Fantastic experience: My favourite gym! I use the infrared sauna every week which is a book ahead completely private sauna, super relaxing to incorporate after your work outs or the days you don’t feel like training. Has a great functional training area & upstairs private glute area so you don’t feel awkward if you want some privacy doing glute exercises. Definitely recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Love training at Roar Gym Cockburn! The equipment is top-notch — always clean and well-maintained, with plenty of variety no matter what kind of workout you’re doing. The sauna is a huge bonus after a session, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Chill vibe, good energy, and overall just a great place to train. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Equipment well maintained, friendly approachable gym staff. Creche is good maybe 8-11 on Sunday. Cafe staff are quiet rude though. Car parking is an absolute nightmare.

Fantastic experience: Best gym! Everything is always clean, facilities and equipment is new and they have a good range! It’s the first gym Creche my kids actually like going and it’s more like a daycare vibe than Creche. Love the reformer and engine classes! Plus coffee on the way out ☺️

Fantastic experience: Cockburn Roar is the first gym I’ve been to in many years, and it has been a great experience! They have a great selection of equipment and classes. The customer service team are always welcoming and friendly. My coach Georgia is the best, so supportive and has really helped me get my confidence back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Roar Cockburn for coming up two years now and I’m really happy with it. The gym is huge, well set out, and they’re often bringing in new equipment to meet demand and keep up with trends. My personal trainer Chrissoula has been an amazing resource and support and has really helped me stay on track with my goals. It’s a solid gym with a great vibe.

Fantastic experience: I love Roar Reformer Pilates! I have been attending these classes consistently since I found out I was pregnant and Jarrod has been an amazing instructor in supporting me through my pregnancy. In a class environment Jarrod adjusts certain exercises to keep both me and my baby safe. I had not expected to receive such individual attention and am so grateful to how passionate and helpful he has been. Reformer Pilates has improved my strength, confidence and balance during pregnancy and these classes are definitely worth the money. Thank you!

Ralph is cool ngl 26/6/2025 I had been coming to Roar Active Cockburn Reforner Pilates classes since it started and I must say the instructors are the best especially Jarrod, Chloe, Ash, Siobhan and Lani ! The classes bookings are very popular and hence competitive that it’s always a competition to get into the classes due to the popularity of the instructors ! I can see that I had become more flexible, more balance and building my core muscles slowly post surgery 18 months ago ! The instructors had inspired me to start my training to become a reformer Pilates instructor myself ! Roar Active Cockburn is the gym to go to for all my fitness training !

Fantastic experience: ROAR Cockburn is amazing. Convenient class times and fantastic instructors. You feel like you get a lot out of every class, love it!

Fantastic experience: Gym facilities are usually clean and plenty of spots or variations of the movements you'd be after (even during peak). However my favourite things are the recovery facilities, the sauna and cold room are a great bonus.

Fantastic experience: This gym is such a big step up from all of your others. The equipment is amazing and is always alongside an energetic and upbeat atmosphere. The staff are so kind and caring and genuinely love to interact with the members. The ladies in creche are also absolutely amazing and form such a genuine relationship with the kids. So many classes and facilities to offer too :)

Fantastic experience: Awesome place.

Negative experience: I love going to this gym. Today I was just upset that I was 3 mins late on my pilates class and the instructor did not allow me to get in. I don’t normally write reviews but I was just upset that the instructor shoo me away when I opened the door. I am normally always early on classes but this morning there was a car blocking our driveway so I have to wait for the car owner to remove his car. I do understand that I’m 3 mins late. However, I was under the impression that this must be considered because we have to pay extra for pilates classes. I would understand if it’s 5-10 mins late but the class just started and the class has only 5 people. :( I’m just upset that wasn’t taken into consideration as we are all living a busy lifestyle and unforeseen circumstances may happen. Overall, I am not complaining. I am just upset that I have to go home and end up not having the class.

Negative experience: Very unhappy at roar active Cockburn, when I canceled my member I’d, roar active Cockburn decided to continuously over charge me even though I walked into the facility and cancelled my member ship, there was 3 ladies who looked after me now almost 5 month has gone past and iam still being charged, I have called and spoke to the manager and she told me that the matter is resolved and your money will be reimbursed, now I have been charged last week and this week and I have finally negative money owing to the bank, iam not happy, iam upset and frustrated, I am depressed okay, not happy at all zero ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Great burgers, ribs, facilities (including large outdoor play area for the kids) and very hospitable staff. Highly recommend for family lunches/outings. Will be back

