Positive experience: Inconsistent staffing at Hurstville- one teacher was fine, another complained that she got nervous about us standing at the pool edge (our kids wated us there). Hurstville centre has advantages of kids showers, but the whole complex is over crowded, a sweat box and a bit depressing - (original (I assume) slide with fake cave is effectively boarded up - for goodness sake, pull the thing down!). We did finally get a place at Sylvania - less a sweat box, and no kids showers, with inconsistent teachers (1st one ok, but really had zero enthusiasm - he finished to do high school exams. the young women tutors were pretty good - especially lady who also manages San Souci operation). Sylvania closed shop probably due to issues with pool maintenance. Much happier with another operation now which has smaller pool just for kids.
Negative experience: I rarely write reviews, but the person I spoke with made me do this. I called to inquire whether I could still rebook the two make-up classes for my daughter, as she has been really sick lately. He could have simply answered yes or no, and that would have been fine with me. Instead, he laughed when I said my daughter was sick and even said, “Next time, you know what happens if you don’t attend.” It was very rude.

Positive experience: Great but could be better as the shower water is too hot. It triggered my sensitive skin making it red and itchy.
Positive experience: This place has got many issues. First is that BlueFit the operator can’t make repairs to the facilities without council approval. The facility is in a state of disrepair, everything from the lockers (where more than 50% are broken with the doors hanging off their hinges or the locking mechanism doesn’t work) to showers not working, the spas are closed more often than they’re open, the pool is rarely cleaned (one morning I counted 6 bandaids on the floor, just in my lane) They allow people to swim with tissues in their pockets which end up breaking down and floating in the water. The staff are just kids and have very limited customer skills. I was recently in the spa at 6.30am and a 93 year old lady had spent 15 minutes getting ready to get in, and about 2 minutes after she sits down, a young staff member turns off the spas and tells everyone to get out because he has to flush them! Imagine kicking an old lady out of the spa (and other members) that they are paying, for to do some maintenance that could have been done before anyone got there. This has happened to me multiple times, and they don’t care. When there are facilities that are out of order, there is ZERO communication from BlueFit. They don’t even bother to send an email or sms to let members know what is happening and offer some kind of compensation for the outage. They send surveys and promotions all the time, but can’t communicate when the facilities are down. I haven’t seen too many pigeons recently, but I once’s witnessed a pigeon nestling on someone’s towel while they were swimming. There’s pigeon poo all over the rafters on the roof, it’s not been cleaned in the 18 months I’ve been going there. The other poor thing they do is gurney the floor around the pool, and hose all the crap on the floor into the pool! It’s crazy. BlueFit aren’t to blame for all of this, but there’s some very basic things they could do to improve member experience.
Negative experience: Constant issues with communication and staff at reception following basic protocols such as ensuring outstanding payments made within the facility are actually reflected on account. Failure to do this from staff means the customer remains in arrears and blue fit demands you to pay TWICE with absolutely no resolution from head office, communication from staff has been subpar, no one knows how to rectify this problem and a single mother is left under unnecessary stress and a child who will have to miss out on swimming lessons due to the incompetency of staff at Hurstville bluefit facility. This is absolutely disappointing. Escalating to head office has had no benefit, infact staff at the facility continue to demand payment despite head office promising a resolution within 24 hours (72 hours have passed since) which also means that communication between head office and facility was not even made and my complaint was completely dismissed. Due to the failure of Bluefit to take my matter seriously or find a resolution, they have left me with no solution other than to take it up with fair trading.
Negative experience: I advise against getting a membership here if you want to swim after work. On weekdays between 3 and 7 pm, all but one lane are reserved for schools, leaving only one lane for slow lap swimming. I have complained about this, but they don’t seem to care. Their response is basically to come during dinner time or in the morning, when most people are working. This demonstrates very poor management, and I regret signing up.

Negative experience: Blue Fit’s management is blatantly negligent and lack awareness and the facility’s condition reflects it. The showers don’t work, and when they do, the water pressure is so low they’re unusable. The bathrooms lack adequate amount of anti-slip mats, have inadequate drainage, and pose a clear risk of falls due to constant standing water. High-traffic areas are visibly dirty compromising basic hygiene and safety. Including the steam room and sauna which have leftover debris, likely from dead skin. I reported these issues about the poor upkeep, unsafe conditions directly to management, and they did NOTHING but write a pathetic response and shirked their responsibilities to fix anything. The managements wilful ignorance on their own part shows they haven’t got the slightest clue to what providing a community service and facility is about. This isn’t just simple oversight, it’s a willful failure to meet even the most basic standards of running a pool. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and unacceptable. It’s not worth your time, money or effort. And good luck in getting the management listen to you - They didn’t to me.

