Fantastic experience: There’s nothing else like it!!! Started coming a few months ago and have been so impressed with the facilities and customer service. I used to have memberships at a couple of different gyms to get a well rounded workout and recovery schedule, but NextGen has everything I need in one place, plus I now play tennis! Super happy that I found it
Negative experience: One of the receptionists is really rude. We are there for tennis class and trying to use the car park. She stopped us and said it is for member only. That’s fine. We moved out. Then I heard she said”I’m here today to kick all tennis cars out!” I did talked to one of your team for membership couple of weeks ago. Now I will not be interested any more as you are trying to kick us out.

Positive experience: I have read other reviews and yes there is always some maintenance and cleaning of areas needed and there are members who you would not share your house with as they have gross habits/behaviour. Maybe Next Gen management can remind members about acceptable behaviour. I do not want to be paying for the experience of towels left anywhere, wet toilet seats and floor, cars parked blocking others and all the other things mentioned in other reviews. The reception staff are welcoming and I feel like more than a membership number. I love the exercise options. Luke has been the instructor whose classes I have attended the most. He knows how to make us all work hard for our fitness goals but with a laugh too. He is a great guy. I have attended other classes too and am happy with the instructors. The cafe staff are friendly and their service is professional even when they are understaffed. In my opinion the price of the meals was increased too much and are expensive but that is not a reflection of the cafe staff. There are also less expensive food options like wraps and muffins. I want to share space with kind, respectful and nice people and there are many staff and members at Next Gen for me to be with. There is room for improvement though and that is fine. What is not fine is we write reviews, improve Next Gen's rating and nothing gets done.

Fantastic experience: these 5 stars are specifically for your employee, daniel :D his customer service is the best i have experienced in a long time and there’s no doubt that he’s your best employee he has excellent rapport with so many members in addition to myself, as i always see him sharing a smile/having a chat with someone. he is a pleasure to interact with and goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable next gen is very lucky to have such a fantastic person working at memorial drive

Fantastic experience: My husband Vittorio (Vic) goes to the Cafe almost every day for lunch. He always gets greeted with warm friendly smiles by all the staff. Maria and Gabriella greet him with "Good Morning Vittorio" which makes him feel welcome and puts a smile on his face. He also loves the food they make. On days when he doesn't feel like going to the gym he'll go to the Cafe for the food and a friendly smile and then stay for a workout. It's a great motivator. Congratulations Next Gen for employing wonderful, friendly and hard working staff in the Cafe.

Positive experience: Overall the gym is satisfactory, however the staff on the floor could be more welcoming and engaging. The wet areas do struggle to maintain their promise and do need greater continuous attention. These spaces cannot be a set and forget. The stand out is the ‘Club’. The team here do deserve a special mention. Smiles, warm welcomes and professional service is the order of the day here. Chris, one of the team is exceptional. Thank you Chris, well done.

Negative experience: Very long term member of this gym and as many have highlighted here and on a daily basis at the gym itself the high standards that were always evident have become almost non existent at present. That aside….. It is very concerning that there has been a noticeable trend of gym staff not staffing the gym floor correctly. Recently i witnessed the gym floor being unstaffed for well over an hour. I went to search.for a staff member as next to me were two young girls under the age of fourteen playing around with the treadmill display buttons and sticking their fingers in the actual belt. The girls had no parent(s)with them and should not have been allowed on the gym floor due to age restrictions. I reported this matter to the on duty manager (Saturday 14 September 2024). In addition there seems to be a tendency by gym floor staff to have long conversations with other colleagues or friends without properly observing what is going on around them on the gym floor. what’s is worse is that several of them are watching what’s on their mobile phones rather than paying attention to gym members and the use of equipment. These issues are serious on a number of levels least of which are Health and Safety requirements and Regulations. in addition to legal matters of duty of care to members should there be an accident or medical episode involving a member. Staff on the gym floor should remain vigilant and attentive for the benefit of all members using equipment on the gym floor whether that be staffing the desk area or walking around the gym floor areas and observing what is going on. In essence doing the job they are trained and payed for . Senior management should be aware of these observations and take responsibility and the necessary action to rectify the matters raised before any unfortunate incident occurs.

