Our comment from FitFit Australia about Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre:
Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre, located in Baulkham Hills, Australia, is a modern and well-maintained facility that offers a variety of amenities for families and fitness enthusiasts alike. The recent renovations have resulted in a beautiful aquatic complex featuring multiple indoor and outdoor pools, including an impressive outdoor heated pool that is perfect for winter swimming.
Visitors have praised the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendliness of many staff members, particularly in reception. The centre is equipped with a public spa, steam room, and sauna, as well as fitness classes and personal training options. Additionally, the layout, ample parking, and family-friendly changing rooms enhance the overall experience. Features such as lifeguards on duty ensure a safe environment for kids enjoying the aquatic playground.
However, some reviews indicate challenges with customer service, mentioning instances of rude staff and inconsistent policies that have frustrated visitors. Issues such as air conditioning problems in the gym and long waits at the cafe have also been noted. Despite these concerns, many guests appreciate the variety of pools available for different skill levels and the enjoyable atmosphere for both children and adults.
Overall, Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre is recognized as one of the top aquatic complexes in Sydney, especially for families, and has the potential to address current issues for an even better customer experience.

Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Very nice and modern aquatic and fitness centre after the renovations in 2022. I love going to have a swim during winter mornings in the outdoor heated pool.
Negative experience: I have been to this centre a few times. Honestly I don't want to give them one star, they deserve ZERO. There are a few things that are terrible and concerning about this place, but this time is the worst. The staff were rude especially Cathy who served me. I told Cathy "one student swimming". She then asked me to show the student card which I did. She didn't believe me and asked me to show my university enrollment. I was shocked and told her I never had to do it previously. When I said that she became really rude told me to pay the adult price condescendingly. I tried to find other prove that I was a "student" studying this year with my phone, but my data wasn't working which I told her. I showed I was enrolled to Canvas a university application, but she didn't accept it. Like seriously what did she need, my academic transcript which showed my grades?? No other businesses in Sydney required that much prove for a student price. A student card should suffice. Honestly there was no need for me to go through the trouble if I wasn't a student. Considering the time that I had spent trying to prove my "student enrollment", I could have just paid $2 more (student price is $6.80 and adult is $8.80) which wasn't much and started swimming. But as a student which fits the criteria I should be entitled to the concession price. I had considered paying the adult price but I was very frustrated and angry with the poor customer service and mistreatment. Ultimately, Cathy's attitude and distrust of the evidence of my student identity was what made me decided to leave and not swim there. Aside from this incident, last autumn I wanted to swim in the indoor 25m pool. But when I was about to pay for it, I was told that the "Indoor 25m is not open since there's not enough people swimming. Only the outdoor 25m and 50m are open". Why on earth did the council close the pool at such short notice??Regardless of demand, all pools should be open since this is a publicly funded centre. Also, the phone number doesn't work. I've tried to ring the number several times and follow the instruction from the automated message. The line goes silent and loop the automatic message. The website is rubbish. The link to the lap availabilities doesn't show such information. It's very frustrating when you try to call ahead of time and the line is unreachable. Seriously all other swimming pools in Sydney have such basic services.
Negative experience: Came for a party. A child slipped on the slippery wet party floor. I rushed out to find someone, anyone who can provide an ice pack. No staff to be seen. Knocked on the door of the first aid room. No response. I noticed a group of staff in a room and as the door was closing I asked if there was somewhere I could grab an ice pack for the child. A female staff member simply said ‘these staff are on break they can’t help you’ just WOW, a child is injured and she did not ask how can I help instead of shutting down a request for first aid. Once she finished her rant about staff being on break and this being a room you can’t open the door on etc etc. I could finally speak and request and ice pack. Floor remained wet. Absolute risk for the young children at the party. DO NOT RECOMMEND hosting a party here as you won’t have any staff to assist on hand.
Fantastic experience: I love this place with my baby every week
Negative experience: I’ve been attending classes at this gym for a while, but I’m disappointed with the recent experiences. During training, the air conditioning was turned off, and none of the staff were able to help fix the situation since only the manager could resolve it—and unfortunately, the manager had left the gym. This isn’t the first time it has happened. I’ve raised the issue with the receptionist before, but they couldn’t do anything about it either. It’s really frustrating, especially when it impacts the quality of the workout. I hope this issue gets addressed soon."
