Fantastic experience: Good facilities - gym, sauna, steam room. Wide range of different classes included in membership.

Negative experience: Facilities are decent but dated, and safety concerns are overlooked. The centre features a main 50m pool, but it struggles to balance the competing needs of different users. Commercial interests, like swimming schools, often take priority over regular members. For example, while the centre publishes lane availability online, swim schools are allowed early access to set up without proper safety protocols. A few weeks ago, I encountered a safety hazard when a metallic swimming platform from a school was pushed into my lane without warning. While swimming freestyle, I nearly struck the post but was able to avoid injury thanks to quick action. When I raised this with the duty manager, I received a dismissive response, with the incident brushed off as a 'one-off'. Given their lack of concern for patron safety, similar issues could arise again. If you choose to use the facilities, be cautious as your well being may not be their top priority.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership this morning as I refused to speak to a so called manager who has been extremely rude and frankly intimidating. I had a very unpleasant encounter with a lady stuff the day before. Anyway, good facility, but rather not dealing with a racist karen and gangster like manager. This is in response to management, not sure how intimidating member is called " act appropriately". How is this a respectful and safe environment, when you have a guy on your face asking you to leave the gym a safe and respectful environment. what a joke!!!! Yes, I might be wrong running without shoes, but asking me to leave the gym, because I simply asked for the lady staff to show me the rules. And more, still harassing me the next day when I had full gears. And yes, I have every right to refuse to talk to a so call manager. I SIMPLELY REFUSE TO TALK TO HIM. I was asked to leave the gym, and amusingly, banned from entering the gym. haha what a joke. Anyway, I am not coming back here, just want to give the full story for people to see. The facility is great, I enjoyed it. But some staff really needs a 1 on 1 custom service training. I think a so call manager can not control himself when talking to a member, maybe its time to think about finding another job. haha, end of the day, members are paying your salaries. Anyway, if management still think they v done the right thing. so be it, time will tell.

Fantastic experience: Clean and modern

Negative experience: Great facility and swimming school however the staff at reception were extremely rude, disrespectful and treating a first time ticket buyer with passive aggression. I understand there is a lot I don’t know about but I don’t work there either. It wouldn’t hurt to try to be more nice and helpful to other people.

Positive experience: Very competent body of water. Found I could swim faster here than other pools for some odd reason(magic?). Very, very cold in winter however.

Negative experience: Useless staff and organization with no respect to the safety of the members.

Negative experience: staff gave a random thief free access to use the bathroom/shower area. So basically not doing any due diligence. Normally non-members are required to pay casual rates to use the facility and I never ever heard of gym/swimming facilities giving free access to random people to use the bathroom. The thief stole my wallet, keys and eventually my car as well. From the magnitude of the incident, I thought I would receive a written response of what happened or a call back from senior management but I had to follow up everything myself. Nothing resolved and still no official response. Another interesting question is how did the reception staff know the car was stolen? Was the face a known figure and they realized that they made a big mistake afterwards?

Positive experience: Swimming lessons for baby's 4-6 months is fantastic! First time mum here and is great so 5 stars for Sally! 3 stars because would be even better if they'd fix the baby change table upstairs in the family change room as some mother put her 3 year old on it and they broke it. Been reported a few times but no change. But 5 stars for the cafe/Canteen as the eggs Benedict here is better than the cafes at hawthron/kew area!! (Just need Bacon and halloumi to go with it)

Fantastic experience: Encouraging teachers and a happy environment.