Negative experience: Caveats first- Two people earn 5 stars Trainer Luke Christensen Acting GM - Tom Standen Next Gen Health Club- 2 stars as on 11/9/2024 I’ve been a member for many years now and am witness to its fall from a near 5 star gym to any other gym in town, perhaps worse than many. Issues at this gym have been growing and no attention paid to customer feedback and dissatisfaction nor to complaints. Many machines are faulty, have broken parts, or are simply out of order. Handle grips are worn out or missing, youtube does not load and if it loads does not stream anything. Cleanliness standards are a huge issue in female change rooms and toilets, the hygiene is concerning. The locker situation is frustrating too. They were supposed to be switched to combination locks, but only some of them were changed and the rest are still the same. Another key issue is the air conditioning in the spin studio. It becomes a sauna in summer and the fans provided don’t help much. I have been having bad experience with a personal trainer Josh who has cancelled my PT sessions numerous times without bothering to inform or even replying to my text messages seeking confirmation. The lack of communication for what is marketed as a "5-star" gym is shocking. That said he is a good trainer as in technical skills and technical knowledge. I would give 5 stars to Trainer Luke Christensen- he is highly professional, is skilled, always happy and polite, and provides excellent service. He is a good communicator and is proactive in his approach. A couple of months ago, Tom Standen -5 Stars- came as Acting GM like a breadth of fresh air. He actually listened to gym members. If you have any problems or complaints talk to him. He has started fixing things such as cleanliness and order on gym floor, changed fans in the spin studio and has said he will get air con problem solved too. Took up my written complaint lodged more than a month before he joined and made sure the issue was resolved. 5 Stars and kudos to him for his efforts and I hope he solves all problems and brings the gym back to its glory before he leaves. In sum, overall, the gym is far from living up to its reputation, very much needing a major upgrade and a lot of members are talking about it. This place has so much potential but has been overdue for a massive renovation more than a decade ago. Most expensive gym in SA and most poorly managed. Wonder if managers have been getting bonuses or KPIs designed for not spending even at the cost of customer dissatisfaction and inconvenience- which is a dumb policy.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. The Personal trainer I won’t say who. Cancelled on us twice. They also cancelled on us and didn’t bother to call. The Bodyscan machine didn’t work. And no one knew about it. We were made to feel like it was somehow our fault. The sarcastic PT told us. Well why don’t you just work out. Fml ♀️ I couldn’t believe it. I’ve worked in medical field for years. When training someone or working in a gym. You need to be polite and realise people are there not just for the physical health. But mental health also. We haven’t had a chance to work out as we want to start our way with booking in the scan. The the personalised program. So we can work out with a plan. To be told ohh sorry had no idea. And why don’t we just work out. That comment was soo condescending. The reception staff booked our body scans over the phone also. Which meant they knew it wasn’t working and still booked us. Or they didn’t know and booked us. I am soo upset. I just want to start the gym with my mate. And we keep getting cancelled. When we joined it was soo rushed. The only good people here are David and Jamie. They care. I feel the lack of communication is absolutely ridiculous for a 5 star gym. Change this mindset. I miss people who care. Seems like they just want to look the part.

Negative experience: This is the 4th week in a row the outdoor swimming pool is freezing cold. The website says this is a heated swimming pool. It doesn't say that, when the heating breaks down, letting the members know and fixing it aren't a priority. Mind you, the heater broke down about 3 months ago. We had to wait for about 2 weeks to be fixed, pretty hard to believe it is broken again. It is obvious no one is looking after it. The pool covers were so old and shredded, last winter only one was used to cover the pool at night. Instead of ordering new ones at the end of summer, they waited to mid July 2024 to chuck the old ones in the bin and order new ones. They are probably going to arrive in spring. This is incompetence we can all see.

Negative experience: Every time there is a class which 80% of swimming pool is occupied. I mean with this amount of money, you should see sth premium not exactly what you see in a facility with $40 a month. I’d not recommend!