Negative experience: Not Recommended – Issues with Air Conditioning and Pool Maintenance It's difficult to understand how people can sit for an hour or more in a room without air conditioning or even a fan, especially in such hot weather. This can lead to health issues like dehydration, dizziness, or even flu-like symptoms. Moreover, the lack of proper ventilation makes it harder to breathe, as we all rely on the airflow to maintain oxygen levels in the room. Given the current weather, it is essential that the air conditioning system is functioning properly during all classes and workouts, for both comfort and safety. I urge you to please look into this matter and ensure that the air conditioning remains at an appropriate level throughout the entire duration of classes and gym activities. I've been a member of Waves since it opened, and the experience has changed drastically. The air conditioning used to be great, but now it's terrible. When I asked staff about it, they simply said they couldn't do anything. The pool water is also over-chlorinated, likely due to poor maintenance overall. These issues make it uncomfortable, especially since it's been extremely hot inside the gym, and many other members feel the same way. The gym has become busier, which should be a reason to maintain the facilities better, not worse. If these problems are fixed, I'd be happy to update my review. However, as it stands, I can’t recommend this gym.
Negative experience: Good facilities. Staff culture problem.
Fantastic experience: This is the best place to swim in the Hills district. Very big and clean
Fantastic experience: Very helpful gym reception staff. Helped me with finding a personal trainer as well.
Fantastic experience: One of the best pools in hills area especially the outdoor pools are awesome!
Fantastic experience: Yoga teacher Sharron and Reformer teacher Aly are so good, I can’t find any where else good for me to practice during pregnancy, their deep care makes me feel the best. The pool is warm and staff is so friendly, I once forget my phone and the staff borrow her phone to me.
Fantastic experience: Cleanest pool I’ve ever been to. Sauna/ steam rooms are great and well structured. Showers are spacious and the pools are great! Heated and great for the kids
Fantastic experience: My 8 year old absolutely loves WAVES! Awesome facility with great staff & friendly service. Will be back for more.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, clean and tidy, and the staff are awesome
Fantastic experience: Really nice pools, the outdoor pool was very clean!
Negative experience: Horrible customer service, their policy for kids swim class is a rort and management don't care to rectify the issue. Also the kids shallow pool is dangerous and has scraped our toddlers feet numerous times! Causing the skin to peel and to bleed, on sharp tiles.
Negative experience: From experience, I would Not be returning to this facility at all. The pool water is over chlorinated probably because the whole thing is poorly maintained. The pool floor tiles are rough/broken and have left my kids with bleeding feet on multiple occasions. General areas don't seem very clean. Buyer beware when using this facility for swim lessons or as a fitness centre. Their policies are not consumer friendly. For example they don't offer any make up lessons and schedule adjustments are nearly impossible. They charge fees and take payments without providing services. Customer service is terrible, no one is available to speak in person or on the phone. The only communication is through email and the reply is usually next day, so not suited for any emergency situation and apparently they don't do exceptions.
Positive experience: Amazing place. Even with the water playground closed, my toddler and I were blown away by how great the facilities are. It even had three life guards continually monitoring. Just a few things, the changing tables for toddlers are terrible and feel like wool break at any moment (they are the flip down type), parking bays are tiny, not enough seating around the pool and what really put me off was one of the front desk ladies was incredibly rude. All the other staff was great. I went on a not so busy day (thats what one if the staff told me, about 50-70 people) but I can see this place getting out of control if it was busy as all lockers were taken and all seats were full.
Negative experience: I recently visited Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre in Baulkham Hills on the 21st of July at around 2:00 pm. While the facilities are generally well-maintained, I experienced an extremely unprofessional situation regarding the sauna and steam rooms According to the centre’s website, there is a strict 20-minute max time limit for the sauna and steam rooms. However, upon my arrival, the receptionist informed me that there are no time limits for these amenities. This discrepancy between the information provided online and what I was told in person is extremely misleading and unprofessional. I had planned my visit based on the information available on the website, only to find out that it was incorrect. This not only caused confusion but also disrupted my schedule. Consistency and accuracy in communication are crucial for customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre fell short in this regard. I hope the management will take steps to ensure that all information provided to customers, whether online or in person, is accurate and up-to-date. This will prevent similar inconveniences for other patrons in the future. Overall, while the centre has potential, this experience was disappointing and tarnished my perception of their professionalism.
