Negative experience: I've been attending ITAC for over a year. The PT’s are very good, and I've had no issues in that regard. The reception staff are generally friendly but could use more training in problem-solving. However, the Help Desk has been consistently unhelpful, and phone interactions often come across as dismissive and lacking in courtesy, leaving a bad taste.

Positive experience: + Olympic size pool + Steam room + Sauna - Recreational pool was too cold to sit in and too shallow to swim in - People have to walk past the pool (in their dirty shoes) to get to the changing rooms. This leads to dirty areas around the pool. Not ideal

Negative experience: There is always something not working at this centre. I believe the project management is exceptionally poor. The reception staff are lovely though and the pool is great although on the cold side. Any issue takes forever to fix. No hot water last week and flooded change rooms. There needs to be a minimum of 2 hair dryers, preferably 3 in the main 50m change room. For weeks there has been none.

Positive experience: Sauna and steam room. Good high temps. Best value for money in Sydney CBD. Yes it’s municipal and all that comes with that (piercing kids shrieks, oldies doing aquarobics nearby but that’s part of the public spirit and people-watching entertainment of what a Baths has been for millenia). Clean and well maintained (sauna/steam). Pretty busy on weekends because it’s good. Go enough and you will get chatting to various eccentric regulars. Good for the lonely! A strong public asset for Sydney. More public pools should have high-quality saunas since it’s all the rage now.

Negative experience: Mens change room at 10:30AM - 2 showers without soap, 1 toilet without paper - but according to the log inspected at 7AM?? Went for a yoga class - the room was uncomfortably cold, aircon set to 21 deg C and cooling. Panel locked so couldn't be changed and the instructor was told it was centrally controlled. Too cold for a class like yoga.

Negative experience: I have been taking my child, Ian Thorpe for several years and have generally been satisfied with the instruction. However, my recent experience has been very disappointing. During this school holiday, we temporarily moved the swim class to Tuesday. When I contacted customer service on July 18th to move her class back to Friday, I was informed of a $44 transfer fee. This fee was never communicated to us beforehand, and I was told it had only been implemented on July 17th due to a change in the center’s point of sale system. It’s incredibly frustrating to be charged a fee without any prior notification. This lack of communication and sudden imposition of fees is very disappointing, especially considering our long-term relationship with the swim center. I hope the management will address this issue and improve their communication with customers in the future.

Positive experience: Used to close at 9pm, now closes at 8pm even though prices have gone up. Sauna closes even earlier at 7:30pm! For those who work & have traffic/commute you can't even get there in time on some days. Would be great to see the close time return to 9pm (even if just for the sauna), please make this change ITAC! (back to how it used to be). Then wouldn't hesitate to edit this review to be 5 stars. But at 7:30pm sauna close that's just too early.

Positive experience: 50 meters pool with fast, medium and slow lanes for free swimming. Leisure pool with jacuzzi. Both around 28 degrees. Sauna and steam room with a little extra price. Worth it and not crowded in non peak hours.

Positive experience: Slow/med/fast lanes might as well not exist as everyone just does what they want and the staff do nothing about it. It is a very nice facility though. Would rate higher if wasn't for the annoying guys training water polo wrestling in the fast lane

Negative experience: I've been a loyal 360 member of ITAC since 2017, and cannot vent enough how bad things have deteriorated since Belgravia took over; a situation that has consistently worsened post Covid. Put simply, Belgravia's take over is just another sorry case of privatisation: putting profit and cost-cutting first at the compromise of good and loyal customers. Belgravia continue to raise fees but for what I can't tell. The steam room and sauna are often closed (10-days currently) due to lack of regular maintenance and upkeep; while the tuck shop, which once boasted a fabulous choice of healthy eating options, shakes and fresh juices, was replaced by vending machines. Another example are the poolside lockers, which seem to be out of order every few weeks due to software issues that are never properly resolved and as such require staff assistance to get your gear in and/or out. None of this is fault of the staff, who are amicable and patient at the best of times, but rather the result of decisions made by beancounters at upper management levels. I would also hazard a guess the fast turnover of staff since the take over is emblematic of wider internal dissatisfactions. Strongly considering taking my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: They charge a full price for access to the sauna and steam room, but the steam room is consistently out of order. This results in overcrowding in the sauna, making it impossible to enjoy any benefits amidst constant interruptions. Save yourself the frustration and seek out a different establishment for your relaxation needs. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I'd give 1 star to exaggerate the steam room issue. Not planning to go there for a while.

