Our comment from FitFit Australia about Casey RACE:
Casey RACE is a renowned sport and aquatic facility located in Australia, offering a wide range of services for individuals and families alike. Visitors often praise the center's excellent swimming pools, spacious gym, and friendly instructors, who contribute to a motivating atmosphere for all fitness levels. The facility features a variety of pools, including a hydrotherapy pool, and offers group fitness classes that cater to different interests and abilities.
Many families appreciate the engaging children's area, where kids can splash around and have fun while adults utilize the gym and wellness facilities. The onsite café serves a selection of healthy food options and accommodates visitors looking to refuel after their workouts.
However, feedback from some users indicates areas for improvement. Reviewers have mentioned cleanliness concerns, particularly in the changing rooms and pool areas, as well as the need for better maintenance of certain facilities like the spa and showers. Additionally, there have been reports of inconsistent staff attitudes, with some patrons expressing dissatisfaction with customer service.
Despite these criticisms, the overall sentiment remains positive, with many users highlighting Casey RACE as a fantastic place to swim, exercise, and socialize. The center is continuously working on enhancements to improve the experience for all visitors.
Casey RACE: Opinions
Negative experience: This review is only for the cafe here....it has got to be the worst run cafe I have ever seen!! No hot food available at lunch time no ready to go food and a severe shortage of staff that leaves customers waiting to be served for up to 20 minutes and then you have to wait 30 minutes after that for your food to ready!
Hi Michelle, thank you for your feedback, our Café staff cook and prepare food to order so we can serve fresh to our customers. We had an increase in visitation during the school holiday period however will take your feedback on board.
Positive experience: Nice big pools, good instructors.
Negative experience: Cancel the membership on reception, 2 months later still they been charging me, don't set-up direct debit
Hi Hamid, We apologise for any inconvenience this situation may have caused. We can confirm that we have credited the appropriate amount to your account. If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.
Positive experience: The showers and changerooms could be cleaner at times. The pool is good. The spa should be maintained better. Overall its a good place exercise
Thank you for your feedback, we will follow up with our staff to ensure the change & shower are maintained to a cleaner level. In regard to the spa jets, we are working with the contractor team to repair the spa jets in the pool.
Fantastic experience: I have been here since my daughter was born and loved it. HAVE A GOOD SWIM
Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for years and literally can not fault it!
Hi TJ, we're thrilled to hear you've been loving your visits here for so long. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Negative experience: Don't waste your money here...rather spend extra at PARC. Not enough tubes for slides staff saying they are popped...if they popped they can go and replace them seeing all the cost for membership isnt going anywhere. They don't even have any staff to watch the pools properly.
Hi Daniel, we apologise for the temporary unavailability of double rafts for our water slide. We are in the process of acquiring new rafts and are currently awaiting their delivery.
Negative experience: Came to the pool last weekend, found to have sand like substances on the bottom of the pool and other bits and pieces of materials floating around. Disappointed as being a public pool expected cleanliness l. Very unhygienic.
Hi Andray, thanks for bringing this to our attention, we apologise for the experience you had at our pool. We will address this with our staff to ensure thorough cleaning of all pool areas, including the pool floor.
Fantastic experience: Thanks for the warm pool water, kids are having lots of fun and enjoying their swimming lessons and time in the warm water.
Hi Randeep, thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear that your children are enjoying their swimming lessons and having fun in our pool.
Negative experience: Rude staff They make up rules and won't let you in the gym, even though you pay for a 24 hour membership. I have sent emails without any response either Won't be returning This used to be a great place, unfortunately it's not like that anymore.
Thank you for your feedback. We take all member concerns seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We understand your frustration regarding access to the gym and lack of communication. Let us clarify a few points:1. Our Women's Nights program runs every Saturday evening from 8:15 to 9:45 PM, during which time the centre closes at 8 PM. This information is available on our website and through signage at the facility.2. We strive to inform all members about this schedule, especially those who sign in after 7 PM on Saturdays. We apologise if this wasn't communicated to you.We value your membership and would like to address your concerns. Negative experience: Went to go by there chips, very pricey for a small cup of chips, ice cream was got dam 6 dollars, used to be around $3-4 now $6. Unbelievable
Negative experience: The staffs are very rude and they don’t even care about swimming lessons. I don’t recommend it to anyone else.
Negative experience: Take money out of your account without authority and expect you to be okay with waiting 5-10 business days to have it returned. Disgusting company.
Hi Jamee, we apologise for the inconvenience you experienced. Our team has been in contact with you regarding this issue and has processed a refund to your account within 5 business days. We appreciate your patience and feedback, if you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our customer experience team directly.
Fantastic experience: This is Dhanushiya Balakrishnan, I would like to huge Thanks to Kerry Wainwright. She was very helpful for my two boys Nikhil Sivarasa and Kenriek Sivarasa. They been Swimming over a year in a same level, so I contacted many times to Casey regarding level up for my kids no one gave me the proper response. By God’s grace I just moved to Kerry’s class she assessed them and asked the management to move them up. Parents like me we need teachers like Kerry Wainwright. She is amazing teacher and she helped parents beyond her level. Actually she deserves an award from Casey Race. This is my humble request. This is might encourage her to keep amazing job in Casey Race. We really need teachers like Kerry Wainwright. Many Thanks
Thank you so much for your kind words, Dhanushiya! We’re thrilled to hear that Kerry made such a positive impact on your boys' swimming progress. We’ll make sure to pass along your feedback to her!