Fantastic experience: An excellent swimming facility with appropriate options for many people.
Positive experience: Great aquatic centre with a public spa, steam room and sauna. Only downside is that the centre is not part of the Fitness Passport program as they provide their own membership.
Negative experience: Calling to center admin for several times, leaving voice message and notes on website. Never get feedback.Bad customer service I have experienced so far. Hope can be improved. Poor staff management.
Fantastic experience: Nice facilities. Several pools. Open 50m pool. There is parking but I dont think it is enough. I would recommend to visit it.
Negative experience: The management is very poor. The staff didn't let me in because I forgot to bring a towel. However, during my first visit, I also forgot a towel, but they let me in. It doesn't make sense that sometimes they allow entry without a towel and sometimes they don't. They explained that as a council gym, the policy is very strict. This inconsistency is ridiculous and has caused them to lose two members and my trust.
Fantastic experience: Best pool in the west. Great gym too
Fantastic experience: Used the pool and spa and everything was quite clean and tidy.
Negative experience: I paid a full year membership for swimming, but ended up only swimming less than 20 times. The indoor pools are not good for adults, the outdoor pools are impressive but not great in cold weather. I have been quite disappointed.
Negative experience: I swam at waves for 15 years in the old pool twice a week. Mel at the front desk was the best. We would chat and the feeling was friendly and lay back. Today was my first day back in the 50 metre pool as I was used to swimming at Granville as thats the area I worked. I live in the hills and wanted to try out Waves again. I went to the counter and was standing in a line when I was greeted by a staff member who was just rude, told me to stand at the sign and she would call me when she was ready. I said to her I wanted a 20 visit pass. She could not help me and said that I need to do it on line. This pool maybe fancy but the people they have working there are terrible. I cant believe Im seeing the same comments in the reviews. Luckily for me I didn't buy the 20 visit pass as the centre seems to be run badly. Half of the 50 metre pool was shut down with panels lifted half way through. There were 3 people in each lane. I'm sticking with Granville. It may not have the facilities of Waves but the people are friendly and I get a lane to myself as the whole pool is open. Waves is terrible.....
Fantastic experience: The spa, sauna and steam place were amazing. The place is very clean and well-maintained. The staff were very nice espesh in the reception area. Will try to use the gym next time. Very recommended to go and enjoy.
Fantastic experience: One of the best aquatic complexes in Sydney! The gym is also very new and well-maintained. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly and organised. We particularly like its convenience, given that the gym and the aquatic facilities are next to each other, and they both can be accessed via the same method.
Fantastic experience: A clean and quiet pool. There are different pools with different depths. You can find what suits you. It is nice to have different alternative pools, especially for those who are new to swimming. There is a lifeguard at every pool.
Fantastic experience: Nice place to be at fittness is good they prioritise in movement here
Positive experience: The facilities here are first class, great place to exercise and swim , I find the music in the gym irritating so I wear earplugs, otherwise all good. I go the regularly and would recommend this place.
Negative experience: Adding to all the 1-star reviews about staff (all the same theme) - Extremely rude and if there is training, it's clearly not applied during customer interaction. Staff uses aggressive tone, cutting-off customers mid sentence.
Negative experience: Great place for fun, party, swim and relax. However the cafe service is super slow, staff shows no enthusiasm, long waiting on weekends. There’s outdoor space where people can have picnic if they bring own catering food. No need to use cafe chairs and tables. The aquatic center staff members are extremely rude. They will jump off start fighting if they see you are sitting at the table eating your own food. No manners. Can’t say things nicely. We just liked the facility itself but not the bully staff members. They make your day feel like horrible.
Fantastic experience: So good facilities are new and well maintained, very clean. The staff are great too deal with too :) it's probably the best acquatic centre / gym I have been too in Sydney
Negative experience: I have had the worst experience trying to book my daughter into swimming lessons. I called you several times no one called back for weeks. I finally got a call back after like a month and the instructions were unclear. The online booking system is horrendous, confusing and simply not user friendly. Honestly, private swim schools handle the customer service side of things so much better. The centre does look quite nice, I have to admit. I really hope you make significant improvements to your booking and custoemr experience systems/processes in the near future!
