Negative experience: Arrived 7:45 for some laps. After 10 minutes only one 25m lap lane was open trying unsuccessfully to cater for slow, medium and fast swimmers. Not going to be pleasant for anyone. Also showers were but a dribble...could not was off the chlorine water. Nice location tho .

Fantastic experience: We are travelling and did not have towels for the pool. Staff went out of their way to help and provided these. Amazing friendly service that's getting hard to find.

Fantastic experience: Don't go there if you're looking for resort facilities and catered services as a cashed up or critical tourist. I would suggest this is the reason there are some negative comments here because it didn't meet those sorts of expectations. However, this is a wonderful community facility for locals, families and also older people. The fitness centre offers a diverse range of excellent classes. They also cater well to older and retired people and for folk with disabilities and carers. Staff are friendly and always supportive for assistance with equipment and techniques. Pickle Ball is a new favourite activity organised and run solely by a growing number of locals and retirees. The outdoor pool in summer is a gem in a beautiful parkland setting. It's usually quiet except for school swimming carnivals. It has renovated access paths that suit those with mobility issues as well as ramped entry to the water in the pool. The outdoor pool has new accessible shower and dressing room amenities .

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting from Wales and have been doing challenging walks for a couple of days so I was aching all over. This place is an absolute tonic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the pool and spa were so soothing!

Negative experience: A strange gym…classes seem to be filled with aggressive gossiping women. Perhaps there’s some odd drug activity going on in the class area bathroom as I saw a short woman with scraggy dirty blonde hair come out sniffing with her finger on one side of her nose. Another group of 3 women were discussing Gobbo and the underworld. I think they wished it was them that got all the fringe benefits. They also barge into your personal space like real weirdos. I wouldn’t go there again. Yucky place.

Fantastic experience: Had noticed that some of the recent reviews had been negative so was hesitant to go, however it was a hot day and I thought why not?! I’m very glad I went, no issues at all. Very friendly front desk staff, affordable entry price for a guest visit & the outdoor pool (the only one we used) was clean! A bonus of poolside chairs and grassy areas to chill/tan. A separate baby/children’s pool meant that the large lap pool was quite empty.

Fantastic experience: Went to Kids kingdom for a party today and it’s a great spot lots of room for kids to play and my son also goes here for swimming lessons. Definitely a great place.

Negative experience: absolutely revolting staff members. extremely rude and unhelpful aswell as belittling and extremely passive aggressive. i heard staff members talk badly about me after i had asked a simple question, then proceeded to point me out multiple times to other staff members. this made me feel extremely uncomfortable and i am absolutely appalled. i got multiple dirty looks at me from staff members. i have been coming here for years and the fact the staff is this rude is just really disappointing. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Fantastic experience: $15 for a swim, spa and sauna. Loved the heated outdoor pool. Blessed by the spa and sauna.

Fantastic experience: I love the new pool, it is just wonderful. The staff is lovely and the showers very good and clean.

Negative experience: The roof leaks onto walkways when it rains and the whole indoor area is in disrepair. Lithgow and Springwood pools are a lot nicer. Instead of spending money on new outdoor pools how about some basic building maintenance? Staff are unpredictably helpful or extremely not and pool guards don't seem to do much when they are actually there. It seems that the council favour cheap junior staff that either don't want to be there or have no skills over older knowledgeable and experienced staff.

Positive experience: The place needs some TLC. Given the cost of activities, council needs to re look at what they charge. The cost of living is high enough without them gouging even further. Fair enough if they put it back into the place but they don't.

Negative experience: $4.50 to have a shower in a room with other men (no stalls literally just a tiled room with multiple shower heads) if youre a traveller or homeless like me, dont come here its just mean.

Positive experience: It’s pretty good for kids but their trampoline set up is dodgy at best and thought it looked unsafe when I saw it. My child fell off onto the hard floor and ended up with a huge bump on the forehead. I was not impressed with at all.

Positive experience: Several lockers have been broken for months, one locked on open for same amount of time. Obviously not checked. Only two of six showers in Women’s change room have any pressure. Mats keep disappearing meaning there is nowhere dry to stand when getting changed. Soap dishes in the showers are broken, obviously maintenance is so low as to be nonexistant. Food is often taken into pool area despite signs saying it should not be. Attendants also take food and drink so setting a bad example.

