Negative experience: I’ve been using this gym for a year and still I cannot save my clothes in the locker properly . It is so annoying to take that much time trying to find a locker that works. Also, change rooms always very dirty… This locker issue makes you consider changing branch most of the times even if they have the best location for cbd workers.

Negative experience: Ive emailed and rang the gym this week to ask the simple question about the new ‘bright neon lighting’ in the 4 saunas, but still no one can help which is sad. Leaving a Google review was my last resort trust me, as I would have preferred a chat to find out why it’s changed.

Negative experience: My recent experience at this gym left me deeply disappointed. I went in simply to cancel my membership, as I’m moving to the Gold Coast in two weeks. I understand there’s a 4-week notice policy, and although I was previously told it was only 2 weeks (which applies to South Australia and Canberra), but anyway I was willing to pay the extra time and move on. What made the situation difficult was the attitude of the receptionist, “Ginger”. Rather than helping with clarity and kindness, I felt she was dismissive and quite unprofessional. Her tone made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected, as if my concerns were a bother, not worth listening to. I’ve always enjoyed training at the Bondi Junction location, and I’ve felt respected and welcomed in the past. That’s why this interaction stood out so much, it genuinely changed my view of the gym. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because how staff treat members, especially in situations like this, makes all the difference. People come to the gym not only to work out, but also to feel good, and safe, and supported. No one deserves to walk away from a simple conversation feeling the opposite.

Positive experience: The leg extension machine has been out of order for over 3 weeks, and despite notifying the staff, no action has been taken. This reflects a recurring issue with maintenance. With limited equipment, this affects members’ training, performance, and the work of personal trainers, who can’t deliver complete workouts. For the price charged, faster and more consistent maintenance is expected.

Negative experience: Feels run down every time I come - Lockers still not fixed been an issue for months , reminder this is a “platinum” Fitness First and per their website “Our Platinum clubs offer the highest quality facilities…”. Lacks investment luckily this isn’t my home gym. Also feel sorry for visiting Hilton guests. Onsite Staff are nice

Positive experience: Facility-wise, this gym was excellent—modern, well-equipped, and clearly maintained to a high standard. While it was a bit crowded, that’s to be expected from a CBD location. One feature I found particularly interesting was the presence of chalk for the pull-up bars—something I haven’t seen offered at any other gym, and a great touch for serious lifters. I trained back and biceps during my visit. The gym has a strong range of equipment for both: modern machines that effectively target the back, and a solid selection for biceps, including dumbbells, preacher curl machines, and an EZ bar. However, there was a downside—the men’s toilet was overflowing during my visit, which was off-putting and killed some of the vibe. I don’t want to get into it too much but it wasn’t a treat for the eyes. This visit was part of a trial run while exploring potential gym options ahead of a move to Sydney. The trial was free (as advertised), but the staff member who gave me a tour became noticeably flustered when I mentioned I wouldn’t be signing up right away, as I was leaving in two days. He abruptly ended the tour and said, “You should have done a casual entry for $25, but I’ll keep my promise of a free trial.” It was amusing, especially considering many people probably claim they’re “thinking of joining” just to access a free trial—that’s the whole point of offering one. From that point on, the sales enthusiasm disappeared entirely. It was a bit of an awkward ending to an otherwise somewhat decent experience.

Negative experience: I've been a coming to FF Pitt Street for several weeks now, and while the workout facilities are commendable, the state of the locker rooms is a significant concern. A majority of the lockers are either broken, jammed, or missing locks, making it challenging to store personal belongings securely.

Negative experience: I did a trial session and was pressured into leaving my personal details even though I wasn’t ready to sign up. The guy told me the offer would expire the next day if I didn’t. I never came back after the trial — yet I’ve been receiving invoices every week, even though I haven’t set foot in the gym since. I’ve called at least four times, sent three emails, and was told multiple times that the issue would be resolved. I was even promised a confirmation email, which I never received. No one takes responsibility unless they’re trying to push a contract. Extremely disappointing experience — I would never choose this chain again.

Negative experience: If you have Fitness Passport and you need a locker, avoid it. They’re supposed to have 1 time use cards to unlock them but they always “run out” of them. I am not even sure they really have them, because 2 times out of the 10 that I tried training there, the person at the counter told me that you can buy a personal card for $10… but guess what, both times they’re run out of them…

Positive experience: Lots of floor space to add machines and attract more clients like hip thrust machine, hack squat, pec fly, lat pull down etc. I have been coming here for 6 months and they still have not fixed the issue with the male lockers with 90% not working, and the bugs in the showers. It serves no purpose putting signs up apologising about the lockers if you don’t actually do anything about it.