Negative experience: Be aware when you join this gym that the sales staff tell you one thing, and the contract states completely different terms regarding membership suspension. Suspension is between minimum 4 and 8 weeks max once a year, not 8 weeks total per annum a minimum of 4 weeks at a time as I was told. The Gold membership includes the hydrotherapy area, it is mixed and mainly frequented by all men. No mention of that at initial tour by sales staff. Asked if they have considered a separate female area, or days for women. “No, we dont do that, how would we control it.?” If you are considering doing remote classes on Zoom, be prepared for disappointment. . Attempted three classes, two classes no connection for unexplained reasons, one class was finally connected halfway through after phoning twice to find out what was happening.

Positive experience: I was asked to post a review of the creche here. It was actually the reason I joined. While there is much to be desired in regards to the rest of the club, I cannot find fault in the creche. The hours are fantastic, 6 days a week from 9am-2pm. The ladies who run the creche are amazing women that are so wonderful with the kids. I've come in many times with one of them sitting down while my daughter plays hairdresser and is styling their hair. They get music going and play musical games like sleep bunny. My daughter has always loved it there and has made some wonderful friendships with the other children. It's also very reasonably priced. If you want flexibility in going to the gym and the knowledge your child will be well looked after and have fun as well; I'd recommend Next Gen. Other positive points are the kids rooms, the swimming lessons and the two pools. If you are without child and not in need of the creche, I wouldn't recommend this place. Unfortunately, other reviews mentioning the old outdated, equipment is very true as well as the standards of cleanliness is lacking greatly. One of the bathroom doors in the change room was without a handle for a couple months or more. I found one of the sinks was just pouring water all over the floor (no plumbing) and another one that was completely blocked and full of water. The showers were never cleaned, thank god those are now being replaced, however to maintain them, they have to be cleaned properly and regularly. Then there is the lockers that were supposed to be changed to a combination lock. They did less then a 1/4 of them last year and never finished them. The worse for me is the cafe. While it's great to have it and be able to grab food, relax while your child plays with other children in the playroom, it is extremely poorly run. I have worked hospitality for 22 years so it really irks me to see what goes on. Majority of staff are like dead fish, I mean, would it kill them to smile and act friendly towards the customers. There are a couple of exceptions but it stands for most of them. They regularly get orders wrong and the food and coffee generally takes forever. Then there is the state of the cafe itself. I have been in the cafe at 2pm, ordered food/coffee and hung around until my daughter's swimming lessons at 3:30pm. Finished that, had a shower and come back in the cafe at 4:30pm to find the table I was at 2 1/2 hrs ago still had my dishes on it. That is a regular occurrence not a once off. I've seen them wheel out a huge cart like it's a canteen and start clear tables using the cart because they have left so many tables with dishes on them that now it's easier to get the cart out and shove all the dishes on that. It may only be a gym but still that is a really bad look and just tacky. I've only ever seen one person once cleaning the tables too, they are always dirty. Staff don't seem to comprehend that after you clear a table, it should be wiped. I think with new gyms, with new everything opening around Adelaide for much cheaper, it's not worth the money they charge. Once my daughter is in school full time and is no longer using the amazing creche, I won't be renewing my membership in January.

Negative experience: This place is soooo dated and often looks dirty as hell. I’ve signed up for a year and sadly locked in unless I want to pay major cancellation fees. Water taps are constantly out of order and nobody seems in a hurry to fix them so there’s just no water accessible on the gym floor. Even when water is available on one tap, the tap area smells mouldy/ like something died in the machine last year. Exercise equipment is mostly in poor condition- damaged handle grips/ seat padding / leather hasn’t been replaced in the several months I’ve been here. Some machines are just broken with a sign on them but don’t appear to be getting fixed any time soon either, and at least 1/4 of treadmills screens are frozen at any given time/ don’t work.. which is a nightmare on busy nights. Carpark is also often very hard to get a park in on busy nights so expect to do 10 laps since. This place has so much potential but was overdue for a massive renovation a solid decade ago. Most expensive gym in SA and absolutely nothing to show for it.