Positive experience: Let me share my experience, somebody let a person come in which was not a member, that person requested to attend the toilet. Went into the changing room and I was having a shower with my granddaughter. I left my bags on top of the benches as usual, when I came out my wallet disappeared, with my credit cards, drivers license, opal card and all the rest as you can imagine. But especially a little letter from my latte husband which was with me all the time . My question is why that person was allowed to go in without supervision and allowed her to go to the changing room.

Positive experience: Good facilities over all. For a combo package sauna and steam are decent. If going for a pure sauna not so great. Mostly used by folks pre/post swim. The lack of water and low-ish heating on the sauna and constant open door makes it impossible to get a good loyly going. If you want a full package swim/sauna/steam, look no further. This was my regular for years and works well enough.

Negative experience: DONT ENROLL HERE. My 11yo daughter has been doing weekly swimming lessons at the pool for about the last decade. Suddenly a extremely officious and blunt attendant at the front desk tells me that I cannot enter to watch my daughter’s class unless I pay an additional $4. ( I had sent my daughter ahead as we were running late for class ). A manager was then called when I refused to pay. The manager, then chastised me for not supervising my daughter…. her coach was standing waiting 20 m from the front desk, and my daughter needed to walk past two attending lifeguards… I mean seriously!!…how much supervision does one need for a 5 foot 11 girl who is one month from her 11th birthday We will be looking for another pool with less idiotic regulations.

Fantastic experience: 1. 50미터 레인이 8개 있었습니다. 물은 차갑고 투명했으며, 토요일임에도 불구하고 사람이 없어서 보통 2명, 없으면 저 혼자 수영했네요^^ 레인 중간부터 깊어져서 마지막은 2미터 정도로 깊고, slow, medium, fast 로 레인이 구분되어 있었습니다. 2. 탈의실 겸 샤워실이 작게 있었습니다. 헤어드라이기는 2개 있었고 바디워시 외에는 구비된건 없습니다. 귀중품은 레인에서 보이는 보관함같은데 두고 수영했습니다. 3. 온수가 나오는 풀도 하나 있었고 아이들을 위한 풀도 별도로 있었습니다. 4. Exhibition 트램역에 인접하여 접근성이 훌륭합니다. 5. 갑작스레 간거라서 비치용 수영복을 입고 했는데도 별 얘기는 없었습니다. 입장료로 8불 조금 더 냈는데 시간제한이 있는것 같진 않았어요. 전 힘들어서 딱 1시간 수영하고 나왔습니다. 6.수영강국에서 느긋하게 수영해서 행복했습니다^^

Negative experience: Something is always out of order. Last week it was the steam room and lockers didn't work (again). Give it a miss on school holidays. Although it has a dedicated kid's pool, they prefer to take over the spa pool instead and use it as a water park. If you want to use the spa to relax and for remedial purposes you can forget about it.

Negative experience: We have been with Ian Thorpe for ~2 years and they have great facilities (gym and pool), but the staff especially the customer service team is ignorant, passive aggressive and unprofessional. We wanted to terminate/cancel the membership and it took us a week, The form on their website is NOT a confirmation and they will continue to debit even after cancelling the membership. I called the centre and asked them for a confirmation, and i was told it was cancelled. Finally i went to the centre and the representative tells me that it is not yet cancelled and they will be doing a direct debit for another week when the 2 week notice was already given. We approached the manager, and she took down the number to give us a call but never did. Very disappointing! TLDR; whenever you want to cancel a membership, get a confirmation otherwise they will continue to debit.