Negative experience: Marking down due to lack of action despite feedback given many months ago. Please fix the lockers in the men's change room, more than 30% are broken for so long.
Negative experience: I encountered terrible customer service from a man at the front desk named Andrew. I’m a regular goer at this gym and had signed in today and then re entered with my gym card still being in the lock room. As I was walking through to the locker room Andrew was yelling in front of all the other customers at the gym causing an unnecessary scene. I explained I had signed in already and had my card still in the room and gave him my mobile number. He still continued to be aggressive. I was absolutely disgusted. He is not a security guard and I’m 100% sure that is against his job description to forcefully prevent someone from entering, regardless if they’re a member, which I am. I showed him my membership card as I walked out and told him I would be reporting him. Completely outrageous.

Negative experience: SCAMMER- STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM I signed up trial with this gym, I didn't like the experience in the gym so I cancelled the membership with in the trial period. Since then it's been 8 weeks that they keep debiting from my account. I called every week few times to ask why am I being charged. They told me their club manager will call me back or refund. I never got a call back plus they don't stop debiting from my account. Somehow I trusted this gym Staff and shared my account details when sign up for trial. But I feel it's not safe. All the staff lie everytime I call them their names are Tim, Lisa & Luke. I've been scammed but I just want others to not get into their trap and loose your hard earned money.

Negative experience: Closer to a two-star highway motel than a ‘Platnium’ fitness centre in Sydney CBD. Unfortunately, this is the decline Fitness First. This club in particular looks okay from the outside but is completely dilapidated and rundown in terms of its change room swimming pool saunas steam rooms and overall guest experience. In particular the bathrooms where literally half of the lockers do not work or are missing doors. Mould is rampant through the showers. And while the swimming pool has water in it which is clean two of the saunas and steam rooms are always out of action with creaking doors broken heaters, mouldy roofs.. even the staff empathise with the customers that this Club is not a great example of what the Fitness First brand used to be. Literally the only reason I go here is for location convenience but I’m actually getting to the point now where I’d rather take my $75 per fortnight and travel somewhere to a reasonable gym.

Negative experience: This gym is dirty, the change rooms are not kept maintained with lockers broken off the hinges. Also every single sanitary wipe dispenser was empty. Don’t expect us to clean your equipment if you can’t even be bothered to refill your equipment.

Negative experience: This has become the dirtiest gym in Sydney. Equipment is outdated and in bad repair. Most of the lockers are broken. Doors hanging off. I was an original member when this gym was living well. Since fitness first took over has been run into the ground. I tried to cancel my membership. I never singed up with fitness first my membership was taken over by fitness first. It has taken me two months to cancel my membership. I did not even have a contract. I emailed the manage who is never there. With no response. There are plenty of good quality gyms in Sydney.. Give fitness first a miss they are badly managed, dirty and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: It's the best because it's fully fitted out with a gym, pool, saunas, and steam rooms. The location is great. The WiFi works on the machines. 24/7 access. I love being able to store my gym bag in the locker room while I attend an event or work in the city.

Negative experience: Considering this is a platinum club connected to the Hilton, I would expect at least basic cleanliness. The cleanliness and upkeep of this club is poor. This has dropped significantly since it changed from Living Well. Wipes & sanitiser are often empty, women’s toilets & sanitary bins are dirty. There is equipment left everywhere and empty coffee cups. Just to name a few things. There should be regular checks scheduled for front desk staff to check and tidy. If I worked here I would be embarrassed.

Fantastic experience: 遂に見つけた、シドニーでプール(水風呂)とサウナ、スチームサウナ、ととのい椅子、冷水機が完備されていてバブルバスまである至高の空間。 まさかメンバーシップであるFFのPitt Stがこんな空間だとは梅雨知らず、全てを目にした時は正に青天の霹靂で思わず感動し過ぎて日本語の独り言が沢山出た。 サウナルームが2つあり、1つは低音で岩盤浴くらいの温度。もう1つはヘビロテしている80℃前後の高温ルーム。広めで2段。 スチームルームもあり、蒸気熱めでサウナルームに飽きたら利用してる。 プールは25mで温度は30℃前後。 嬉しいのが冷水機の水はしっかり冷たいのとととのい椅子と寝そべられる椅子が完備されているところ。 シドニーに来てからずっと恋しかったお風呂も使えるので完璧でしかない。 ジムエリアも広く、快適で清潔。ここを見つけてからmosmanのFFには行かなくなってしまった。。

Negative experience: Total scum. I called while I was in hospital to cancel my trial membership and they agreed to waive the fee. I had only just gotten off life support the day before. I never even activated my membership or used the gym at any point in time. They agreed and asked me to provide a medical cert. I could not get one until I was discharged from hospital. Because I was homeless at the time and therefore preoccupied with more pressing concerns, I did not get around to sending it. They did not even bother attempting to contact me before passing it off to debt collectors, thereby ruining my credit score and leaving me to be hounded by other unscrupulous thugs of their own ilk. Shameless.