Negative experience: *edit* Read some reviews after I posted. Glad to see it's not just me that finds the booking system terrible, as well as the staff being rude and unhelpful. Why is the booking system extremely archaic? Called in for assistance and the workers didn't care, nor did they want to help. Just kept saying 'follow the prompts'. If the prompts were straightforward, I wouldn't be calling! They were very short-tempered and ended hanging up on me.
Fantastic experience: A brand new aquatic centre, many different indoor, outdoor pools. Friendly staff, nice cafe and Gym equipment.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities for kids. Parking was not difficult weekday morning. Clean, well maintained and staffs were kind.
Negative experience: Never join waves they setup auto debit never refund with problems in billing system. They will do whatever to get terms and conditions modified for their ease.. avoid waves..join any other that can have your control of money.. Such a pathetic system and don’t want to listen
Fantastic experience: Great centre. Plenty of pools for all different skill levels. Gym is top notch. Sauna and steam rooms are large and hot. Staff are friendly and professional.
Positive experience: Overall I think it rates a 4 but some things bring it back. Aqua fit is very good but sometimes too crowded. Body balance has potential but is too noisy. Did yoga today and it was excellent. The classes for body balance and yoga are on top of each other. There needs to be a queue system. No one goes in until everyone from previous class is out. Also need to mark on the floor where mats are to go for all sessions so that it's not a jumble and everyone has there own space.
Fantastic experience: I have been here a few times now and I really like the layout of the centre. My little one absolutely loves the splash pad and the indoor pool too! The toilet facilities and changing rooms are really great and family friendly too especially for the little ones. I find going during the week is better as it is quieter and you can get a carport. I can imagine if it was a big event or a school swimming carnival that it would be a struggle to get a carspot although I can say I haven’t been caught out yet. Cafe has great food and reasonably priced as well.
Positive experience: Nothing spl about swimming pool.Canteen staff was arrogant enough than expected.Snacks items were limited. Not so bad.Good enough to spend couple of hrs.One deep pool should have been there in the covered area.
Fantastic experience: 适合亲子活动的一天
Fantastic experience: Great aquatic centre .it is easy to keep an eye on the kids as it is not too big! Sth neat and tidy.good number of toilets and changing room.
Fantastic experience: Such a big place to explore. Indoor pools with outdoor water park is great for toddlers and kids. Baby friendly as well for some wading.
Negative experience: they really should turn off the aircon in swimming pool’s change room, it’s freezing!! Can you imaging being wet and walk into a very cold room. A otherwise great swimming pool.
Fantastic experience: Waves is the most friendly, accessible (for all types of ability), welcoming place! The staff are very encouraging and personable, as well as the community. Well done Waves and the hills council
Negative experience: This place has a lot of potential if it wasn’t for the rude and inconsiderate staff picking on various individuals throughout the day and ruining it for all. So much so the 40+ odd people left the centre entirely. Multiple lifeguards were inconsiderate to our concerns. On a 33 degree heat day they had 2 leisure lanes open in the massive pool and over 11 lap lanes. There would’ve been over 200 people in those leisure lanes and it was completely crowded and unenjoyable so we decided to swim in the “slow” lane where no one was actually swimming laps. The rude and arrogant lady was the first to tell us off and wouldn’t even listen to our concerns. Just asked us to leave. Another white haired gentleman listened to our concerns of the crowded areas and went to speak to the supervisor on our behalf because he agreed. After 4 hours of complaints from the lifeguards ( who should’ve focussed their attention on saving people) we actually got our way and they changed the lane to fun and leisure. Our main concern was for the parents sitting on the grass area wanting to keep an eye on their children who were on the other side of the pool. WAVES needs to be more accomodating and adapting and clear out the rude staff members.
Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service at this place. Was on hold for 5 minutes to then be borderline shouted at by the staff over the phone who was less than accommodating and just kept referring to the “portal”. Refused to give me any info on kids swim classes and told me to send an enquiry on the website which then takes TWO WEEKS or more for someone to get back to you. Will not attend this faculty, nor send my child here purely on the disgusting service I was given.