Negative experience: I'm not usually the type of person who is a Karen but this place is absolutely rancid the females change room is covered in cockroaches I even got some on my clothes as I had a shower! I can't believe that state of the bathroom it's got black mold on there roof and it's utility disgusting would recommend that they need to do a deep cleaning before i come back again!!
Negative experience: They like to kick males out of the gym, the reason they gave was its women's only..... not once was this mentioned during the sign up process.... I'd rather spend my money at a facility who values its customers who are keen to attend the gym not just take your money and kick you out. Wouldn't recommend coming here. Staff were rude about the situation.

Positive experience: The showers in men's change room are cold, the so called warm exercise pool is cold, the sauna and steam rooms are not up to heat till an hour after opening. Only 50% of the spa jets are operational at any one time. Forget about getting a lap lane between 3.30 and 5.30, 4 lanes for squad training and 3 lanes for swimming lessons, only 1x 25 meter lane to share. Changing review to 3 stars due to minor improvements.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the sauna and steam room. We have followed up with our staff to ensure they are turning on the equipment as soon as possible to ensure the rooms have times to heat up. We're also working with contractors to repair the spa jets in the pool. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Negative experience: I don't want to give a star if I can. It's terrible. This place. Not recommended
Negative experience: Dumb ! No class ! Today work up 5.30 am to attend gym, and reached there lady Cristina who was at the door said this is closed now , I said I have 24/7 access, but this lady told me it’s mentioned on the other side of the door that . Didn’t I see it? How dare this lady thinks I see this sign from my home at 5.30 am if not been informed by a email or text. Why this whole service is run by Morans? Where you go there it’s like a third world country gym, ripped bench tops, broken machines , smelly disgusting shoulder supporting spongers , and if you don’t see any appropriate machines to do your workouts don’t be surprised, they all planned by stupid instructor who have never been to USA or Europe . This is a total disaster for the Casey area . At least Casey ark has some good machines better than this filthy Moran run gym. 1. Except very few, less than 3-4 have no quality as receptionists 2.Equipments are very old fashioned good for people who haven’t seen and used European or American gyms in their lifetime 3.Gym staff also should workout and maintain a good posture, most of the time they are leaning to a bench or someone who is using machines chatting like parrots 4. No one bothered about messy and misbehaving members , in the nights you might have to workout with some crazy people, I don’t know if these people send by clinics( sometimes they are working out in the mornings too) 5.overall there is no vibe in this whole building, I think it’s staff who can make the difference, if they know how to smile, talk and behave like American things will be better 6. Guys please clean the toilets, the waterless cleaning system is sucks, if you go there in the night around 10 pm you will vomit, most disgusting toilets in whole Victoria
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your input and will consider it as we strive to enhance our programs and services.
Positive experience: The facilities are good, but the air and water in the pool area is just too cold with little kids!!
Thank you for bringing the air and water temperature issues to our attention. We experienced problems with our air handling system in the pool area, which affected the overall temperature. We're pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved, and temperatures have returned to normal.
Negative experience: New staff at reception poor no nothing no at all's ask them to check details wouldn't alwell jokes on them just lost 6 members ships new company haha jokes on them moving forward bound to loose morecall me if want
Negative experience: I bought an annual membership for swimming here, and it has always been great. Yesterday, when I went swimming, I noticed that the water in the regular pool was a bit murky, but I didn't think much of it at the time. I swam for half an hour, then spent ten minutes in the sauna. That evening, after I got home, red itchy bumps appeared on my lower legs, and I couldn't sleep the whole night because of the itching.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We take pool maintenance and cleanliness very seriously, and our pools are regularly tested to ensure they meet all health department requirements. To address your concerns and investigate this further, could you please email us at [email protected]?
Negative experience: For swimming lessons classes I’m not recommending Casey race they have not enough teachers I’m son doing from 2yr swimming class here from long time but still no process the lady who head of swimming lesson in Monday she is so rude and put all kids in one place for long time she does not care about the kids I request Casey race change her because too many parents had problems with her
Thank you for your feedback on our swimming lessons. We are committed to ensuring that there is sufficient staffing in all areas and are actively monitoring the progress of all students in our program. To better assist you, could you please provide us with your contact details via email at [email protected]
Negative experience: This place is a disgrace and poor customer service. I cancelled my swimming classes well ahead as my baby was sick. At the time the staff said I can rebook the make up classes but when I try to call them for make up lessons my access was denied coz I do not have active contract. I was given false information initially by the staff and I lost paid class. Poor poor customer service giving false information ! absolute disgrace.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologies for this misunderstanding and will contact yourself promptly to resolve this matter
Negative experience: I'm extremely disapointed about how Casey RACE turned out to be for my daughters swimming lessons for school. First of all she got stuck in a group with a strict and rude teacher. She kept yelling at her group. She yelled at a girl for accidently pinching her and then she didn't give any breaks to them at alll, while the other groups teacher was extremely nice. She isn't able to hold her breath for like 10 seconds. And the fact that she has to put her head in the water without breathing. I don't care about your rules, expecially when my daughter and her friend couldn't breath at all. She also heard complaints about other people quitting leraning how to swim just because of her. She had the most terrible time ever.
Thank you for your feedback on our swimming lessons. We take this matter seriously and will thoroughly investigate further.
Negative experience: Today the baby pool was the hottest in the entire centre. The rest of the pools were freezing. All the kids water activities are run down and barely work. The tipping bucket never seems to be on. A bit of a let down when the kids want to go and have fun but there is just a freezing pool available.
