Negative experience: I’ve noticed that some of the staff can come across as rude at times, now I didn’t appreciate the way the manager handled certain situations. When someone makes a mistake, it would be better to address it in a polite and respectful manner rather than pointing fingers or avoiding direct communication. I’ve also had a previous issue with another staff member being rude. At this stage, I’m continuing to attend Goodlife mainly because of my personal trainer, who has been excellent and very supportive. However, overall, my experience with the general staff has not been positive.

Fantastic experience: I joined Goodlife Toowoomba recently and have nothing but good things to say about it. Convenient location. Gym is always clean and the facilities are awesome. I love being able to get my work outs in before work and go from gym to work. Staff are all friendly and approachable. Happy to help with any questions I have.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and supportive team from reception, sales and trainers, and broad space with sufficient facility of weights, machines, and various classes onsite. There are also multiple plans for membership to enjoy healthy and active life too.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this gym highly enough. Definitely one of the best in toowoomba if not the best. Staff are awesome and facilities are great. Equipment is top notch and just a great vibe altogether. Every friend that i have brought along to the gym with me has thought the same. Bathrooms are always clean and even the members are super friendly and will always help out if needed. Would recommend to anyone looking at kickstarting their fitness journey.

It’s clean, well-organized, and caters to all fitness levels. A real standout is Chris, one of the personal trainers—his expertise, support, and positive attitude have been a game-changer. Negative experience: Where do I even begin, the gossiping, abuse and misconduct from staff has ruined my experience. I had been a member of Goodlife Toowoomba for over 4 years I use to love coming to the gym to train and became good friends with most of the staff. However the current management and staff conduct I feel extremely uncomfortable going to the gym. Harley, James, Holly and Sean are the only staff that are great. The reception team are rude and always gossiping. There’s a PT there who will harass you constantly during your work to talk all about himself. I emailed the regional manager about all the indiscretions and misconduct and was pretty much ignored. All in all the management and staff conduct is absolutely disgusting and I would never recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Do not opt for Lock in contracts, they charge you 3 months or more fee if you cancel, not worth it. Choose a gym that accepts a month to month and reasonable. I had to go for 12 months contract as Good life’s month to month was not worth the price they asking for the services they provide. Now my work is providing me Fitness passport for way cheaper price than Good Life and I can use many gyms and swimming pools and others… I requested to break contract, Michelle from reception charged me around 2.5 months payments ($195) as per contract, which I did not read initially and the person who signed me up did not mention about it. Always try going for No lock in contact, if it’s expensive, choose a gym that has Sauna and other and which is worth the money. Good life’s month to month is not worth and the Contract is painful to break. Research for gyms with No Lock in contract with reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best gym in Toowoomba. I joined Goodlife last year and has been a member for 13 months. I recently tried a few other gyms through Fitness Passport but didn’t like them. I really like the vibe and the quality of machines. I wish there was more boxing classes or boxing trainers.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a free trial and loved it! I trained with Harley and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. It was my first time back in a gym in years and he made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. The facilities were very well maintained and I didn’t have to wait for any equipment. I was so happy with Harley’s personal training I now see him weekly!

Negative experience: Some positives, but many negatives about this gym. Upon initially joining the gym, I loved it. Community of members were great. (Still are and have made good connections) But then I started to see all the flaws pretty quickly. None of the equipment is bolted down to the ground, now I understand there may be rules that apply to why the gym can’t. But this is a major safety hazard, I nearly flipped the entire lat pulldown machine at risk of injury with video evidence. A friendly staff member put a report in the feedback system, heard nothing regarding it and had to hear why through a PT. The PT team is 50/50, Saad, James, and Riley are great (I’d recommend them to train you, but maybe elsewhere) one trainer in particular Is known for being forceful of gym rules but doesn’t follow them all himself. And he likes to really stare at you when he’s training his client. Bit unprofessional taking more focus of people around you then the person that’s paying for your knowledge and expertise. (that’s my experience at least) As a fitness content creator I was told theres a no video policy, fair enough. Speaking with the manager, showing my hard earned following he said I was only allowed to record in places where no one would be in the shot to avoid complaints, which I respect. Thankfully the good areas to record have good lighting with no one around. Did so accordingly but yet was still told off by the manager himself and to a degree humiliated in front of another member. But yet the manager wants people like me with successful pages to promote affiliate links for a membership sale you have, scale seems one sided to me ♂️ I could keep going with the issues, but there’s too many to talk about. If you’re passionate and serious about training, or you’re a content creator like myself. Goodlife is the last gym in Toowoomba you should think about signing up to.. *(Photo is the base of the pulldown machine lifting off the ground entirely when applying minimal effort to the leg support beam)*

