Negative experience: I’m a member of Oberon gym, and would like to share a very disappointing experience I had last week regarding hygiene, safety, and customer service. When I arrived at the gym, the floor was covered with a significant number of bugs. While it is unfortunately not unusual to occasionally see bugs in this gym, the situation last week was far beyond what can be considered acceptable, especially in an environment where health and safety standards should be strictly maintained. I politely reported the situation to the manager on duty, Sharon. She informed me that nothing could be done, stating that even if the area were cleaned, the bugs would return. Another younger staff member kindly offered to clean the floor, but this offer was refused by the manager. Despite trying to continue my workout, I felt extremely uncomfortable due to the conditions. I then politely asked for the contact details of the director, as I believed that if the manager was unable or unwilling to address the issue, it should be escalated. At this point, the manager’s attitude became rude and unprofessional. She told me that if I was unhappy with the bugs — which appeared to be small cockroaches — I could clean them myself, and then abruptly closed the door, ending the conversation. This response to a health and safety concern is deeply concerning. If this is how such issues are handled, it raises serious doubts about how other matters are managed. As members, we are paying for a service, and basic hygiene and respectful communication should be a given. The argument that cleaning is pointless because the area may become dirty again is not reasonable and cannot justify inaction. I believe it is unacceptable to find the gym in the condition I encountered last week, and even more unacceptable to be spoken to in such a manner by a manager.

Negative experience: The manager was very rude and unhelpful. I arrived at 8:58, and apparently staff hours are until 9:00. The receptionist was in the process of selling me a day pass when she told him he could not sell it because it was already 9:01.

Negative experience: Staff members leave voice messages on disabled clients phones bagging them and other gym members out, calling them a range of names and mocking them.

Negative experience: The only gym I’ve gone to that doesn’t want people to sign up, been multiple times and been asked to leave as I wasn’t a member. But they wouldn’t let me sign up unless I came back 5 hours later (third time this has happened)

Please know that we love welcoming new members and genuinely want everyone to feel part of our community. Our staffed hours are clearly listed on our website and signage, and during these times our team is available to assist with memberships, tours and questions. Unfortunately, outside of these hours, our team isn't available to process sign-ups or provide access, which is likely what you experienced. We understand this can be disappointing and will take your feedback on board as we continually look for ways to improve the experience.

Negative experience: Staffed hours are wrong and posted signage is misleading and incorrect staying that staffed hours are from 3pm even though there is nobody there to let you in for most of that time

Fantastic experience: My Instructor is Calm, Cool and Collected, He has my goals in mind and allows me to gain confidence in the Cardio, Casthinetics areas. Has also guided myself towards Nutritional Values as i am very much a person that will only digest certain food groups in relation to the Glycemic Index Chart. I would have no hesitation in recommending the people of the Oberon Community and Surroundings if you haven't already done so to have a chat to the friendly instructors that know there craft like the back of there hand. Find out how they can assist you in reaching your goals. Don't delay Graduate today

Negative experience: For the love of God I'm just trying to be consistent with my health and routine but every time I go most of the time it isn't even staffed I have a membership that I pay for and yet no way to enter the gym without help from others. At least try to open and close on time for once and dont get up at me for being there when your never there
