Fantastic experience: I recently hired the pool, sauna, and spa at Ararat Fitness & Leisure Centre, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! Amy was incredibly helpful throughout the process—she provided everything we needed and was quick to respond to all my emails. The facilities were fantastic and extremely affordable, making it a great value for the money. In addition to the amazing pool, sauna, and spa, I also noticed they have a gym and a basketball court, which are wonderful added bonuses. Plus, they offer a variety of pool toys that kept everyone entertained! Overall, I highly recommend Ararat Fitness & Leisure Centre for anyone looking to have a fun and relaxing time. Thank you, Amy, for making our day so enjoyable! I will definitely be back!

Negative experience: Pretty sad, 1 girl gets told off for jumping, she wasnt running in, she on her own in the deep end then 5 kids arrive and run and jump in and done bombs and we're allowed to get away with it. This was in the deep end of the pool. Life save the other end of the pool no where near the kids. Parents not even watching their kids.... How do kids learn how to dive?

Fantastic experience: We are currently travelling on the road but ended up coming back to this pool and the olympic pool numerous times within the week as the staff and facilities were so great. Very clean and well looked after. Special mention to Mouse as he was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time swimming here. Was quiet, very clean and the spa was spacious with ample jets. Water temperature was perfect. The place looks unimpressive from the outside but it's a great facility. Nothing fancy but that's what we loved best. Staff were very friendly. We hope to come again because my kids had not had enough and were very sad to go

Fantastic experience: Dropped in for an early morning swim on way through from Adelaide to Melbourne and was blown away. Situated in a beautiful, rustic setting (think Melbourne city baths but cleaner) the pool is quite shallow(so feels really fast), super clean and water temp was perfection. Punched out 2km and had a quick stretch in the sauna (beautifully hot) and was showered and shaved and back on the road within the hour. What a diamond this health centre is. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Well done Ararat, I’ll be back Sunday morning on my way back to Adelaide. Cheers Seany G

Positive experience: Great potential but equipment is old, worn and and rusty. Dumbells have sticky tape peeling off the handles making it distracting to push the limits. Usually quiet though and staff are pretty good.

Positive experience: Little out of date but this facility has something for most people. Sports, Gym, Swimming, Spa and Sauna. Lots of fitness and well-being leisure. Friendly staff.

Positive experience: This a great venue just for lunch/dinner. Good portions at reasonable prices. I had the Parma and was happy with it. Everyone from the bar staff to the patrons are very friendly and pleasant.

Negative experience: Went there this afternoon with my sister and her children and was absolutely horrified. At one point there were probably 35 children (of all ages, including kids under 5) swimming in the free play section of the pool, and the lifeguard was sitting down, body turned away from that part of the pool, in deep conversation with two of her friends, absolutely not paying attention to anyone in the water. The water was cloudy and stung my eyes after only minute or two without goggles, which is not ideal when you're trying to teach your kids to swim. There will be a fatal drowning in this pool if the lifeguards don't start actively doing their job. What an absolute disgrace.

Fantastic experience: Well presented, clean facility and great staff very helpful . Parking at the front. Short walk sometimes required. No crowds and designated areas for different activities. Great work being done to teach toddlers water safety.

Negative experience: Finally the counsil will take over,some of the members doesn't even know how to smile

Fantastic experience: Ararat Indoor centre. I have been using it for three years.but come the end of the month when the council takes over will be the tellling factor. I have never seen a council do a good job of running an aquatic centre yet

Positive experience: Great place for the kids swimming lessons. I'm loving the indoor mixed netball. Gym classes are great (when I can actually get there ).

Positive experience: The place is getting a little long in the tooth. Some of the facilities could do with an upgrade. But nice to have a place like this in our town.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful pump instructors, they make the classes so fun, lovely big area for the class. Reception staff always polite & friendly. Worth driving the 50km for the class