Positive experience: If not for geographical convenience, I'd change gyms. I've had a dozen personal training sessions with James who was great every time, but that's about it for positive experiences here. This gym does not use its floor space effectively. On multiple occasions I've been unable to exercise because all four squat racks are occupied while the twenty-five treadmills they have sit there gathering dust. Their direct debit system does not work properly and will randomly give a phony charge for insufficient funds. I frequently see weights left abandoned on equipment and on the floor - there's apparently a rule against this, but staff evidently aren't very interested in enforcing it. Finally (this is a subjective point, I know) the playlist they have on here is impressively bad - bring your own headphones. Giving three stars purely just because James was so good.

Negative experience: Been a member here for the second time and there’s still a lot of thing needs to get fixed, Trainer her self just literally toss equipment aside at a very dangerous spot where someone can trip over it, and while someone’s working out.

Negative experience: As noted by so many others in their reviews of this Gym, they take no accountability for their sketchy debit system and charge members charge upon charge of late fees due to “insufficient funds”, which was never true and proven. When you provide evidence of the mistake, you are told there is nothing to do about it but cancel. so you are left to either continue paying an extra $10 a week and manually paying you membership on top of this, or pay the cancellation fee. either way, they know what they’re doing and they win. and from reading other reviews, they do this to literally anyone that is an risk. I wish i read the reviews before jumping into this contract, i hope i can at least help someone not make this mistake either.

Fantastic experience: I feel comfortable @ Goodlife Toowoomba from the moment I am greeted on entry with a welcoming smile and chat. A diverse range of people, ages and abilities with far more than enough equipment and add-ons to cater for all levels of fitness, Defence and ex-service programmes available. Personal Trainers, fitness classes and individual cardio studios, 24 hrs and easy parking and another smile and chat on the way out.

Positive experience: Always clean and has nice high ceilings. Can get busy in peak times. I have noticed the leg extension, leg curl, lat pulldown and cable row are always used and you have to wait, however the 50x treadmills there barely have anyone on them. Maybe sell some treadmills and replace them with these other machines. Also, it's the only place in Toowoomba you can get ur Cert III and IV for personal training.
Negative experience: Predatory. If they offer a contract run! In 2022 signed a contract i was told was 12 months. Wasnt given chance ro review contract just told to sign on the computer and to my regret i did. Fast forward to april 2023 i believed i was out of my contract and needed to cancel my membership due to health reasons. Being out of my contract i thought i could give notice straight away but was told that had to give 30 days or medical notice. Having dealt with the gym for they past 15 months i was not confident to provide them any personal information and reluctantly gave notice. 6 weeks later they are still taking money and when i questioned the Manager Nick he advised my in writing that because i gave notice 2 weeks left to run on contract i would have to pay $195 and when i asked to take my dispute higher he refused and said he was the manager and he could do what he wanted. Overall ther are many fine gyms in toowoomba please be very careful with this one very unhelpful and the contracts are 100% Predatory

If you prefer not to do this and have not yet completed the minimum 18-month membership term, there will be an early exit fee. Fantastic experience: I joined this Gym in March 2023 and I am so happy at Goodlife! and I’m loving the group classes. It is truly one of the best gyms in Toowoomba. It’s been a year now and I’m still committed to the classes. If you need a gym this is definitely the one to be at. And love Tash and the other instructors.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to this gym for just over a year now and love it. There are so many trainers and workers who are there to support you if you need it, plenty of space, machines and equipment, and the facilities are very spacious.

