Negative experience: Pool is disgustingly dirty. Terrible customer service.

Positive experience: Well appointed gym with clean surroundings including a pool snd located in the basement of the club. You need RELC membership to join. Wish it's above ground floor as there's no natural lighting. Very helpful staff and gym instructors.

Fantastic experience: Good place to go !

Fantastic experience: Great gym and fitness centre, rarely over crowded, nice staff, streamlined check in process. Clean change rooms, well maintained equipment.

Negative experience: Aircon has not worked in the main weights room in ages. Apparently management doesn’t want to spend on the gym but the pokies room is freezing cold. Go figure.

Negative experience: I swim in Gyms swimming pool On Friday almost 10 days ago I went to swim and found pool water was cloudy and dirty . I took a sample of water by bottle which was given to me by one of GYM supervisors from behind counter. I took water and tested it at Razco Pool shop. I am licensed and 40 years experienced swimming pool service technician and pool builder . And returned the water Analysis tests results back to supervisors counter . (Not to anywhere else). Next day I had a phone call from Chris Kalligas Gym General manager with abusive language that why I tested the swimming pool water . Instead of being nice and cooperative that I was trying to help to clean pool water before any major sickness or problem to people who swimming in public swimming pool, Instead he abused me and now send me a letter that if I test the water again they will close my Gym membership . Last many years many things in gym were faulty and dirty and broken and shortage and I gently reported it and they fixed it , For all that free work and help instead of kind words I got nasty telephone conversation and rude letter . I strongly advise the Ryde Eastwood leagues club President and directors should give him a warning to act like professional and gentle manager or just replace him if he continues in nasty and rude manners Regards Razmik Aghajanian Professional and licensed pool builder and service Technician. At current time when COVID-19 is major problem and a lot of people are sick and dying and I was trying to help them , Instead of thankful words and gentle discussion and meeting, He abused me on phone and send me a letter threaten me to close my accounts. If one more rude discussion or nasty letter I will contact Health Department to check Gym and swimming pool regularly to stop virus and bacteria to spread . Now they suspended my club membership and Gym usage. I strongly recommend to get rid of Chris Kalligas because he is rude and nasty.

Fantastic experience: I have been to that GYM for 15 years and its well laided out for casual users and there is a separate room for heavy lifting weight machines. But now there is a quite a few GYM places around in West Ryde and Eastwood. Its hard to choose now .

Fantastic experience: A great gym inside the Ryde Eastwood Leagues club. You do need to be a club member to sign up to the gym. It has all the facilities you would expect of a good gym, and i has a pool. There are many different classes, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. There are student rates, off peak memberships, as well as pool only memberships if that's what you want. They do have signup promotions that are definitely worth it, very useful for trying out the space, before committing to a full membership.

Positive experience: Clean, well laid out. Great classes. The gym rooms: weight and cardio are smaller than some others but decent and typically have enough for everyone. Having them as 2 separate rooms in the same area rather than 1 big area works well. Absolutely love the heated pool. Perfect temperature for everything from recovery and gentle walking to those who like to challenge themselves.

Negative experience: Staff here are strict about everything. Spoke to me very rudely. Watched all my movements on camera and nagged me every workout. If you live around just go to top ryde it’s so much better.

Negative experience: Was a great gym but since a change in group fitness management and new CEO of the leagues club the group fitness timetable is terrible. Classes are constantly changing and members feed back regarding classes is completely disregarded. Such a shame as it was once a great place.

Negative experience: My AF Gladesville gym recently closed down so I wanted to explore other gyms and found out that they had this $49 February promo. I was advised by the club reception to go down and talk to the gym personnel before signing up to the Leagues Club. Talked to this attendant Ken, who was quite dismissive and didn’t even spend a minute to speak to me about the promotion until I signed up for the club membership with the reception (who ironically advised me earlier to just go and explore the gym first) and just left me alone to walk around the gym. I asked him about one of the benefits of the promotion but, he just dismissed my question that I had to sign up first for the full membership blah blah — it turns out he didn’t know the details on it. Had to spend my time to call them again while their flyer was in front of me. On a positive note, the facility is almost complete (missing a few machines from my AF gym) with a swimming pool and a yoga/class studio. The other personnel was ok when talking over the phone. I think they need (esp. Ken) to get trained on customer service/experience or just realise we are paying customers. Even the old Asian guy who just wanted to swim that he gave a talking down on (where I had to intervene by showing my newly-minted Club/or “license to talk to Ken” card to the poor guy and point upstairs toward reception. Nevertheless, I signed up and hope to be proven wrong and update my rating to 5 stars before the end of my 30-day promo membership and quite possibly convert to full membership (and bring my wife along).

Fantastic experience: I live at Meadowbank and used to go to a small gym there. I wasn’t happy so i got a 1 year membership with edge fitness. It is a large gym with everything. I got a price for the platinum gym at fitness first in top Ryde and the edge was half the price. The gym has the same equipment. It has a large pool, lots of classes, 23large rooms of fitness equipment. I have been a member for 3 years and it is great. Totally recommended.

Negative experience: Didn’t like the attitude and rudeness of the instructor Monique. Bad customer service to my group of regulars. Talked down to one of us and was dismissive. Will not be coming back after this.

Negative experience: Went there last night (Wed 17th Oct at 8pm). Lady behind the desk did not crack a smile, was stone faced, looks like she wanted to be somewhere else. When I mentioned that I wanted to see the gym before joining, she said "what did you want to see?". Never had this question before joining a gym. What do you think I want to see? The ceiling paint?! The plumbing?! She did not want to help. She kept on mumbling things, and I had to ask her for a copy of my contract that I signed (I've NEVER been to any business that doesn't automatically give you a copy of what you signed). This shows how much they really do not care what the customer wants. This women was completely lazy and seemed out of it. Luckily there was a lovely guy next to her who completed her sentences where she was too incoherent and checked that I understood everything (whereas she couldn't care less!). I've been to many gym's in Australia and overseas, and all of them have been polite and friendly. This women was the opposite. Uncaring, unfriendly, seemed like she wanted to get out of there ASAP. Terrible service!