Negative experience: If you're planning such a massive venue to accommodate a crowd, you really should consider creating a bunch of parking spaces, whether it's underground or by building levels. You've got to tackle the parking issue. That vast empty space nearby isn't being utilized well; it looks like a graveyard. I really wonder what the designer was thinking. Cars are scattered all over the place, and the neighbors around here will surely complain sooner or later. Joining a gym like this, with a messed-up setup, is just a waste of money.
Fantastic experience: Great place to bring my 3 years old swimming. There are ample parking spaces and venue is very clean. There is a cafe onsite where you can buy food/beverages after all the fun in the pool
Positive experience: Alright facilities and service. Only gets three stars due to the hours. We would love to see them open earlier and stay open later! 8pm close on a Friday in Summer is poor, especially gym, steam and sauna.
Negative experience: They have the audacity to charge a 'spectator's fee' to watch your child play and swim casually. The fee clearly offers the poor parent or grandparent no benefit or service. On busy days there's limited seating, so the arbitrary, money-grabbing fee doesn't even provide you a perch upon which to supervise. The pool is being opportunistic in slugging a captive audience of younger kid's guardians. **The pool's facilities are lovely, save for scolding hot showers in the men's change rooms . But shame on them for their fee to sit down and use eyeballs.
Negative experience: Gym is ok when it’s not busy, but after New Years, it’s been busy and the wait for equipment has been pretty annoying. They don’t have any accessories such as bands, so I bring my own but for some reason a small bag isn’t allowed on the floor which is what I carry my bands, straps, and other personal equipment that they don’t provide in. So stuck bringing all my accessories from machine to machine while they’re falling out of my hands, which is also extremely annoying. Hip thrust machine isn’t great for all body types and no other alternatives provided aside from a bench which also isn’t great for shorter people… Not a place that feels like you can seriously lift or stick to a program easily in.
Fantastic experience: This place is a gem in the heart of The Hills Shire. Australia Day waves turned it on for young old and in between. Games for littles, slippery slides indoor pools fantastic playground with water fountains. Hot diggety dogs for sausages with bread rolls free with admission cost. The DJ was awesome in areas with tarpaulin. Swimming in the pool was awesome no bad behaviour noticed on the day the lifeguards on stilts were so much fun with great interactions. Pleasure to give 5 stars if people are miserable here they are just unhappy whiners!
Negative experience: SORRY FOR THE LENGTHY CRITICISM The centre is clean, water is clear with no chlorine smell in the air.( just makes you wonder maybe ) I've been there twice, WITH Reporting cold water an told its heated. The management that looks after the facility must be dedicated bean counters with very tight budgets that run the centres including have NO health issues so to speak, they don't use the pool I repeat the Staff advise that the pool ìs heated!!! My medical condition has several fusions in my body and medical Experts/Physician/Surgical practitioners/Physiotherapist advise that the pool should be heated to 32 degrees other people in the same session All state the water was way to cold. I'll be attending further sessions see if it improves . Thanks for listening
Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time yesterday. Big clean gym, good gym atmosphere. Everyone minded their own business, was respectful and helpful when needed. Well equipped with everything pretty much new. I'm definitely going to join as a regular member.
Positive experience: Went this last Sunday with my family to the aquatic center. It was very busy, as expected, it was a hot day. It was too busy to be comfortable though. I really don’t understand why people reserve seating space with bags and bags if their stuff. I went in as a spectator, my husband and kids used the pool. Yet it was hard for me, one person, to find a place to sit. Entire families had put their multiple bags on benches and went off to swim. I just don’t understand why the center dosent put a policy in place that benches are for sitting and bags have to be put in the floor or under benches. The pools were good, lots of options for those that want to swim recreationally or for training/fitness. Splash area was busy but looked like a lot of fun. My girls enjoyed it, but found it very crowded. I probably won’t be going back. Perhaps a cap on the number of visitors might help. Either way, it’s a fun place to spend a few hot hours if you don’t mind crowds.
Positive experience: Nice place, but no waves
Fantastic experience: Very nice place to swim, sauna, and spa Facilities are awesome Highly recommended it
Fantastic experience: Good place to be except poor customer services. The lady was very rude and not helpful at all.
Positive experience: Nice complex to visit with two great swimming pools and also a playing area for kids.
Positive experience: I think the management should consider The a small corner, step inside the stem & spa room many people were struggling step up it’s bit high Specially for the people who injured
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, large indoor and outdoor areas, with a nice attached Cafe. Highly recommended for families with the outdoor water park.
