Ludus Sports Performance

Fantastic experience: My 15 year old son just finished a 12 week rehab program at Ludus following an ankle ligament rupture. Ludus in particular physio Jaryd were brilliant from the beginning. Combined physio, coached gym and field sessions helped ensured my son was back fitter and stronger than ever plus he learned how to condition himself going forward. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my time at Ludus.. If I could give this facility more stars, I 100% would. This gym differs to other gyms, their programs are handcrafted to suit any athlete that walks in the door (no matter what sport you do). You get a program specifically tailored to you dependent on your needs and goals (rehab, s+c, general fitness ect). You also get access to the ‘in house’ physio’s, personalised running/on-field sessions and even recovery benefits. But on a larger scale, they provide even more.. From nutrition guidance, mindset guidance, general health and wellbeing knowledge/andvice and more. They give athletes the opportunity to have ‘someone in their corner’ advocating for their every move and encouraging them to be the best they can. They maintain results by utilising testing on a regular basis to ensure each athlete is on an upwards trend in terms of performance. Robbie conducts a revolutionary ‘neck strengthening’ series, which is in place to reduce the risk and or severity of concussions. Robbie was my coach at ludus, truely had the best experience with him as a trainer. Could expand on how great he is all day - but there’s not enough room here to fit it all. Athletes thrive under him, his programs are elite, he’s so client focused, motivated and soooo knowledgeable. One of the Physios, Jaryd, helped me reduce the severity of my back ‘flare ups’ by providing me extensive knowledge (on the science behind back injuries) and guiding me through them, creating a personalised program for managing the pain and improve my mobility. All this being said, I can’t leave out everyone else. I’ve had incredible experiences with each and every staff member (and intern) at this gym. The environment they create together is friendly, empowering, motivating and supportive. The gym is a huge community in itself, it’s like one giant friendship group, where everyone just supports & encourages each other all day. Thanks Ludus and everyone there. You’ve been unreal. -J

Fantastic experience: I started at ludus after I had to pull out of a jujitsu comp from being overtrained and feeling constantly run down. They provided me with programs that assisted me to train smarter and more efficiently. I trained at ludus for 14 months and learnt a lot being there. I would definitely recommend the team and if I lived closer I’d probably still be there.

Fantastic experience: During my time training at Ludus I have achieved the best version of me that is possible I believe. I was getting trained by Robbie and the programming he had for me made me fitter, stronger and injury proof. I do Jiu Jitsu and before going to Ludus there would be a new injury every month, after 6 months at Ludus I don't get injured anymore also my 5rm trap bar deadlift went from 120kg to 180kg I didn't even think it was possible to get that strong while also being as fit as I am. Ludus is the best, definitely check them out.

Fantastic experience: 3 shoulder recons, 20+ years of constant pain, I told these guys this is my last option before opting for surgery again....4-5 months later I am pain free, range of mobility is vastly improved and I am back to doing proper weights training! I am even doing weights exercises above my head, just talking about this froze me, now I am doing it. I cannot recommend Ludus more highly to anybody who has a traumatic mobility condition. thanks guys

Fantastic experience: Such and friendly and caring environment to train in. The support from the physios and the trainers is outstanding, genuine care constantly from everyone. Was given a programme to enable me to rehab my knee and keep up my fitness and training, so I didn't fall behind and lose the work done in our preseason. Got me back on the field for round one. Fantastic experience: I suffered a significant injury mountain biking. I managed to simultaneously dislocate and break the ball joint off my right femur. The prognosis from the surgeon was not good and I was told that I would not be mountain biking for at least 3 months. I joined Ludus on a program and religiously followed the plan and direction as set by Glen. I attended the studio three times a week and a combination of the planned sessions with the physio Glenn and on floor assistance from Callum helped with my motivation. I was on the stationary trainer at week 4 and did my first enduro type (slow) rides on week 6. 3 months in I am riding as previous and have no limp. Many thanks to Ludus. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any motivated sports man or woman looking to rehab in a professional environment. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: Ludus were fantastic in accelerating my rehab after a shoulder injury playing AFL, I was back playing much sooner than expected and was very grateful for how helpful, professional and supportive they were through the process.

Fantastic experience: I approached Ludus after experiencing issues with my shoulder that escalated to being unable to perform any meaningful exercise or workouts. I was booked in for surgery but in the first meeting prior to this with Tom he stated he would be able to rehab my shoulder. It was a slow process however we stuck with it and in a few months the shoulder was approaching full use and a couple of months later it was back at full health. So surgery was avoided and during the shoulder rehab I was still able to train the rest of the body with the non-rehab exercises provided. What was also really good was that Tom allowed me to join the tac sessions which further allowed the body to regain the conditioning it had lost. Would like to thank Tom for all of his efforts and time with my rehab!!

