Positive experience: I love this place. I have had membership for 4 months. They have the various of classes and the PT in here always listen and well-arrange the sections, which are suitable for my health. The downside that is the Pilates classes are always full and it's quite hard to booo

Fantastic experience: Reformer pilates at Newtown was a challenging workout but that's what I wanted. Felt good after class. The best thing was the mirrors on the ceiling which I haven't seen before. Made it easier and added to the atmosphere. Relaxed atmosphere. Recommend.

It’s the real deal - the instructors are kind, the culture is welcoming and personal, and the price point is outrageously good. I don’t think there is another gym in Sydney where you can get so much for so little. A++

Fantastic experience: I must say I really enjoyed this gym during my extended time in Sydney! They offered me a PT consultation and the gym has plenty of machines/areas to workout in. One of my favorites was the push path in addition to the turf area! I would love to visit this gym again. Totally recommend it to anyone in the area or commuting in to the CBD!

Positive experience: Great gym overall. Like any other gym, it gets busy between 5pm -7pm. Waited a good 15 minutes for a machine and a PT interrupted after my first set and requested to jump in. We don’t interrupt PT during their session with clients, would much appreciated if they can do the same.

Fantastic experience: I went to this gym whilst visiting Sydney and amazing is an understatement. The staff working were incredibly helpful! Usually a new gym is really intimidating but that wasn’t a problem here. 10/10 recommend. Wish they had a gym like this in cairns !

Fantastic experience: An amazing gym with such a good variety of classes and at different times of the day. The instructors are so friendly and motivating, it is the first time I have really got into fitness and it is because I enjoy it so much, it no longer feels like a chore.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I have been using the space for around 8 months now and have never had any issues. The staff are all lovely people and the community of other gym-goers are very friendly. The interior is very appealing and clean and there is a great variety of equipment. It closed a few times for maintenance but when it did, the access card is allowed to be used at a nearby, equally as great, gym!

Negative experience: Easy to join they keep calling you to join. When I fill the cancellation form month a go nobody call me or updated me. Just got messages I owe them money. If you wana leave lady staff will keep trying to make you stay. They can make you uncomfortable and pressured too. Offer me 1 more month free. Sometime we don’t need freebies just cancelling will be enough for us. Sam was amazing he didn’t put pressure on me.

Fantastic experience: One Playground is without a doubt one of the best gyms I've been to, in terms of facilities, class schedule and service! I've been a member for 4+ years, and plan on being a member for life. Classes are a hugh recommendation for anyone wanting to get fit and enjoy themselves at the same time.

Negative experience: The classes are great but they book out so quickly. My reason for the low review is the gym floor. It’s quite small, dark and not very motivating. I’ve gone to much cheaper gyms (anytime) that have a gym floor that is spacious and motivating. This is also a petty point but you can hear weights thumping on the roof of the “mind body room”, which is meant to be a peaceful space. It’s just not worth the money.

Negative experience: bad customer service where the guy who sit in the office can't do anything done, from swipe card and looking for lost item in the lost and found drawers. the men's toilet also dirty and stinky af, I can see lot of dust in every corners where clearly they didn't hired cleaner to do the job properly.

Fantastic experience: Very comprehensive training facility for people of all different levels (beginner to pros) & modalities as well (bodybuilder to crossfitter). The design and aesthetic is beautiful as well which is a great plus point for our social media era.

Positive experience: I’ve been a member for about a month, this gym is really small inside, it feels really overcrowded especially after work hours. it can feel overwhelming. but it’s got all the equipment and the classes are really good. i was curious about a personal trainer at the beginning of my membership, my warning to you is never bring up private lessons unless you truly want it, they give me phone calls constantly questioning if i’m still interested and what my goals are and why i’m no longer interested, i just blocked their number and anyone who introduces themself from the gym i just hang up. there’s no car park and the parking around is paid only for a limited time. recommend catching train.

Always clean , Any broken equipment gets fixed immediately, friendly staff and I also love the fact it’s not flood lit like airport arrivals hall . The people who use it are pretty cool too . Fantastic experience: One attribute about One Playground that I love, is that it offers value for money to its members. I appreciate the effort where the OP team sees the importance to invest in areas that would bring value to its members. Firstly, OP breaks the norm in offering great aesthetics and design to how a gym should look like, the gym offers well-maintained equipment, quality fitness classes by really good instructors (I regularly attend spin, barre, bodyburn, dance/burlesque, yoga, reformers pilates and do a jog on the treadmill and have mentally and physically benefitted from the great classes), which differentiates the gym from the rest, seamless app booking experience and on top of that, amazing branding through its physical gym and online presence. To me it’s a whole great experience being part of OP. Everyday at 12pm, l would set my alarm to book my work out for the next 3 days, plan my outfit, when I arrive before my workout, I would take nice photos of myself with the aesthetically appealing interiors, and after working out, I would also take some feel good photos to post on social media to track my achievements and progress. I believe that the OP's business model works and would continue to grow beyond Sydney and around the world!

