Fantastic experience: Lovely place to escape the heat! Very small fee to enter, great clean pool, lots of free space on the grass to set up, my only recommendation would be a few more umbrellas just to provide some shade!

Positive experience: Nice outdoor pool with friendly localz. Yesterday was code brown that meant pool down, in all my time that was the first time that happened, except no tangible refund. I took swimming up slowly but here it is easy to spend a day. Small gym with bare essentials. More a place for cardio enthusiasts than anything else. Memberships available and affordable.

Negative experience: Very disappointed when my 3 year old son and I went to the pool. We weren't informed by the receptionist the kid's pool was closed and the life guard told use to get out and suggested to use the other 5 lane pool. My son has not learn how to swim. Only bright side was the young manager who offered reimbursement with ease. I will be honest that as a mum I was too busy watching my son then to notice any closed sign and because I was not told of any closure, naturally I assumed we were free to be in the kid's pool. Please do better.

Negative experience: The lifeguard was so grumpy and rude - told us we were swimming too slow for the slow lane (crazy input btw) and made us switch lanes constantly because some lanes were booked for private lessons. at some point he said both the free play lanes were “booked” (they weren’t) so we were forced to swim in the slow lanes and then told us we were too slow?? he also kept glaring at us. staff didn’t even look like they wanted to be there and it kinda felt borderline racist when they constantly gave us condescending looks. def not coming back :D

Negative experience: Staff are very rude for a Saturday morning. Never been here before and get treated like a second class citizen. If you want patrons to follow the rules, then lead by example.

Negative experience: Lanes blocked for school or private events with no notification on website or on arrival. Charged full price with no notice on entry either. 2nd time this happened in a week. Lost a longtime customer

Fantastic experience: A perfect pearl in the centre of the stunning Victoria Park, seconds from the Broadway shopping centre. There’s sneaky parking just nearby and a stunning cafe nestled in the old gatekeepers cottage..the pool facilities are very pre-loved, but clean and ample. The personal joy is swimming in the pool surrounded by beautiful gardens, birdlife everywhere & green expansive lawns ( and if you’re lucky) blue skies above. One of the City of Sydney’s chain of pools this would have to rate as one of my very favourite outdoor pools in Sydney. The friendly staff just top it off.

Negative experience: Underwhelming experience. As soon as I was about get into pool to swim a grumpy lifeguard stopped me and asked if I realised the pool closes in 15 mins. Then tapped me on the shoulder at 19.40 to get out. Website indicated 20.00. The pool not very clean and changing rooms a bit rank.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. We came with a three and a seven year old. The kids splash area didn't open till 10.30 am. So mothers with babies and kids who couldn't swim had to go into the walk lane of the main pool. Quite unsafe. The Cafe was closed (we were told permanently). So altogether the facilities are not what is advertised. Great pity. Such a great spot but badly managed.

Fantastic experience: Good pool with 7 lines and a kids pool, a small gym and some grass to lay down. Entry is $7.50 in 2024 but doesn’t include gym. A really nice spot to cool down in hot days.

Fantastic experience: My local gym and pool..best value..it doesn't have all of the machines a bigger gym has but has most equipment and it's usually not to busy ..peak hr is 530-630pm . The pool is heated , staff are friendly and helpful..and no grunting roid heads so that's a bonus.

Positive experience: A great public pool that's always clean. Some grass areas and umbrellas and a few benches & tables but could definitely do with some extra seating or deck-chairs. The staff are friendly and lifeguards are on duty. Bathrooms could be updated and kept cleaner for a better user experience. Overall, a good place to have a swim, exercise or an afternoon at a pool.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful pool and only a short walk from the small parking area. There isn't a lot of parking available but if you come off peak, you should be ok. Service at the counter can be slow. The pool is wonderful

Fantastic experience: As a British tourist I just wanted to say thank you so much to this amazing pool. Its clean, affordable, laidback, the staff are super helpful and you can just pay in on the day with no fuss. A great place for a swim, a quick workout or some downtime with a book on the lawn. It was really encouraging to see the place getting into the Pride spirit as well - sport isn't the easiest sector to express LGBT support so it was really lovely to see - ☀️

Fantastic experience: Nice pool! Very clean and amazing staff. Enjoyed my swim and was lucky to come on an open day with free entry, smoothies and bbq! Shower cubicles would be nice though, it’s only open ones with a little privacy.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite places in the world! Such a beautiful, peaceful swim considering you’re in the middle of Sydney. Close to shopping and restaurants so you can swim and then head out for the day/evening. Plus the views are lovely!

Negative experience: I love swimming here but if take your children or are not a good swimmer then be aware that on two recent occasions the staff have not dealt promptly with anti-social behaviour. I also advise swimmers to wear googles.I did not today 23723 and my eyesight was very blurred for about 2 hours afterwards.

Fantastic experience: It was so nice to swim there. The temperature was good and also not crowded. Nice to swim and get some sun read book and go back to swim :) water was very clean so safe to swim. Plenty of showers are available

Fantastic experience: There is simply no better place in the inner west of Sydney to be at 6am during the summer. The pool is quiet and prices of entry are very good. I great place to go for a quick 20 lengths set within the well kept Victoria Park.