Negative experience: They're bunch of scammers as they say they gonna cancel our membership with a reasonable amount of money but now they are asking way more money for cancellation. Adding on, they are always full with classes for kids or elderly people all the time and you can't have the luxury experience you are paying for. Their shower areas are never clean too.

Negative experience: Just don’t do it. The club is overpriced, dirty and poorly maintained. As other reviews have stated needs a complete refurbishment. Nobody there cares thats the staff and especially not management. Don’t get sucked into the sales tour spill with all the promises in the world then get locked into a 12 month contract you will surely regret it. Just read the genuine reviews on here from actual members. Much better quality and cheaper alternative’s around with no archaic lock in contracts. Di Ya review below is spot on.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Sam Niejalke for a couple months now. His knowledge about mobility and training, helping me keep my body as healthy as possible is second to none. He has shown me a wide range of speciality exercises to help me excel in my sport. Would recommend him to absolutely anyone!! Love coming to next gen health clubs, great facilities and something for everyone at that club.

Positive experience: New members and I may have had blinkers on during my tour as I didn’t notice the lack of showers due to renovation and the steam room out of order, both services that were an attraction to paying over an above the average membership. Also the opening hours are a little tight particularly at weekends as well as the opening ours of the restaurant don’t match opening hours, so would be helpful to be able to use anytime you choose to use the gym. However, Patricia was a life saver today. I had hoped a club like this would have a vending machine for personal items, but I assumed wrong but Patricia was super helpful. Let’s hope the club put something in place more permanently and finish the renovations and repairs as it’s a great offering so close to the city. I’ve used in the UK in Cardiff and that is a great social space, which I hope they can learn from.

Within the next 4-5 weeks both the changerooms and steam room should be back open and running - please be patient with us during this time so we can upgrade the facilities! Thanks again!
Negative experience: My 1st day @ Next Gen, I found a USED TAMPON on the floor. When I wanted to cancel membership, they said it would cost me $500. They said the best they could do is suspend my year membership by 2 months believing I could use facility but not have to pay till they cleaned up their act. But no, they treat me like a thief and when I asked Dan (the manager) 5 times to call me, he sends me an email. DO NOT GO WITH NEXT GEN unless you want to be on the ball & chain!!!

Fantastic experience: We love Next Gen Memorial Drive, the whole club is awesome and with the new menu and specials the food is excellent! I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten every meal off available and each one has been great! Thank you to all the staff and especially to the friendly Gabby and Maria at the cafe for always making our family welcome with a big smile and a chat :-) We’ve been members at Memorial Drive and Ryde then back to Memorial Drive and this is definitely the best ;-)

Negative experience: Gym ok but tired . Yoga classes great. Management shocking. Several times I tried to email/ phone give feedback and never got a response . My issue was when travelling I wanted access to the video gym classes that were never on. I would even phone before a class to make sure and was told they would be on but they were not . Not even acknowledged. I wanted to stay a member but when treated so disrespectfully I resigned . Even then I was told at the desk that because of the issues I had my membership could be cancelled but I have had to wait two months .

Positive experience: The facilities are outdated and could do with an urgent upgrade. I have a gold membership which gets me very little except for the 2 free towels per visit. The Gold members’ private shower area that is located on the gym floor is constantly busy which defeats the purpose of the exclusivity of a Gold membership. Also, the gate that you have to swipe to get into that private area has been left unlocked on numerous occasions. Consequently, that allows for just about anyone to be able to walk in and use the private jacuzzi/sauna/steam room/plunge pool and the showers (which incidentally, are always filthy). I have made multiple complaints about the gate only to be told that it is the fault of staff who show potential new members around the gym - they apparently unlock the gates for ease of movement and forget to lock it again when the tour’s over. Why should Gold members be made to suffer for the incompetence and poor memories of staff then?!?! And if someone brings that problem to your attention, you should be rectifying it, not make excuses and then do absolutely nothing about it. Also, the private Gold members area is extremely small so if you are going to keep upselling Gold memberships, you need to make sure you can actually keep up with the demand - and that means making sure the space is cleaned constantly, the lockers are working properly and there’s enough to go around, and the toilet paper/tissues in there are replenished often. The cafe also needs a better system especially during peak hours or football season. If you are going to promote happy hour, you need to manage people’s expectations of how long they will need for food to be served! I have had to wait up to 30 minutes for a basic coffee order and 1+hr for the food to arrive on many of those occasions. The best part about Next Gen is the Personal Trainers and the instructors. Special shoutout to Luke, my Personal Trainer, who is always professional and competent. He also has a good understanding of the human anatomy and has the capacity to tailor an exercise program to suit individual needs. He is also always willing to listen and members resolve any issues they may have with the club.

