. I contact them via phone and email. They found my bag and put it on the reception. They were closed at 7.00PM. I had no time to pick up. So I told them I would pick it up tomorrow. I picked it up just now, the older staff could not find the bag, and I showed the email to her. She was not happy to look it for. Then she asked another younger staff, who said she threw it! I said my son’s glasses were important. She was reluctant to pick it up from the garage bin. I believe that if I don’t have the email as a proof, they would not look for the bag for me. If I arrived there late, I would lost my son’s glasses.

Negative experience: The Centre is beautiful but the staffs and Managers are very irresponsible. The direct debiting system is not great. once you sign up to direct debit it fails to stop Even if you suspend it (while on vacations). The suspension fee is $5 every week. The teachers does not teach proper techniques. The instructor did not even get inside the water to teach. He just asked the Primary 2 children to swim back and forth. The list goes on but I have to stop here coz it will not make any difference!!!

Negative experience: The management of this facility is poor and their policies especially for absences due to medical reasons are flawed not to mention the miscommunication from the staff regarding the vacation period registration and charges. Have been getting mixed responses for the same query or issue from different staff. This week I was told that the customers for swim lessons are now required to inform the centre through a "paper" suspension form for any absences due to medical reasons and provide a medical certificate as well. The form states that processing fee will be charged for processing the request. The strangest requirement is that the paper form needs to be submitted "before" the medical event. First of all, no one plans on falling sick and definitely not kids that enjoy being in the pool. Secondly, if the child is unwell, the parents will be busy seeking medical treatment and the child's quick recovery than filling a paper form at the centre. I have since canceled my child's registration.

Negative experience: I signed up adult swim lessons for the first day of my lesson I cancelled my lesson with them,very poor communication!I went there 20 mins prior my lesson just to making sure nothing goes wrong from my end,asked receptionist about my adult lesson starts 6 what should I do for the first time,she told me adults lesson train in lane 6 that’s all the information I got,then I waited at lane 6 for 20 mins no one actually having contact with me,went reception twice getting the same answers. The funniest things is that second day customer service ring me up asking me what’s the reason,the management actually told her that the coach went to look for me 3 times.what a joke I sit there as told by your receptionist right in from of the lane! Very very poor communication! Customer service team remind me that I still need to pay until they fully charged me for 30 days which I told her go ahead.if that’s how you guys making me money I’ve to say you guys did very good job!

Positive experience: I am enjoying this facility immensely. The staff are friendly & helpful and the new improved facilities are fantastic. The gym, the pool, the spa..... What more could I ask for. I didn't give 5 stars though because I know a few tweaks are still required, where plans are underway but not implemented yet. i.e. New shop manager with healthy affordable food, and gym equipment and gym fixed and extended. The current gym is good and is slowly adding to the required items and space for classes Everything else is great. No complaints and I'm happy everytime I enjoy the facilities. This has improved so much with the renovations Also Good Work to all the new trained staff who are more than helpful, and make an effort to ask when they don't know. I think people forget to give thanks and provide credit where credit is deserved. Oh yeah, I can't wait to use the waterslide outside for the children YIPPEE

Negative experience: The whole program is disorganised and the team has very poor communication skills. The coaches almost changed on every lesson from day one and they knew nothing about the kids. My kid normally waited 5 minutes for the new coach to turn up and the lessons always finished 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled time - it only has 20 minutes left for 5 kids. While I was waiting for the coach to turn up, the coach from other lane even yelled at me“ Go to the reception!” I wrote a complaint to the center but no one replied. Very disappointed. I would not enroll my kid if I have other option. Two stars for them to fix the hot water issue.

Negative experience: This place traps you into swimming lessons via Direct Debit they real quick to charge and there is added $20 "admin fee" for compulsory DD payments. They up-sell the swimming lesson saying "family can swim free" then they refuse entry when I bring them down they want $4 "Spectator Fee", This place is clearly a money gorging private business. Best to avoid.

Fantastic experience: Great place! They provide a chance for all diverse cultures to participate and respect by ensuring there’s a female trainer and closed curtains. Not many care or are inclusive so it’s lovely to see the centre providing that. Also Christine is an amazing instructor and pretty experienced. I love the bathrooms and how clean the place is . Already recommended 4 people

Fantastic experience: What a hidden gem! Clean, modern facilities that are sympathetic to the original MCM architecture and retain a couple of cracking features. Tree lined boundaries belie the semi-industrial setting.

Positive experience: It's unfortunate the pool only opens from 7am. This makes it very annoying for early risers or those wanting to fit in a workout before work. It may be worthwhile to note that most aquatic centres and gyms open at either 5 or 6 in the Sydney region, I wish this place did the same.

Negative experience: Only members had the luxury of going in others were asked to back home.

Positive experience: While the club is top notch. But a lack of availability on the phones is an area that can be improved upon.

Negative experience: Simply this people working in the counter are disgusting and they don’t know what they doing, I been coming here coz don’t have much choice around. Mostly doesn’t have greeting, smiles and arrogant rude, some young ones are little better.