Bariscan el Duty Manager es una persona muy grosera , se rió de forma irónica mientras conversábamos para resolver el problema del robo.Cambió en tres versiones la posible resolución del caso sin resolver absolutamente nada. El personal movió mis pertenencias del baño a las 7:50 pm , y en ese mismo momento desaparecieron mis Nike Air Force 1. qué tipo de personas contratan ? Negative experience: Your lift has been broken for over a month, your restrooms are either closed or disgustingly dirty, with bathrooms sinks flooded every week we come here. The bathroom floors and showers look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Also many times the water in the showers is cold. You need to spend money on fixing your facilities and keeping them clean!

Positive experience: I think this could easily be 5 stars; stop charging the 2nd parent $4 for entry. Changing a toddler is hard & there’s a finite number of change rooms. Besides they could make a fortune by activating the cafe and balcony to offset that loss of revenue.

Negative experience: Non-existent customer service; centralised without direct contact with Centre; frustrating attempt to have my swimmers found within 30 minutes of leaving centre at 1pm on Monday, 18 December and it was a very quiet time at the Centre; cannot speak to anyone at the Centre directly; have to lodge a form; waited 2 days no response; called back Wednesday, 20 December. Could not revisit due to work commitments. No swimmers found and told given high volume of calls and serving customers they cannot always look for lost items. How hard is it to quickly speak to someone, if early attention given probability swimmers located in changeroom. The longer it is left the less likely the item will be found. Swimmers are expensive as is my membership with Belgravia.

Negative experience: Staff are rude. I entered at 7:30pm and was told at the entrance that I need to leave the facility at 8:00pm. This was fine as I was looking for a quick 20 min swim. And so I paid the $8.50 fee and entered. However, once I got ready at the pool lane at 7:35pm, another staff member said that I need to be out the water by 7:45pm ! Nobody mentioned this at the entrance. And the staff member insisted, and was downright rude. He just said that all of this is my fault, and that he doesn't care if they told me otherwise at the entrance. This was too little time and so I could not swim at all. At the entrance, I politely explained that they didn't tell me about 7:45 when I paid my fee, and asked for my money back. However, they said that they can't give the money back. This was on Saturday Dec 16 2023 at 7:30pm. Management, please do something about this, this is not OK. In the other reviews, you can see that I am not the only one with this problem. I find it ironic that somehow, management thinks that some amazing service is being provided at this pool. It is not. A few days before I had another experience: the touchscreen on one of the lockers was broken. When leaving, I politely told this to the front desk staff, but nobody paid any attention. Nobody was interested in knowing what doesn't work, no follow-up questions were asked, nothing. The two employees sounded surprised that anyone even bothers reporting broken equipment, and just kept on chatting with each other. Is it so hard to say, "Thank you for reporting it, we will look into this and fix it."

Negative experience: It is a police state in there. While facilities are fine, the staff are bored and unfriendly. They patrol and pick on people for very little reason, it's not about safety, it's about staff boredom and mini power trips. I rarely go now, because there are so many more friendlier options when it comes to swimming pools. On the plus side, because they are so unfriendly I notice fewer and fewer people have been going so it is very likely going to be quiet.

Positive experience: Got the free 3 days trial pass of 360 card and came here to try out the facilities. I had to fill up the online form again as the system couldn’t find the form that I filled up online beforehand. A tad inefficient in their system I would say. I had a brief walkthrough by the staff there, and I tried their fitness gym. It’s spacious and there’s not many people there during my visit. Plenty of equipments to use and they all seemed new and well maintained to me. I couldn’t get used to their equipments even though the functions are the same. The atmosphere inside the gym is as great though i found the place warm when I was working out. It’s as though the air con wasn’t turned on and they used the fans to cool the place down. A major downside to me as I found it hard to concentrate for my workout. I went on to try their swimming pool and spa as well. They all looked clean and I enjoyed the spa. It’s mainly because there’s only a few visitors there and I got to enjoy the space all to myself.

