Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. The changing rooms were dirty, and there were no showers near the pools to rinse before entering, which is unhygienic. The environment was also extremely noisy .Yesterday there was a private class with very loud music on speakers and the instructor using a microphone, which affected everyone in the pool area. It felt like the whole facility was taken over by one class! Not recommended at all.
Positive experience: Compared to WaterMarc in Greensborough, here is overcrowded and poorly laid out. There are no showers near the pool or spa (only shower in change room), spa itself is too small, and during classes people are forced to squeeze into a very limited area. The place feels disorganised and lacks cleanliness and tidiness. Since WaterMarc is the same distance from me and charges the same price, the difference in quality is significant, and I’d much rather go there.
Positive experience: We’re thr today. But thy said kids pool open 4pm?.
Negative experience: This morning, I went to 9.30am class (30 strength )on 8 December (Monday) , they have 4 sections, each section have 4 people to workout. I book it and already start . After finish one section so i jump to next section , Suddenly, one lady was coming late to the class and she jump to my group. The instructor ask me where is your group. So I tell him that I was in this group with 2 Aussie ladies and 1 Asian lady. He ask me to change to another group. Excuse me I was here first, why you asked me to move to other group and why you not told the lady(come late) to join other group!!!!! I know this is a small problem Is not fair to me. He doesn’t mark attend as well. Way we need to book it just go it .Other class all mark attend. I will never join this class anymore. They NEED TO MARK ATTEND!!! Even thought is small class.

Negative experience: As a new resident to the area I was excited to join my local gym and pool. After 2 weeks of rarely being able to get into booked out sessions I recieved an email stating that my fees have gone up without any consultation. Multiple phone calls didnt help. Be careful joining this place as they only care about how many members they have and how much money they get. Very sad that gaining new members is more important that welcoming and helping the ones they do or did have.

Negative experience: Extremely difficult to try book a party, have filled the form out multiple times, spoken to online chat, phone called, emailed and no response for about a month now Extremely disappointing because I was looking forward to booking with them

Negative experience: Older lady working at the front desk today was extremely rude, spoke down to me when I was entering to attend a class, after previously being told to just go straight through when arriving. When I told her this she rolled her eyes as if she didn't believe me. I've been here many times and have never had that issue. Really off putting for an otherwise good centre

Negative experience: I went there for about two months, and during that time they overcharged my account three times. Twice they admitted it was a mistake and said they would refund me. The third time, the receptionist was very rude and dismissive instead of giving me a proper explanation. It wasn’t really about the money for me — what mattered was the disrespect and unprofessional behavior. That’s why I decided to join another gym where I’m treated with more respect.

Negative experience: We use this facility often but it has to be by far the dirtiest and most poorly maintained pool of any in the area. The kids pool has had traffic cones up for months and the slippery floor near the slide has had nothing done to it…other than a sign to say it might be slippery?! The toilets and showers are often not working properly and in general it is just filthy. It’s a really poor effort by whoever is overseeing the management of the pool area.

Negative experience: This is by far the worst aquatic centre in the North. It’s not child-friendly at all, as the kids water play area is hardly ever operating. Every time we visit, we’re told the kids section is closed — even during school holidays ♀️. When you ask staff why, they just look at you blankly with no explanation whatsoever. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. We won’t be coming back to this place again.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say thanks to teacher Bianca as she helped my daughter to improve her skills. She is now a level up to platypus because of teacher Bianca. I really appreciate her handwork on students. Also, I'm still waiting for the medal my daughter deserves as they told me she would get, but they have run out with the medals in the office stock. Don't know when would she get it.

Negative experience: Do not sign up for anything this center offers. Even after i cancelled my membership and im still forced to pay my membership for an extra 4 weeks after my membership was cancelled. Furthermore there are so many membership price increases over the time of your signup, youll end up paying double of what you intitially signed up for.

Negative experience: Today I went to the swimming pool with my kids and I was on a phone call for couple of minutes and the manager at mill park leisure centre Bradley comes up to me and tells me that I need to be supervising my kids at all times. The funny thing is I was looking after my kids the whole entire time. I don’t understand why he felt the need to come and approach me. Even after I explained it to him, he kept on going on about it. I feel this is an attack and after it being done multiples times, I also feel as though this is a racist attack. Everytime I have gone to mill park leisure I haven’t had an issue. I hope this problem can get resolved as myself and the kids always like to go to mill park leisure centre. Thank you.

Negative experience: Its a good facility. And please note I mostly only have experience of the pools and showers. What I've noticed is the poor management of the centre. The staff that work there are great, but it seems the people that own or are in higher management don't really care much about the place. Things are constantly broken and unsafe, especially in the water play area. The showers, once upon a time were broken and had very low water pressure, that too a long time to get fixed. Its just unfortunate as the centre is very nice especially after renovations but it cant be enjoyed because its broken all the time.

