Originally from NZ, Wes brings to The Strength Squad a wealth of knowledge after completing his Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science in 2012 as well as Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness.He is one of the most sought after trainers in Cairns because of his love of correcting technique and his ability to make all his clients stronger. Brooke began her career in the fitness industry in 2007 when she studied her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness in Alicante in Spain at the Australian Institute of Fitness. When she arrived back to Australia she begun working as a Personal Trainer and  Group Fitness Instructor and taught many Les Mills and Dance Fitness classes. Over the past 5 year Brooke has put her focus into Powerlifting and she looks forward to sharing her passion of strength training with others.Brooke is currently studying a Diploma in Nutrition and will be fully qualified by mid year 2021. Do yourself a favour and invest in a great coach like Wes. I've trained with previous coaches but Wes's knowledge and passion is unmatched. I've beem training with Wes for 1 year now and I am happy to say that my strength, physique and confidence have hugely improved. 

A whole lot more than Personal Trainers. Have caught the big of the 3 big compound lifts and training a program for strength. I get expert coaching on technique and holistic considerations needed to achieve my goals. Knowing that both Wes and Brooke are out there competing and training hard themselves, makes all the extra insight invaluable and greatly appreciated.

I approached Wes roughly 4 months ago to get assistance to learn how to squat and deadlift.  After a bout of severe illness and many injuries I wanted to learn how to move properly, without pain. Having been a competitive bodybuilder,  I know training, coaching and healthy habits that a PT should have. And finding Wes and Brooke I am thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, support, abilities and motivation. The way Wes is able to watch how your body moves, adjusts angles and gives the technical cues is some of the best I have seen. From our first session onwards I've begun to learn how my body should move and the feeling is amazing! Can't thank both of them enough for their support and guidance to getting me not only back on track but kicking goals. 

The best fun workouts I've ever had in the gym. Brooke has helped me challenge myself in many ways and is so so encouraging. I have never felt so good an confidence about myself when I'm at the gym with her!

I have admired Brooke as an athlete for many years. When I saw that I had the opportunity to be trained by her I was so excited! There aren't many PTs who are actively participating competetively in the sport they are also training people in. It is so inspiring to train with someone who you can see competing in tournaments! It makes you want to train harder to reach her level. Brooke is also patient, honest and caring. She wants the best for her clients and I wouldn't want any other trainer. Seriously - she is the best!