Thank you for your feedback. We have recently experienced issues in relation to pool temperatures, which has since been resolved. Unfortunately, our tipping bucket is out of order until further notice due to ongoing issues. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like to discuss your concerns further.
Positive experience: Really enjoy going here to swim laps. Not too busy most days. Sauna nice and big. Downfalls, no free lockers to use with membership, that i could find. Spa temperature has been too low for the last couple of weeks which is disappointing. Everyone notices it and talks about it. I end up going to casey arc because their spa is nice and hot. They need to fix this.
Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoy attending our facility. We offer complimentary lockers for our members. On your next visit, please see one of our friendly reception staff for assistance. There was a previous issue with the spa heating that has now been resolved. If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact us at 03 5990 8600 or [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Great venue for swimming and getting fit.
Negative experience: Very limited classes and cancellations with no notice or compensation. You're paying for the maintenance of the pool. They don't care about group fitness classes or what members want.
Hi Nicole, we are sorry to hear that you find the timetable of classes does not meet your needs. We regularly assess the timetable and make decisions based on class attendance, instructor availability and member surveys. We always attempt to send communication to those that regularly attend a class as soon as we know it has to be cancelled and cancelling a class is of course always a last resort.
Positive experience: Good venue for various activities. Large swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, spa plus kids pool and toddler play area. There is also gym with paid access. Two waterslides open at 12pm on a Sunday. One is weight limited to 136kg and the other to 150kg. Cafe also didn't open until midday either.
Negative experience: Arrived today on a cold rainy day. We went into the kids pool but after 20 mins our 2 year old was shivering the pool seemed very cold. So we decided to go to the warmer pool only to be kicked out 1 min later and was advised it was because the child might splash..... (the 2 year old isn't too water confident and clings on for dear life) we went to make a complaint at the counter only to be told that's their policyz and the kids pool is only 2 degrees different which it was clearly not. Their options we were were "go get a medical certificate to allow the toddler in the warmer pool" or leave...... what a exclusionary disappointing company the staff had no compassion and were quite rude. Warning to parents with younger children this place probably isn't for you on a cold day.
Hi, your feedback is appreciated and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our warm pool policy restricts children aged 1-16 without medical advice, this policy is in place as the warm water pool is intended to be used for gentle exercise and rehabilitation customers. We regret if our staff's response seemed insensitive as creating a welcoming and safe environment for families is our priority. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Positive experience: The change rooms on the pool deck need urgent renovations. They become very dirty very quickly. Considering the building is government owned I think we deserve change rooms that are big enough for the increase in population in Casey. I use the family change rooms or gym change rooms in busy times which is every night or weekend. When you see the quality of the gym change rooms it's like your in a different building. The Casey council has plenty of money to provide this urgent renovation. The change rooms can only cope with 8-12 people at a time and considering Clyde north has 40,000 people alone I think that's enough reason to increase the size of the change rooms. Parc in frankston has quite large change rooms Casey race needs similar built. The management controls the cafe food to force customers to not drink high sugar drinks but it serves potato cakes and dim sims. It's very strange the coffee is good and most staff are always willing to have a chat.
Thank you for your feedback, we are currently working with contractors regarding upgrades to the change rooms. More information to come.
Negative experience: Casey race needs some serious maintenance done on it as it is a disgrace, took a client there today who needed a wheelchair to access the pool and out of the three they had only one was working, the other 2 were broken, and as for facilities for the disabled, they only have one changeroom for the disabled, what a joke. When you have multiple groups coming in to use the facility you need more than one room. Something needs to be done.
Thank you for your feedback, the contractor that services the wheelchairs has been waiting for a delivery of parts. It is anticipated the contractor will be onsite next week to repair the wheelchairs. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Negative experience: This place is disgrace. We’re paying for service that don’t work . The Hydro pool, sauna, spa & showers, just don’t work properly. Constantly out of order. A broom needs to be put through the current management team. A new professional dedicated team needs to be employed too manage these public facilities. How much does the place turnover, and what does it cost to run?
Hi Jerry, we understand your frustration and appreciate your patience as we work together with contractors for upgrades and corrective maintenance. Our team do their best to keep the facilities open and to provide the best services to the community, we apologise for any inconvenience.
Negative experience: What a joke. Hottest day of summer so far and the kids pool was closed with no explanation,so all the lessons and kids were in the main pool as well as normal swimming lanes open that no one was really using. Also squad classes were using a lot of the deep pool.As a result several hundred people were packed in to one side of the pool like 'sardines' . Going to Frankston from now on..
Hi Brendan, we understand your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience. Our team did their best in hopes to have the pool safely re-opened, unfortunately some pool closures happen beyond our control. Please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to organise a complimentary family swim pass for your family's next visit.
Negative experience: Absolutely hopeless place for kids to learn swimming. I sent my two kids there and after 9 months they have made little to no progress with the same feedback from teachers. Each week I see the swimming teachers standing and making kids swim without properly teaching the fundamentals or helping them improve on their weakness. Moving to Splash as they appear to be 100 times better. If you want to waste your money send them to casey race.
Hi Praneel we're sorry to hear about your experience. We value your feedback and are committed to improving our teacher training and skills to enhance experience and learning for our learn to swim students.