Negative experience: The actual time of the bus is different from the time on my phone. The bus is late and my phone doesn't show it. The bus is late every time, which brings me inconvenience!

Negative experience: I had to use the showers today and all of the showers were super dirty. The ventilation system in the changing room is not that strong, because there’s always a bad smell in there :(

Negative experience: I want to bring to your attention that I booked a trainer for an 8-week training program at a rate of $45 per session. The amount was supposed to be deducted every Monday, but there was one instance when there wasn't enough money in my account and a $15 late fee was deducted without any prior notification. I strongly believe that it would be fair and professional for you to send a notification if the payment couldn't be deducted due to insufficient balance. I was told that it's my responsibility to keep enough money in my account, but I expect better communication and transparency from your end. Additionally, I am displeased with the unauthorized deduction of $75 instead of the agreed-upon $45, and I believe it is essential for you to take responsibility for this error.

Fantastic experience: Having visited the place and tried swimming pool and sauna facilities, all of which are great. This makes me want to become a member here, and I did! Positive experience: I did adults swimming lessons there. You just need to find the right teacher for you. Harry S was amazing he helped and encouraged me a lot to learn and he’s very good with managing the lesson. Some other teachers they just talk most of the lesson and waste time I highly recommend lessons with Harry

Multiple times staff was informed that the male changing rooms and showers needed some attention, and today again i spoke with some old grumpy lady that was wearing yellow vest and fairy wings around the pools … just to get a response from her “Ok sir you have told us that 10 times” Hmmm… well yeah… exactly i have informed you guys on multiple occasions and also other members said the same thing about the situation and nothing is done to clean the male showers and the changing rooms!

Fantastic experience: Second visit taking family toddler for swim lessons; bit of a mix up locating appropriate swim class, it was hectic. We were told to go to 3 different lane locations. Perhaps we could have enquired at entry on check in? Made the lesson just in time. Fun environment, well supervised. Showers were clean but water in shower was cold.

Negative experience: It’s been a long time since YMCA bullied a teenage me trying to cancel a gym membership but alas nothing has changed. Enrolled my son into swim classes after a chat with a team member where they stated if my child was sick that’s no problem, you just notify and reschedule him to another day. This is a lie. They will charge you for the missed class and if you don’t find a class that isn’t full within their timeframe well your child misses out and they keep your money. They do not enforce any kind of sickness management so after several instances of my child getting sick from other classmates I opted to cancel his membership… but not by talking to a real person, go find the link on the website, email and wait for a reply. Of course once they manage to reply they will continue to charge you for 30 more days because they haven’t conned you out of enough money yet. Customer service is non existent. Would rate 0 stars if I could. Telling all our friends to steer clear. Disappointing.

Negative experience: Casual swim fantastic. HOWEVER swimming lesson fees are appalling... Swim staff are fantastic but when it comes to pausing lessons or cancelling classes due to being unwell- that's appalling.. they still charge even for daysss in advance notice when a child Is unwell.. they fail to realise that not every sickness requires a gp.. it's winter.. coughs and colds etc happen and at times gps can be heavily booked. And pausing services requires a fee per lesson per child.. absolutely ridiculous. And cancelling require a months notice. Mill park sure know how to make money! Disgusting! My daughter got sick the same day 3x showers were down and my kids were extremely cold... took them into the gym showers to shower them ... she was unwell for 7 days straight from that day. Not all children are used to having showers and walking out in freezing weather. That's how they become unwell.
Hi Kate, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that children become unwell as this is part of winter. Our Active world system is set up to ensure that the customer has full control of their child's swimming journey and this includes when children are unwell. Active world allows our customers to mark their child as absent with a cut off of 2 hours, so that that our customers can book a makeup lesson for their missed lesson when their child is unwell and others can come in to use this vacant spot when students are marked absent. Many customer's have been able to book more than the allocated 3 makeup lessons due to a software glitch, please mark your child as absent if they are unable to attend their class. Unfortunately, if our customer's require a credit for their missed lesson, we do need to have a medical certificate as evidence for these credits, we get audited regularly and need to have these documents to support the credits we raise readily available if asked for them during these audits. Our cancellation policy is explained initially when the booking is taken for our swim school program. Our terms and conditions are always available for all our customers to read when it is convenient for them. Fantastic experience: The management team is fabulous. I have an issue with my payment but they handle it really quickly via a direct phone call. Really polite and professional. I’ll definitely be coming back here after the winter for swimming, just because of theirs professional support. The way Mill Park Leisure handle the situation should be a standard for customer service. This 5 stars review is respectfully earned. Thank you.

