Fantastic experience: clean, safe, very nice

Positive experience: Good facilities & modern but way over crowded which is not a fault of the centre. This is what over immigration & over density from 3rd world countries does to a previously expensive area.

Negative experience: Facilities are great but all we wanted was a swimming assessment for nippers and we were sent away three times only to be told after that that unlike every other swimming centre they don’t do these assessments. Conflicting information all the time and VERY unhelpful staff. Lots of wasted time and frustration.

Negative experience: You guys better fix the information you provide over the phone. I was told that swimming pool is open and on arrival it turned out it’s closed.

Fantastic experience: Outdoor pool maintains it heat in winter! Early arrivers can stand inside out of the cold while waiting for the pool to open. Local council has free 3 hour parking across the street, open 24 hrs.

Positive experience: Great pool but need MUCH more availability of 50m for the public - at least 4 lanes at all times of day. At the moment it’s all about schools!!!!!

Positive experience: A great place for swimming though there is no on-site Cafe operating on the weekend any more. It is open during the week though.

Negative experience: I do my swimming lessons here and the pool is nice and cold. This change room are pretty clean and they provide hot water. Obviously they have a warm pool and a gym so you could work out.

Fantastic experience: Excellent heated indoor pool for winters, enjoy the steam bath and jacuzzi facilities too

Negative experience: I had a very unpleasant experience tonight. After finishing my swim around 7:50pm. I went to the women’s bathroom to shower. Just as I began washing, a woman outside the bathroom kept rushing me to hurry up. Since she was so insistent, I mistakenly thought she was a staff member and tried to finish quickly. However, when I exited the bathroom as fast as I could, I realised that the person rushing me was actually another customer, not a staff member. She gave me a ‘dismissive’ look, said ‘she’s gone’ to the front desk, and then walked towards the bathroom. Feeling confused, I approached the front desk to ask what had just happened. The girl explained that the woman’s locker was stuck, and she needed a male staff member to help, but male staff cannot enter the women’s bathroom while it is in use. While I understand the situation, I’m extremely disappointed with how it was handled. As a customer, my privacy and rights were not respected. The woman gave no explanation and instead forcefully hurried me out, which caused me significant discomfort. I hope management addresses the issue and ensure that customer feel respected and that such incidents do not happen again.

Fantastic experience: Great pools, indoor and outdoor, , very kid friendly. Feel very safe with my kids there. Staff are very helpful. Facilities clean and costs of entry are reasonable. Coffee could be cheaper.

Fantastic experience: I had been here doing adult classes for 3 years and progressed from beginner classes to adult stroke. Every coach n staff that I have ever met is super nice and friendly. They are always so patient and supportive. I’d call here home.

Fantastic experience: Water is too cold but aquatic classes great

Positive experience: The staff were respectful. The pools were clean. But sonas are smaller than usual sonas, it's designed for four people. Maybe because sona is not popular in Sydney!

Fantastic experience: I signed up for the year and loving the group activities with excellent facilitators. Seamless booking of classes and subjective feeling of benefit are a tonic. My second home!

Positive experience: The aquatic centre has large heated 25m pools. There are teachers which range from small children to advanced adults.

Negative experience: Lost Properties -If you leave your swimmer or shampoo any of your belongings here, you won't never get those back. reception said they don't keep wet products for hygiene reasons from the councils instruction. Quite unfriendly rules for users. I won't renew my pass at here.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing public facility: inexpensive to use and world class in quality. If they could fix the issues in the men's changing room for the gym (broken, vandalised, and antisocially misused lockers, stinking urinal, low shower water pressure sometimes, and poor overnight cleaning) then it would be close to perfect.