Your good member access allows you numerous benefits to the club - You’re entitled to bring in a guest free to use the club 1 x per month, You aware eligible for a towel on entry, you can access class bookings 10 days in advance, access to the regen spa area and reciprocal access to any of the other 5 Next Gen clubs around Australia. We’ll get straight onto looking at how we can better manage the upstairs turnstiles and find a better solution for staff using it. Fantastic experience: The best thing about Next Gen right now is Luke PT - unfailingly polite, knowledgeable, and motivational. I don’t like weights and joined for the pools but now I do weights weekly, love the long term improvement and the fact that Luke makes such an effort to keep the boredom out of reps - next gen is lucky to have such a professional member of staff.

Positive experience: Good gym but serious issues. This gym has some very positive points which are unfortunately overshadowed by poor management and strategy. The good: Most staff are friendly (particularly Charlotte in sales, Alex PT) Wide variety of services (tennis, squash, swimming, gym) The bad: Facilities are poor especially regen area (gold membership so costs extra) which gets sold to new members as getting redone yet never has. Something is almost always out of order so don’t expect to be able to use the spa that you’re paying for. Parking can be horrendous, especially if anything is on at Adelaide oval. Management has no care as it pays the bills. There have been many occasions where I have driven in only to find there are no parks available even after circling for 30 mins, wasting my time and preventing me from using the membership I pay for. Opening hours are pretty short too. Ultimately, not a bad gym but given the cost not great either.

Positive experience: Next Gen is a gym with a community feel in a convenient location. They have facilities which cannot be found at other gyms. Reception staff are friendly and greet you on your way in and out of the club. The cafe is convenient with a range of food and drinks. The cafe staff are friendly and Greg always greets me by name. It’s good to see that the showers are in the process of an upgrade. The new management have been open to feedback and have acted upon it promptly. The equipment on the gym floor works but is a bit dated and could use an upgrade. Can’t wait to use the outdoor pool this summer.

Fantastic experience: Next Generation, Memorial Drive is absolutely magnificent. We have been members for 18 months & so enjoy our daily visits to the gym. Yes there are little issues from time to time but in our Experience with managers the issues are always dealt with in a very satisfactory & timely manner. The highlight however of our daily gym visits is the interaction with the staff in the Cafe. Maria, Gabby, Chris & Arthur as well as all the other staff working in the cafe who are always friendly, attentive & great company, it really is always a daily highlight for us. Thanks also to the two Daniel’s who are incredibly helpful managers whom we enjoy passing conversations with. THANKYOU Next Gen Managers, Staff, Instructors & the magnificent Cafe Staff.

Negative experience: I have returned to Next Gen after many years away and am disappointed with the state of the facilities since I have left. Change rooms and toilets are run down, the showers are currently being renovated but not the toilets, why do half the job?? Toilets and change areas have tiles falling off the wall, cisterns that often won’t flush properly and doors that have make shift locks. The walls and floors are dirty and run down, more frequent and much better cleaning is required. The water fountains in the gym area are old, often out of service, and have a funky smell. The pool has issues with temperature and facilities being frequently unavailable. The cafe staff are slow, inattentive and often unfriendly, waiting a long time for service and food. Up to 20 minutes for a coffee when you are short on time is less than ideal. The size, location and facilities could have this gym a clear stand out worthy of 5 stars, however currently that is not the case. I had such great memories of coming to this gym 15-20 years ago, so disappointed it is not at all close to what it once was. Some serious maintenance required here.