Negative experience: Been a member for at least 10 yrs was always great with the best interests.of the members and instructors at heart. BUT over the last 5 yrs not sure what change in management has caused the current situation where instructors and good staff leave. Members are left scratching their heads classes are not replaced or replaced with no consultation to the participants and basically take it or leave it. Well leave it is not an ideal option as being part of this community for many years I have met many like minded people and we all enjoy working out together however now ALL the conversations are about class changed and instructors and no feedback is considered. Please can we be listened too because it's going on for far too long now

Negative experience: The facilities are good and spacious. However, it’s really frustrating when myself or my children try to swim in the fast lane to train and there are people in the fast lane who aren’t even kicking their legs. In the end. All three lanes- slow, medium and fast- end up being slow lanes and it makes it impossible to train. I really wish the life guards and staff would say something to the people swimming in the wrong lane.

Positive experience: The club is good what i really don’t like are the showers near the pool, they need a revamp and a bigger space to cater for the crowd.
Positive experience: The only place I can find that has a sauna . Prices and memberships are quite good. Also has soa and steam room and gym , classes . Heaps of parking. The only thing I will say is going into the sauna at night there is a culture of certain men that comment on woman once they walk out and are extremely vocal about their bodies and what they think. Quite discusting but I guess we have to put up with it as nothing has been done about it . Otherwise good place to come and staff are really friendly and helpful .

Negative experience: Went to bluefit with my son who has a membership and has swimming lessons weekly to supervise him have a swim. The manager Nick wouldn’t allow us inside without paying a fee when every other week we have had access to the aquatic centre outside of his lessons. Very bad customer service and spoke to us in a very rude and appalling manner. Never at bluefit for the past 3 years have I had an issue like this and am very disappointed with management.

Fantastic experience: Signed up for beginner classes - the teachers were really amazing in explaining how to swim and helping in each step. The classes were priced reasonable and free access over the entire week makes it easier to practice.

Negative experience: Swimming teachers are nice, but the customer service here is a nightmare. Receptionists are not helpful, rude and assume all the issues are customers’ problems. The customer service used to be good, here, but recently I have noticed the change that some receptionists I spoke to lack the basic understanding about the policies and not to mention a professional attitude. I am going to cancel our membership because of the disappointing customer service, although we’re going to miss the swimming teachers.

Negative experience: Even 1star is too much to give as our family has been with blufit swimming for almost 8 years with 2 children enrol to swimming lesson and also basketball lesson. We support and trust your facility so much until 2weeks ago. Our family left behind a bag of wet cloths with 2 set of everything on it and 2 prescription googles as well. We realised we left it and call next day, the staff confirmed has the chemist warehouse bag and name under my son jayden. We organise Pick up after 4 days and unfortunately they have donated our swimming equipment. This is just a command sense if the bag has name is mean belong to a family and why still donate it the whole bag cost us above $500 and no one get bag to me until now. The only answer is lost property is lost property they did not responsible for it.. but come one we call and bag has already got name on it and only 4days in the property. Shame on you after almost a decade long we have supported you and this what our family get. We should be compensated for our lost. I think is time for us to move on. I hope someone from facilities see this and contact me, and give me better explanation for it
Negative experience: Spa and sauna area were so crowded and no staff bother to control and check on so many people without waistband using the facility. The staff should supervise that area from time to time and it's unfair for people to pay extra for the facility should wait to use. Please improve the service as you increase the fee from July.

Our lifeguards are required to complete regular checks of these areas but as you can imagine this may be difficult to catch all offenders when handling the public and supervising the pools. Should you experience this again we would really appreciate it if you could let management know ASAP. This way we can follow it up quickly and have the sauna and spa back to a relaxing environment for you.

Negative experience: The customer service doesn't worth even one star. Spoke with them over the phone for 15minutes, gave them all my contact info, email address, phone number. Next day found they didn't contact me about cancelling my appointment because they didn't save my number Another thing. Be aware. They intentionally gave me incorrect info about swimming school transfer to make more money for the business.

Both of my children are enrolled in swimming lessons, and on more than one occasion, I’ve received follow-up calls from the team just to check in when the kids missed a couple of classes. Staffs are friendly and helpful. my only advice is extend the canteen opening hours, they always hurry closing up when it's not even 12:30, many kids are hungry after swimming. Positive experience: It's a big place. I'm only going for aquarobics and a spa or two and I can use a locker and have a week's trial. How cool is that? I met a lady who was helping me learn the different steps we were doing. Instructor pushed us and enjoyed his work, and it didn't hurt doing the exercises in the water, until I got out. The water invigorates. I'm going Monday and Tuesday see how I go.