Positive experience: There’s been a 50 metre pool here at Lane Cove since 1961, but the flash new Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre bears no trace of the original at all. There have been so many upgrades: the biggest in 1998 and 2014 that added all the indoor pools, water play areas, spa, sauna, steam room and most importantly accessibility; culminating in the 2020 replacement of the Olympic pool with the shiny new one we experienced today for the first time. All those facilities don’t come cheap. Adult entry is $9.70, but the quality of all the architecture, design and fitout is definitely superior to most. We particularly liked the row of outdoor sun showers complete with a wooden bench to keep your towel dry. Fortunately some of the original grassed area and trees have been retained, making it a pleasant place in the middle of an increasingly built-up Lane Cove. Its Achilles Heel is an all-too familiar one: seven of the lanes were dedicated to lappies, with only one left over for everyone else. We’re so over this trend. Here of all places it seemed particularly inappropriate, as most of the people attending on a Sunday were families and kids, who would’ve had much more fun with some more room to move and play and, you know, recreate.

Positive experience: Great facility for family fun.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Can be busy at times, but it's big enough to keep you active.

Negative experience: 30 + persons waiting for yoga instructor to show up for 8am Sunday session. No show and after 10mins late they put the yoga video on. No explanation and no apology.

Positive experience: Amazing aquatic centre with inside & outside swim training pools with many mixed size, heat, depth, age group pools inside. Jaccuzi & sauna with showers & great changerooms. Kids swimming lessons & water aerobics can take up much of the pool space.

Negative experience: If you are looking to do laps in the pool, don't rely on the lane availability chart that's on the website. It's often wrong and they don't update it to reflect any changes that occur after the weekly schedule is produced. If you do refer to it, expect to have 3 lanes available when the chart indicates 8. Call before you go to check if any lanes are available.

Positive experience: The changing room is very small and not that clean - however the outdoor 50m pool is great. I wish it was open all year round. Coffee at the cafe is so so but the open spaces and grand stand are good

Positive experience: The indoor pool has a kids section which is nicely heated and great to splash around. They also have a dry sauna, steam sauna and a fairly large spa. Great for families!

Positive experience: Good outdoor lap pool, can be a little busy sometimes if you're trying to do laps. Also entry fee's are higher than some of the best pools in the City.

Positive experience: Lovely 50m pool but the change rooms are very poorly maintained. Swimmers have been waiting weeks/months for essential facilities (shower, power point) in the women's change room to be fixed, despite multiple complaints to management. So disappointing to see this wonderful community facility deteriorating so quickly.

Fantastic experience: Good aquatic centre, indoor and outdoor 500 m pools, large shallow pools area for kids, sauna, spa pool, large lawn for you to lay down and get some sun.

Positive experience: I comehere often as I swim and also teach swimming here. The changerooms are relatively clean and the pools are not too bad.

Negative experience: Went there for the spa, sauna and steam room. All three were out of action. Maybe update your website to avoid disappointing customers.

Positive experience: Acceptable swimming pool but quite a number of pools were closed to the public because of swimming lessons. Children friendly. Family-oriented pool.

Positive experience: 5 stars for value for money. Its not your fanciest gym, and gets a bit busy, but the pools are lovely and well maintained, the gym has got everything u need and is open 24 hours, and there are a good variety of group fitness classes. Im told its good for kids too.

Negative experience: super hungry and really hanging for a chicken snitzel wrap only to find they were evicted from the menu as were other things going by what was in the cold display there were empty boards gosh times have changed I could say more and if you wish to discuss I am happy to i don’t feel that airing this on this review is appropriate friend purchased coffee(2stars) and i was about to purchase a limited ice(s)cream but was unable to get into the freezer as it was broken

Fantastic experience: Fun swim location for families, has a seperate family swimming pool area that starts with a smaller under 5s area then is roped off and leads into the bigger “no unoccupied children under 6” zone. Doesn’t have a splash slide zone, but does have smaller jets, a little jet tunnel and two overhead jet shower heads into the pool. Been a few times when in Sydney and definitely a good pick for indoor heated pool. They have a bigger indoor pool and a outdoor pool as well , cafe inside and grass space outside. The little shop at the entry also sells some pool gear including goggles and pool toys. Would Recommend

Negative experience: I usually bring my son here for swimming class.The floor is always dirty, and if I want to talk with my son, I have to yell, otherwise we can’t hear each other.