Negative experience: These guys never cease to amaze me with their shocking customer service, lies and deciept. I could honestly write a book but ill just share the most recent experience as i don't feel they're worth anymore stress than the stress they've already caused me. My son, partner and myself all had memberships - around the same time we all had to suspend our memberships as we were all going through personal issues - my son had an injury (provided medical certificates to aqualink) and my partner went away for afew months (he provided evidence of this) and i had some health issues that required me to take time off (i had also provided medical certificates). When my son and i were ready to get back into the gym after a 2 month break, we let aqualink know. We had suffered a lot during the past 2 months, and then there was a passing in the family. I let aqualink know that we were needing a further few weeks off due to the bereavement. They told us it was fine and i know what they're like (liars) so i asked them to put it in an email as they had tried in the past to take money out for the full memberships whilst we were on suspension! They agreed to put the new agreement in writing along with the new extended date and low and behold, they didn't write squat, instead they tried to deduct money from the account as i had feared in the first place knowing their historical behaviour. Along with the injuries and health issues and partner being away i had suffered so much - to top it off with this bereavement suffering - when i saw they had attempted to take money out i was so overwhelmed and i couldn't handle it so i didn't bother contacting them, i had just decided to forget about them altogether! They ended up charging us for the next couple of months and harrasing us with phone calls and emails. I responded and explained that i just couldn't cope and they knew every detail ocf what had happened and still heartlessly demanded the couple of months fees and we hadn't even stepped foot in the doors! Its taken a long time for me to get over this and build up the strength to waste my time writing an email but this poor business standard and treatment of people being dollar signs has to be brought to light. I even emailed the council as i have done before after i had suffered multiple harrasments in the sauna yet as usual, my voice was ignored and there was no reply at all, and nothing was done. Think teice if you're looking at coming to this God forsaken place unless you wanted to be treated like scum. They do not deserve your attendance.

Negative experience: Bad experience there, some people talk really loudly in steam & sauna it clearly states its a quiet area, sounds travels so it should be NO conversation at all, this old man there today who was talking about how much alcohol he had last night & there clearly was a strong smell of alcohol off him when asked to keep it down, went mad even threatening behaviour, he should have been removed from the club ,

Fantastic experience: I've had a fantastic experience at this swimming complex, and I can't say enough about the quality of the instructors. The teachers are exceptional and work wonderfully with the kids. Their patience, expertise, and friendly approach create an ideal learning environment for young swimmers. It's a place where children can grow and develop their swimming skills while feeling safe and motivated. If you're looking for a great place for your kids to learn to swim, this swimming complex is the way to go!

Positive experience: Receptionist and life guards are nice. But they close 3 lines at night for training. Even the multiple lane, not helpful for those ppl who tri to learn.

Positive experience: I’ve always been a fan to the Aqualink facilities!!! But the unpleasant experiences I’ve encountered many times are with the elderly people that attended Aqua classes. They are so grumpy. My advice guys, I would avoid going in the morning where they mostly will be there. I guess I will have to move my swimming lesson

Negative experience: First time being here. Don't think I'll come back to be honest as it was unhygienic . The tiles where really dirty outside/in the spa and looks like they have cleaned them in long time. When my friend and I got it, it felt really slimly at the bottom of spa and allot of grout was black/brown.

Negative experience: This place is a literal scam. They had a free months membership from December-Jan 16 this year, which I signed up for. Used it a few times at opening time (which it was horrendously busy but that’s not what this is about) stopped going and let the membership run out. The next day I got called by someone on reception, who asked me if I wanted to continue my membership. I said no, and she said she would have to charge me for the first month as it was part of the terms and conditions. She then ABUSED ME OVER THE PHONE because I had a feeling, and didn’t upload my credit card details to the online members portal when making my account, screaming that it was illegal, and that I need to come in and pay. I hung up on her and haven’t been back since. The facilities weren’t even good enough to attempt to scam new clients. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Positive experience: Good sized pools, change rooms are always clean, kids pools are bit crowded on the weekend though. I have heard you can purchase swimming lessons here. Not sure on price though.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic swimming lessons for young children. Professional teachers and staff. The cafe has great coffee and friendly staff. Great kids pool area with supervision from lifeguards at all times. This is a great place to have fun while learning to swim.

