Positive experience: I like swimming here, water is warmer and it's usually less crowed than the other pools

Fantastic experience: I had a welcoming & smiling young lady named Ali assist me in the gym this week. New to the wonders of modern gym equipment, I was patiently shown how the machine settings worked, their safety aspects and suggestions about exercises that shouldn't exacerbate an old injury. It was awesome to watch Ali display the same genuine smile and friendliness to everyone who was in the gym. I also had a spa which was relaxing and not too hot. A very clean & well run centre with friendly staff, the only downside is no cafe onsite. Cheers, Joanne

Fantastic experience: After my experience today I can honestly say I have never attended such a well managed, accomodating leisure centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and even offered me instructions on how to use the locker which I figured out by myself but the offer was appreciated. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature for a swim in this cold weather. My only grievance with this centre was that I have not visited this hidden gem more often in all my years of living in Geelong but I can guarantee I will be back soon! Thank you Splashdown and thank you city of greater Geelong.

Positive experience: Policy of not providing additional lanes for whitewater when there is a class of 22+ people (yesterday 21 women and 1 man) to keep maximum lap lanes available is skewed and could be seen as sexual discrimination. Of all 4 lap lanes two were in use for swimming by one male in each for some of the early class’s duration. By the end of the class there were 24 people and it was crowded. Awkward for instructors and lifeguards. Rigid (but unclear) limits on when class space can be increased made for much discontent with numerous participants. Shame. This is a lovely community place. Water aerobics classes are fun and excellent safe exercise for my arthritis.

Fantastic experience: First Aqua class at Splashdown 9.15 am Sunday 21st. What a fun experience. The instructor was energetic, very clear with instructions and was very kind. The water was perfect and not overpowered by chlorine which is something we have experienced at another centre. Loved the whole experience including the friendly staff at the desk.

Positive experience: A small venue but ok if you go before school is out as swimming lessons then take half the lap lanes. Also some people hog the spa and should be asked to limit their time to allow others some space

Positive experience: Enjoy a splash, spa and sauna there. There is a concern with the lack of warning signs and markings on approach to the pool. In some spots there is a drop of varying heights which patrons should be warned about. Otherwise my experience there is relaxing and pleasurable.

Positive experience: Great place to swim or gym. It's got a small water park perfect for toddlers and children. There is also a bigger slide for older kids and adults. The place is very clean and tidy but it's a shame there isn't a cafe anymore

Negative experience: Terrible. Drove hours to get there with my family of 8 to make memories. Waterslide closed. Lifeguard constantly staring at us, hassling us and didn't allow us to take photos of our kids having fun as it was their policy (even though we were the only ones there). Hated this place.

Fantastic experience: I go here 3-4 times a week. A very well equipped gym, 2 pools and excellent, helpful staff. Best on the Bellarine.

Positive experience: Really helpful and friendly staff. The big pool has a shallow walk in entry which is awesome for little kids. My 3 year old loved the little splash park slide area. They have ice creams and drinks but be warned they are quite pricey.

Negative experience: Always get a cold shower almost everytime

Positive experience: My first return visit to splashdown aftet lengthy period away due to pandemic etc. Pleasantly surprised with the Vibe around the place some new staff, friendly helpful service, nice to be back in the pool.

Fantastic experience: Always have a great experience here, the gym has everything I need and isn't crowded. The pool can be busy at times but patrons are very courteous. Spa and sauna get good use. Swim lessons are available from babies to adults too.

Positive experience: We go here twice a week for swimming lessons. Good pool for kids to learn to swim. If you are looking to do laps, might need to look else where. Really great Cafe here, can't go past the chips and gravey.

Positive experience: I enjoy this facility. I have kids with alternative needs and bringing them here suits us. The water slide gives them so much enjoy its inclusive because they would not be able to carry an inflatable donut up stairs to be included in fun activities. The splash pad is enjoyable for kids 12 and under and your pretty much able to be in one spot to watch your kids. I have found most pool attendants do a great job at making sure kids are supervised age accordingly.

Negative experience: Took 3 months to get a refund after the charged me on a cancelled membership. Poor effort for a council run service

Negative experience: Due to covid unable to use pass . Only 2 hours allowed. Make sure you que up prior as sesssions are 6-9 .9-11.11-13 .13-15. 15-17. Cost $8 per session and you cannot stay after your session Que again another $8 . Old passes or concessions not valid. Why? They make more than they did

Negative experience: My initial impression was this is a great place during school holidays to bring kids to have some water play but I quickly came to know about the reality. The staff is very rude and unprofessional here. I read the reviews and many people have said that. I was carrying my lap top while buying entry ticket but they said that I cant work while monitoring my child after I paid. They saw I was carrying my laptop open and still they took the money before letting me know. I told the person on counter I have paid now so what do you want me to do? He said ok lifeguard will tell you?! I later saw a lady not monitoring her child and reading a book. She was not told off. I am ok to not enter with laptop if you are returning my money or letting me know before hand. Not going again.

Fantastic experience: I frequent Splashdown for the gym, swim lessons and creche. The staff are all amazing: friendly and skilled. The stand out though is the creche, the staff in there are fantastic, my children always have the best time and look forward to going.