Fantastic experience: Best gym ever, I work out hard, get stoned in the parking lot, eat korean chicken and then relax in the jacuzzi while chatting to nice people

Positive experience: It was fabulous me and my friends desided to start a whirlpool and a bunch of kids joined us all out a really good place for teaching your kids to swim or practice or just chill

Positive experience: Update, (+ 2years) thank you for your response, is the centre able to put up signs (or something) above chairs/seating area's? The entitlement of (some, but a lot) of the guests is next level. Maybe a quick walk around once an hour (in peak times) to move items to the ground to help change the culture that's bags don't have more rights than humans. Good centre, it's a shame people seem to think chairs are for bags and equipment. Management need to address this. Chairs are for humans not bags!

Positive experience: I went there for the sauna and the steam room. Excellent for the cheap entry fee. A few more chairs and some sun lounger would be great

Fantastic experience: Bit of a hidden gem, I came for a swim and to get some sun on a hot day simply because I was too lazy to drive to the beach. $9 entry, decent parking in the area, a nice grass spot and renovated showers you kinda can’t ask for much else as a beach substitute.

Negative experience: Incompetent management: happened repeatedly that I turned up to swim, after consulting the published lane availability on-line, only to be kicked out in a few minutes because the whole pool is booked out. Various managers then apologise unreservedly with assurances that it will never happen again. Staff is otherwise great and facilities are ok. Card # 'BL209935'

Fantastic experience: A fantastic place for kids to splash around safely. BlueFit swimming school is also excellent, my daughter loves her teachers Liz & Neive!

Fantastic experience: Lots of pools for exercise or playing with the kids, a large gym upstairs, and a cafe with good food and drinks. Big parking lot nearby helps too.

Fantastic experience: Great pools for fitness and to keep the kids happy. Probably a bit busier than I would prefer but think that’s probably due to the other pools on the north shore undergoing upgrades.

Fantastic experience: Great sauna until they disallowed adding water to the rocks. That's what a sauna is made specifically with the purpose of doing.

Negative experience: Front desk staff member who was on duty on 14.05.2021 around 5.15 pm( short haired lady)was unfriendly and not helpful. Didn't show any interest in helping out with the situation. A little bit of enthusiasm would have being nice!

Negative experience: I don't have a good experience from this center when I used from spa, steam room was very dirty, hot tab does not have enough pressure and shower’s nozzle installed for everyone who less than 165 cm

Positive experience: I like it there a lot as a local, but it can be quite busy sometimes and the steam room would benefit from a renovation. Said that, it's a very good value for money.

Negative experience: Floor of the pools are slimy. Unisex toilet shower is broken. Mould on the shower doors. Box of chips at the cafe took more than 20 minutes despite the line being fairly short. Come on lane cove aquatic centre... You can do better!

Negative experience: We had our 2 daughters at Blue fit swimming for 3 years. There are good points such as a few great staff that we'll miss, great location and swimming pools but unfortunately the club is not following up on their success and staff rigidly treat us like numbers on a computer. It is short staffed, not organized and old school in the approach to customer service. Children are left in classes for much longer than they should for lack of assessment, high staff turnover loosing history of the child level, and lack of spots in higher levels. Children that have graduated have to stay in their class with no visibility of when they can actually move up giving them false hope for a second then kept hanging with no opportunity to swim at their level even during week day make up classes as "the system does not allow it". Even if we agree with staff that it is not fair to graduate a child and not deliver on the service they offer, Lane cove blue fit swimming preferred to loose 2 long term enrolments today rather than offer any other solution than what the system will allow. Their make up process is really unflexible and unfair which is quite frustrating when you see classes running at half attendance that you would have like your child to attend - eg: "you cannot take more than one make up a month even though you paid for these classes and there is availability", -" you cannot roll forward your make up classes from one level to the other", " you cannot book your child who graduated in their current level because they have not yet been "enrolled" in the level up and so on...). It is a big disappointment for us after all these years and patience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent pools. Suitable for babies and children with 0.5m to 1 m pool. Clean and good water quality. It also has sauna, steam room and hot water pool.