Unfortunately my recent visit on a weekend was less than great where two male staff members were incredibly obnoxious, unapproachable and they argued with each other in front of myself and customers instead of serving them. I still use the gym but would need better staff with more a customer service focus who have a bit of discernment and professionalism
Negative experience: I’m new to Sydney and have been looking for my next gym, so I’ve been making use of free trials at various gyms… I was a bit disappointed with this gym, there are limited machines and the weight section is a bit small, that being said, it is great for someone who needs to basics and wants to kick start their fitness journey. The plus is that this gym has a pool, but I was not able to use this with my free trial… for me, this gym was not the one… but I can see it being very convenient for others.
Negative experience: Hello There, I just joined your club. I went to your club on my first day for a swim. This is what I found in the ladies room. This is very disgusting very not hygiene very poor. Used band aid in the bench, empty wine bottle in the cubicle dressing room, tissue on the floor, most of the locker are dusty! If you can not do something about it, I'd like to cancel my membership because this is very under the standard Zero classification of Platinum Gym Club. Beside that i have to protect my health. Negative experience: no equipment at all, came when it was not very busy and everything is taken , no lat pull-down!? no cable row? only 2 squat racks . how do u expect me to hit back in this tiny place
Negative experience: I had three personal training appointments scheduled. It was canceled twice due to his selfish reasons. So I didn't reply. Then I met him at the gym and he ignored me. Also, there is no cancellation plan, so you have to pay in full for the first year of the plan. I didn't know that so I was a little disappointed.
Negative experience: Incomplete gym, dirty, outdated equipment, and lacking maintenance. Worst club for sure. Looks like cross fit gym
Negative experience: Customer service is good, however the cleanliness of showers and bathrooms is not good, they should improve on that.
Negative experience: Great range of equipment and friendly clientele but the locker rooms are always a bit of a state. There has been more broken lockers than working for the past 4 months
Negative experience: Should avoid this one if you want to do weight training around 6pm. Very limited equipment (one of the least for FF in CBD) vs many many visitors. All PTs are working at the same time, who have occupied the machine for a long time. More than half of the lockers are broken and just getting worse and worse. Only pros is the friendly staff as I never use the pool.
Negative experience: Be careful of thieves from the Hilton hotel (or entering from the hilton?) who uses the gym. Today some of my belongings were stolen as I just turned my back only 2m for less than a minute. This gym also has a different crowd, vibe. People look at you with insistence and particularly at your things. I should have been more careful because i did not feel safe and it was good intuition. as I’m reading Google comments, I’m not the only one who got their stuff stolen and someone even had their locker broken into, only a year ago. BE careful, some people come here to steal your things. Otherwise the classes are great, staff very my friendly and helpful. Equipment a bit old but not as bad as kingscross. Just be careful of the Hilton guests and the showers often crowded and quite dirty, today one shower litteraly had gravel and dirt in it. It’s not the case in the other fitness first in the city which have pretty clean showers.
Positive experience: I'm dissatisfied with Fitness First Hornsby due to outdated and malfunctioning equipment, along with limited options during peak hours. However, the staffs is commendable. Regarding Fitness First Pitt Street, Sydney, I've had a disappointing experience with their customer service, especially the reception and manager, who provided poor guidance and lacked professionalism in communication, with frequent and excessive calls after joining. Giving 3 Stars only because of Good attitude from Hornsby Staff otherwise 1/5.
Negative experience: Showers and saunas etc are filthy. Showers are infested with bugs and have been for a long time, there is mould on the shower gels. The whole place needs a good clean but very unlikely to happen.