Fantastic experience: Very professional and knowledgeable coaches and physios who provide amazing sports tailored programs. Their extensive testing is unmatched and I've improved considerably in strength and coordination relative to my sport of choice (injury free). I wish I signed up earlier in life.

Fantastic experience: I joined Ludus 2 years ago with lingering hip injuries, which was affecting my game performance. The boys at Ludus were amazing, they identified the issue with professional testing, then set a program in place to strengthen my hips and general body strength to build power and speed. I can’t thank all the Ludus boys enough for their hard work to help me strengthen and build more muscle, which made me faster, create a better posture and most of all had huge positive results with my hips, achieving PBs on all my exercises. Following this, I went to Italy to play football, in which Ludus prepared me in the best way and shape possible. The Ludus boys still keep in touch and check in to see how I’m going, which really helps me. Fantastic experience: I have been a professional Soccer coach for 25 years from Italy with a Uefa Pro license, I'm working for a Serie A club as a Scout and International Academy coach, I know what professionalism looks like and I can say that Ludus is second to nobody with their services, I sent some of my best players to them and the outcome of their job is unbelievable, I'm also starting to train myself and find the program absolutely amazing! If you want to improve your fitness or unlock your potential as an elite athlete this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Ludus are great! I came back to Perth for a couple weeks after playing football in Europe. I chose Ludus to try and sort out some lingering physical issues, mainly working closely with Callan. In such a short time have noticed a massive difference. Fantastic experience: Tom has changed my life around on how I conduct my training. Not only is he very professional but his team are always ready to help when I have needed them. I tore my ACL and Meniscus just over 5 months ago and I am already back to running and starting my physical training program already. Fantastic experience: I joined Ludus at the recommendation of a friend. I was somewhat hesitant as gym has never been a big part of my life. However everyone at Ludus has been absolutely fantastic. All of the coaches are very approachable and they give great feedback and encouragement.I also suffered an ankle injury at Netball and then transitioned from the performance program to the rehab program. This transition was smooth at Ludus as they also have qualified physios on site. I was able to keep going to the gym as they worked around my injury. Since then, I have done the gym work and on field running session. Ludus really has everything, and I would encourage enayone who is unsure to just join. I can also see a major improvement in my fitness, strength and game readiness. Overall, the atmosphere is awesome!

I have been training with them for last 10 weeks and in that time, they have helped me regain my mental and physical confidence, strength, while also educating me through the process. The staff truly are amazing people and I am grateful for them all. I have made giant strides since joining and intend to stay on for the performance program to continue bettering myself in all areas. Fantastic experience: Ludus are the best of the best & I honestly couldn’t rate the guys highly enough. Not only have they allowed me to overcome the physical aspects of re-injuring my knee at the end of last season, but they have played a massive roll in helping me overcome the mental aspects of re-injuring my knee and being able to return to sport. They are the loveliest & most down to earth people I’ve met and they genuinely care about each individual and how they are going throughout their program. They are always there to support you at the drop of a hat no matter what it is you’re facing and they will tailor your program to suit. Being a female, it sometimes can be intimidating entering a new gym that you aren’t familiar with but everyone at Ludus, including the other athletes in the gym, are so incredibly welcoming no matter who you are or where you’ve come from. It has been an absolute pleasure to become a part of the Ludus family and not only have I overcome my injury and am back playing netball, but I have met people who are now an important part of my life. I can’t wait to continue onto the performance program to further improve my performance on court and fingers crossed, all thanks to the amazing team at Ludus, I finish this netball season with a flag!

The nutritional coaching is ideal for anyone wanting to hone in on their diet to support their athletic performance and recovery. Fantastic experience: Could not rate the Ludus team highly enough. I’ve overcome an injury where I couldn’t get out of bed, was told that I needed surgery and will not be able to play football this year, potentially again. After a few months of rehab , I am moving better than I ever did, feel much stronger and fitter and have completely overcome this injury. Would highly recommend to anyone with an injury or to anyone wanting to become a better athlete.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Ludos for about 5 months now and it has been a fantastic experience. I’m 15, and wanted to build condition, speed and strength in the off season before footy starts again, as well as improve my sprinting times and technique for athletics. All the trainers have been super nice and take an interest in you, no matter what level you’re at. I’ve loved the tips and advice to get the most from every workout and am already seeing a big improvement in my energy levels, my performance and my confidence.