Negative experience: Great swimming facilities but some staff are so rude. I understand if you guys want us to leave at 7:55, but 7:45? A bunch of adult swimmers come to swim after work, leaving us with little time to swim. I don’t even bother showering or entering the change rooms after my swim so that I can swim 5-10 minutes more. All the other days many lifeguards asked us to all leave at 7:50 or 7:55, which is reasonable, but today this lifeguard started going around at 7:30 to every individual swimmer, warning everyone that the pool closes at 7:45. The lifeguard literally was following me throughout 3 of my laps to make sure to tell me 3 times that the pool closes at 7:45. I would be very grateful if I could swim in peace, especially after a stressful day at work. I do not pay money to be given more stress and feel even more pressure during my workouts. It is unreasonable to make all your customers unhappy by egging everyone to leave the facilities before the actual closing time: 8pm. It was very hilarious because the lifeguard let the private swim tutors stay in the pool while kicking everyone else out. I thought the pool closed, so why are they allowed to be in there while we are not? This happened today December 13 2023. Please make sure your employees are not going against the rules and making members uncomfortable for swimming within the centre time.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been coming here every week for almost seven years . Spacious, hygienic, aesthetic , and most of all, the heated pool all year long ! The centre has a friendly and effective management team and staff . Initially there was a senior staff who’s very racist towards non-Caucasian kids and got complained by quite a few parents. The centre dealt with the complaints immediately. After a thorough investigation the senior staff was removed for good. If not because we have relocated we would have still been here every week . They have set the bar high that I still haven’t found another place even match Ian Thorpe . I guess we will still be coming back for casual play . To be in compliance with their photo policy around kids and leisure pool no photo was taken around the other 2 pools . Strongly recommended.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the service given by 1 staff member here on Sunday morning. My son has swimming lessons here on Sunday. We come together as a family to watch him swim but today, for the first time, we have been asked to pay to watch our son swim. Unacceptable. We pay a small fortune to have our son take swimming lessons, parents watching this should NOT be charged to spend time as a family. If we were swimming i would understand. You promote yourself as a family aquatic centre. This is NOT very family friendly.

Positive experience: Good swimming pool with an affordable price. What could be done better: 1) not that clean, hairs and dirt everywhere, why is it allowed to come in with outside shoes on? 2) provide extra service with an extra charge: towels/slippers for rent, shampoo and so on.

Negative experience: Terrible staff threatened my wife that they will call child services if we changed over from watching our son. As only one parent allowed in two supervise. Even after explaining from now knowing we will swap over at the glass window at reception where we can clearly see our son. Said that’s not the rules after arguing and threatened I showed the lady at swim school the sign and she said ok that fine. To all parents you can change over parents if needed as long as your child is on sight and not under the age of five. Have requested T&C for clarification and could not be provided a copy T&C should be made available upon entry. Or atleast train your staff where to direct your customers through

Negative experience: We have had to change our lessons to another pool, being charged to watch our grandchild have a half hour lesson is an outright obscene grab of money, go to Annette Kellerman pool at Enmore Park where they welcome grandparents and DO NOT CHARGE.

Negative experience: The receptionist on Sunday mornings is very rude. She always pushed us to pay when we don't need to pay. Ordered me to pay a spectator fee without even checking the membership. She assumed I took my daughter to the swimming program organised by a private swimming school. She always assumes without evidence. This is disgusting!!!

Fantastic experience: サウナ好きの日本人から教えてもらったサウナ、プール、ジム併設の複合施設。 20時まで利用できて$12※ジムは別途 スチームサウナとドライサウナ80℃くらいがあって水風呂のプールは水深最大2m 温度は25℃〜30℃なのであまり整えないものの外気浴はシティを見晴らせるロケーションで最高。

