Fantastic experience: The best gym in Mount Waverley and near by suburbs. Great selection of machines and equipment. They have all the equipments that you need. Some said that the toilets are not clean. It is difficult to clean the bathroom after each person. Part of it is on the clients to take care of and part of it is the gym staff responsibility. The staff cannot follow everyone to the bathroom to make sure that they don’t make a mess and clean that up after them. Members are also responsible to keep the bathroom clean. I’ve added photos that show you how people leave their trash in the gym.

Positive experience: Mt Waverley branch is nothing compared to the Clyde North branch. Most equipments are not functional and bits and pieces of plates are coming off. Barely any plates left during peak hours.

Negative experience: This once great gym has been slowly deteriorating since 2019. Issues that haven’t been fixed in the past couple of years: - Barely any 5kg plates. So during peak-hour you will spend time looking for some or have to wait until someone has finished using them. - Half the 10-20kg black plates aren’t the correct weight. There is a noticeable difference with some of them. - Couple of the cable machines are old and look like they’ve been bought from a garage sale. Thus, the good ones are always in use. - Leg curl and leg extension machines have terrible slants. - 0 gym etiquette. 50kg dumbbells will be left at benches and the dumbbells are always in completely random positions. 20kg plates are constantly left on machines and bars making it hard for newcomers to move them. Plates will be taken and abandoned at the green astroturf rolling area. The etiquette is the worst I’ve experienced at any gym. If you attract all the gym-douches, maybe it’s because of your management. The only redeeming quality of this gym is that they have plenty of deadlifting platforms (but good luck finding clamps that aren’t broken)

Negative experience: Let me give everyone a breakdown. I am on a month to month and even though I have requested to cancel the have continued to charge starting I have not canceled. This has continued over 3 payments with dishonour fees. I will be adding a full breakdown over YouTube so please search for this. 100% pick another gym in the area as this one has not and will not operate in a manner that is congruent to the pitch. The attacking the client continues. I have even stated I am happy to pay the 1 month and dishonour fee but they continue to justify a position, blame the client and threatens the debt collectors. As this continues I will keep everyone informed. I’m sure we will see a response here from them attacking once again.

Negative experience: Great facility, disgusting exit process. I left the gym 6 months ago and I thought I already told the front desk that I wanted to quit a month in advance. No record of that was recorded so many months later I was hit with overdue fees of $187, which I payed in full. THEN 2 months later, they hit me with an overdue fee of $45. Ive payed the $187 in full already, this is absurd.

Negative experience: Overall nice gym. But I don’t understand why there is a female only area. Why the segregation? If there is a female only area where is the male only area? Why should I pay for something I cannot use. Why I pay the same membership amount so someone else can use their own space ? Thats pretty stupid ! And if you remove the female only area and the useless Pilates room, you could make the best gym ever with more space and equipment

Negative experience: Teenager banned after a scuffle in the carpark, understandable. But to keep the teen's entire rest of his paid up front membership, to the tune of almost $400 is a pretty lousy move. Not only that, it appears the instigators of the 'scuffle', one of whom is a well know politician's son, have NOT been banned. Disappointed in the business practices and ethics of this company.

Fantastic experience: The fitness environment boasted a spacious gym with abundant equipment, catering to the needs of numerous gym-goers. During my workout, I had the luxury of utilizing The EZ BackPro on various machines, seamlessly jumping between them with ease!

Fantastic experience: Loving the reformer pilates room at Muscle City Mount Waverley. I really like that I can come in when I’m free and don’t have to book a class. The physio led programs are brilliant and so is the post natal programs. Thank you for providing this room for us. It’s absolutely brilliant.

We walked over from our office one day and Derek was kind enough to take me and my work colleagues around just before opening making us feel very welcome. MC gave us amazing membership prices for the unbelievable equipment made available to us. I also use the Bentleigh East gym as it is close to my home and still love it. Over the years to see great culture, friendly staff as well as continuous improvement and upgrades to the facility makes Muscle City the best gym in Australia. Congratulations to Derek and all staff for making your vision come to fruition.

Fantastic experience: Muscle city has been my number 1 gym for around 4 years. The equipment and machines are great quality and regularly updated. Being 24 hours it is so handy and the other members are considerate and polite.

Fantastic experience: Best gym undoubtedly. This gym has everything you need. From wide range of top quality equipments to a green area for stretching, table tennis and a boxing ring, great workout playlist you dont need headphones when u come here. Good staff and services, very clean as well.

Negative experience: These guys really need to sort out this place. Most of the staff is rude, most times don't even say hi, they talk amongst themselves and ignore people walking in. The toilets always smell so bad, especially the ones at Mount Waverly. It's not that hard to use some bleach and clean things right. You can smell them just from standing outside. They spend all this money on renovations and a new gym and can't even clean the gym right.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member since the gym first time ever opened… and regretfully am disgusted at management’s, policies and unfair contract terms and behaviour towards members. The only thing the company cares about is taking your monthly fees $$$… without care, respect or regard of your circumstances or loyalty. I’ve watched this amazing gym with great people and great equipment when it first opened turn into a monstrosity, robotic staff, lack of humanity, with toxic and selfish energy and above all poor customer service and extremely ruthless contract terms and company policies. However, there are some great staff members that still work there and very grateful for their relationship over the years, something management don’t care about.. Try yourself and make up your own mind…

Negative experience: Really great selection of machines and equipment, unfortunately it's the most unclean gym I've ever been to. Toilets are nasty and nobody ever puts their weights away. Dumbbells are put into a complete random mess on the rack. Could be one of the best gyms if not for these issues

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over 4 years now and joined when they first opened. It has become my second home and a great place to train. As a female in a body building gym, we may feel intimidated however this is not the case at MC - I always feel welcomed and supported by the staff and members. The equipment is great and they have the best hack squat in town! Would highly recommend to check out for a casual or even become a member!