Positive experience: Nice pool for little kids. I found the water was a bit cold but my son didn't seem to mind. I wish they let kids use the hot tub to warm up.

Positive experience: Short of staff always and only a very limited number of senior stuff, some teachers are not trained well enough on how to work with young kids. A short 30mins class sometimes feel like only can be properly utilised if you are lucky enough to be assigned with a senior’s swimming teacher. When the class is full (4 kids), your child will probably only get to swim for 5 mins total during the class time. A lot of waiting and looking at each kids to fix their goggles constantly.

Positive experience: Great place for kids and the facilities are top notch. I can't give 5 stars because their portal for swimming lessons suck and they don't pickup the phone when you try to call them! Pretty basic stuff, please look into it!

Fantastic experience: So much fun for all ages and a coffee shop in there too

Negative experience: The Aquatic Centre is fine but this is a review of the cafe. Maybe it's a one off but the staff member I had the displeasure of dealing with was bored and dismissive, answering in single syllables and generally unhelpful. The menu on the screen above the cafe is black printed on blue and small font - very hard to read. No printed menues or a printed menu on a board, eye-level. And as mentioned, a very uninterested staff member with a couple of others just hanging around, not engaging with customers. Also, very basic menu, no healthier options, no condiments apart from ketchup. Really disappointing, will not waste my money here again - better to grab some food from one of the lovely cafes in Lane Cove and bring in with you.

Fantastic experience: Great place for families or just wanting a swim or workout. The pool is lovely and warm. Staff are friendly. There's a creche as well which is amazing and very convenient. Very happy to recommend this place.

Negative experience: Be careful when your kids swim in the indoor 25m pool. Recently there is a woman swimmer in the slow lane at around 12pm to 1:30pm on Saturdays. She targets Asian kids only. Yells at kids like "no jumping". Actually some kids just walk to the edge of the pool. She even talks to them separately like "the pool is not for kids" when kids are away from parents. The woman is about 55yo. She wears glasses and she is fat build. Her head keeps above the water when swimming. I and other parents complained about her to pool staffs but nothing changed.

Negative experience: Have been taking my 4 year old son to first laps lessons for well over 12 months here. He has made very little progress due to ongoing staff changes/ lack of staff/ lack of consistency. This is despite bringing this up with supervisors and management on a number of occasions. At $25 per lesson there has not been value and I have now ceased his enrolment. I understand there may be staff shortages however these should be notified. Overall it's been very disappointing.

Negative experience: Very poor swimming classes. I’m sure there are some good teachers but my overwhelming experience has been completely unsatisfactory. My son has gone there for years and results are shocking. Having observed the teachers he’s had they are unmotivated and mechanical with little care. A waste of time and money. Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: One of the best aquatic centres I've been to Sydney. I'm an avid swimmer and move quite regularly. This centre offers a wide range of classes, has a gym and multiple pools, which meets the needs of people from all ages. I love this centre and go atleast 3 times a week.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy going to the Lane cove aquatic centre from the gym to the various gym classes, including Barre, Zumba and Pilates. Aqua aerobics is really popular and they put on extra classes as it’s a community gym which is great to see them focusing on keeping the community healthy. there is also brand-new outdoor 50 meter pool with grassy banks and in summer It’s a great place to spend the day and a great little cafe to catch up with friends after a swim. And with the parking opposite, it’s really easy to access. I feel very lucky we have this place in Lane Cove.

Positive experience: Nice pools. Changing rooms are messy. Instructers some are very good, some are not. The structure n customer service is poor on follow ups thus the rating.

Positive experience: Warm, toddler friendly pools. Plenty of life guards on duty. Cafe inside as well to buy food though The Canopy is less than 5 minutes away as well. Our son had a ton of fun here.