Negative experience: Today I was very disappointed. I attended this centre today with my 3yo son and paid as normal. I walked through to find there was absolutely nowhere at all for him to have a swim. I was advised that we would have to wait 45mins for an opportunity to swim by the lifeguard but the gentleman at the desk advised its not. My question is why would there not be someone managing the capacity of the centre and why would the centre still be taking payments if the centre is at full capacity. I was refunded for issue but I am still very frustrated with the lack of communication internally. The staff were pleasant and understood my concerns.
Hi Cameron, we apologise for the inconvenience. we're consistently aiming to improve our communication and capacity management to ensure a better experience for all. Thank you for your understanding.
Negative experience: Today it’s 38 degrees hot and inside it’s steamy hot and the back doors are closed as always and people watching there kids are hydrating from the chlorine and steam and condensation the managers they should open the back doors to keep fresh air and make people comfortable but they just too lazy to do it Someone one day will suffocate from the way they are operating and it will be their fault. I will be sending letters to the council regarding the situation. Everything else is fine no problem but the back doors should be open to provide fresh air and make parents and older people watching there kids more comfortable That is the only bad thing and it can be serious I advice the management to do something about it before someone gets hurt from suffocation and sues them
Hi Sam, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, we're unable to keep the back doors open due to our air handling system. If you have any concerns about the temperature in the pool hall, please don't hesitate to approach our staff on duty.
Negative experience: I’m not sure if the pool is ever cleaned. I swim laps most days and have been looking at the same dirty Band-Aid’s on the bottom of the pool for 2 weeks. It’s a bit gross.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologise for your experience with the cleanliness of our pool. Our pools floors are vacuumed overnight by our pool vacuum and are scooped by our lifeguard team to ensure debris are cleaned from the pool throughout your day. Based on your feedback we are reviewing our procedures. Your well-being and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing a clean and enjoyable environment for all our members.
Negative experience: I had seen Casey RACE charges are not fair to customers. During the summer holiday, CASEY by default assume to charge fortnightly for swimming lessons rather than suspending. They expect to call them to suspend whereas there phone line just go on and have wait for more than 30 mins to talk to someone. This is unfair and charging so much money.
Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback, most of our students have opted not to suspend as they get unlimited access to our One Casey pools and Doveton Pool in the Park as a part of their enrolment. One of our team members will be in contact in regards to your swimming lesson enrolment as we look forward to starting the new term.
Positive experience: Need to invest in more double rings for the water slide ppl waiting an HOUR for a slide
Hi Fiona, thank you for your feedback. New double rafts have been purchased, the team is waiting for their arrival. More double rafts should arrive shortly. Please feel free to contact us with your details and Casey RACE would be happy to provide you an update.
Positive experience: Very friendly reception and Cafe staff. However the water bucket not working again and please get some more tubes the wait for slides is ridiculous!
Thank you for your feedback, a contractor has been contacted to investigate the issues with the tipping bucket. New rafts have been ordered and arrived this week. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Negative experience: Went here with my son, I was in a different part of the facility whilst my son was swimming in the kids section. When we go to leave my son tells me that there was two boys 14/15yo’s that were punching him, slamming him into the pool wall and constantly attacking him, with the kids father even egging on his two sons to keep attacking my child by doing punching gestures, my son who’s 10 years old mind you was so scared and bullied he went to the lifeguard and told him what was happening as he could see it but wasn’t doing anything about it, the lifeguard did nothing! Absolutely unacceptable behaviour from the lifeguard to do nothing to help a child that’s terrified and in need! And to the disgraceful father encouraging his children to attack a boy on his own half the size of his kids was appalling! What is wrong with this world!
Hi Steff, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Can you please contact us at [email protected] with the details of your visit so we can look into this further, this behaviour is not acceptable at Casey RACE.
Positive experience: I only use the hydro pool, so will comment on that. The staff are not taught any assertive behaviour. Consequently when a child or groups of children who are and admit to being under 16 are in the pool they remain in the pool as they override and ignore the life savers. Unfortunately if one of these kids has an accident the centres liability insurance will be null and void due to this lack of assertive power. I do NOT therefore recommend using the hydro pool outside of school hours as it's full of kids playing.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the warm water pool. We are constantly working with our staff to make sure they feel confident and supported enough to have difficult conversations. Again thank you for taking the time to pass on the feedback.
Negative experience: Everything is great until you need accommodations for Autistic kids. Enquired about sensory sessions and was reccomended to addent during the hours that are naturally quieter which is during school hours. Or attend women's only sessions which is for kids under 6 at 8pm when most kids under 6 will be asleep.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize that the options provided didn't meet your needs. We understand the importance of providing accommodations for neurodivergent students and creating a welcoming environment for all. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we'll use it to explore additional options for sensory sessions that better cater to various age groups and schedules.
Negative experience: Casey Race has great swimming teachers, unfortunately the experience every week is marred by families and people taking advantage of the Family bathrooms instead of using the common bathrooms. Wait times up to 45 mins min after swimming lessons to use a Family bathroom, and when it's finally your turn you see a single person coming out, or a parent hogging the bathroom while waiting for their kids to finish lesson and come into the bathroom one after another. It didn't help when you ask for assistance and the DM tells you there's nothing that can be done, because he can't be chasing people out of the bathroom. That's not the intent anyways, perhaps a more appropriate response is to acknowledge the frustration and empathise with those of us who have been waiting for long. Mgt team needs to review their processes to help improve user experience.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we understand the frustration this can cause whilst waiting to use the family change room facilities. Our teams are aware and complete regular walk throughs of this area to do their best to prevent this from happening. Please feel free to contact us at the centre directly if you wish to discuss further at [email protected]
Negative experience: i don't recommend it. Have been using the facility for my kids since last few years. i always find the play area i.e bucket, slides are more closed than working. Never stable teacher as they get changed so frequently with new faces. so often more than 6 kids in a class. So, not even 5 minutes per kid per lesson that they charge you for. not enough( only 4) family bathrooms. make lessons are never available and you gave up dealing with reception, phone calls, emails, teacher in charge..if you want your kid to concentrate on learning swimming faster than go to small swimming place otherwise they will be on same class forever. i had to ask my kid's teacher why they ain't moving up and i got told that they are ready to move up but they don't have room in others classes. Why don't you update me then? Anyways have had enough and moved on.
