It’s a good mix of people, of all ages, the music is good, the instructors are good. I’ve found everyone to be helpful, and the place has a really good, judgment free vibe

Fantastic experience: I’ve attended the PLC as a gym member and for kids swimming lessons for three years now and it’s the most comprehensive set up with every class you could want! The instructors are wonderful and encouraging. The gym is unpretentious, the facilities are fantastic. Oh and the creche is 5 star and the price is right. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Positive experience: This pool is a absolute beauty if you require a fun day out, or a relaxing time. The gym on the other hand has been infested with young children with no adult to be seen or people with low amounts of clothing. I do believe it is still a great place to visit.

Positive experience: Parking is probably the worst thing about this place. Get it on a bad day along with the adjacent sports grounds being busy then you might have to be prepared for a walk

Positive experience: Good facilities, friendly staff. Only issues are that it closes too early on weekends, especially in winter and doesn't have an option of multi visit passes for swimming pool. Why is it any different to any other pool ? Other than that its not too bad. Glad they are fixing up the change rooms.

Fantastic experience: I want it known that a teenage lifeguard with black hair and a diamond earring in each ear was an absolute gentleman hours ago. After having a Karen complain and yell at me about my children splashing her I told her that she shouldn’t sit so close to the edge of the pool especially in at a public pool in the peak of school holidays, she was fully clothed and still mouthing off as I floated away attempting to ignore her. After she stormed off to complain to the life guard, it was expressed to her it’s best she position herself somewhere away from the water, he then walked over to me to ask if was okay, concerned for me. This is the first time as a grown man that someone in the public domain has asked if I was okay, I think it’s a testament to this teenager, his parents and obviously pool management. I hope management read this and give him a pat on the back. Thanks kid, you’re a little legend!

Positive experience: I really love this place but a couple of tweaks would make it amazing. The change rooms have lots of broken hooks and no real dry spots to put your stuff. I would also love the option of a 10 or 20 pass for casual swims rather than a membership. The 50m lap pool is fab. The staff are lovely.

Negative experience: First time visiting and they overcharged me and then refused a refund.

Fantastic experience: Great well maintained pools. Even a pool that is always around 32 degrees which you can enjoy all year around. Great Steam room, sauna. Recommended for some R&R

Positive experience: I usually like going here for a swim, but there are some flaws. The changerooms are dirty and the hooks there are broken , and it is often cold in them. However, last time we went, we were getting out of the pool when the staff decided to have the doors wide open while the temperature outside was below 10 degrees. It was freezing. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Great for young and not so young.

Negative experience: As a parent of young kids, visiting is stressful. Used to be a great place to come with the kids but they haven’t kept up with how busy the area has become and adapted their schedules accordingly. The car park is miles from the entrance and most of the time you can’t get a park because it’s so tiny. I’m sure the residents nearby are sick of the cars over flowing. The soft play is almost always booked out for a private party - which is hard to explain to kids too young to understand why they can’t play in an often-empty soft play. Swimming lessons have the world’s most confusing “make up” lessons rule and are pricy. If you can avoid going, do. Busy mums have enough to worry about

Fantastic experience: Was very relaxing, I used the hot spa, which is 18+ , which was nice to know I wasn't going to be splash. Then, head to the sauna, and I honestly cam say 5 minutes is enough because it's super hot mind you I sat on the second step maybe just the 1st step next time. Then I headed into the warm pool close to the entrance and sat on the bench, which entails air bubbles. Overall very nice

Fantastic experience: What a great place to cool off. Variety of pools to cater to all ages and abilities. Waterpark outside. Plenty room to move around as well as plenty free parking. Great coffee shop inside. Plenty of staff on hand.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, pool, creche, and sauna experience. Love that this is a council-run facility so the profits go straight back into the community rather than into a fat cats back pocket. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Membership prices are affordable and provide a truly holistic gym experience. Facilities are getting slightly dated (given the construction date of the building), so upgrades might hopefully be in the distant future.

Negative experience: Love the pools, sauna and spa but it's sad to see lovely young girls walking around in G strings this is a rehabilitation pool area and is frequented by all types if Disability people at least put some shorts on in the public areas and have respect for others and yourself.

Fantastic experience: I love the peninsula leisure centre for the spa & sauna. It’s the only place on the coast that has both a spa and a sauna in the same place so even though it’s a 45 minute drive for me I still make the effort to come and enjoy the relaxation and therapy. They also have a crèche here too that runs Monday-Saturday 8:30-12:30 so it’s great for me to have some time relaxing while my daughter plays. The lady’s that work there are all so lovely! There definitely needs to be more places like this on the coast. Thanks peninsula leisure!

Positive experience: I went today. It was really fun. I had fun in the pools and on the slide, as well as the outdoor waterpark. Got slightly sunburned, but that's my fault. The reason it's not getting five stars is because of the vending machines. They are such a scam. We tried to get food from it, and it wouldn't even accept our money. There was a $5 note jammed in one of them, we got it out with tweezers and scored some free cash. Literally NONE of the machines worked. May as well go spend the money somewhere else. We went to 7/11. But other than that, great place. We had a lot of fun there and made a lot of memories.

Positive experience: Facilities are fun for kids but I have found the people at reception really unhelpful and quite rude. Today I enquired about swim classes for my little one and it was clear that I was being a bother to this woman. Simple questions were painful for her to answer and I just felt a general sense of distain so told her not to worry. Second time I have had this experience. .. . Side note, It’s very strange that they choose not to run the water slide during school holidays when the center is busy with so many children? 0_o

Fantastic experience: Swim here three times a week. It is a wonderful asset for the area. If there is one thing the Central Coast Council has got right, it is this. Thank you from the local community.

Positive experience: The price of chips in the cafe has gotten more expensive, which I'm happy to pay the extra $1, but they also changed their chips, it used to be very nice and fat, now it just looks like the skinny frozen chips you get from the supermarket, not happy about that.

Negative experience: Terrible the hole court is filled with dead spots and needs a redo although it looks good the rims of each hoop is not even no matter how hard you try to get them

Fantastic experience: Great place, with many water based activities. The 3 year old twins loved it especially the big bucket of water tipping over. We will be back.

Positive experience: Quite nice place the chips took ages in the Cafe and the gym can be a little expensive but their still good. Pools were pretty clean and nice tempature overall a good experience.

Negative experience: $5 for an 11 year old to swim. No problem. But $4 to not swim at all because you're just there to supervise your child, are you kidding me.

Fantastic experience: A regular site for me and my kids. Perfect place to spend a few hours no matter the weather. With their large heated indoor pool with waterslide rain, hail or shine the kids are always happy

She loves playing in the play pools and the water slide is a highlight. Staff at the front counter are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this centre!

Fantastic experience: Wonder pools with lifeguards and also wheel chair access ♿ there are showers spa and sauna plus a big slide for the kids. With a outdoor water playground. There is also a cafe that serves hot food and beverages also vegan vegetarian options.

Fantastic experience: If it’s hot day with your kids, it is perfect place to stay. My kids spent 4 hours they didn’t wanna go home. Safe and fun. Make sure bring your food and tubes.