Negative experience: Good gym good facilities but alot of hidden cost. For example when you want to put your membership on hold they charge 5$ a week don't really know why they call it admin fee. Also when you cancel you still need to give 4 weeks notice. Also the little chip card cost 30$ so don't lose the chip you have to pay 30$ for something which is worth not even 2$. There are better gyms out there money for value in my opinion. But good equipment and machines. The restaurant is mid. Regards Phil

Negative experience: Had a 1 year contract with them, completely stuffed me about with payments and wouldnt let me in the gym when their direct debit messed up. Also kicked me out because of a 'photoshoot' they needed the gym for. Just went to pay my cancellation fee for the contract at 4pm and there was no staff, even though they're supposed to be staffed from 8 - 7 weekdays. Update: Roar fitness never tried to contact me as they mentioned in their reply

Negative experience: After having a serious injury, I have been trying to put my membership on hold and numerous times I have been told they will call me back. I keep following it up as my payments keep coming out. I used the member portal 4 weeks ago and no one followed it up and have no idea what is happening after I’ve sent appropriate documentation. I Just want to pause my membership as I can’t go to the gym.

Positive experience: Great gym and facilities. Poor communication at times ie changing apps and some of the staff luck interpersonal communication skills, it sometimes feels like u are bothering them with inquiries. Machines and equipment:exceptional.

Negative experience: Stopped to get a wrap at the cafe. The girl who served me was really nice. All was fine until some Chad staff member probably buzzing off pre-workout came in volume 10 looking for attention making a fuss about queing in officeworks. Yeah nobody likes queing but keep it down man! Never heard Bro and Hommies used so much in a short period of time. Wrap was good.

Positive experience: Hi guys Just a quick review on admins attitude. The admin staff are the face of the company So when paying long term members walk in to your gym and get snobbed by your front counter then that's not a good look for your company. Don't get me wrong, most of your staff are very inviting and friendly but there are a couple of admin girls that need some customer service training. Cheers.

Fantastic experience: Mums and Bubs is an amazing class! The instructor, Zoey is passionate, supportive, professional and a ball of fun. She is knowledgeable about the postpartum body and only incorporates safe exercises. Everything is able to be taken at your own pace and there is no judgment for whatever level you may be at. I was very nervous about starting my fitness journey after having a baby but Zoey has made me the most confident I have ever been. I would recommended this class to anyone who has had a baby and wanting to workout with the ease of taking bub with you. We also use the crèche and the girls in there are lovely and so welcoming, I feel 100% comfortable leaving my baby with them.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say that Zoes Mums & Bubs class is awesome for any new mums looking to try a new class. Zoe is an amazing instructor and if it wasn't for her I'm not sure I would be as motivated to keep going. Also the creche is lovely and the staff there are so welcoming. My daughter loves going to the creche

Negative experience: This place is the worst ever, they constantly harass about everything and won’t stop. Even after signing a cancellation of the membership they continue to contact you and harass you even more saying your account is overdue. They have no professionalism and are the worst group of people I have met and interacted with. I have also taken further action against the gym because of this. Do not go here they are horrible people

Fantastic experience: There are a lot of great classes at Cockburn but TT30 with Luke is the best. He knows our strengths and he pushes us to reach it but he also praises us through out the class. Thank you Luke

Negative experience: Changed my mind shortly after signing up only to be harassed by pushy staff texting, emailing and calling multiple times to coerce me into paying for something I didn’t want. I would have expected a health facility/gym to be less judgemental and be more understanding if a person chooses to be exercise in other ways that are better for their personal situation. Who would’ve thought I’d have to block the number of a gym like a telemarketer... Guess that’s what happens when businesses are allowed to capitalise on people’s health and fitness, it all comes down to the $$$

Negative experience: Horrible club. Big mistake. Signed up and moved north of the river a few months later. Tried to cancel my membership at the time but request got declined, however they recommended upgrading my membership at a more expensive club being Bibra Lake.... Why would I want to pay more and travel the same distance?? And I wanted to cancel not upgrade! They advised me they put an automatic stop on my membership once the 12 months contract amount was paid out. That was 15 months ago and they are still taking money out of my account! Been emailing them for months stating in writing to cancel my membership. Guess what? Money still getting debited out of my account on a weekly basis. Free advice if you are thinking of signing up, don’t.