Hi, thank you for your review. We would love an opportunity to address the feedback you have raised, as capacity within our program has significantly improved recently, if you would like to contact [email protected] our Aquatic Coordinator will be in contact with you.
Fantastic experience: Best swimming pool ever love to swim when it’s hot.
Negative experience: Casey Race has become a run down facility, Poorly managed and maintained, and overcrowded. You pay for a membership that you can really only use during a few off peak hours of the day. There is no compassion from the staff, all they care about is squeezing every dollar they can out of you. Shame on you Casey Race.
Hi Levi, our centre is open 7 days a week and we provide 24/7 access for our members to use the Health Club. If you have any specific feedback your would like to share further please email [email protected].
Positive experience: I've been required to join the Gym due to rehabilitation after an accident,so I apologise if I come across as slightly niave , however I am slightly upset with the way some people utilise and hog the equipment here. Surely if you have finished using it, you can rest somewhere else instead of warming down on the equipment others will be waiting for. And we're talking minutes on end. Surely there has to be some sort of etiquette? Or maybe not nowadays.
Positive experience: I love a great pool and waterside experience, but unfortunately, Casey Race is a little underwhelming. The staff were nice, and the price was reasonable, but there were no lockers for possessions, and the slide system just didn't work well. The food was overpriced. The water bucket for the kids wasn't even working. I just feel like the whole place needs an upgrade. The slides are really fun, but the way they are run has people waiting longer than they really should for a go. I also believe there isn't enough for real younger kids to do so if you have kids of many ages, it doesn't balance well. I would go again, but I think I enjoy the experience at PARC in Frankston better.
Thanks for visiting our centre. We do have lockers available for hire to secure your belongings, next time you visit feel free to ask reception and they can assist. Unfortunately our tipping bucket is closed for maintenance, we are working with our contractors to have this safely operational ASAP. We are happy to hear more of your feedback regarding the slides, our team follow a strategy to ensure everyone is safe whilst lining up and using the slides. If you would like to discuss further please email [email protected].
Positive experience: Love it there however today when we came to visit today the toddler waterplay area wasn’t turned on. So, unfortunately we left after 10 minutes as the shallow baby pool isn’t very engaging without all of the fun water activities. I hope that in future it’s made clearer when it will be on or off as it was quite a challenge getting the kids there only to leave shortly after
Hi Michelle. The tipping bucket in the leisure area is currently closed due to maintenance, we are working with our contractors to have this safely operational ASAP. We apologise for the inconvenience caused, if you email us at [email protected] we are happy to arrange a comp pass for your families next visit.
Fantastic experience: Staff were extremely helpful and understanding we dealt with Shaun what a lovely gentleman. Keep up the good work
Positive experience: It’s a good pool I come here with my mates a lot but every time I go the slides at closed
Fantastic experience: Janine is an excellent swim teacher, she's been really great with my little girl. Will be sad to leave this place.
Negative experience: Pools are disgusting went there with missus and son today for a swim had to leave after 10mins as we came across fake lashes and used tampon in the water after informing staff about item it was meet with laughter absolutely disgusting behaviour
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and a wonderful place for swimming I highly recommend it there is also a couple of slides and rides best place to handout with friends and family
Negative experience: The life guards kicked my little brother and cousin out of the pool for 15 minutes for splashing water on each other. And they kept calling me a bomber. They called the manager on me because I was running and they didn’t even give me a warning
Negative experience: For the amount of money we paid and giving that it is not a free entrance facility, the bathrooms are really disappointing, the dirts r every where, unbelievably disgusting, is it that hard to hire some one to clean bathrooms daily?!!!!! We r searching for other swimming pool becz of the cleaning issues.
Fantastic experience: Swim teacher Mary is absolutly fantastic. Couldn't recommend a better instructor. My little one has learnt more in a few swims with Mary then she has in months woth others.. fantastic
Fantastic experience: It’s very nice place, I’m using the pools and gym , encouraging friends to join for swimming or gym. Gym is not for professional bodybuilding, it’s more a fitness type or recovery gym. I hope it continues the same for the future…
Negative experience: How can a Hydrotherapy Pool with a big sign saying no kids under a certain age (16 without Medical Certificate) be so completely packed with kids and their Pool Noodles? I thought this pool was meant for therapy for people who need to exercise in such a pool. There was even a woman who asked for space to be made so the child she was with had room to jump in the warm water. Casey Race need to review access to this HYDROTHERAPY pool, ridiculous. Then you have a cheek to charge for use of a Therapy pool that there is no room to do any Therapy. Shame Casey Race SHAME!!!
Negative experience: Well Family rooms not having a shower or toilets. Slides are not working despite the fact that I called in the morning and they said all operational. A lot of sessions taking place at the same time taking too much space. Not satisfied at all with the experience and never going back again!
