Fantastic experience: I mostly use the gym (Bluefit), which is well equipped and not too crowded, but have also used the pools many time over the years. 4 pool - and outside 25m pool with fairly new covered stand, 3 indoor pools , one for beginners, one for doing laps and sometimes a holiday bouncy thing, and one pool for all ages just to have fun. Has a snack shop, a spa pool and a sauna as well. Change rooms are modern and OK.

Negative experience: The map is totally wrong. Took an infant and drove all the way to the place turned out there’s no swimming pool at all.
Negative experience: Bluefit Lane Cove needs to re train their staff and management better. We have cancelled our daughters classes 3 weeks ago in person, and they said it's all done and cancelled and told us our last lesson's date and last day we can use their facilities. It turns out she didn't process the cancellation and that we had to fill out a form and wait for a callback. NONE of that was communicated to us and when we found out we were still getting billed for classes we haven't been attending, of course they refuse to back pay us.

Negative experience: Bluefit LANE COVE gone downhill since I joined a few years ago and I feel severely ripped off for renewing my membership at the beginning of the year (2024 $750 deal). Definitely not worth the money and the saying goes "you get what you pay for" rings true. The Bluefit app for booking classes is terrible, info about instructors holding the classes are not up to date so you turn up to a class expecting your favourite instructor only to find a different person holding the class (I've wasted my time many times turning up to a class and leaving mid way). Reformer Pilates used to be be good and that is one of the main reasons I decided to renew my membership. I used to pay an additional fee for Reformer classes which were held on weekdays late in the evenings and on weekends in the morning. Most of the classes are now virtual, no more real life instructors on the weekend and after hours on the weekday. If you're thinking of joining the gym because they have Reformer Pilates machines, DON'T BE SUCKED IN. Not worth the membership. Virtual cannot replace real life instructors. You do not know if your technique is wrong and it can actually be DANGEROUS especially if you are a beginner. It appears management don't seem to have members best interests in mind when it comes to getting rid of instructors for the Reformer Pilates classes, goal appears to be for cost-saving initiatives. They probably introduced virtual based on annual feedback where we wanted more Reformer Pilates classes but NOT virtual. Quantity does not equal quality! I WANT MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS AND THE SUB-STANDARD SERVICE. Oh also the women's toilets / change room in the indoor pool is disgusting.

I am sorry that you are frustrated and disappointed by your time at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre.Of course we understand the importance of instructor led Reformer Pilates classes and we do offer 7 of these each week that you are able to attend. I am glad that you note the elimination of the extra fees for Reformer Pilates. The virtual classes are an added benefit that many members find helpful. We also use this virtual technology in the Spin studio and main group exercise studio. These virtual classes are not instead of instructor led classes but supplement them.Thank you again for taking the time to give your feedback - Liam.

Negative experience: My child attends swimming classes at this centre. Their customer service and policies around makeup classes are poor. Today I logged into their portal find that my accrued makeup classes have been wiped completely.

Positive experience: I have been doing aquarobics here for 20+ years. Its a great set up, wish there were more classes! But a shout out to management, who increased the number of patrons for the Saturday aqua class from 30 to 45.

Negative experience: I’ve sent my 2 kids to Bluefit swimming at Lane Cove on-off for 5 years. 30 mins with max 4 kids per class, that’s 7.5 mins per kid. Each child swim in a lap the length of 5 strokes (kids less than 5), 8 strokes for older kids. No wonder after more than 2 years one child moved up 1 class, the other stayed the same and still afraid of water. I had to ask them and remind them when my child will be assessed after remaining in the same level for 1 year. It’s not my job to chase up about assessment. Not the teacher’s fault. They are not given enough time or attention span (if one child cries, their focus is distracted to the detriment of the other kids) to properly teach. Their business model favours quantity over quality. So you pay $24+ for <7min of effective swimming per week. We have moved our kids to another swim school. 1 month later, one is doing freestyle, the other is water confident and doing summersaults under water. The new swim school provides longer lesson time, and longer lap length. The difference is quite stark and we see the positive change almost immediately .

Positive experience: It’s a fair gym with average equipment which are usually in working condition. Helpful staff. Aquatic center is too crowded and not so clean.