Negative experience: Gym equipment is old, broken and dirty. Stains on the carpet, dirty window sills, equipment has not been properly cleaned or maintained. Nobody brings towels or wipes down equipment. No staff around for advice, or to check people are adhering to basic hygiene. BMCC employees go there in uniform and then leave it lying around, use multiple machines at once without cleaning any of them, and you guessed it, no towel. Somehow this is acceptable? This place used to have free towels to be used, but it seems not only the standards but also the hygiene is something which management simply doesn't care about. Very disappointing for what could be a great place to train.

Fantastic experience: We spent a few hours at kids Kingdom for a birthday party, great venue, kids can run around crazy and burn their energy while the adults sit and watch with a coffee. Excellent basketball facilities and indoor pool open all year round. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Enjoyed my swim and the bonus heated spa was a welcome surprise… however the water pressure and super short timers in the showers are a real downer : You don’t have time to wash your hair before the timer cuts out and unlike other timed showers I’m familiar with you are left with no water for an extended period. The only way I could manage was to leave the cubicle and go between the one next to me and back to the original one several times to complete the hair washing. I mean….what!?!?

Positive experience: Great relaxed place for kids to enjoy. Most parents are hands on with supervision, tends to be the odd couple of parents that would rather gossip with their friends or bury there head in their phones and let their kids run amok. Overall very good experience. Staff are very friendly and helpful if need be, always clean and pretty affordable.

Negative experience: Website is not existent, multiple phone callis on different days at different days go un answered. No announcement on social media or anywhere else that outdoors is under construction. The whole centre needs an update

All women employees was kind of entertaining in the hour and a half I was there as I saw one employee have and argument with a elderly patron which forced the employee to spray water at him and there was an argument between employees over water cleaning job . This place is entertaining in own right yet made me feel abit uncomfortable

Negative experience: Quite possibly the most miserable, rude, disinterested service I've ever experienced anywhere. And it's not a one off. We go every week for our children's swimming lessons. ALL of the staff, young, old and in between are absolutely miserable and old mate who is often at the front counter has given up on life. Pathetic service. Really unfriendly, grumpy, rubbish service. We pay hundreds of dollars for the swimming lessons yet our children are ordered to "get out of the pool" when having a paddle before their lessons. It's unbelievable! Blue Mountains Council need to have a good hard look at this place and start telling some people to pull their heads in. Absolutely atrocious.

Requires heating in all areas of play area - side area of tables & seating was very cold in April - hate to think what it would be like in July. Snacks & food options good and priced ok as well.

Fantastic experience: Facilities here are immaculate, warm showers in private stalls, incredible sauna and hot spa ~40 degrees. Exactly what we needed after a few days of hiking and mountain bike riding whilst on a budget! Spa bubbles weren’t working whilst we were there but the staff were very nice and friendly about it.

Fantastic experience: My boys play basketball there. Its a great venue, clean and tidy. Friendly staff. There is a cafe, indoor seating and the amenities are always clean. Plenty of parking, disabled parking and access and amenities provided.

Fantastic experience: Mostly full of smelly hippies during the day boiling their dreads in the hot tub or passing out high in the sauna. The staff understand their clientele and seem to add additional chlorine to the pool as required. If you’re there before the school groups at 3:30 you can normally get a band-aid free lane for laps before cooling off with a refreshing 80 degree or nothing shower. Exactly what I want in a public pool.

Fantastic experience: I have a full pass which I think is great value as slightly less than $25 per week. I have unlimited access to the gym sauna, spa, indoor heated and outdoor pools, plus a wading pool for the littlies. There's two basketball courts and pool and sports centre showers. I think that's good value

Negative experience: I rang to ask if the outdoor pool was still open as weather is cooling down now. The man who answered the phone gave me a quick 'no it's closed' , started talking to someone at his end and just hung up on me!

Positive experience: I would love to see healthy food offered at the cafe. It's pretty dire at the moment. Other than that, it's a great centre to have. I love the outdoor pool as do my kids and the fitness classes are great.

Positive experience: This review is largely for the basketball courts available for use. The cost of using the courts is greatly appreciated, and the service of having them available is definitely greatly appreciated by many in the local area. They are, however, incredibly dusty and probably in need of resurfacing.