Negative experience: If you respect yourself and your health, choose another centre. Poor management and no respect to the customers. Forget about the pool as well since it is not made for swimming if you know what I mean. I will never go to this dirty centre even to use their toilet. Not recommended at all.

Negative experience: Terrible service at swimming area, especially for kids: no hot water on the showers, there's not much water actually, maybe because someone decided to close the kids' warm pool 30mins earlier (right after the last swimming lessons), forcing all the kids & parents to swarm the showers

Negative experience: This has been my favourite pool for 35 years and even though it has been so beautifully renovated over covid and was superb to visit once it was ready but when I went yesterday after a year or so I was so disappointed....the water was so so dirty in the deep end with so much of stuff at the bottom...and the showers are pathetic with just a trickle of water and couldn't even get the right temperature, it was either so hot or completely cold....leave alone one cubicle wasn't working at all when got in to shower so had to gather stuff and walk into the next one to barely get any water out of the shower head. This is so sad and disappointing...Hopefully management will look into it. Thanks.
I’m sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at the pool. It’s frustrating when a place you’ve enjoyed for so long falls short of expectations. Dirty water and malfunctioning showers can certainly put a damper on the visit. Our shower temperature and pressure issue has now been resolved after numerous efforts by contractors.
Negative experience: Called the Leisure centre to discuss payment issues as my card was expired. Initially, I tried to get in touch with the company that texted me to update my payment details and I was unable to do it online as directed. Called the centre and I couldn’t actually chose the number from the list as there was no number to chose for account/payment issues. So I chose number 1 and eventually a female staff took my phone. She was polite and tried to connect my call to the concerned staff, but she could not. She took my phone number and said she will ask someone to call me back. Couple of days went by without a call back. I went straight to the front desk at the leisure centre and got my issue sorted. I suggest you should not have any expectations and my advise is to go to the centre directly if you require any assistance or to sort any membership issues.

Positive experience: Only commenting on pool area. First time visiting with 3 kids under 10 on school holidays. It was disappointing to see that the children's lane pool was out of use due to lessons and the only other age appropriate pool was not for 16+ (no signage to say this - - just asked to get out). There is still a fun play area for toddlers but no real options for actual swimming. Clashes are understandable but perhaps don't sell family entry without explaining limitations.

Positive experience: A bit claustrophobic if it's busy but I like how there's outside amenities like the bbq area and basketball court.

Negative experience: I suggest paying more attention to the cleanliness of the hot water pool and spa for better customer satisfaction! Unfortunately, there is stubborn dirt buildup in some parts of them, which is really disgusting!

Positive experience: It's okay, the lap lane availability on the website is not always accurate. I wish the life gauds or who ever, would police the lap lanes like they police the sauna towel rule. Countless times I've had to ask someone to move to the slow lane, and It gets heated sometimes. This aside, staff are friendly, bathrooms are clean. I've had to leave upon arriving sometimes due to the lap lanes availability being incorrect and it can be very frustrating as I'm always strapped for time due to work commitments.

Fantastic experience: Staff are very Friendly, Pool and Gym are Awesome and Family Friendly, Joining fee $17 per week to join either Gym or Pool or $21 per week for both, it actually works out cheaper paying weekly than annually. Check ✔️ it out.

Negative experience: 80% of the pools were taken by lessons and lap swimmers. That means the remaining children, teens and parents had to fit into the remaining 20% of free pool space. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room for everyone to fit into the 20%. This all occurred on a hot Sunday at 1030.

Negative experience: Extremely poor experience. I got messed around by this place, with the only resolution being an apology for doing so. Amelia, the manager, seems great and tries to be clear and communicative. Management above and those below seem incapable of acknowledging their mistakes and fixing it. Don't bother going to this facility.

Negative experience: very disappointed today at entrance, even no swim adult been charge $2 entry fee. kids used to learn swim there. Adult enter only to make sure kid is safe, not to swim. How come they insist to charge $2 on adult!