Fantastic experience: Had the best time training in this centre! Zoe the gym manager took a lot of time and effort in encouraging me to commit to a program and was excellent, she would check in on myself and I'd also always see her in the gym itself training! I got linked with Sam as my PT and he's been excellent with injury recovery especially in bringing out weak/compensatory mechanisms and correcting them. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership as I was moving away but would definitely get day passes to visit the gym when I'm in Sydney! Overall - excellent team, enjoyable and challenging classes, good facilities, would 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: A well rounded gym for all types of training that caters for all people that would like to improve their physical and mental well being. The trainers are positive and supportive and help to create a great inclusive atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: One Playground is such a versatile and engaging gym!! I love the range of classes and equipment, how welcoming the staff are, and how the trainers and group fitness have a great balance of pushing and challenging you but also being mindful that everyone is coming in at different levels. I especially love the quality of the Reformer Pilates classes (shoutout to Maggie Dixon-Best and Jay!!) and how the Athletica Fit classes are never the same but always fun and super challenging. This has been the gym I’ve stuck with the longest and has really helped me to feel inspired to stick with my fitness and wellness journey.

Negative experience: I used to be a member and tried to rejoin the club but I’m quite turn off by their approach to sales. I have asked for the prices over the phone explaining that I used to be a member and just want to know the price to rejoin the club. Got told that I would get a brochure sent to my email but got an email from the club manager asking me to visit the club. All I want is the price and I also can’t come during business hours as explained. This is actually my second attempt to get the price in the last 2 months and I still don’t have that information.

Negative experience: Went to a class there through class pass. Received an email telling me I'll be charged for a no show despite attending. Then told I need to fill in forms within 48 hours or I'll be charged. Others who are members also complained during class that their app doesn't work and wouldn't let them book in. Suggest you think about approach before demanding fees from paying customers who attend your classes.

The reason they are doing upgrade till end of this year . Negative experience: Basic gym. Sometimes the cardio equipment works sometimes it doesn’t. The gentleman’s club Brooklyn aesthetic they’re going for is pretty clever for hiding general unkemptness - change room floors are a shade of dirt-grey, light sockets without lightbulbs, broken mirror that never gets fixed, toilet doors without hooks or handles so you have to jam your fingernails into the door gap to get out of it etc

Negative experience: I was online booking a boxing class through website system on 11am Sunday. I received the confirmation message from stuff. So I was planning coming half hour before and waiting. Until 11:20 the stuff still busy and I come and ask her what happening, she told me the booking is only for consulting not for class, class can only booked through phone call. I was totally surprised, the website advertised first free course through booking. No one will booking for waiting stuff selling class which can be done easily through phone call!!! But no one call me or message me to explaining!

Fantastic experience: I LOVE Surry Hill Fitness Playground. Their classes are fantastic (great combination of a tough work out whilst still remaining fun) and their trainers friendly and encouraging. I've always found gyms intimidating, but I am SO glad I joined FP. Particular shout out to their Athletica, Barre and Reformer classes.

Negative experience: Been training here for years and it’s clear that the owners don’t listen to their customers and accomodate only to themselves and making money. The areas of the gym where fitness classes and PT sessions take place are constantly upgraded but the rest of the gym has remained the same for years, especially after re-branding to OnePlayground, the bench press on the ground floor is un-usable but they don’t care because it doesn’t provide them any more revenue if they listen to their customers and upgrade faulty equipment

Fantastic experience: Still can't believe the results since I joined the Surry Hills gang back in July. The classes are all fantastic and the coaches even more! Colleen, Jackie, Sjoerd, Angela, Jose, Sean...just to name a few, they are all extremely professional and prepared, and make sure each class has the right balance and rhythm to take you to the next fitness level. The facilities and equipment are also top of the line, so definitely a 10/10 for me.

Positive experience: I love this gym. Great equipment and great classes and you can book classes with Class pass! I will love to give a 5 star but I wish they have more calisthenic classes and some of the classes are booked out way too quick. Other than that great gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, the instructors are really knowledgeable and the classes are enjoyable as their music is great! Showers need a little upgrade at Surry Hills so I prefer afternoon classes there.