Positive experience: Its ok as this is the only option better compared to others swimming center in the nearby of Chatswood living area, very crowded and the instructors have to be very mindful, regarding the assessment of the students as the parents need to keep on reminding them as it seems,there is no process, but overall its ok
Negative experience: Very bad management. There are no incentives for the instructors to get the kids to the next level in a reasonable time so that it can take more than a year to reach the next level. And when you finally reached it, it takes ages to get a new spot. And if someone skips the waiting line you are even waiting longer. I can absolutely not recommend this swim school.
Negative experience: Blufit has shown an appalling display at the Wollindilly leisure centre today, by removing all safety sighage and equipment including the vital defibrillator, in front of staff and patrons leaving the staff wondering how they will be able to run the centre safely for swimming lessons and other activities. For a large company to remove these items during working hours and not notifying staff of this arrangements is discusting behaviour. They have failed in the safety of all staff and patrons at the centre at the centre.
Fantastic experience: My son just graduated from his class and move up to the next level. Just want to say thank you to Miss Kate. She is very enthusiastic and well organised. My son loves her class and he is a bit sad to move.

Negative experience: Kids swimming lessons: We had our 2 daughters at Blue fit swimming for 3 years. There are good points such as a few great staff that we'll miss, great location and swimming pools but unfortunately the club is not following up on their success and staff rigidly treat us like numbers on a computer. It is short staffed, not organized and old school in the approach to customer service. Children are left in classes for much longer than they should for lack of assessment, high staff turnover loosing history of the child level, and lack of spots in higher levels. Children that have graduated have to stay in their class with no visibility of when they can actually move up giving them false hope for a second then kept hanging with no opportunity to swim at their level even during week day make up classes as "the system does not allow it". Even if we agree with staff that it is not fair to graduate a child and not deliver on the service they offer, Lane cove blue fit swimming preferred to loose 2 long term enrolments today rather than offer any other solution than what the system will allow. Their make up process is really unflexible and unfair which is quite frustrating when you see classes running at half attendance that you would have like your child to attend - eg: "you cannot take more than one make up a month even though you paid for these classes and there is availability", -" you cannot roll forward your make up classes from one level to the other", " you cannot book your child who graduated in their current level because they have not yet been "enrolled" in the level up and so on...). It is a big disappointment for us after all these years and patience.

There has been a lack of staffing at Lane Cove because a swim school around the corner has recently closed for the year and we have experienced an extremely high demand for swim school. Although this is not an excuse, it does unfortunately affect things like being short-staffed. Positive experience: Expansive, architecturally designed aquatic centre and fitness club. It gets quite busy in the peak hours, making it difficult to use the equipment as multiple units of the same equipment are not available on site mostly. Probably targetting off peak hours is a smarter way. Busiest hours would be 5-7 pm

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Wonderful crèche and staff. I left my new iPhone on the gym equipment and someone handed it in to the office and I’ve also left my Frank green water bottle around and someone handed it in too . I should probably stop leaving my stuff everywhere! Regardless lovely supportive gym goers and nice community vibe.

Negative experience: Never answer their phones or return calls. Just answering no service that times out. Hopeless customer service by phone. Nowhere to leave a formal complaint or formally request action.

Negative experience: Heard quite a few good things about Blue fit swimming so I signed my son up for lessons. He has been swimming at another pool simultaneously and I saw a slower progress here as the coaches were not challenging him as much. There were other kids in his lessons that clearly shouldn’t be in his level and needed a lot more attention and assistance. I tried calling multiple times to cancel weeks before we were due to travel, but no one ever picked up the phone. I left voice messages and no one ever got back to me. So ironic that the minute we left, someone called (on the same number!!!) chasing me for payment for the notice period lessons that we apparently now owe because no one got back to me to confirm my cancellation! It’s a real shame because we really liked the pool and the facilities and was open to coming back at a later stage for more lessons / swimming, but this really left a sour note.
Positive experience: I only use the swimming pool, not the gym at the moment. Good to get an early morning swim. The new outdoor heated pool is very good. Cost of a subscription is very reasonable.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff, l love the classes and pool area. Sometimes the sauna/spa is not working, and l wish the pool area floors were cleaner, but it's a lot of people, so l might be asking too much... That's actually not a big deal (I would just recommend tongues to walk there). Price wise, l would definitely rate 5.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym to work out at in the area by far. It's well-equipped, clean, with plenty of space and friendly staff. There's a good selection of fitness classes available at a variety of times. Also love the change room facilities which are similarly clean and well-maintained, with lots of lockers available to use. The staff and regulars have done a great job of establishing a welcoming and comfortable environment that I would recommend to anyone, from beginners to more advanced trainees.

Negative experience: Really disappointed in the service. in-between 7 lessons ,class instructor is changed for the 4th time!! What is child going to learn.We reported this issue before and were promised that last instructor will be a permanent one but I guess nothing is going to change,so I guess time to move to another place.