Negative experience: I already had a negative post up here in regards to the swim school and have since removed my kids from there even after management contacted me in regards to the negative review and "tried" to fix it but after attending today to take the kids for a play I feel the need to post again. Today was a curriculum day for my kids local school and a hot day. I paid for 4 of us to enter and once in the pool area I noticed that the shallow end of the main pool was being used for water aerobics. When I asked a life guard where my two 9 year olds and 7 year old were meant to play the response was "in the kiddies pool". I looked over at the toddler pool to see it jam packed with mums and bubs- really not appropriate for my 3 school aged boys to be running around in there. We settled on "the deep end" and the kids were happy for 15 minutes jumping in. I had noticed that the furthest lane was set up as a "recreational" area - not a swimming laps lane so we headed over there. My son jumped in and almost immediately was told off buy an older gentleman doing laps in the neighbouring swimming lane for splashing. So, my issues... *when a lifeguard witnesses someone telling off a child for splashing who clearly is not theirs they MUST intervene. *maybe contact neighbouring schools at the beginning of each school year to find out when curriculum days are scheduled so when older children arrive at the centre they aren't sent to play in the "kiddies pool" * maybe look at setting up water aerobics at the furthest end of the pool (I understand the ramp MAY be required by some attending the class so also something to consider). This may also fix the fact that all bench space except for the back window was taken up by bags leaving nowhere for spectators to sit and supervise. *way to many bandaides floating in the main pool *if none of the above is able to be done maybe advise families BEFORE they pay admission that it may not be an appropriate time to visit the centre. This is the final straw for me. My family will never be attending your facilities again. City of whittlesea and management should be ashamed!
We appreciate your feedback and apologise for the inconvenience. We strive to accommodate all patrons. Aqua aerobics is vital for our aging community, and the class only runs for 45 mins. It was 38 degrees yesterday so we kept the splash park open all day. We also publish Lap Lane Availability weekly on our website for members and guests to plan their visits. We'll review our procedures to enhance the experience for all.
Fantastic experience: Excellent all abilities facility with a wide range of activities including childrens water play area, swimming pool, swimming lessons, sauna, water aerobics, gym, aerobics etc.

Negative experience: The young new staff always have their backs turned away from the water, talking to eachother, or patrons, never watching. Have the audacity to kick everyone out of the warm water kids pool hours before it shuts, even if you’ve just paid to swim. Change rooms much smaller then before they were updated. Disappointed and wont be returning

Positive experience: Mill Park Leisure is a great place for recreational activities and working out. The staff are always friendly and work exceptionally well to keep the pool safe. The pool services the Leisure Centre provides are wide in variety, including but not limited to: Spa, Sauna, a warm water pool, a cold water pool, workout sessions and swimming lessons. The gym services the Leisure Centre provides are also plentiful and convenient, with a 24/7 gym with several high-end machines and tools. Both the gym and pools have access to a secure locker area, change rooms and shower, however the pool’s lockers do require timed payment or a membership to use. Memberships are quite expensive, to be paid weekly. The most common membership which includes the 24/7 gym access, pool access and locker access is valued at around $15 per week, making the Leisure centre much more suited to payment per visit unless you intend to visit the centre more then once a week.

Negative experience: Evil man detected this morning at this adorable leisure center. We were invited to leave the “physiotherapy” pool after Mr. Polite got distracted with us and could not finish his exercises. I hope he would be able to get some fresh air after the intense moment during his session. After I left the place Mr. Polite decided to leave as well. Oh how intriguing :) Unfortunately some evil group are still surrounding the Atomic Suburb. Thank you the Cafeteria Lady and the lovely Mr. who was supporting myself in a revolting moment.

Positive experience: Going to be honest the hygiene yesterday I saw people spitting in the pool and personally it's not the facility the staff are nice everything great but I think the staff have to stay on top of the hygiene of the pool but other than that it's a good facility

Negative experience: Very bad experience in the Swimming centre. One of the swimming centre officials shouted and scolded a 4year old child during an evacuation session in front of all remaining users of the pool yesterday. The child was new to the swimming pool and have little knowledge about the evacuation procedure.The child was very rudely shouted at by the swimming pool authorities who was already embarrassed and was overwhelmed by the mass evacuation happening around her. It would have been highly appreciated to have officials who are known and trained to approach children safely are employed in this centre.

Positive experience: Pool facilities have been upgraded. Great for little kids and families. The only issue was that there appeared to be a glitch with their locker system.
Negative experience: not sure what it is about but I have also gotten sick (sore throat and flu symptoms) everytime I have gone into the pool, just saw the other reviews and wanted to add my experiences as well,, hopefully the centre can look into this because I would love to go back

Positive experience: Friendly staff but there I was a problem with the lockers for non memeners , they simply wouldn’t work and we had to call staff to open the lockers if we needed anything Another issue was punters relaxing in the swimming lap zone were they shouldn’t be and getting them out was also a challenge Overall it’s decent and I would go there again
Positive experience: The place is clean and nice. My only complaint is the air quality feel very poor. Very high humidity and not much ventilated. The rest all good.
Fantastic experience: So beautiful multi spot leisure, special the pools as compared with the price it's wonderful, my advice is to bring some food if you plan to stay for long. Although the food is available at a small restaurant, i haven't tried it yet.