Fantastic experience: The size of the gym is perfect, not too small or big. The ventilation system is very good, the place is clean and tidy. Big thumbs up!
Negative experience: Men's showers are disgusting, full of pests on ceilings, moisture... Staff members are aware and not doing anything about it. Well located but very bad maintenance. Not sure if it meets Hilton's standards!
Positive experience: I love it!! a lot of space, many activities, classes, the pool amazing! Just try to avoid pick hours gets really busy, and unfortunately the saunas not always working many times are in maintenance
Positive experience: It's considered Platinum but that's just Fitness Firsts way of saying it has a pool, weight facilities are minimal and only good for a upper body workout so plan accordingly.
Positive experience: ヒルトンに泊まっていた為、こちらのジムを利用する事ができました。 最低限以上のものが揃っていると思います。 わりと午後から夕方にかけて混んでるので、注意が必要です。 マシンの数は割と少なめですが、フリーウエイトエリアは充実しています。 パワーラックがゴリッゴリのパワーリフティング仕様で、手につけるパウダーまであります。 ヒルトンに泊まってる方は是非利用してみてはいかがでしょうか。

Negative experience: Huge gym. A little messy with weights lying around from inconsiderate users. Horrendous wifi.; Almost non existence. Certain equipment are pretty worn out.
Positive experience: Not bad, not a huge weights area but enough to get the necessary in. Pool, sauna and steam rooms good to relax in after. Except 1 of the 4 is usually out of order.