Negative experience: Been at this gym for over a year, the weekday crew are excellent but seems the weekend crew don't care, they turn up half an our after the gym should open (8am sat 9am sun) and never apologise, im not old enough for a 24 hour entry pass so I'm sitting out the front waiting when I have better things to do

Negative experience: 10.2.25 after one full year of my son completing the 1 year contact. Now this gym wanted to ripped off my son to pay for 1 full month just to cancelled his membership. Please I urged people to stay away from this gym if you don’t want to have headaches when canceling. If only I can give 0 star I would. This has been an unpleasant encounter with the gym. I regret not checking reviews before joining. It's disheartening to be charged $10 despite an ongoing dispute with my son's account, and the resolution is pending. I wouldn't recommend this gym; look for a place that respects its customers and doesn't overcharge them.
Positive experience: The good: It's spacious and clean, and there's plenty of equipment. A variety of trainers are available - Sean is great for those wanting to work on mobility or rehab as he works with your comfort levels. The front desk always greets members, which is a small but pleasant detail. The bad: the functional fitness area is essentially unusable 9-11 Saturdays as a class is set up and run during this time. Patrons don't always have gym etiquette re: re-racking/putting equipment used back (mostly noticeable on the weekends/after hours). Some of the equipment is starting to wear out, e.g. benches starting to tear/some treadmills out of order.

Negative experience: Honestly this gym equipment needs to be updated, there are better gyms in Toowoomba that update their machines. More of the items that are used quite often and less cardio machines. Place is dirty especially in the bathrooms sinks/showers I’ve only heard negative things from the staff and all quite gossipy
Fantastic experience: Been at Goodlife for one year, had a terrible start with the jumpstart with one of the pt however training with other pt such as Chris and Hayley has made it the most comfortable and amazing experiences at the gym. Chris and Hayley are super knowledgeable, respectful and kind, they understand your goals and what you want to achieve. They will help you understand what machine you will need to use to achieve a certain look. 1000% reccommend Chris and Hayley they will work around your schedule and none judgemental at all. :)
Negative experience: Only went short time was ok at first,but when there is a problem manager doesn’t get on top of it , left cause wasn’t comfortable there and environment toxic , it’s all about money than actually caring for the person .
Negative experience: Used to go to this gym and in the beginning it was good. Clean gym but the staff needed some work. Left because of personal reasons and because most of the PTs suck, the classes were mediocre (especially the yoga/thai chi classes) feels like the "class teachers" were always rushing to leave or had something better to do. Found out all the previous staff and the previous managers all left because of how terrible the working conditions were. Have some friends who still go to this gym and say the new manager or the guy with the tattoos is a huge flirt and has a wife and child. Toxic environment and wouldn't recommend unless you're just going in to train then leave, and even then, there's a bunch of better gyms in Toowoomba that are 100 times better.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Very convenient location and always heaps of parking, so easy to get in and get out. Woolworths is just downstairs, so easy to get your groceries straight afree your gym session. Access to the gym is from the car park, so no need to enter the shopping centre. Been a member there for numerous years and never had any problems with the facility. Nick the manager is always around, friendly, respectful and easy going.

Positive experience: Gyms alright, the staff look like theyve had a really bad day. The sales team are alright but all the deals just seem dodgy.
Fantastic experience: I joined for a place to have showers as I don't live in Toowoomba but work here. Staff fully understood and haven't had one try and push me into working out. So I actually had to ask how to use the walking machine as it's all new equipment and I had no idea. The counter staff are very easygoing and up for a chat. As I said I don't live in Toowoomba so don't have friends yet to just chat to before work and it doesn't matter who is on the front desk they will chat. Without a real workout I've lost 5 or kg now just walking. I highly recommend this gym.