Hi Rafik, We apologise for the incorrect information provided to you during your call. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future.
Negative experience: The pool is always open on Saturday nights for ladies night. The sign and posters all state opening from 8-10 but never manage to get the public out by 8. (Which is fine) Last night one of the staff members named Erin, was very disrespectful and kicked all the women and young children out of the centre and asked them to wait outside in the cold. This has never happened before and when we asked why, she very rudely replied “we are changing things.” This is disappointing as the signs said opening at 8 and everyone came at the correct time. She continued to argue with families that were trying to explain that their children are cold outside. She even said “if you guys are going to argue, I won’t let you in.” This is not how one should treat someone. I did spoke to another member who was very sweet and helped.
Negative experience: Very disappointing that the childrens pool is not open until 9-930am as advised by staff on entry + no life guards on duty. They expected my young children to swim in the lane pools that were already over run with people, such a disgrace. Why not open it early so children who wake up early can have some relaxation and a light morning swim? All other swimming pools in the area have facilities for children and they are open from 530am onwards. Such a shame and disappointment, will not be returning to this pool.
Fantastic experience: Children and adults playing in and crossing back and across the swim lanes. Not very good pool safety control by lifeguards. I have mentioned it to a lifeguard and explained how was nearly knocked out about 2 years ago and could of easily been in a bad way in the pool if no one was there quick enough! I will say that, this is the best swimming pool recreational centre in the south eastern suburbs. Facilities are of high quality and having a gym for people to workout, is an absolute bonus. Memberships available for the pool, spa, sauna and steam room facilities as well the gym facilities.
Negative experience: Male changing rooms are a disgrace and a seriuos hazard. Shower area has been in repair and condition off for over 2 months, grey wast water all over the floor and really bad smell. Making showering very hazardous, seriously dissatisfied and disappointed......
Negative experience: “HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODDLER SWIM TEACHER” Today my child who just turned 4 had their first swimming lesson, when I booked it staff told me I could get into the water with her for the first time, when we got their they said I couldn’t get in, then the swim teacher swam to the opposite side of the pool with my child and turned her back on me telling me to go away so she can’t see me, my child was absolutely distraught I had to get another teacher to tell Her to bring my child back to me and members of the public came up to me concerned for my child and said this is traumatic get her out of the water…. She said multiple times if I take her out she will never get back in the water again.
Hi Brandi, Our Aquatic Coordinator is currently looking into this issue and will reach out to you today. We fully recognise the significance of trust and safety when it comes to swimming lessons, and we are committed to resolving your concerns. A member of our staff will contact you shortly to have a detailed discussion about the matter.
Negative experience: I've been using the hydrotherapy pool to help my condition and on Wednesday I had my carer with me & was meeting my physiotherapy manager to review my exercises. There were too many people in there & my physio was actually asked by a women to clear a space for 2 children with noodles to jump in. There were also women with babies. Why is the policy of children only with a doctors certificate not enforced like a band for the sauna etc is? I was advised that the anxiety being in the pool negates the benefit I'd get from the exercise. I won't be back!
Fantastic experience: Great value for your money for families. 2 adults and up to 5 kids included. Staff are friendly. Water slides my kids loved and included in the price.
Fantastic experience: I love this swimming pools. I came here several times this year with a mate to swim and use the sauna , spa and steam room ect and the facilities here are just great. Actual better than great , awesome! Took my 2 year old son to enjoy the wonderful and playful kids area and it was just amazing and my son had such a great time. The staff here are absolutely spot on and friendly. This is an amazing place and i recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to swim ect and aswell bring the kids and family. This place has it all!!!
Negative experience: The indian lifeguard was very rude to me by pulling my bag to get out for evacuation. My 10 month was shivering in cold and she was expecting me to get out in that cold windy weather of last night. First of all, if the light goes off at least make an announcement so everyone knows what they are doing. Secondly, have some respect towards everyone. I swear to god if your boss finds out about this, you will definitely lose your job. Their behaviour disgusted me!!! How they can keep their job like that?
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear about this experience. We will follow up with the staff involved to understand what occurred on that evening.
Positive experience: The place is brilliant. Wide variety of pool choices plus sauna and spa. Gym upstairs, Cafe, swim wear on sale. Family change rooms which are fabulous
Positive experience: It is a nice place to go swimming, The only thing I don't like is there is a lot of splashing and people seem to not care about other's around them trying to enjoy their time there. Overall my kid's love it and I don't mind taking them but I don't recommend swimming near other kids as they tend to splash on purpose and can be rude about it as well.
Positive experience: I visited the pool and it was decent. I only have one issue which was the wait times on the slides. The slides themselves were great but to go on them you had to wait a 30 seconds after the other slide was empty meaning massive wait times and large delays when trying to get a raft. I feel this matter could be easily fixed by getting two life Garuda to monitor a slide each cutting the wait time incredibly.
Positive experience: It's a great place to have fun in the pool and they have slides. BUT they really need to work on the changing rooms and showers as it stinks. They need to ensure it's hygienic since so many people are in and out of the changing rooms and showers. This is only the downside to thos place otherwise it's a great place.
Negative experience: The main problem is the main swimming pool is freezing cold have told them numerous times but there is no fix. It's a sorry state to see the swimming teachers also struggle with the cold pool and getting sick often. Even my kids who attend don't want to go, as pool very cold and get sick. Due to it being a public pool, very high number of people use it so needs to be clean including the shower and toilet areas. please keep it to body temperature the main pool for God sake.