Positive experience: Upon enrolling our kids, the receptionist was super grouchy and curt, it took me by surprise. She really needs to work on customer service mannerism. We really like the pool and the other staffs - instructors, lifeguards, cafe staff, assessors, even the cleaners are friendlier. EDIT a year later. Still with Bluefit - no more curt front desk help Everyone is super helpful and caring. I have to say that this aquatic centre has been a gem for our local community. The new outdoor pool and extra facilities are amazing and we've been enjoying it very much. Great work Bluefit!

Negative experience: Contradictory and frustracted cancellation process! I called them in two weeks advance for cancellation and staff told me that I can cancel anytime and won’t be charge before the next payment date. I called again and the staff told me the same procedure. When I formally lodged my cancellation, the staff emailed me said, I will be charged for another two weeks for the two weeks’ notice policy. I am not sure why they do it, they can tell me for the first time, when I call them two weeks before and the policy, not misleading us and charged extra classes that we don’t need at all. When you called them and complained this, staff said sorry and cant refund. They said they can email me with credit for extra charge but I never received. During 5 months in Bluefit, instructors changed at least 10 times and quality of teaching varied a lot. You just get the trained instructor by luck. When you want to cancle, dont call them, lodge the form in my portal as early as you can!

Negative experience: Pool water is not clear , its disgusting when you put your head in the water. HAIR IS EVERYWHERE. There is no policy to make sure everyone using a cap. The changing room ( women's) and showers are so gross.

Fantastic experience: I’d like to express my great appreciation to the professional staff at BlueFit swimming centre esp. Bi bi Thong and Ally. I know your profession is in teaching people swimming but your calmness and your encouragement in dealing with cranky kids who refuse to jump into the water either due to fear or simply not being in the mood are unbeatable and has greatly relieved a mother’s stress thank you so much for your humbleness and your big smiles I’m 100% sure my kid is in good hands.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service and don’t ask for a tax invoice coz you’ll never get it...dodgy
Negative experience: experience with swimming centre reception-they dont even deserve a one star, if you ask something their response is rude and they say "'you have agreed and signed on the terms& conditions of the usage of the pool-pretty absurd'' they will never attempt to provide solutions"' Carlie was far better than Bluefit in many ways-thats why I could not see much crowd. If possible avoid going to Lancecove acquatic.
Negative experience: Poor group fitness schedule: - no short lunchtime classes - one very early morning class - one late evening class. This one is always full and difficult to get into. No online booking, so you never know whether you will get into a class until you get there. Annoying rules like can't get a ticket to get a class 3 minutes after class starts. Can't enter a class if youryo 5 minutes late. The reason given is that you need to warm up. But even if you have run there and are obviously warm, they don't let you in. A staff member told me that a kid poos in the pool at least once a week. Pool always has stuff floating in it.
Fantastic experience: It's wonderful to go to the BlueFit gym and with the additional possibility to use the pool, indoor and outdoor, it's a great place for training. I always find a free place for the workout and the staff is treating you personal. The help and introduction as well as setting up a training plan is great. I joined the gym with a very good offer and they were very honest with the conditions. The courses they offer are a great plus and all the participants there are speaking for themselves. Highly recommend this place. BTW running with the latest sports on screen is a great diversion to running outside.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in Lane Cove, the gym has a 25 metre indoor pool and 50 metre outdoor pool where you can slip in as early as 5.30am. The gym side of the health centre offers group fitness classes. My favourite classes on offer would be cardio boxing with Yani followed by the functional training (FX) Classes run by talented trainers such as Alex,Scott and Rita. FX classes are now available 6 days a week in the morning and a few times at lunch time and after work. The gym area has a good range of free weights and resistance machines. The atmosphere in the gym area is completely different to the other gyms in Lane Cove, it's a very lay back easy going environment with friendly trainers such as Isabelle helping people stretch and train. You won't find Gym Junkies or equipment hogs Taking weights off your machine mid set. The Centre is also handy for families, there is a free crèche service for members where you can drop off your child while you do a spin class. I also take my daughter to swimming lessons on Sunday's mornings. My daughter is progressing well and getting more comfortable in the water with every lesson. Swimming instructors Laura and Shaye have been amazing.
Positive experience: I signed up my wife here, the consultant was nice enough to inform that if she joined in 2 more days they will have new discount (she eventually applied the discount for us). Good bang for the buck, the pool access and the gym class themselves worth the money. If only they open earlier, have better gym area and equipments I would've join too.
Fantastic experience: Brand new gym (well renovation and relocation), full classes including aquatic classes. Pool access, sauna, spa and free crèche. Fantastic gym, only complaint is the change rooms for the pool.