Very clean gym with high ceilings for fresh air and great atmosphere with a variety of different spaces even at their busiest times. All I wanted to do was to pause my membership (Suspend it temporary) because their so called Debit Success tie-up was charging me $10 extra for last two payment cycles. Long story short I was also sold my membership with fake promises by the so called manager called Corey (which they advised me left) but my lord this lady was some extra level been arguing with me over the phone call that I gotta call Debit success for this I asked her their number she said she doesnt have it on top of that rudely talking to me over the phone call (When I mentioned I had no intension to argue with her neither I had any personal problem with her) all she had to do was to direct me into right direction but she had ego there and hung-up the call literally slamming the phone receiver (I could hear it on this side of the line) which left me shocked and wanting me to cancel my membership after facing this issue again with Toowoomba Branch. P.S. may be train them to serve your customer well. Thanks (One nice regular member)
Negative experience: Don't reccomend signing up with this Gym. As mentioned before they use a third party company for payment deductions, and their system in my opinion scams people out of $10 surcharge late fee stating " no funds in account". There are other gyms around that offer the same space without the hassle of dodgy third parties.
Negative experience: Wish I could give zero stars. After doing 12 month contract I cancelled as is my right. . Then they kept levying charges through their dodgy set up with Debitsuccess. And continue to do so and threaten debt collection charging me for time I have not been at the club after cancellation. Money grabbing is an understatement. Alongside this dodgy contracts including with a minor who was also threatened with debt collection. Absolutely disgusting. Looking forward to the fight with this mob of charlatans. Avoid at your peril.
Negative experience: Member since early 2021. I’ve had a personal trainer the whole time, but they recently terminated my trainer’s contract on the spot, without allowing him to forewarn his clients. I also understand no major misconduct occurred that would warrant immediate termination. It just shows this gym didn’t consider myself or the many other members who used this trainer before making their decision. At least I was able to painlessly exit my contract and follow my trainer. As for the gym itself, it’s fine. No capped membership as far as I know, so 5pm was often very busy.
Fantastic experience: So glad I chose this gym, loving the place right now!! (It's only day 4, my legs are not that sore yet). Staff are very kind & helpful, got the payment plan sorted day one. Gifted a back-pack & 2 drink bottles. I love the "all in this together atmosphere", good music, music videos available to view on all of the walking & bike machines. Very clean & tidy, all the equipment works perfectly, is brand new, Matrix written everywhere. A greenery garden in the middle of the bike area is lovely, half expecting a frog to jump out. There is a huge group fitness room, all new, great lighting, plus a pilates/ barre room, a circuit only room, plus a workout area with a view. Showers & lockers & WiFi available. 24hr access, I have already been in on the weekend. Group exercise classes are available plus you can study fitness through the club. Aren't we lucky.

Fantastic experience: I started at Goodlife following a course provided by Diabetes Queensland. I enjoy the facilities for several reasons. 1. Always clean and well looked after 2. Staff generally are friendly and approachable 3. There is a good, diverse range of patrons 4. The atmosphere and members are not judgemental 5. Equipment is always well maintained I am a 66 year old male who underwent a quadruple coronary bypass in October 2020 and find the gym is helping me with my rehab and with maintaining my weight. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: Website says they have a sauna. Staff say they don’t have a sauna. Would’ve thought that’d be fairly easy to correct.
Negative experience: Very awful experience from the very beginning. Would not recommend. I've been a member of Goodlife on and off for many years but the Toowoomba location has been the worst to deal with.
Negative experience: As a previous staff member (PT), I would not recommend any consideration to work at this club. In my opinion, they take advantage of new pts into the industry. They provide no support or adequate training for their staff members, using lying tactics to get PT's to sign contracts and no consideration for medical issues whilst they continue to charge them $310pw whilst unable to work (even when provided medical certificates for things such as autoimmune disease and urgent surgeries). If you google "pt makes commercial gym unpaid labour allegations", it shows just the surface of the corruption in this company. Requesting that their staff and members (that are friends of staff) leave 5 star "amazing" reviews is very apparent when you look at the contrasting reviews which in my opinion are a more accurate representation of the company's operations and behaviour as a whole. This club does have a few good staff members but as any member can inform you the staff turnover is unbelievably high which should speak volumes about the quality of management and the treatment of staff.

Positive experience: I do 4-5 classes a week and my hubby joins me most times. They are good teachers. The classes are enjoyable and a a great form of exercise. You can just use the equipment if that's your thing.
Negative experience: Avoid this gym at all cost. They use a deceitful company called Debitsucess to collect gym fees. Google them, the reviews speak for themselves. Staff tell you can cancel at anytime with an exit fee .fair enough...but don't mention you will still be paying fee for the next five weeks, until they chose to confirm exit. Disgusting

Fantastic experience: I joined Goodlife Toowoomba almost 12 months ago after 3 years at a couple of other gyms..... what do I like about Goodlife Toowoomba? Several things make this fit perfect for me. The location is central and handy to the shops eg Woolworths... I like that all the equipment is of a high standard, clean and suits my workouts plus I rarely have to wait to use a particular machine... i also find the classes good that I can do one if and when I want, as a change up to my own workouts the Pilates and Yoga classes offer a great mix. It is a warm and friendly environment, I dont feel judged and it has become a little bit social as well as I am making new friends. The staff are always welcoming and greet you on arrival and offer a goodbye as you leave. The change rooms have clean showers and hairdryers plus straightners so you can leave as glamourous as you like! And finally the weekly price really suits my budget, it means i can gym as often or as little as I need depending on my busy schedule without feeling guilty of wasting my membership. I would definately recommend considering Goodlife Toowoomba if you are looking for all these things in a gym.