Negative experience: Partner and I signed up to a free trial and paid $99 each for the key cards which we were told (by Sam at Bunker) is refundable whenever you cancel your membership. We were members for 4 months paying $44.99 / $39.99 a week each and after cancelling, were told the $99 key deposit ISNT a deposit but a one off payment. Nice gym but overpriced and hidden costs I.e. the key card.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. Unlike other well known gyms in the area, One Playgound invests in maintaining their gyms. The Marrickville and Newtown gyms are especially nice and their memberships are very reasonably priced. I primarily go there for the classes which are extrememly popular and are usally booked out.

Fantastic experience: I have just joined One Playground and loving the experience so far. Such a great variety of classes including strength/power classes that use a mix of equipment, different types of reformer pilates (currently my fave), various styles of yoga, and innovative classes like circus fit which I haven't seen elsewhere. The instructors are all friendly and welcoming to newbies, as are the membership team and trainers on the gym floor. However I wish a better variety of classes would be offered at Surry Hills on Sundays, not just Athletica. Eg - flow yoga (and other styles), pilates, mobility. Free towels in the changerooms would also be appreciated, as are provided by Barry's and other boutique gyms.

Fantastic experience: The best!! I have been a member for a number of years now. I can honestly say it is the best gym I have been a part of in 15 years. All the trainers are friendly and helpful, I love the actual studio and the Surry Hills location is perfect . If you like classes they have so many that are very different to what other gyms offer. I can't imagine not having FP in my life.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best gyms I've been to in my 10 years in Australia. Yes the classes book out fast (you gotta be quick and set reminders) but it's because they are great. The trainers are friendly and encouraging. They put up with my foolishness and make the classes fun. I'll be sticking around while I'm in the area. The facilities are nice as well. So far I've only done the classes so I can't speak for the equipment but they look pretty as I walk past them to my class.

Fantastic experience: I've always been intimidated by gyms, but after moving to Australia, I decided now was as good a time as any to try it out. After some initial confusion with the personal trainer first assigned to me, I already wanted to quit. But Quintin, the club manager, was very kind and really listened to me, convincing me to give it another shot. I'm so glad he did because Gemma, my current PT, is honestly amazing. She really takes the time to listen, is always super supportive and is just a great PT. Every session is a laugh with her and I always come away feeling great. All the staff at Surry Hills are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The intimidating atmosphere I had anticipated just doesn't exist down there. The gym itself is lovely and so well maintained. This experience has changed my entire perception about working out and going to the gym. I would 100% recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: One Playground is one of the best gym experience I ever been. It has all my favourite gym sessions that I need in one membership such as Pilates, Yoga, Dance, Gym classes etc you name it. Amenities are great as well as the amazing interiors and pump up music, it's a club over there . It's a very friendly, safe and respectful environment for all genders. I can't really ask for more.

It also has 3 heavy bags, very important for me that I come from a martial arts background. Many gyms don’t have boxing bags or they have bad quality ones. Staff is helpful and friendly

Fantastic experience: this gym is top notch, i’ve been an active member of other gyms globally and this one takes the cake. it smells extremely fresh and fragrant every time i head over for a session. facilities and equipments are clean, well-maintained and come in a wide variety. the equipment also seem to be the latest ones. personally i haven’t tried the classes because i prefer working out, but they have classes for any kind of fitness you’re looking for. i guess one thing that i have been looking for and can’t seem to find in this particular outlet is a proper weighing scale. other than that, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Fitness Playground is a haven for the newbie gym goer who would like to improve their fitness and up to the most advanced lifter. The Surry Hills Fplayground is fully equipped with brand new machinery, multiple lifting racks and 3 floors for both functional fitness and classes like boxing, HIT, Yoga etc. Don't forget to checkout the top floor space, it's captivating! The trainers and community at the gym are amazingly helpful and offer mentoring for upcoming trainers and coaches to expand their knowledge and business. Negative experience: Avoid this gym. They billed me throughout COVID while the gym was shutdown and would not cancel after multiple attempts and emails. My bank has now blocked them and refunded the fees, and they are still charging despite emails and will not send me a cancellation form. I have now had to raise a consumer complaint with Fair Trading. They just told me they will not cancel until they get fees paid post my cancellation request and during lockdown when the gym was shut! (we are talking like $60-120 here).No service was provided and I provided cancellation in writing multiple times. Super dodgy.