Negative experience: Do not recommend swimming lessons for children here. Took my son a week ago & he had an aggressive instructor who appeared to think that 3 year olds should know how to swim and the way to ‘help’ was to yell and physically yank his arm off her when he was scared. My child now fears swimming and won’t allow anyone to put swimmers on him after the horrific experience with an instructor who clearly has no patience. He cried in the lesson because of her behaviour causing fear and her response to this was that he was distressing the other children and we should look into a place that has 1-1 lessons so he wouldn’t do this to other kids. Sent a complaint through, was advised that it would be looked into and heard nothing back. Some sort of update would have been appreciated. Later realised how affected he was from this when I tried to put bathers on him and he wouldn’t allow me too, emailed them further about the emotional distress it’s put him in, and received no response to that. Such a big organisation who clearly has no value for its customers. Very disappointing given I have come here casually for many years. Disservice is not even the appropriate term for what they have provided. Such a disgrace.
Hi Cassandra,We apologise for the experience you had at our center. Due to privacy reasons, we are unable to disclose specific details regarding the discussion with the teacher. However, as previously communicated via email, a refund for the affected lessons has been processed for you. We hope that your child will find comfort in their future swimming lessonsKind regards, Casey RACE.
Positive experience: Wonderful Facility, Good emplyees. Only thing I could say is, On Saturday my family friends and I went for a quick 45 min swim. The Facility was reaching its closing hours and we we're hanging back just a slight bit until a Supervisor or Team leader yelled at us asking to leave with a very disrespectful tone. I understand that She was doing her job, But we didn't appreciate the aggresive tone. Other than that, Awesome place.
Negative experience: I do not recommend Casey Race Pool because they ripping off their new customers, they charged me an extra $1.20 on the first for a 'normal swimming' with a concession. secondly, they allow ladies to enter the facility at 8:38 pm while expecting them to exit at 9:45 pm which is a 1-hour swimming session and still charges $6.80 for concession holders. but according to the website "Women's Only Swimming sessions run every Saturday from 8.00 pm - 10.00 pm" which is 2 hours. we get to swim for 1 hour but still get charged $6.80 total RIPP OFF. The staff are extremely rude. Last but not least, they open a few swimming lanes which force ladies to use three lanes only which causes congestion.
Hi Lee, thanks for visiting during our Women’s Only program. Our centre closes at 8pm and our team completes a reset for the Women’s Only program to commence, doors open for this program at 8:15pm and we serve customers as quickly as we can to get them through the doors and we close the pools 15 minutes prior to the centre. If you would like to swim longer than the allocated time for Women’s only please visit during our regular centre hours.
Negative experience: I haven't been to Casey Race in 10 years and let me tell you it is a shadow of what it once was. I want half my money back. Half the kids water activities don't work. Bucket? No chance. The kids pool was half closed for swimming lessons on a Saturday leading to MAJOR over crowding. Couldn't even move in there....regretted going there at all. Would not recommend.
Hi David,Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and we are sorry to hear you weren’t satisfied with your visit over the weekend. We utilise the program pool to deliver our Learn to Swim program to safely teach children vital water skills, classes on a Saturday morning are completed by 12:15pm if you prefer to visit at a different time. Our tipping bucket will be inspected during the week as it is currently closed due to maintenance however on weekends our slides are still open from 12pm-5pm. We have also responded to your Facebook comment to arrange a complimentary pass for your next visit. If you have questions or would like to discuss this further please feel free to contact us at the centre on 5990 8600.
Fantastic experience: Best place to de-stress after a long day of work, stayed in the steam room then spa is my way of de-stressing after a long day of work.
Fantastic experience: Casey RACE is an exceptional sports and aquatic facility that offers something for everyone. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to assist and make your experience enjoyable. The swimming pool is fantastic, with a range of different areas that cater to swimmers of all abilities. The pool is always clean and well-maintained, and the water temperature is just right. The water slides are a great addition, and kids of all ages will love them. The gym at Casey RACE is also excellent, with a wide range of equipment that is well-maintained and easy to use. The gym is spacious and well-lit, with plenty of natural light and a great view of the surrounding area. The group fitness classes at Casey RACE are also a highlight, with a range of different classes that cater to all fitness levels. The instructors are knowledgeable and encouraging, and they create a fun and motivating atmosphere that makes exercising enjoyable. The facilities at Casey RACE are world-class, with plenty of space for parking, spacious change rooms, and plenty of seating areas. The on-site café offers delicious and healthy food options, making it the perfect place to refuel after a workout. Overall, I would highly recommend Casey RACE to anyone looking for a top-quality sports and aquatic facility. It's the perfect place to swim, exercise, and socialize with like-minded individuals. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are exceptional. I can't wait to visit again!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place. Always came here with family, now I'm bringing my own here too. Great for family outings
Fantastic experience: Great for the kids swimming lessons and kids to splash around after lesson... all facilities for adults as well. Huge place. Recommended if your around the area
Positive experience: Great venue and love the hydro pool. However staff attitude is appalling. We walked in, told to wear a mask just through the gates then I can take it off (ok, but covid doesn't stop at the gates) then saw every second person walking out into the same foyer without one and they also let something through without (???) Do I enquired and 'it's ok cos they're leaving' - again covid doesn't choose to infect the people entering only. Absolutely stupid and never heard of that in any other venue. Casey Arc has much better staff and attitude
Negative experience: Was Very busy on a sunday at 3pm with kids crossing over into the swimming lanes whilst lifeguards didn't do much to stop them. Messed up my swimming rhythm multiple times... feral water quality too with loads of bandaids and filth along the bottom of the pool.. huge let down today.