Negative experience: Extremely aggressive front desk staff, can't resolve any issues. I have had direct debit issue I've been trying to resolve for a month. Absolutely unprofessional I will be making a complaint to fair trading.

Negative experience: All through covid they didn't pause nor try to make up lessons for kids, first lockdown they made it so hard to cancel the subscriptions for my children I explained to them my situation and they wouldn't accept over the phone or an online cancellation form they said they didn't provide one .. I told them I will come down am time frame they said they are closed till 4:30 they can't accept visitors... this time around June 2021 they are still charging weekly no email explaining anything and their phone line is unattended.. I have no choice but to leave a message via Google

Negative experience: i am a normal 5yrs boy's father. just want to tell all do not come here Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre for your life. i booked a swimming class two weeks ago and paid already. but when i come on time still nobody know who is my son's coach and asked me one by one to check the paperlist, that time my son was falling down water. my wife was calling help, however three Coachs and one lifeguard didn't do anything. finally i save my son out of water although i can not swimming. the duty manager did not say sorry to us and told me the lifeguard is not a baby sitter and Coach they do have responsibility to care my son. i am very shocking. this life! this is 5yrs old kid life! i so upset this is here duty manager saying.

Negative experience: One of the dirtiest pools I’ve ever been to. It’s not just the leaves and dirt (which shows they don’t really clean regularly), it’s food, water bottles, dust balls floating around. The guards there just sit there and there’s no rules imposed on people there. People are jumping into the pool with their sweaty old t shirts on. There’s groups of people just crowding right in the middles of lanes. I would leave a 0/5 if I could.

Negative experience: Extremely poor water quality. Dead bugs and dark sediments flowing in the outdoor swimming pool, and my skin started to appear little itchy rashes after swimming. On the other hand, Many people wear random clothes and T shirts enter the pool. Personally I’ve been swimming in the Olympic Park aquatic center for a very long time before they started 6 months closing and nothing uncomfortable has ever happened..... so honestly no offense but highly don’t recommend Auburn Ruth Aquatic center, it was such an awful experience... i wouldn’t even want to give 1 single star rate...

Negative experience: Poorly managed swim school / centre. They function like one of those private gyms, traps you on a contract that makes it difficult for you to exit. The swimming pools are also dirty, under maintained. The front desk person who seems very proud to be working there, calling the shots, is extremely aggressive, rude, have zero customer service skills. Overall, I recommend going to another swim centre if you can.

Positive experience: Its a great place for kids and adults to train or have fun. I was a member for 6 months and loved the Zumbda and Aqua fitness sessions. The pools are clean and maintained though they can become crowded in summers. Also, the facility is old and can use some sprucing up. Special shout out to Elizabeth's Zumba classes which are so so fun!

Positive experience: The outdoor 50 metre pool so far this winter has never been at a acceptable temperature , always on the cold side , when I questioned the manager about the temperature being on the cold side I keep hearing all the time they are waiting for parts to fix the issues. Have considered cancelling membership. I do like this pool otherwise and staff are nice. come on get it fixed.

Fantastic experience: Staff are lovely, clean facilities, lots of pools (5) to choose from. There is a outdoor 50m and a 2m deep waterpolo pool. Indoors has a 25m, a hydrotherapy pool which is also used as a women's only pool at some times during the week. And a kids pool which also has a spa in it Good gym with lots of equipment. Splash pad for the kids. Lots of classes in the gym and the pool to choose from either paid separately or in a membership which Is great to have the flexibility if you don't want to commit to a membership.

Negative experience: Wish i could give 0 star rating for this place...not a good place to learn swimming, teachers change very frequently, no rhythm in teaching,no proper response on reception and OMG, its easier to talk to ScoMo than to their manager.Pathetic service is an understatement.Swim school is waste of money and it gets deducted every week without your control and doesnt matter if the class is held or not.Do yourself a favour and dont send your kid to their swim school.

Negative experience: The tiles are really slippery in the showers/changerooms and hallway. Slip hazard. The chlorine in the 25m indoor pool is so strong... It not only burns your eyes but also your skin. Never had that before. I understand that people swim with thier burqas and hijabs etc, so it's best to swim in the 50m pool.

Negative experience: Be careful with your direct debits. Before we even knew lessons were back on we had been charged 3 weeks. Very poor service. We will be moving on principle. Zero communication until we chased it up. How many more people have been duped in these tough times?

Positive experience: I've been a member for a few months now, was very happy to be contacted as soon as they were reopening. This gym and pool combination comes at an affordable price and the staff are extremely friendly, especially Jake who has remembered me by name and is always ready to answer any questions I have. The gym is lacking a few of the machines I used at my previous gym but they have the essentials which, at the price they are offering, is enough to ensure I continue returning. I definitely recommend checking them out

Fantastic experience: Well maintained and has a gym attached. Children water slides are a welcome addition. It has heated pools. A sauna would be a welcome addition..was great for summer. It has plenty of street parking.