Positive experience: Going to the gym is my me-time aside from being a mum. I can trust my kids to be looked after by all the staff at Roar Cockburn creche. They have known my sons from at young age and have watched them grow over the years. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Mums & Bubs class is incredible, Zoey the instructor is very welcoming, supportive & a great instructor! I love how you can go at your own pace and each week I’m noticing my fitness level changing for the better. Everyone attending is a mum and there is something amazing and lovely about having a room full of women and bubs supporting each other with their fitness goals with no judgment! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I love going to the gym but seeing Tammys face everyday in the cafe just makes it even better, the way she interacts with everyone on a personal level is amazing, she brings a lot more to the cafe then just being a cafe lady! She’s always up for a chat, giving advice and helping pick the health products best suited for me. She’s very knowledgeable in everything that the cafe provides And is always happy to go out of her way to provide the best service! (Not to mention how good her protein coffees are ) Tammy is a huge asset at the roar cafe and much loved by everyone she meets ❤️

Fantastic experience: Attending this gym and using the crèche since my baby girl was 8 weeks plus doing mums and bubs classes. Absolutely love it and the girls in crèche are incredible. So good with my daughter she loves it there. Feel super confident leaving her with them and they are so helpful to me as a new mum. Feels like a mums group I never got because of covid. Also mums and bubs is the best class. Going to be so sad when my girls to be to take.

Fantastic experience: Best bunch of ladies. They take amazing care of my little one and have done since she was 8 weeks old. She’s now 2.5yo. Just dropped her off sleeping and they’ve got her sorted on the couch. 10 stars.

Fantastic experience: LOVE the creche at Cockburn ROAR! Staff are awesome and stable which is important as the kids get to know them and love them. Opening hours are better than most gyms around the area so you can workout in the afternoon if you need too.

Fantastic experience: I am a regular gym goer and I have been going to roar since 2018. My children have been so well looked after by the beautiful ladies at roar Cockburn. They are not only attentive to my kids needs but they are so kind and caring my son who is 3 looks forward to going each week. I wouldn't go anywhere else and the flexible hours are also amazing thanks ladies your the best!!!

Fantastic experience: By far THE best gym. I can't imagine going anywhere else, can't even put it down to one specific thing because everything surrounding ROAR is beyond amazing! You know its good when you get sad having a rest day! Proud to be apart of the Roar Cockburn tribe. (Can always count on Jaydee to make me lose it laughing each time I'm in the gym, even on bad days. Fantastic experience: Where to start with Roar fitness Cockburn....... I have been to a few gyms around Perth and Roar Cockburn has to be the best, great staff, facilities and equipment. When you walk in you feel welcome from the staff behind the counter, the super helpful Pts out on the floor who are willing to help out. Speaking of PTs hit up Kyle Simmul if you need help, i have been training with him for the last 6 weeks and have achieved some massive results.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for about 5 years now but the last 2 I’ve been putting my toddler in the Creche and i have to say they are the most amazing and friendly group of girls! My daughter has been going since she was about 10 weeks old and now she begs to go every day! Seeing my daughter being greeted by name everyday and have so much fun knowing she’s always well looked after and entertained makes me feel so comfortable having my gym sessions! We even recently won a Creche attendance competition

Fantastic experience: My kids have been in creches in so many gyms and I can honestly say they have never felt as comfortable as they do here. I'm pretty sure they've even called one of the staff mum a few times! Trustworthy, professional and fun staff and there are always enough of them there to look after the little ones. I highly recommend Roar Creche and the gym too. Definitely try it if you’re unsure and I guarantee you won’t regret it.

I was very anxious the 1st time my daughter started creache as I had not left her with anyone .With the support from Jackie ' Tracy & the team we are now nearly 2 years in & my daughter runs into the creache. My gym time is now something we both look forward to' as I have that break from baby & knowing that she is getting plenty of cuddles & quality time in the creache is such a blessing... you girls are all amazing xx

Fantastic experience: I joined Roar in Cockburn a month ago& am so impressed with the creche &gym classes. The support that I've received has been instrumental for me to continue to commit in attending after years of not going& becoming so unfit that I put myself at high risk of further health complications. The creche and staff Jackie, Shania, Holly& Lynsey have been wonderful with looking after my wee bub from when she was 2 months old, she gets so much attentive care&lots of cuddles which puts me at such ease so that I can focus on becoming a fit&healthy mother. The instructors Tahnee, Zoey and Karen have also been incredible with their motivation &expertise in what they do, incredibly supportive environment, never ever thought I would say but I love this gym &creche x

Fantastic experience: The ladies who work in the crèche are amazing! My daughter is like a clingy koala bear and they welcome her with a cuddle or rock her to sleep in her pram. They make it it so much easier to drop her off and enjoy my workout without having to worry about her being upset. She's always so happy when I pick her up. I couldn't fault them.