Positive experience: Been a member for many years and really do love the place. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful (Charlotte) and Banin is top notch where contract and admin issues are involved. Some of the equipment does need to be upgraded and maintenance could be better in some areas but generally it’s a good, friendly and community spirited facility. Looking forward to summer so I can get outdoors by the pool

Negative experience: I didn’t want to leave a bad review, but enough is enough. Please, if you decide to join this club, don’t sign the contract because they will simply scam you. 1. The so-called sales managers are liars. They lie about the conditions, and if you believed them and didn’t read the contract carefully, you’re in for a big surprise. 2. They say that you can easily suspend your membership. However, you can’t do it on the payment day. You can also do it only ONCE a year, so if you have a second/third vacation, you still MUST pay for your membership no matter what. Even if you’re not going to the club for another 2-4 weeks, you still have to pay anyway. 3. They tell you that if you get sick and provide a medical certificate, they will suspend your membership for as long as you need. Yes, sure, another lie. Once again, you can’t do it on the payment day and for less than a month! So if you're sick for 1-2-3 weeks and can’t visit, they don’t care; you will still pay in full. 4. The condition of the changing rooms and lockers in the spa area is just disgusting. Showers are missing tiles, and are covered in black mold, very week, half of the toilets are not flushing. Greedy management is killing this place and do not care about clients at all. And it’s very unfortunate because the trainers are wonderful, professional, and very nice people. But the mismanagement that rules this place destroys everything. I will never extend the contract and will encourage others to do the same. So, if you want to join, be prepared to pay always, no matter if you are going on vacation or if you are sick. And check carefully the conditions of each corner of this place. Update: reply to the owner's comment - I will not leave here my personal details, but you can check my email form August 20 this year to reception. My last email is still unanswered by the way. Update 2: of course, nobody contacted me. But the story is not ended. I provided medical certificate and they still want me to pay because if you got sick, you have to notify them A WEEK before. Nice, right? So you have to know when you’re sick and let them know in advance. And now because I refuse to pay this scammers they threaten me with collectors. How cool is this crime syndicate, right?

Fantastic experience: We did have an uncomfortable experience with one of the staff at the front desk which made the experience a little sad. We want to feel welcomed & invited with friendliness, especially when we’re trying to invite potential new members. I must say the rest of the staff are incredible & extremely welcoming. Fantastic experience: I’ve tried quite a few swim schools over the years and Next Gen have nailed it. Small class sizes, consistent teachers, easy to do make up lessons. Ange, the head of swimming is so easy to deal with and knows everyone personally. Completely worth the class fee and my daughter improved dramatically when she started here. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Outdated, faulty facilities and weights equipment in this gym. I Experienced racism and gender-based appearance aggression from an older white lady who blocked my way to change rooms. Also, I was surprised to see a used tampon in the shower room last week. I will be not interested in continuing my membership after a year membership contract.

Negative experience: The showers are cold in winter. We had the same problem last year. People that need to have a shower half an hour before closing time pay the same membership fee as all other members. Instead, we get a cold shower and a massive eye-roll from the duty managers for bringing the matter to their attention for the fourth week in a row.

Negative experience: It doesn’t even deserve one star… I joined next gen two months ago and will not be staying with the gym after my 3 month contract ends. The reception staff are untrained, unhelpful, and extremely rude. The facilities are a genuine health concern and it’s all anyone there can talk about! Mould covers everything and you can smell it everywhere, the health department would shut this place down overnight if it inspected it! I pay for the gold package and the bathrooms and change rooms have not been cleaned once in 2 months. Not once. There were worms falling out the bottom of the bather drying machine in the gold lounge and I have a video of this. The gym equipment is outdated and nearly every machine is faulty or has a broken part. The cafe staff are as rude and disinterested as the front desk staff and the cafe is filthy; tables and chairs are not wiped down and are littered with food and crumbs. I am gravely disappointed by this gym as it is the most I have ever paid and the worst I have ever seen. I haven’t bothered contacting management because they’ve all resigned this week, but it’s clear from their response to all the previous one star reviews that nothing will be done anyhow. Save your money AND your health. Avoid next gen