Positive experience: Great facilities. Unfortunately the customer service is under par and they close certain facilities at different times without telling you until after you have paid your entry fee.
Positive experience: We go there regularly with the kids. It is new and a real pleasure to visit. the Cafe is very expensive but otherwise, a good visit. I am considering membership.
Fantastic experience: Well designed indoor and outdoor pools, along with spa, sauna, jacuzzi and a well equipped modern gym with numerous energetic trainers can fill up 6 hours of your day.
Negative experience: We enter the indoor pool with my 3 year old and swim for a minute and found out the staff was trying to remove a POO in the pool. We ask the staff for a refund and they rejected it! That is outrageous! We only came for the indoor pool. Left very unhappy.
Fantastic experience: Probably one of the best Aquatic centre's by far in the west. Great facilities, clean plenty of food choices, and even a big splash pad. Best of all open till 8pm.
Fantastic experience: Great for young kids especially around 3 - 5. Outside area is only open party time though which can be a little annoying. Facilities are too notch though including free secured lockers.
Negative experience: Over-crowded, overly strict lifeguards with poor communication skills, on busy days should allocate more outside pool space to recreational swimming rather than maintaining all the lap swimming lanes, generally poorly designed with parents struggling to find areas to sit, overall pretty ordinary experience.
Fantastic experience: this place is great, but the only strange thing is that they have aircon on COLD mode in swiming pool's change room, normally after swimming people are so cold and the Aircon should be set in HOT mode or simply just turn off the aircon in change rooms.
Negative experience: After years of attending this pool, they decided to change the entry policy and waited until I turned up to tell me because they "had no other way" of telling me. Apparently they don't have email or phones. More like they want to waste my time my money on unnecessary individual profiles their customer service and food however has has always sucked and been overpriced.
Negative experience: This place sucks Bottom line Staff kicked the kids out We were swimming medium in the medium lane and she said we were slow but there were people who swimming incredibly slow. She kept singling us out and j had reason to believe we were racially profiled as we didn't do anything wrong This behaviour shouldn't happen in the 2qdt century and I'm disappointed this happened in my local area. I will never come here again and all others shouldn't aswell A member of the community
Positive experience: Lots of lanes for lap swimming. Sauna isn't very hot and very small considering the size of the facility. Steam room can get hot if the door isnt opened every 5 minutes, also very small. Overall an ok place to go for a swim/ hot room
Negative experience: I had few unfortunate experiences with customer service at Waves swimming pool and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I am writing because my positive experience at the gym which I visit regularly are contrasted by consistently frustrating encounters in swimming pool area. Firstly, the staff's attitude was far from accommodating. when I approach the counter to pay for my son, I was suggested to pay through the online portal instead of using my credit card at facility. This seemed like an unnecessary inconvenience, especially when paying on-site should be straight forward process. it raises question about facility transparency and convenience for its customers. Moreover, I couldn't help but notice a clear bias in the behaviour of the same staff member which appeared very friendly and accommodating towards customers from her own country, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for those who did not share the same background. The overall experience left me questioning the professionalism and inclusivity of Waves swimming pool. I hope management takes these concerns seriously to ensure a more positive and equitable experience for all members. Sincerely Mah
Fantastic experience: Love this place. The inside pool is heated and perfect for kids. The outdoor water play is great and the outdoor pools are so clean and large. We spend over 3 hours eatchime we come in. The only downside is the limited carpark, but that's understandable.
Positive experience: I love Waves. The facility is fantastic and love that we have both indoor and outdoor swimming options local to us now. Also love the spa and sauna and have often made use of these after long days at work. Only let down is parking is a challenge most of the time. There simply isn’t enough parking to accommodate swimmers and gym goers and I wish the council planned this better during the big rebuild. We will return to waves as it is one of our favourite local spots.
Fantastic experience: Like many others I learnt to swim at Baulkham Hills pool in the 80s/90s, though I hadn't been to the pool in the decades since. I heard good things about the recent renovations and added it to the list for our summer break. I brought my husband and two small children and have to say we loved it. The simple buildings and old school canteen have gone (though I'll never forget summers filled with sausage rolls, icy poles, frosty fruits, and if I was lucky a chocolate Heart ice cream) and the facilities are excellent. My 4 and 2 year old loved the splash zone and had countless turns on the slides. The indoor kids pool is fantastic; a great size, covered and heated but with fresh air coming in from outside and hence not stuffy. The schnitzel burger and fish burger were both excellent and customer service friendly and efficient.
