Derrimut 24:7 Gym - Gepps Cross

Negative experience: Management - I've told reception staff more than once, and no change. How hard is it to order enough hand soap for the toilets. Daily - it runs out and there is nothing. The toilets are always dirty - even after the cleaner has 'cleaned'. Perhaps pay them more as they do a terrible job. Any chance of replacing all the toilet seats that are misaligned? Seriously does this gym have a manager (Gepps Cross)? It's a disgrace. Perhaps rather than opening more gyms, fix the issues at the pre-existing ones.

Negative experience: Came here to workout at 11:00pm there was like a thousand people here using every piece of equipment also they give you no room to even put weights back then look pissed off because you walked in front of them literally the only place to walk because its so packed did two sets of one exercise then couldn't use any equipment because it was overcrowded and already in use by someone else even late at night how are you suppose to workout? waste of time…

Positive experience: Lots of variety! Overall great workout equipment with lots of room to move still. BUT I came here to write about the cleaning of this gym, walking in, you get hit with the WORSE smell (now I get people sweat!) but my god! To discover the cleaning stations are almost non existent! No one was cleaning anything as it's just not available! I've been to a few derrimuts over Adelaide now and this problem is the first I've encountered for a Derrimuts gym. Please address the cleaning stations and try inforce people to actually clean after use.

Negative experience: How do you guys have the same music complaint for years and still not solved? Its ok to put on the music type you guys usually do but maybe turn down the volume more? I just want to listen to other type of music or podcast using earphones but its very impossible with that volume of music played in the gym.

Negative experience: I’m shocked good gym but they don’t have money to buy triceps ropes, the whole gym has only one that one damaged. and a few machines are out of order. I informed to staff plenty of times they ignored me. Poor customer service by all young dudes.

Negative experience: For the love of god PLEASE ban people filming themselves!! It’s everywhere and I can’t even walk around without being in the back of someone’s camera!!! Think of the women who have DVOs and need privacy or people in public sector jobs who’s clients could seriously hurt them if they found out where they train

Positive experience: Certain time gets overcrowded. Otherwise very nice gym with friendly staff

Negative experience: Music is deafening (even noise cancelling earbuds can’t cancel it out and can barely hear own music) and womens gym is tiny with no air flow (only one fan on ). Please improve this.

Positive experience: Spacious, great equipment availability, great atmosphere and I emphasise the greatness of diversity of people. From big dudes to newcomers to fit to strong to nerds to casual to hotties to you name it… bottom line, it has a broad range of people. However with the good also comes the not so good. One of them being that whenever there’s something that needs servicing, it takes forever. Eg you see that 25kg dumbbell below? It’s been its lone self since January… it is now August. I asked what was going on with it and the management said they’re waiting for the service team who fixes it to come. Well, what could possibly take 7 months and counting to rectify?? People want to use the equipment and having such an inconvenience like this is like getting cut short of your utilities, well, it literally is. There was also the drink taps during some period that took 2 months to go back to that nice cold temperature and it stayed room temperature for the time being. Also you need a split system; it’s seriously annoying when the two drink taps are being used simultaneously as the pressure reduces substantially. The hand soap hasn’t been refilled yet and that’s been going on for 2-3 weeks. Please don’t take your time as a team or individual or company to fix things way later than need be. This has potential to be so much better but you cannot neglect these small but significant matters. Other than that, good ish!

Negative experience: Great gym. However, the music can be degrading to women, violent and very loud!!

Positive experience: Extremely busy and machines are places so closely that not enough space to breath.

Negative experience: Good loads of gear but 20 bucks for casual visit for a senior far too much

Negative experience: Derrimut has to be by far the worst chain of gyms in the Southern hemisphere. Between machines being out of order for months on end, the temperature sitting at a constant 37 degrees Celsius despite it being the middle of winter, the lack of a single handle attachment for a cable machine anywhere in the entire gym, staff who haven't got a clue what they're doing, music that's loud enough to send you deaf, and a constant smell of onions, garam masala and body odour (particularly Gepps Cross), and the list goes on and on. I'd highly recommend Derrimut to anyone who feels an innate desire to punish themselves and their mental wellbeing. These gyms truly are the definition of a gimmick.

Positive experience: I've trained at derrimuts for a bit over 3 years. I tend to travel between a few of the venues, and i started at gepps however over time this has become my least favourite place to train. Like most derrimuts it's well equipped and Monday to Friday can be super crowded around peak times but on the upside parking here is never an issue. The worst part here is just the music, whoever it is that plays that garbage hardstyle music needs to go. It's not a rave, it's a gym. I literally have to yell to talk to my gym partner/s it's played so loud

Negative experience: Person Equipment stolen by member of gym and staff refused to cooperate in finding it.

Negative experience: Please clean the men's restroom and shower room. There is a strong urine smell everywhere. I suggested this to the staff 30 minutes ago, but they responded insincerely. I am disappointed in the staff.

Negative experience: This place is STINKY. the absolute stench of it hits you as soon as you enter and it's only gotten worse during summer. Just lucky the tiny womens area is a lot fresher.

Negative experience: Derrimut 24:7 Gym in Gepps Cross has the worst communication and business practices. Despite emailing to cancel my membership, they continued to charge me and even sent me to debt collection. It's clear that they do not care about their customers and would rather scam them for money. I advise everyone to stay away from this gym and their dishonest tactics.

Negative experience: I reported an issue with a leg curler machine to a Derrimut employee on December 21st. Today, when I attempted to use the machine, I was surprised to find that nothing has been done about it; it still isn't functioning properly. It has been four weeks since I've mentioned it to Derrimut staff. The left side of the machine is not rolling, causing it to scratch the skin painfully when in use. This particular leg curler is located in the ladies' room.