Fantastic experience: The pool is nice and clean, busy on weekends before 8am, quiet otherwise. Usually quiet on weekend but can be busy on weekend if it's a sunny day. No free parkings in the park but people can use Broadway carpark, which is 5 minutes walk. Gym equipment is pretty poor but it's on ground floor so fresh air. Group classes are popular and always busy. Shower room has cubicles but no doors. Staff are friendly. Overall would be a nice experience for everyone but just a bit old compared to the new one at Zetland.

Fantastic experience: It's very central and easy to reach..has a good sized pool and a reasonable gym. Prices are very reasonable. Friendly staff, but not much parking space. Aside of this, nothing to complain about. Go to it people.

Positive experience: First time there, unfriendly reception… did the dance class which is OK, but BC no other student due to cancellation of the yoga class after.

Positive experience: They have an 8 lane, outdoor 50m heated pool alongside a splash pool with water features for the kiddies. They also provide various programs dedicated to improving your swimming.

Fantastic experience: Ok.m updated again. For the last 2 days there have been 4 swimming lanes - others booked and free play. 2/4 are fast lanes with 3 ppl and slow swimmers doing breaststroke in 1 of them. Busy in the medium lane with 5 or so bumping along. Not sure about the slow lane. It would be good for your team to check the dynamics and move the lanes about to suit. Not hard, surely? Updated. Thank you for listening, great to see a sign today With 4 lanes closed for private bookings there was almost no space to swim! I paid my adult entry and expected to be able to swim laps. 2 closed initially, then another 2 were closing so we had to move to already busy lanes. I felt i was kicked out. Why don't you put up a sign at reception when lanes are closed so that customers can decide whether they're happy or not to enter? The staff at reception said as much too, tired of the complaints. 2 stars is for the lovely setting.

Positive experience: Hi there, been swimming at vic Park fir 30 years and love it. Only prob is that theft is rife so always use a locker. I went there today and was told lockers not available nor I was I allowed to leave my stuff at reception, which is what has always been the fallback position in the past in these circumstances. You're letting unvaxed ppl into the pool and yet you have made no provision for ppl to secure their belongings. Can you please fix this? Many thx.

Fantastic experience: Their gym is a gem. Well equipped and steps away from an outdoor swim, can’t ask for more. The trainer in the gym Alessandro is super knowledgeable and informative. Great guy all round. It’s fast becoming my go-to.

Fantastic experience: Vic Park is an idyllic setting for a swimming foray of any kind. Many shiny, fresh memories have been made here, the locals can attest. Spend an hour in the sun. Take the time to hone your freestyle game. Spectate the antics of the cheeky cockatoos as you backstroke. Admire the ample, picnic-ready lawns and big tree shadows from a fashionable distance under one of those big sun umbrellas. Don't forget to pack your best cozzie and some mystery-soaked tinted goggles. All this at a skipping stone's throw from so many highly frequented locations and popular bus routes! Victoria Park Pool has got it made.

Fantastic experience: I was a member for almost a year then I moved to northern suburbs. Recently, I was passing by and I have realized how much I miss this place and the great people working there. Alessandro, Zora, Lucie (exceptional coaches), Ali with his positive vibe and great customer service, Tina who always cheer you up, and so many other great people that I forgot their names. The gym is always organised and they have the best swimming pool in the neighbourhood. Group fitness and yoga classes are among the best in the city.

Positive experience: Good to come here for a swim when it gets too hot. Not the ideal pool for exercising though, try indoor pools for that. Sometimes the lifeguards act like police officers though which is kind of strange.

Positive experience: Went labour day to the pool because the beach was obviously going to be packed. I didn't see the no sunbathing sign so I was asked to leave when I was sun bathing which is totally my bad. But, that rule just doesn't seem logical at all, I can't sun bath, but i can swim in a pool and cross paths with another swimmer on cm's apart and share all the germs from my mouth amd nose with everyone in the pool? Unless we swim in a pool made of isopropyl alcohol, we all know chlorine ain't going to cut it in term of killing germs immediately. However, we did get a free pass which is nice of them but the no sun baking rule is just really silly in my opinion.

Positive experience: The pool is well situated in inner city suburbs in a beautiful park. The pool facilities are great and there is also a gym. However. The customer service at the canteen is appalling and the range of meals and snacks is not great. I was in disbelief at how poor the service was and how slow the 2 staff were at responding to a line of customers.

Positive experience: I'm a pretty big fan of Victoria Park Pool. I have been coming here on and off for over 20 years. The main reason is it's location which is right next to Sydney University and at a pretty big bus junction (City Road and Parramatta Road/Broadway) so it is convenient for dropping in on the way to or from work or Uni. I have never really used the gym though. Here's the downside: I am slightly underwhelmed by the pricing - it just seems a bit over the odds for what I feel should be priced better than the commercial gyms. It is, after all, owned by the City of Sydney. For what it is - a well worn-in public amenity - residents of the area should be offered a discount - just a suggestion. While I was living overseas, they installed lovely sun-lounges that give it a slightly resort-like feel - I wonder if this was the justify the ex-y price of gym + pool subs...? Also, the cafe is pretty average The water is clean (except on super crowded days in the height of heatwaves... my advice would be to stay away on those days). Upside: I can almost always get in 20 - 30 laps (it's Olympic sized - 50m) without being in a crowded lane. In case you're wondering, I swim mainly between 8am and 10am. It can feel like a little oasis in what is otherwise a pretty grungy part of town. It's especially nice to be there on a fine weekday, during school time, when it's quiet and pretty.