Negative experience: I wasn’t allowed entry after staffed hours. They still charged me and said I can come during staffed hours and I was still on a membership still. Even though I wasn’t able to access the gym when I wanted and could actually go, which was after hours! I’m now being asked to pay for a product I didn’t receive.
Positive experience: Facilities are great, haven't tried the swimming pool. The only thing maybe the toilet in the evenings is not so clean, although 80% of the responsibility is from the users itself.
Positive experience: Very small with limited machines and racks for a platinum FF! No Lat Pulldown, hip abductors, back extension, Hammer machines and many more. $5 for towel hire. Not enough airflow. The colour scheme is nice though.
Negative experience: This gym is feral. Broken toilets (the pictured one has been for almost a week), broken lockers, mould, it's usually a mess, broken equipment and a really poor assortment of matts, rollers, weights etc. The saunas had been out of action for ages, given the lack of hurry on repairing the loo i just don't believe that they are waiting on parts Whenever I've alerted staff to an issue they could not care less.
Fantastic experience: Oscar is the perfect combination of professionalism and passion for what he does. He listens to you, gets involved and takes care of every little detail, making decisions that adapt to you and that, at the same time, help you improve yourself day by day. Furthermore and above all, he has a lot of training in the subject and always finds, with reason, the best option. I contacted him 9 months ago and since then, he has been adapting to my personal situation, helping me change my habits and getting me to understand what this new lifestyle means. Negative experience: I'm coming to Google because it's my last option, I've been contacting the gym for 1 week to transfer my plan and the gym just makes a fool of me. I've already sent 5 emails, I've called 2 times, and I've also been in person and NOTHING to resolve, they say they'll send the link and it's not sent!!!! I WANT A SOLUTION FOR MY FIRST FITNESS PROBLEM
Positive experience: Good gym with most of the equipment you ever need. 24/7.
Negative experience: The most appalling and disingenuous institution I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I signed a 12 month platinum contract on 19/11/2021, and expected the contract to end at the end of the 52 week term (which is detailed in the contract). Went into the gym and spoke to a team member a month before my contract was supposed to terminate- just confirming that there was no other action that needed to be taken. He said that it would terminate automatically, and I naively took his word for it. Come a year and 4 months later, I am still being charged for this membership. Just got off the phone with another member of the team today, who when I raised my issue told me there was “no evidence that I wanted my contract to terminate” and that if I attempted to block the direct debits from my account, or cancel my card, I would be met with debt collectors. Turns out i was signed up to another 12 month contract without my knowing, with no contract or correspondence sent to me. Please avoid at all costs.
Negative experience: There was literally a swarm of bugs crawling in the ceiling while you shower... the vent was also incredibly dirty, overall just didn't have much confidence on the sanitary standards of the gym. Asked to cancel because of this and still had to pay a lot in break-free fees... I think such an unsanitary environment should be reason enough to cancel without any fees to be honest. They also don't seem to understand the problem - it's not just that the bugs are there, but that the standard is low enough that they allowed it to get to that point... just killing the bugs now doesn't fix that.
Positive experience: I enjoyed visiting this gym, the facilities were pretty good and I liked the range of equipment. Although it is smaller than other Fitness Firsts in the area, it was enough to get a good session in and not overly crowded. Some of the equipment needs a bit of a refresh, particularly those with rubber handles where there is a bit of wear and tear. I am interested to come back and use the small pool. It looks like a good getaway from the bustling city. The only thing that I didn't really like was the staff member at the front. It was my first time visiting, so I wasn't sure where the change rooms were and when asked they didn't seem inclined to help.
Negative experience: Worst gym experience ever After complaining about the hygiene of the facilities to the incompetent Manager Jessica multiple times nothing was done Changed rooms are filthy and not cleaned at all and sauna has dried mould under seats from the sweat men use the sauna in crusty underwear not appropriate swimwear and everything is run down and broken The pool and jacuzzi is also used by Hilton hotel customers which I find embarrassing. Don’t bother signing up even the staff quit because they are sick of all the complaints!
Negative experience: The female changing room smells bad . Toilets were dirty. Showers rooms do not seem to be cleaned daily. No disinfectant rolls . No one bothered to replace. The rubbish bin and swim wear dryer are rusty. It was way better 10 years ago when it was owned by Hilton. I am not sure whether I wanna continue my membership in future.
Negative experience: The behaviour and service of Jessica, supposedly club manager of Pitt Street Platinum is very poor and not acceptable. After an unsuccessful response to my complaint I tried to raise it via ff app and my access was removed. To elaborate on the situation: David Reinhardt, one of the personal trainers wearing a FF shirt was using multiple equipment simultaneously and for long time, not willing to share. This in a tiny gym with few machines so during peak hours this behaviour is very annoying and selfish. When complaining to the club manager, she indicated that there is nothing she can do because personal trainers are contractors that do not report to the club, despite representing the brand by wearing the logo. When asked her to think on an hypothetical case of two members in similar situation she said again nothing she can do. When I asked about her supervisor email or phone she refused to provide it and when I try to complain in the FF app, the feature was not responsive to me. Very disappointing.
Negative experience: Pathetic service and rude staff. Currently two saunas out of order. Ongoing issues with lockers. The sales consultants very rude when at front desk. No shortage of mould in the showers and roofs. Management and front desk will make up every excuse for not fixing problems.
Negative experience: I wanted to share my experience with my Fitness First membership. I joined primarily for swimming and the steam service. However, I've been facing some challenges with the steam room facilities. One of the steam rooms has been out of order for almost a year now, and the other one requires manual restart every 1-2 hours. This has been quite inconvenient as I often have to remind the staff to turn on the steam. I've spoken to the front desk staff about this issue, but it seems even they are unsure about the situation. There have been instances where they claimed to have fixed the steam, only for me to discover that it's still not functioning when I enter. This situation is frustrating because it has led to me having to cancel several sessions due to the non-functional steam rooms. Additionally, on a specific day at 1 pm, I realized that there was no shampoo or body wash available in any of the shower rooms. I personally checked all of them, and it was disappointing to find them empty. I've noticed that the payments from my account are always processed without any issue, but the maintenance of facilities and timely fixing of issues have been lacking. It's disappointing that such seemingly simple problems are taking so long to be resolved. I believe it would greatly improve the overall experience if there was a consistent roster to ensure that the steam rooms are always operational and that necessary amenities like shampoo and body wash are consistently stocked. I hope that the management can address these concerns promptly, as they are impacting my ability to fully enjoy the benefits of my membership.
Fantastic experience: Signed up for a 5 day free trial on Monday, started going on Tuesday. I now can’t stop going as the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the facilities are insane! They have everything! Pool, jacuzzi, 2 steam room, 2 saunas, provide towels, showers have shampoo, conditioner & body wash, hairdryers, hair straightener and a curler for the women. They have everything you need there so you can just go straight to work from there! So convenient! Had a PT training session and it was a great experience, my now new PT David was so supportive and helped me get through my first session. Overall the greatest gym experience I’ve ever had!
Fantastic experience: Spacious and simple, this gym has all the essentials. The equipment is modern and so well maintained that it’s probably one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever trained in. It’s never been busy even during peak hours and the staff members are generally pretty attentive and friendly. Plus the lighting is great for admiring yourself in (see attached photos). If you’re looking for a quiet gym with plenty of space, this one’s for you.

Positive experience: Another fitness first gym i goto. Just smaller than Bond street or George street but it has a swimming pool jacuzzi, suana and steam bath!
Negative experience: The sales team won’t tell you that you can’t cancel your membership before you sign the contract unless you asked. Moreover, the manager is very rude and detached.
Negative experience: Have tried to contact the gym for the past week with no luck. Held on 1300 number for hours and contacted another branch. They told me the pitt st branch would contact me within the hour and still haven't heard back days later. I've been charged again and still no way of contacting them to cancel the membership
Negative experience: Is it really so hard to fix lockers? Almost half of them don’t work for like half a year already.