Fantastic experience: Great place for a splash.....plenty of water activities for all ages...very spacious area/s that don't seem crowded even with lots of people....
Fantastic experience: Place is the best thing since sliced bread! The pool great for the kids, big waterpark, my son absolutely loves it.
Positive experience: This sprawling aquatic complex has all the bells and whistles: multiple pools, spa, sauna, gym, cafe, splash play for kids, plentiful free parking and more. And rules, so many rules… you can’t even walk to the counter to pay for entry, you have to wait at a sign to be “called”. Adult entry is $8.20 and over $13 if you want to use the spa and sauna as well. Staff serve very slowly, so expect to wait. But despite (or perhaps because of?) it’s feature-packed design, it’s a curiously soulless and sterile place, that we just didn’t warm to. Maybe it was seeing a lap swimmer rudely take over the two measly “splash and play” lanes when both outdoor pools were nearly totally devoted to people like him. When queried, not by the staff mind you, he said he was “splashing and playing just in a straight line”. I think it’s just the level of entitlement that ruins this one. We wouldn’t return, but if you had kids, they’d love it.
Fantastic experience: An unbelievable renovation has taken place here to make this aquatic centre a must visit. Did Pilates here a few years ago, the Parramatta Eels trained here for years, and now it's a national quality facility.
Fantastic experience: It is great. Even better than Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic center
Positive experience: Pool is good but female bathrooms are dirty and mouldy. Showers are too hot with set temperature, so you can’t adjust to your liking.
Positive experience: The staff are unable to identify which kids belong with which parents during the after school period. Parents sit on their devices while there kids are in the pools, this is extremely dangerous as those kids are the ones who cause problems with other swimmers. The facility is only a year old but the staff are not equipped to handle problematic patrons. They should take a leaf out of other local pools management to how to run a public pool.
Fantastic experience: Wow. This has been a massive upgrade to the pool, what they have done to it. It was great before but now, I’d say it’s the best pool in the area. They have lots of change rooms, a great outdoor 50m pool and a great 25m indoor pool, as well as a kids water play area and a shallow indoor play area. The food is great at the cafe and it’s easy to buy tickets. The change rooms are big and are clean and there is lots of space. There are showers and toilets and an outdoor and indoor gym. There are lots of steps people can sit on and picnic tables under shelter. It’s easy to park in due to the upgrade in carpark and it’s easily accessible by wheelchair too. There is a part in both pools that have a ramp to allow wheelchairs to go in the water. The staff are great, there are lots of lifesavers keeping watch, the food and swimming stuff for sale is cheap and so are the tickets. It’s a great day out for people of all ages, with parking, fun, food, shelter and space to eat, all while you are safe and having a good time. Overall, this is my pick for a swimming pool in all of the hills and parramatta and I’d say it’s only rival would be the pools in Homebush or the AIS.
Fantastic experience: very helpful staff. brand new state of the art equipment, all helps with the motivation
Fantastic experience: We love this place. My kids enjoy a lot. Very hygienic and safe place. Its one of our favorite go to places during breaks.
Negative experience: The manager and staff of wave fitness & Aquatic centre engage in unethical conduct by singling specific gym members and attempting to dissociate them. It has reached stage where we feel apprehension and harassed. The staff exhibit rudeness with a cold attitude and are indifferent to any complaints made by anyone.
Fantastic experience: Muito bom, bem cuidado...fica tranquilo para levar as crianças, pois tem salva-vidas atentos à criançada e as piscinas internas são bem rasas.
Fantastic experience: 完美的设施
Fantastic experience: 좋아요
Fantastic experience: Beautiful new facility, staff are lovely and know their stuff. Only downside is that you guys are not yet a part Fitness Passport yet!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful new facility. Great pool, my kids love it!
Fantastic experience: The place is great but cafe is a joke. 35 minutes for hot chips and no proper order system in place.
Fantastic experience: Great place to take the kids to run around (6 and 8 yr olds)