Fantastic experience: Want to give a thumbs up to one of the front desk staff called Romina. Had a little incident few days ago. My 360 membership got cancel or deleted for no reason. The card didn’t work when I got there in the morning. But it was crazy busy at that moment. So went back after work to sort the card out. Romina reached out to assist me. She looked into the issue. She was very professional and sorted out my problem smoothly. She noted that I reached age of 55 and offered me the concession. I was to the moon and back. Top notch to Romina. Fantastic experience: I notice a guy staring at me for a long while and initially took it for a hot dude staring at me out of curiosity… Later when I had a chance to put on my glasses..only to realised it was a waxed model of Ian Thorpe in his prime staring at me…. ITAC as everyone calls…has a lovely atmosphere of an unfettered day… You are surrounded by dedicated lap enthusiasts some swim with majestic beauty others with frantic rhythms. The place is peaceful and clean. A place to swim without getting sunburnt. Dedicated 50m lap pool is as good as it gets.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre. I did my learn to swim classes with Oliver and I had exponentially improved in all the techniques, learned lots of new tricks and tips. Negative experience: All I can say is that its a shame that a large piece of very much needed “tax payer funded” infrastructure is operated and profited by Belgravia Group as their delivery and performance is consistantly out of libe with the very basic principles of customer service, value and respect. Ive been using the sauna to recover from injury over the last few years and theyre constantly broken. They have proven to be inept at programming seamless operation of these services despite running “all” sydneys once public pool system. The last straw for me was when a couple of women and another guy and myself were abruptly ordered to exit the steam room for a clean! This dood cracks the door open and jams in a door stop… There was nothing wrong with it and I had just paid and got in. Whilst the pool opens at 7 they dont want to let you use the sauna till 10 so they can save money for their company profits. Their website NEVER telegraphs when the steam/sauna room is inoperative “which is often”, also they don’t bother to operate the canteen at all and many of the staff have sullen faces and insipid vibes despite the few who make a sincere effort.

Positive experience: It's a popular place for locals to workout, swim or use the sauna/steam facilities. They also have classes, can't wait to try them. Unfortunately some days the air-conditioning isn't on or working, so the gym gets really warm. There should be more accessible fans in the gym.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and knowledgeable front desk costumer service. Seri and Suweta were very helpful. They were able to assist with my adult swim lessons. Seri also assisted me in signing up for the 360 plan. LaNell ( sorry for the spelling)is the best swim instructor that I have ever had. At 61 years old and several attempts at over those years, I made more progress and am totally comfortable and confident in my swimming. I can’t thank her enough.

Negative experience: Simply the worst admin I have ever experienced or you could imagine. Zero stars. Expensive, no waiting list for kids lessons, unhelpful and inept. Only two kids can fit on a family membership. Strongly recommend using any other pool in Sydney.

Fantastic experience: My trainer Sam is a consummate professional. He is very knowledgeable, while at the same time, very personable and has always been great at encouraging me to reach beyond my own expectations. I have lost at least 5 kgs in only 2 months of training while my body shape and muscle growth has so far improved beyond my expectations. I would recommend him to anyone. With him, you're in good hands!

Negative experience: Got to the pool today at 16:50. The kids pool was closed and the DM was using a long pole fishing net to scoop out the poop. 17:30 the pool was open for the kids. Is this safe practice? Did a quick search on the internet for the procedure to clean up. Is this correct? “It should only take about 30 minutes for the water to be disinfected, but it will take longer for the pool to get back down to safe chlorine levels before swimmers can re-enter the pool. It will take more like 12 hours to disinfect a pool if there was diarrhea rather than a solid stool.” According to this., safe practice was not followed?

Negative experience: I have made so many attempts to swim here but more often than not you can't get more than a few laps out because every lane is chock full of slow swimmers. Attempts to raise it with staff are met with incomprehension. For over 8 dollars a session it's just not good enough. Another example of how Sydney's great facilities, full of paying customers, become dysfunctional because of lacklustre management.

Negative experience: My daughter has been swimming in this swimming pool for years. Generally good facility and friendly staff, but tonight I had one of my worst experience. Upon exiting the car park, the machine can’t read my parking ticket. So I pressed the help button and hoping they will let me out as the lift is broken and it’s quite a climb also the parking fee is only 3 dollars. But I was told by Jonko I have to go up and pay for the ticket as it’s their procedure they can’t just let me out. So I walked all the way up and paid my 3 dollars. Then just before I’m driving out. The driver in front of me also had problem with the machine, but was immediately let out by the female staff after pressing help. I asked her why this driver was let out, she stammered and told me that driver only had Amex which is clearly a lie. I have no problem walking all the steps and pay 3 dollars as it’s the procedure. And I also understand the staff sometimes let a customer out in some circumstances to make customers’ life easier. But I’m disgusted by how different staffs treat customers so differently!

