Negative experience: I cancelled my Pilates add on to my Snap Fitness Sunbury membership back in June, giving the required notice as clearly stated in the contract. Fast forward to October, and I discovered that $569 had been deducted from my account, four months after my cancellation. When I realised this, I contacted the gym immediately on Wednesday, 29 October and spoke with the Manager. I sent through my original cancellation email and screenshots showing the incorrect deductions to make it easier to resolve. I was told the refund would be submitted and that I would be contacted with an update, but that never happened. Over the next few days, I had to chase every update myself, calling, emailing, and even visiting in person. When I spoke with the Assistant Manager, I was told the Manager was away sick and that once the emails were working again, the refund would be processed immediately. Still, no one followed up or confirmed anything. It was not until today, Monday 3rd of November I learned the refund request had only been submitted on Friday the 31st of October, meaning nothing had progressed for two days despite my multiple follow ups. I completely understand that technical issues can happen. But in those 72 hours, someone could have simply picked up the phone to let me know what was going on. Snap Fitness has my contact details and knows who I am the moment I call. A quick phone call would have made all the difference. In the end, this was not even about how long the refund would take. It was about communication, respect, and integrity. It was about knowing what the process looked like and that the matter was being handled seriously. I had to specifically request a written email outlining what was happening because no one had proactively contacted me. Mistakes happen, but the silence and lack of ownership made this experience extremely disappointing.

Positive experience: Overall probs the best gym in Sunbury. Staff are good, they put in the effort to take care of the place which feels rare these days. Similar story with the customers after hours. Saunas are trash and take 1h just to get hot enough to be of any value. They should be left on during busy hours instead of each new person needing to waste time doing nothing. Seriously 40mins to get to 53C for a dry sauna is just dumb. Some of the equipment could use replacement/fixing. Overall, the best you'll find locally. Can only reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I used to train to snap fitness over 10 years ago that swapped to another gym but then decided to come back. Can’t even describe how much better the atmosphere is at Snap Fitness than any other gym I’ve ever trained at, the staff are all super lovely and welcoming and the facilities are amazing, definitely no better gym in Sunbury or probably anywhere than snap in Sunbury.

Negative experience: Average 24/7 gym. Clean. Decent equipment. Biggest problem is the fact they run gym classes on the open gym floor, playing music extremely loudly with absolutely disregard for the other people using the gym. Due to this reason I will probably be looking for a different gym.

Fantastic experience: I can’t believe what a positive impact joining Snap Fitness Sunbury has had for me. I can feel my strength, endurance and flexibility improving. It’s really exciting. The other day while doing some hamstring stretches, I suddenly noticed my shoes to be closer - wow - my stretching is working! Age-wise now in my early 60s, minimising risk of injury is particularly important to me, not only to maintain independence but also to help manage physical and mental wellbeing. Snap Fitness in Sunbury is such a friendly and supportive place. It’s a pleasure to be there and I look forward to going. I feel really welcome, and particularly safe there. Being 24hr is important for me, I can go when it suits me. The membership fee is very reasonable, and all the equipment is always available. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a member.

Josh the manager, always has such a warming smile, and everyone manages to make me feel so welcome (even with body insecurities and social anxiety haha). I’ve tried plenty of gyms during my lifetime, and I find Snap Sunbury, hands down the most comfortable for me. Definitely one of the cheapest, but you get SO much. Saunas, quality massage guns, Normatec boots!! I’ve actually never had to wait for a machine, and I go to the gym different times/days every week. There’s so much space, and range of equipment, and I like that there is a lot of leg/glute machines that I can use that won’t hurt my back, as I have a back/neck injury. Josh showed me some great exercises/physio movements to help with my injury, and they have been working very well. Aswell as the “recovery area”, being a great place to unwind, with all their luxury recovery equipment, I feel SO lucky I’ve found Snap Sunbury. I’m so excited to have finally found a gym that I WANT to go to everyday, and can finally get to the goal/results that I’ve been wanting :) Rated 11/10 ✅ thanks everyone at Snap

Fantastic experience: Gym is modern, well laid out with great amount of weight plates bars and dumbbells. Staff are friendly and accommodating and gym has a great community. There is also a stretching and rehab area as well as additional IR sauna and reformer pilates classes as well. A complete gym regardless of your goals

Positive experience: Much better after the renovations, bigger space so you don’t feel like you’re walking on top of other people. Never really have to wait for equipment, though depends on the time you go. Updated equipment would be nice like a Bike ERG or newer Assault Bike (the one there looks and runs like it was there on the gyms opening day. Also Wall ball targets on the rig, another Ski ERG and possibly a second a sled. The team are nice enough, a generally hello, nothing more though, which at a gym like this I have come to expect. The 2 PTs “Salberg Fitness” who even though I’m not a client go out of their way to chat to me and make me feel very welcome, great banter and their free classes are fantastic! Bootcamp and Spin are must do classes! Snapfitness app is lacking, hence the 4/5 star rating, the ability to change/update payment info, pay now button on app is missing and general management of your membership is not there. Meaning you have to wait for the team/staffed hours to have anything updated which as a 24/7 gym is very backwards, also I can imagine it creates a lot of extra work for the management team when other places let a member control suspensions, payment updates, manage their memberships. Other than that happy with the facility and location, if anything expand more so and offer more functional fitness classes, as a parent it’s tough to get to the times offered every week, would even be happy to pay extra for this, like Pilates and Sauna membership options.

You can choose a cardio or a strength building class, exercises can be scaled from beginners to advanced levels, if u can’t do an exercise for any reason the PT will suggest something else.