Negative experience: Not a bad facility overall. However, you pay extra to use the sauna -which is normal. However if you don't bring a towel to sit on, they will kick you out of it and bar you from using it. This is a bit rich as they have taken your money and do not tell you this at the front desk. I understand this is a condition of some saunas, but it can't be assumed everyone will know without being told and it is more common to not need a towel to sit on. I also have concerns about the cleaning of the sauna. It really smells, and not normal smell but week old sweat. The steam room is great, there is a hose for the patrons to do the cleaners job and hose it down. The showers also had a small amount of mold on the grout, not sure the last time it was bleached.

Negative experience: Nothing but bad news. They ignored me without offering compensation when i had 2 x abusive incidents from other members that caused me panic attacks both times. They lost one of my shoes when i had called and asked them to get them out of lost property and hold at the counter. They left them in the lost property instead resulting in one going missing. They're overall nature is customers are dollar signs. They don't see us as people. That's the nature of the organisation you don't feel welcome or feel acknowledged when something has gone wrong they actually make you feel worse than what you felt initially. They pointed me to there council who owns them for help. The council ignored my msgs conpletely even though i explained how much anxiety the incidents had caused me in details, i never recieved a responce. Special place in hell for companies like this.

Fantastic experience: Huge pool. Great for recreation as well as learning swimming. Lot of parking space available. Spa, steam and sauna are $13.20 where just the pool access is $8.20. You can buy swim suit and other gear at the reception as well. Cafeteria inside.

Positive experience: Aqualink is a great health centre. The big indoor pool is 50m and probably not suitable for people that can't swim, but there is a wading pool.

Positive experience: Great sports complex with a 50-m indoor pool and a smaller wading pool. Shame there's no outdoor pool, that'd be awesome. Caters for pool parties, swimming lessons, swim squad and aqua aerobics, on top of spin and the usual aerobics classes. The cafe's been closed for quite a few months - not sure what's going on there. Plenty of parking, lockers and seats.

Positive experience: Pretty good and spacious pool. Not enough seating for parents watching lessons. Swimming lessons are good, as good as we've had anywhere, but it would be even better if they told kids what they need to do to go up a level.

Positive experience: I did love the pools until they over charged me. Well, didn't discuss the fee's correctly. I paid a fee that I thought was to join and one month Inc, for the to try charge me again in two weeks. Ridiculous. Swimming shouldn't cost so much money

Positive experience: Really enjoyed our visit here with the inflatables for the kids. The kids pool was great too. Unfortunately the Cafe is closed and the vending machines were out of order. Being our first visit we had no idea, so only brought a couple snacks for my kids and nothing for me. Didn't get to stay as long as we had hoped, as we had to leave and seek out food!!

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful facility. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. It is a relaxed, special place to take your children swimming where my family always feel welcome and safe. They run an awesome free holiday program for kids which my children love. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Aqualink Nunawading is also a facility owned by Whitehorse City Council but is an older facility. The gym is small when compared to Aqualink Boxhill but swimming pools are a bit similar. Change rooms are better in Boxhill.

Gym and array of fitness classes.. fitness class membership provides you the access to steam, sauna and spa... cafe is still closed.. hope all facilities will open soon...

Negative experience: I wouldnt even rate it, the customer service is beyond pathetic. Tried getting my son in the swim school, they said they will contact me when term dates get released (im still waiting for their call and I enquired back in November)...I called up and they told me a date when I can enroll. I called on this date and the phone would ring out so I went down there to be told they aren't taking any new student enrolments and I should call back on the following Monday. I tried calling on the Monday and I got told they aren't taking any new atudnets for this term. I enquired with a swim school in Surrey Park and they said they will give me a call back with class dates, I wasn't holding my breath and they were true to their word and they called me back and my son is enrolled.

Positive experience: Not sure about other pools, but here it sounds training sessions comes first as there are always few lanes engaged for training / clubs and normal members have to cope within two/ three lanes. Generally is clean and nice staff though.
