The Yarra Centre

Positive experience: I’ll go to the gym at the Yarra centre and yes I do enjoy going there but the community around Yarra Junction is getting bigger and it might be time to expand a little bit specially the gym maybe a few more by basketball courts and also the pools! Definitely would like to see the gym windows tinted and maybe the pool windows as well Not sure where to start for this to ever happen, but it definitely needs to happen like I said the community around Yarra Junction is getting bigger!

Negative experience: The gym bathrooms smell like mould the whole place has poor ventilation and the staff are quite rude ...

Negative experience: Weak and tasteless coffee. Spend 5 mins and walk elsewhere!!

Positive experience: Brilliant small indoor pool, with perfect temperature water. Great to cool off on a hot day with kids. Staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: We used the basketball courts. This was a cheap easy activity for the kids.

Fantastic experience: Have been an aquatic member at The Yarra Centre for 11 years. Great local facility that’s well used by the local community. Good clean facilities - great showers. Good hours and access. Two disabled change rooms which are shared with families. Pools are warmer than usual so as to cater for kids lessons and people doing rehab but you soon adjust. Fabulous staff are the cherry on top.

Negative experience: They seem to regularly clean the changing rooms when patrons are using facilities,, it should normally be done after hours unless critical situation but it happens too often.. swimming pool should be available till 8:30 but expect them to close up earlier if they think it's a quiet night.

Fantastic experience: The Yarra Centre is a multi-function Aquatic and Leisure Centre located on the Warburton Hwy, Yarra Junction in the heart of the Yarra Ranges. Offering you a range of aquatic facilities including a 25m heated pool, a leisure and toddler pool with water play features. Health club, group fitness, aqua fitness, a multipurpose room, two court stadium, the Yarra Centre playroom creche, the Whistlestop Cafe and retail facilities specialise in the latest swimwear and accessories. The facility is crowded during the weekends.

Fantastic experience: Entrée 6$ piscine principale de 25m et deux bassins moins profond pour les enfant très agréable Possibilité de juste prendre une une douche 2.50$, chaude et bonne pression dans des cabines individuelles L'ensemble de l'établissement est très propre et très lumineux Le top de cette piscine c'est le personnel qui est incroyablement sympathique, amical, sourient, attentif, professionnel rien à dire à part qu'ils sont parfait !

Fantastic experience: Looked all over town for a coffee at 4pm after my 3 hour drive to get here. Matt at the Yarra Centre was so helpful and had coffee with a smile. Happy days.

Positive experience: attended a sports seen with the local primary schools. Pool is always great at 25m with plenty of place for the kids to splash about or have a kayak session. Basketball and tennis courts available and the cafe servers hot food snacks coffee and drinks. good place for the kids to have a swim during the school holidays and chill out. Staff there insure that rules are followed and people are not disturb by bad behaviour.

Positive experience: My daughter (not yet 1) absolutley loves it here especially being able to walk into the water with the way the baby pool is set up. All pools are a bit warm though would prefer if one at least was cold.

Negative experience: The women's showers are always out of order. I'm a local, it's been like this for years, they have not fixed the women's showers since they broke ten years ago.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly staff and we love how the pool is not overly busy here. Bubs classes are small and intimate and it's becoming our regular Saturday morning routine.

Fantastic experience: A breathtaking Blur Lotus park near by and a great family park that is enclosed so allows parents to relax while kids play. Has public toilets and supermarket across the road. Have been to the market in the carpark a few times also.

Positive experience: Great modern facilities only set back is the hot weather as the stadium gets to hot and the pool gets chlorine stuffy.

Negative experience: Good for family when it comes to the pool side of things and maybe the stadium, But the gym is far from upto scratch, it's not the most hygenic especially the change rooms.

Fantastic experience: I've only been there to have a shower on my weekends away in the area but the staff are friendly the showers are lovely and hot which only cost $2.50 and the prices for their cafe are reasonable i will continue to go back anytime im camping around the area.

Fantastic experience: Went there for the pool. Very nice and affordable experience. The place is available even for non-locals. We stayed at a nearby host and ejoyed the pool several times. There's also a gym and other amenities on site. Well worth checking out.
