Resilience Training Centre is a purpose-built gym in West Melbourne. Designed to cater for all levels, with elite to beginner level programs in Judo, BJJ, Boxing, CrossFit and MMA. Resilience is helping to build Kids Judo and BJJ, with the highest level coaches in Australia. Resilience training Centre has a designated Boxing studio, a matted area with sprung floors for safety and a designated Crossfit area to help maximise your results. With a focus on respect and building resilience, everyone is welcome and we look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Judo incorporates throwing techniques, pins, arm locks, and choking techniques. Judo provides the means for learning self-confidence, control, fine balance, and fast reflexive action. Judo training gives a person an effective self-defence system if the need arises and is often a part of the training done by athletes preparing for MMA matches.

Judo Tots start from the age of 5 and 6 and the class is a gross motor skills class where the Judo tots will be encouraged to jump, roll, break-fall and run. Judo Foundation classes will provide athletes with solid technical basis which to leverage during the general Judo classes. Junior Judo is for primary and high school students, the program will align to the four school terms. These classes will be a combination of Judo foundations teaching the falls, throws and ground techniques to compete in Judo, combined with sparring.

BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint-locks and choking techniques to defeat the other person. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defence.

Resilience Training Centre is excited to offer Boxing classes to all levels. From beginner to pro our classes are structured to maximise results and help you reach your goals.

The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. The CrossFit program seeks to prepare trainees for any physical contingency. CrossFit is designed so that all workouts are scalable to allow for all levels of fitness, experience and age, making this strength and conditioning program for anyone. Each class is unique and the workout of the day (WOD) is not posted onto the CrossFit website until the end of the day, so you never know what is ahead of you.

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is a mixture of many sports such as Boxing, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, just to name a few. Using this combination of techniques results in a full contact combative sport that allows the use of striking and grappling techniques, while standing or on the ground.

Fantastic experience: An excellent place to train. I've trained BJJ at a few gyms but this is the first where it feels like a team. Everyone is super friendly and the coaches have a real interest in your progression and success. I can't recommend Resilience highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I took up BJJ in January 2021, in my late 30s. I didn’t know what to expect but I thought I’d give something new a try. I still can’t believe how open and friendly everyone has been, the culture at Resilience is second to none. I’ve never had a question that hasn’t been answered and I’ve learnt so much from the top-notch coaches and other students. I’m completely hooked and the team at Resilience are a huge part of that. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: An accepting and supportive team with a fantastic head coach. I mean, they've gotta be doing something right if I'm driving from the other side of the city to get down for W2W training every morning at 5:45am!
