Negative experience: My friend fell from a treadmill that was clearly not fixed yet — no sign, sudden speed, and she got lot bruises. The sad part is management didn’t even show concern. That’s not how you treat your loyal members

We’d like to assure you that all of our equipment is regularly inspected and maintained according to safety standards. However, if a treadmill malfunctioned or was not clearly marked as out of order, that’s absolutely not acceptable, and we will be reviewing our procedures immediately to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Negative experience: Terrible welcome, lost customer today. I went to the gym today and asked for a free trial, as I just moved to the area. It's the closest gym, and I want to make sure it's a good fit for me every day. The employee looks at me like I'm trying to steal something. She tells me it's $30 right away if I want to try it. She also asks me if I really live here and how long I've been in Australia, maybe because of my accent or idk ... (I've live here from six years already, LOL). No tour of the gym, no explanation of the prices, just the information that I have to pay $30 to even set foot in the gym. I've been to so many gyms in Sydney, and I've always been kindly invited to come in and check out the gym. This isn't one of them.

While we don’t offer free trials, we do have short-term memberships that allow new residents to experience the gym at a reduced rate before committing longer-term.

Positive experience: The staff are lovely and the gym has got cleaner over the past few months. Wifi has also improved! Only thing is compared to other gyms this one has so many rude people. I guess because its small and crowded, everyone seems to lose their patience. I do appreciate the kindness of the manager and staff though.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience as a paying member. I have been a member of Anytime Fitness, but my recent experience has left me shocked and frustrated. I was training dance moves in an almost empty gym during a quiet time (weekday noon, 12–1 PM), and was unexpectedly asked to leave by a staff member. The reason? I was “disturbing others.” However, the gym was nearly empty, and there was plenty of space around me. I fail to understand how my quiet solo training could possibly disturb anyone. Nowhere in the membership contract does it state that dancing or movement training is prohibited. As a paying member, I believe I have the same right to train as everyone else, whether it’s weights, cardio, or dance-based workouts. This kind of treatment felt unfair and discriminatory. On top of that, the gym is not well-maintained. The floors are dirty, and overall hygiene is substandard — especially disappointing for a fitness facility. This incident has left me extremely dissatisfied. I expected a welcoming and inclusive training environment, not to be judged or kicked out for how I choose to move my body. I sincerely hope the management reconsiders how they treat their members and enforces rules based on fairness, not personal bias.

You were not asked to leave by staff. You were simply asked to not practice your dance routine in a congested area when there are people around, as this causes safety concerns for both you and others around you.
Unfortunately, due to safety concerns and excessive use of space you will not be able to do your dance routines in the functional training area. We hope that you understand.

Negative experience: Promised the world when we joined. I even brought my friend to join. Promised that they do a body scan every month for free and emphasised how important it is for progress check. Then changed the story and said it is every 6 months Then changed the story and now it is not included. I hope the contract cancelation is as easy. Otherwise it will be fair tradings. What a joke. It's like another gym nothing special just close to where I live. Looking for other options ATM. Hopefully with some group classes.

When a free and non-essential service is being abused by certain individuals, it will be taken away, just like any other business would do. There was no promise of a free body scan, nor was this mentioned as a free service in your membership contract.Secondly, we do not appreciate the abuse directed at our staff members and the disruption caused to our members during their workouts. Your aggressive gestures and loud, almost yelling, tone directed at our club manager was inappropriate. He approached you kindly, attempting to come to an agreement.Thirdly, the picture you shared shows our body scan disconnected from power. This picture was taken after staffing hours. We unplug our body scan after hours to prevent unauthorised use and potential damage.Lastly, please refer to our cancellation policy below. Negative experience: packed with minimum facilities Edit: what i mean from packed is packed with people. Compared to other branch the haymarket is really busy at any time of the day. Which is good for the business but not good for the members. Moreover, the equipment is also less and the free space is less compared to other branch. And i’m member with the hyde park.