Negative experience: I would like to know the prices before booking a tour. I do not have time. Also if it is too expensive, I wont bother even a tour. Why donot they post the prices?? why is it so secret? I emailed several times and called them, but no one returned the call or emails.. What a service. Negative experience: Disappointed that Next Gen are not open and transparent about membership fee increases, and additional fees that they charge. I waited for over 2 months for a reply to a question about membership fees, and actually still have not received an answer. The staff are often unfriendly and unhelpful. There are some maintenance issues, and I don't think the membership fees and the "hidden" fees are worth what the gym provides. In response to your response - the situation has not been resolved - I still have not been given any information about the increases in membership fees. Your stock reply answers are pretty meaningless when you do nothing about the issues raised.

Negative experience: Slimy and dirty pool: I went for a swim today to try it out and it was a terrible experience. The water is so murky that you can’t see far in front of you. More like a lagoon than a pool. Also, the sides of the pool are so slimy. I sat on the side of the pool to exit my lane. It was like sitting in slippery goo. It needs to be drained and cleaned properly. I hope I don’t get an infection and that I didn’t just sit in algae. Really tragic for a beautiful centre. I would join tomorrow if it were clean.

Negative experience: Some of the receptionists are very rude. This is the first review I have ever wrote. It confused me why they treat clients with a attitude of inpatient and arrogant. The management is very poor. I don't think they offered enough training to the staffs. Some of them are unprofessional and discourtesy. Most facilities are not maintained properly. The pool water is always dirty and a little bit cold. The drains in the shower room are blocked you have to do a very quick shower to avoid water overflow. And of course you can see the mould. The toilets in the family room and the disability room are horrible. It is supposed to be a nice place to go with the kids but the hygiene condition is worrying. Just not worth it. I do not recommend Next Gen.

Negative experience: Gym was okay while we were there, but they have made it near impossible to cancel your membership. We have recently moved to the hills and it is now a 45 minute drive to the gym, so we decided to cancel. I first contacted them on 28th February 2024 to request a cancellation and was advised the Membership Manager would call me back the following day. I followed up on 6th March 2024 and was again advised the Membership Manager has to call me back, but it can take up to 10 days. I called back again on 18th March and was again advised the Membership Manager has to contact me, so I requested it be escalated as I had tried 3 times and kept getting told the same thing. I am still yet to hear from anyone as of 26th March and have had two additional $175 payments taken since my initial request. There is no email address for me to put something in writing as all their email addresses used to send stuff to me are no reply emails. I have had to contact my bank to raise a dispute to cancel the direct debit, but was told by the bank that that takes time. I now don't know where to turn to other than to write this review.

Negative experience: There is no free trial option so make very sure you know exactly what it is your needing to do before you pay as in my case as I ended up paying $26.33 per visit to swim 25 laps of a 25 metre pool.

Negative experience: Poor management. Today is the second day I go to the Next Gen and they don’t have towels. I had to go back home. Providing towel is part of the contract you get from the beginning. They simply don’t care. I’ll post photos and videos on how dirty and disgusting are shower areas for Gold members. A simple maintenance will take years and they have to redo the job many times over again. I went to other branches in Melbourne and they are by far better than this branch in Adelaide. I’m not sure if this is what we deserve to get in Adelaide. Poor management! Health hazardous environment! Disrespectful to clients! Breaching the contract terms! One of the rare positives is the staff. Front desk staff are good and helpful (%80) If you have better options go for them. NextGen can simply ruin your day and routines.

Negative experience: Pool is still disgusting, our little one had an infection after swimming in the pool, 1 month later still hearing forms he managers an mysterious story about the part tgat supposed to come in, said what do u want us to do about the infection. Yet we pay full membership, an absolute disgrace, treating clients like wallets , no respect , very money hungry and rude management!!!!!!!