Fantastic experience: Its got soo many facilities and good staff that it is always soo crowded. There are two big slides which are open at certain times of the day. There are several fountains and other cool water play stuffs to engage kids. There are no less than 6 water areas.
Negative experience: Gym Membership fee is too high. Why is that so, when many other gyms in the area are able to provide membership for a reasonable price. $15 per week in other gyms (with no joining fee at times) whereas $25.40 per week here at Casey Race.
Negative experience: I became a temporary member to see how it went and was pleaseed with aspects of the centre, there was things I didn't like and felt could be improved. 1. mould in the family shower 2. The staff especially life savers were very unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable when I approached any of them . 3.wearing a mask into the facility then I can take it off once in there thats ridiculous. 4. Today I went in to no smile when being served then told I couldn't go into the pool because my membership ran out yesterday I explained I was working till late the last two day and nights. I explained All I want is to go have a swim to refresh my self and I'll come and fix up my membership afterwards the manager said no you can pay for the swim then pay for my membership after . I could believe that they would treat a member like this, that was the last straw I won't be back to or become a member of a place that has no respect or consideration for the members
Positive experience: We like it here. There are a good range of fitness classes and equipment, aqua facilities like the warm water pool, sauna and steam room and of course the pools. The little one's play area is always fun as well.
Positive experience: Excellent! Best around. Shallow end starts at 1.2m so. Got couple of lanes for slow to fast swimmers, deep end is at 1.8m for such a huge facility. No diving allowed, heated pool is about 1m deep and congested since its small. There is a hoist which is a plus but only at the heated pool. Spacious Gym and Spa too. Cheap when you pay for family package or as a group.
Negative experience: It hasn’t been enjoyable lately. The amount of mould and scum in the steam room is appalling. It’s the same in the showers. The window ledges around the warm water pool are covered in dirt. I’ve got to the stage where I’m avoiding showering at your centre as it makes me feel sick. Lately there also have been groups of youths coming in and causing trouble to staff and patrons. Why can an obviously under aged youth be allowed to stay in the warm water pool. Just because they say they’re sixteen shouldn’t mean they’re allowed to stay in there disrupting patrons who are there doing therapy. This place used to be great but lately it’s dirty and not enjoyable at all.
Fantastic experience: Love the Academy class run by Tom and Tyson. excellent trainers. very team orientated class. helps you push yourself while doing the moves correctly! definitely recommend the class to everyone and hope it continues. only downside is the small area available.
Positive experience: Great facility and staff but the men's pool changeroom is consistently dirty and smells. I realise they can only do so much with the amount of traffic that goes through there but it would be nice to see them cleaned more often and signs placed about hygiene / etiquette. Overall, I have a membership and I'm happy but it's a shame to leave feeling grossed out by the changerooms each time.
Negative experience: The Casey one the place itself good and also swimming teachers are also good ,but the staff are at reception are useless.you have to seat down more than 30 minutes still no solution.for makeup class you have to ask them every week.it is your responsibility not their. As parents you have to worry about your money worth it otherwise you lose your make up class.very disappointed with reception staff and administrators. More disappointed today as they don’t have options for makeup class and they can’t give you even credit for your public holiday class and cancel classes.
Negative experience: Into my fourth month as an aquatic member soley using the therapy pool, steam and spa 3+ days per week for exercise/joint pain relief. I look forward to and enjoy my hour session in the warm water pool but very disappointed lately as the temperature is not warm enough. Generally the warmth of the water on the surface as you enter is inviting but too many times in the last month it is too cold and defeating the purpose of my therapy. I know a number of people have complained to Reception only to be informed 'there is an issue with the boiler'. This needs to be addressed as with winter approaching I am wasting my time and will cancel my membership.
Fantastic experience: This was the best swimming pool that I seen.
Negative experience: Disappointed this morning. We have 2 children and our eldest has been attending swimming classes for 4 years. Signs around state "Children under 5 need to be with in arms reach of an adult at all times" Previously we confirmed with staff that it was ok for our children being 4 to be in the baby pool which is super shallow with out an adult in the water as long as we were standing at the side since its a tiny pool and we are still with in arms reach. Today our daughter being 4 and 3+ times the size of the depth of water in the baby pool. She completed her swimming class and asked to go down the frog slide in the baby pool. Which was fine, I was standing at the edge of the pool supervising. The life guard removed her from the water stating a parent needed to be in the pool. I directed the life guard to the multiple signs which state "With in arms reach" and NOT IN THE WATER. She did not care, the manager came over and said the rules are have to be in the water. When I asked why the signs say different he could not supply an answer other than this is the rule. I have no problem following rules but if you enforce different rules to the displayed rules then that is quite disappointing. Now we have a daughter who does not like life guards as they kicked her out of the water and she doesn't understand when we had explained to her it was alright if she stays close to us.
Negative experience: Not overly impressed with the gym setup as it is very basic and a lot of members tend to leave their weights on machines and barbells after they’re finished. Can still get a good workout in if you know what you are doing. It’s nice having access to the pool although when taking my 5 year old daughter in the kids pool, lifeguards seem to not really care if there are much older and bigger kids jumping around splashing and causing her to go under as they push past everyone. Not good to see when it’s a pool made for smaller children and they could be in the other pool. Parents shouldn’t have to be the ones to remind them to be careful of younger ones.