Positive experience: Good facility, particularly as heated, but expensive. No parking concession and as a parent am forced to pay $4 spectator fee (tax) to sit and wait for children to complete their swimming. Leichhardt pool a better option in the warmer months.

Positive experience: Pool facilities are good however, the provider they choose to use for baby swim lessons is horrible to deal with. I cannot recommend it to anyone, better you go to the private baby swim pools in the area. The knowledge of instructors varies greatly, some have clearly never thought babies before. It’s exactly the same activities every week unless a new instructor happens to run the class. Together with most parents from our group I have canceled but do their processes are so inefficient that nobody looks at the cancellation form which you need to submit online. Not worth the hassle, go elsewhere for swimming lessons, especially for babies.

Negative experience: Belgravia Management should start training the Staff and Life Savers to have Minimum Client Manners. What does Ian Thorpe think about this beautiful venue where Impolite and Not Trained People work every day ? Admin does not know basic stuff, you cannot ask them anything because they will not answer you. CLEANERS: why change rooms are always dirty? Why cannot this Aquatic Centre be maintained at Decent Levels of Hygiene? We think Belgravia Management does not offer enough and quality training for all staff employed. It is a shame having in view the infrastructure of this centre and the people’s money that contributes everyday to running it. Hoping for a better change and Sooner than Later. Please believe me, you don’t want me to post pictures with examples of mouldy showers and lack of basic hygiene in the changing rooms.

Negative experience: Think twice if you wanna sign up Learn to Swim as an adult. 1. When I sign up the front desk staff did not inform me that the contract will roll over after the 6 payments, and they only send the contract to my email afterwards. In fact, even the staff are confused about the terms. 2. Once a coach told all the members in an intermediate class we cannot swim and need to move to the beginner class after instructing us to swim non-stop on the deeper side of the pool. Plus her attitude is very bad and did not want to communicate properly; all she did was shaming and scolding us. 3. The facilities do not look like they are maintained. The shower room doors have black stains (mold?) on them and they never get cleaned. 4. The centre even charges for lockers and the free cubes are on the lowest level of the storages and one row only.

Negative experience: At this point the place is held together by duct tape...seriously they've duct tapped the water fountain. There's been a puddle of water outside the mens changing room for months, the showers are broken and half the toilets don't flush correctly. The place just seems so run down. Not to mention 5 out of 8 lanes are closed at busy times making it impossible to swim with 10+ in each lane. On the plus there's a super friendly receptionist chap who never fails to radiate positivity. He gets 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Really great place to swim laps if you’re in the neighborhood. The complex has multiple pools, including a large 50m lap pool. The water is a little on the cooler side, but still comfortable. The pool was clean and well maintained and the staff and other swimmers were friendly. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Good pool, best to get in early, if your an experienced swimmer you’ll need to stick to medium / fast lanes as too many floaters in the slow lane. Kids pool is good, good temp too, seems to attract grandparents though who mysteriously like to hover over the fountain jets.. anyway it’s a very well lit and ventilated space, the design promotes a really nice openness and it is actually quite pleasant. . Change rooms are reasonably clean and maintained. The cafe has been closed for a while now, would be great if they opened it, even if just for coffee and juice. Swimming programs are pretty decent, all the coaches we have had thus far for the kids- learn to swim and squads - have been great and I highly recommend them. On the admin side, not super responsive, I’ve tried calling a few times and just get a voicemail, email responses are not super great. Your best method is administer your account via the portal.

Positive experience: A well equipped gym and decent pool. The sauna and steam room are very nice, but sadly not jacuzzi or plunge pool. Absolutely stunning deck with view. Good array of classes but you can only book within 30 mins of a class with full membership surprisingly. Very friendly and motivating instructors and classes are never usually too overwhelming in size. Good location and affordable. After signing up, I was told I would have an induction where I would discuss my fitness goals. I sent across my availability and no one ever contacted me. Quite disappointed. Otherwise the admin team have usually been very helpful. They fixed an issue with my account quickly and reception is always friendly and eager to help. The women’s swimming pool changing rooms are usually quite messy and there’s almost always no soap in the showers. Perhaps need to be cleaned a bit more frequently. You can take off 4 weeks a year but you have to give 2 weeks notice. I would love for this to change as I have a disability and can’t necessarily give 2 weeks notice if I’m unexpectedly injured. Finally, the main swimming pool needs slightly better temperature regulation. It has been a bit too cold recently.