Fantastic experience: The best staff member Liam. Very helpful. He is the best staff member ever.

Positive experience: Came to this gym to save money and try something different. Used to going to tiny gyms where it’s very 1:1 and I knew I wasn’t going to get that here, however I was still very impressed by the reformer Pilates class taught by Abby and thought she did a great job and made it as intimate as she could for such a big space. The female only section is also a huge plus here which makes me feel safe. Not a fan of the loud music blaring over the speakers but that can easily be drowned out by you using your headphones. Will take a bit for me to adjust to but I think I’ll still be able to meet my fitness needs here which is exciting.

Positive experience: Huge gym with plenty of equipment - almost too much as it gets a bit squishy at times. Had to stop multiple times as people walking through machines including cleaners. Great range including boxing ring, friendly staff and a good culture from what I could tell on recent visits.

Positive experience: Pretty clean. Layout is fine, little squashed together for lack of space. Staff are friendly. Last few times I've been (weekend mornings) the pilates studio has been closed, not sure what's going on there. Lots of TV's set up in front of the treadmills, I'm a Windsor regular, so TV's in the gym was a bit strange - if not old school. Can't say there's a lack of parking though, so that's a bonus!

Negative experience: A real scam of a business with many many hidden charges.Its been 7 weeks trying to get my account addressed and still waiting and everyday I get interigated each time I walk in. Today I was served by the state manager who treated me like with total disrespect and belittlement. It's amusing that if and when you are late with a payment you.ll receive a SMS and email immediately and get slapped with a $30 late fee however if you go in and ask for assistance you receive none, standard response is we can't help you at branch level.....Keep clear, total scammers

Negative experience: It is too busy I mean too busy doesn’t matter what time you come. Equipments are getting old because of too much usage. I do understand it is cheap but i doesn’t mean having 200 or 300 people in one time. Can’t find a parking in 15 min . Well looks like it is time to say bye

Fantastic experience: I did my first ever reformer pilates class with Kaylie this week and it was amazing! Kaylie was so friendly, such a great instructor and exercises were easy to follow for first-timers. The Pilates room and equipment was clean ⭐️ I’m already booked in for another class!

Positive experience: Nice gym but seriously need to do something with the scanner.. it doesnt scan my gym tag and I have seen others struggling with it too.

Fantastic experience: Huge gym, most equipment is in good condition and when things break they’re usually fixed quickly. Pretty good culture of people re-racking their weights, the place is always super clean and tidy and the cleaning staff are so friendly, I really appreciate the work they do! Was going here four times a week for a couple of years before I moved to Melbourne recently and I sorely miss this gym! Only critique is the music is often WAAAY too loud, if you’re standing anywhere near the speaker you have to yell to be heard by the person next to you. Still work out here when I visit Adelaide.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. It is a good size and is well equipped. Even as a new member I never felt out of place or like I was being judged. It has a very mixed group of members and has an inclusive feel. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a gym to join.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Extremely busy on work days. They just attract more people to join membership by low rate. Not recommended.

Positive experience: Great gym, super clean, functional equip in great condition. My only complaint is the heating to too warm especially in the ladies gym and yr unable to reach fans to turn on for air flow

Fantastic experience: First time going this morning around 6.30am. Really impressed with the amount of equipment and shear size of the place! There are definitely some machines i'll need to look up. Ladies Gym is great and fully stocked too. Friendly people and staff. Ladies toilets/showers look clean. Wasn't as intimidated as I thought I would be. Looking forward to more sessions :-)

Negative experience: Not as big as the Windsor Gardens Derrimut and no sauna. The music is way too loud, as is the case at most Derrimut locations. Lots of parking, but choose your times wisely as it can get crowded.

Negative experience: Very well fitted out gym. Mostly maintained equipment. Despite being plagued with previous reviews of lack of cleanliness in transit areas and gym. It appears to be rectified. Signed up under their government discount program. Although ended up being more expensive than their current membership program. So they said its not a good option. Day 1: Attended the gym. Left. Got told I'll be leaving the state and will not be in location. Staff could not refund at all or transfer. Further. "Someone complained" I was a nuisance and wasn't let in. Best $250. Go elsewhere.

Positive experience: if the gym can get a chest-supported t-bar row machine (incline lever row), it'd probably be the best derrimut location in Adelaide. big space, lots of equipment, doesn't get overly crowded, good lighting and bathrooms. it's just the t-bar row machine for me, which i think you guys have one without support around the bench area, but the chest-supported one feels better in my opinion.

Manager should be proud of this 2, the cleaners before them were very good in chatting and keeping some of the members entertained…

Negative experience: Poorly maintained… equipment continually broken for days. Never any soap in the change rooms. Rope attachments severely worn and borderline dangerous. Meanwhile, staff are regularly in the gym ‘hanging out’

Negative experience: When I first signed up a few years ago at derrimuts gepps cross, the environment was great, the staff and members were friendly, the gym was busy but not overcrowded and overall it was a good experience. Nowadays, it just looks like a rundown mess. The place needs a deep clean asap, the machines are always breaking down, like what on earth are the members doing to the place, the free weights are never put back and the heavy plates machines never unracked. The members and general crowd that attend this location are heavily contributing to the gyms overall vibe. It’s always smelly in this gym, and to top it off, you can’t hear your own music/podcasts because they’re always blasting the same EDM genre music so loud. Gepps cross is the most run down location in Adelaide, it’s basically like derrimuts unwanted child.