Negative experience: It is a great facility with poor management , normally showers are not clean with doors and locks are broken. I use the facility for swimming lessons of my son in the last 2 years, you better off to take your kids to another location for age between 3 to 5 . Teachers are not experienced, there are few exceptions but you should be lucky to meet some good teacher there. There no assessment for kids to show if they improved or not , you see weeks after weeks unexperienced teachers focus on the same trainings over and over without any results. It should be OK to spend a day in the leisure pool.

Fantastic experience: Loved attending this gym! All the class instructors are incredibly friendly and motivating. There's a great variety of classes on the timetable which can easily be booked via the Bluefit app. The facilities are kept nice and clean. There's also a parking lot across the road which provides 3hrs free parking

Fantastic experience: An underrated aquatic center. Fantastic revamped spa (triple jacuzzi), sauna and outdoor pool, clean toilets, enough changing rooms, great shallow pool area for kids and free for all floating devices. Free parking garage straight in front of it, connecting to Lane cove shops, all within walking distance. The gym facilities are great too, in a bright floor with pool view. Great annual membership offers too. It would be nice to organise some kids play events, a water carnival, big floating mats or so, etc. A slide is literally the only thing missing, but oh boy are we all spoiled. Very happy to be a member!

Positive experience: Staff at all levels were pleasant and helpful. The swim lanes can be crowded depending on day and time of visit. Spa pool, sauna and steam room are excellent for after swim relaxation. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic facility, with friendly and professional staff. My daughter does her lessons here and she's made tremendous and fast progress, and afterwards she loves to play in the fun kiddy pool for hours. A small kiosk provides basic food and drinks at a reasonable price, with a nice balcony terrace perfect to eat it on in nice weather.

Positive experience: My boys gave it 3 and 5 stars averaging 4 stars. Play pools were fun for the kids, the steam room included in entry and floatation toys available. The cafe could be quicker with orders, I think the attendant was on break, and another indoor lane would be good for the punters instead of the swim schools especially on Saturday afternoons. Nice facilities.

Positive experience: Everything is great about this place. There are two big 50m Olympic Size swimming pools. A Massive kids play area and a instructions and lessons pool for kids. The dressing rooms are well maintained and clean. Everything is good apart from the instructors changing frequently

Fantastic experience: Love this centre for its kiddy pool. Kids pool is large and has multiple little sections so you’re not crowded in with all the other kids and parents. I’ve taken my five month old several times now and we’ve always had a good time. Staff have been friendly (not much need for interaction, but friendly all the same). Multiple spaces for changing a baby before/after a swim and nice big change rooms. Centre seems clean.

Positive experience: Too many kids. Even after their classes end, they stay in the "available" swimming lanes and are still being taught to swim, their speed measured, race with other kids etc. So the 2 available lanes in the evenings get very crowded. Especially when one of them is usually for exercise. That's in the indoor 25m pool. Outdoor 50m pool is a bit more available. But on the sunny hot weekend day, again gets crowded, kids swim wherever they want. They sometimes have 2 lanes merged for a "play lane". But patents ignore those and swim with their kids in the swimming lanes too. The showers next to outdoor pool ate nice. And not too busy. But the inside ones are always dirty, kids are always screaming. Not a relaxed time after the spa as I wish it was. Gets quiter after 8:50pm, (closes at 9).

Fantastic experience: Have been going here since the mid 90s. The most recent renovations make a big difference. There's plenty of seating, storage if you need a locker, 4 x pools: - Kids fun pool - Kids swim pool - 25m indoor pool - 50m outdoor pool that's heated in the colder months Men's change room is a little small compared to other pools but apart from that I love it.

Fantastic experience: Clean, good amenities and pretty easy to find a fast lane even on a weekend. I do try to go later in the evening to avoid the rush though.

Positive experience: Overall great place for everyone. Been going there over 2years now. Gym facilities are good if you don't use the locker or shower, loads of classes to attend. Most of the electronic lockers are not working, water pressure so low that they are still fixing it. Indoor Swimming pool area is clean, don't be picky with the shower/ toilet because they do get used a lot while day. Outdoor area is lovely and setup is wonderful with Cafe area. Floor staffs at entrance and the indoor swimming pool areas are mostly young without much customer service training.