Positive experience: Sunday afternoon isn’t the best time to visit Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre. Half the lanes are reserved for swimming lessons, three are for lappies, leaving one for the everyone else that includes us. The Harry Seidler architecture is still enchanting, but the whole place is feeling a bit overused and suffering for it. The chlorine levels are hectic, making the place smell awful. You definitely need a shower immediately after a dip here. Temperature is wrong in the therapy pool making it too cold to enjoy sitting in the jets. Maybe we’re just out of the indoor pool groove, after so many ocean versions, but I doubt we’ll hurry back.

Positive experience: Great 50m pool with lanes dedicated to fast, medium, and slow swimmers. They usually have classes for kids going on and will only leave the center lanes for the general public. A casual pool visit is 6$ (concession) and a casual gym, pool, and sauna visit is roughly $11 (concession). I personally liked the fact that they had two saunas. My only criticism would be the lockers and not having a proper changing room. Otherwise, a positive experience.

Positive experience: I love swimming here. The pool is fantastic, the facilities are clean, the water is warm mostly and the showers are not always hot, staff are friendly and welcoming, parking underground if needed but not included, public transportation nearby. They can be a bit behind on maintenance sometimes with the sauna going down often and the lifts outside breaking often but otherwise 4 Stars, I had to remove one for inconsistent water temperature, seems the pool and the showers are unable to keep a constant temperature, be warned it’s cold some days.

Negative experience: Signed up to do a 3 day trial to see what the Group Fitness Classes were like. They do not respond to the online message system or answer the phone. Reception staff just on their mobiles. As an upsel to make you join...fail.
Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Claire - customer service officer today. I should have filmed how she mistreated me. I went to reception to inquire about parking, I DID NOT say that I don’t want to pay for the parking, I DID ask her how and when did they start to charge for parking - as I haven’t paid for the parking since I started my membership in Ian Thorpe (and later the other staff explained to me that parking system has been broken for a while). Suddenly, Claire started to accuse me that I am unethical because you haven’t paying the parking fee, asking that whether I am a staff member here - being sarcastic, emphasizing every single word such as the way the racist talks. I am not expecting a great customer service here. But she did not have a proper communication skill at all and/or problem-solving solution. It was the most humiliating and horrible experience EVER in my life. If you see Claire in reception, I DO RECOMMEND you to find other staff to help you as she is definitely not a good person to ask.

Negative experience: Pretty disappointing that ITAC don’t offer gym only membership to locals. It’s a full pro membership only, which is significantly more expensive and includes use of the pool whether you’ll actually use it or not. I understand the complexity is based on not knowing whether you enter the pool area and not just the gym but imagine there could be a work around solution, which they haven’t bothered to find. Staff at admin also inconsistent as one said I could obtain an active membership when I called and another said I couldn’t when coming to the gym to sign up. They were generally unhelpful in trying to find a resolution given it’s my closest gym.

Negative experience: I won't be coming back either after Allondra was rude to my friends. The whole reason why I signed up for a $1,400 per year membership is so that I can use your swimming facilities to improve my technique with the help of my friends who kindly give up their time to help me achieve my bronze medallion goal. Your staff should really reflect on the impact of poor customer service decisions and how to approach things differently in future.
Fantastic experience: I am a flight attendant with a layover in Sydney. To be able to train at a fabulous gym in Sydney and with a fabulous trainer “ SAM” after a 15 h flight.. it helps with my jet lag and keeping me focused. I have been a member here for a few years and watched Sam train so many people. He truly knows how to help each of us individually. Grateful and will keep on training with him!!

Negative experience: A big warning to management! The way your members are being spoken to is disgusting Your frontline staff have treated the daily clientele with utter disrespect and aggression - especially sauna and gym regulars. My partner witnessed an elder gentlemen berated for not having a towel in the sauna the other day. Rather than kill your business, learn how to operate a business. Your staff are slowly ruining, what used to be, a great centre to join
