Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the better gyms I’ve seen in Sydney. It’s large, has a broad variety of equipment, and is lovely and new. It does get a little busy at peak hour, but during non-peak hours there’s hardly a handful of people in this huge gym. The carpark is easy to access (underground, free validation at reception).

Fantastic experience: My old gym put thier fees up by 50% so was not looking forward to what is the haggle of negotiating a membership at another gym. Bodyfit was first on the list cause it was closest. Never went any further. They have me a membership cheaper than the original gym which saves me money, old gym actually did me a favour. Friendly staff, no need to haggle. Gym seems well equipped, not to bright and welcoming. Looking forward to my first workout tonight.

Negative experience: Used to be a member here. The membership price was decent but the gym is so poorly maintained that it wasn't worth keeping. The 24 hour gym is really dirty and heaps of the machines are either broken or on the verge of breaking down. The water fountain has been broken for months. Tried a few of the classes and they were very hit/miss.

Negative experience: If you're looking for a workout space that resembles a scene straight out of Terminator 2, Bodyfit Platinum might just fit the bill. With its expansive layout in the Sth Eveleigh railway workshop precinct this place screams "Sarah Conner Realness." However, much like the relentless T-1000, the customer service at Bodyfit Gym leaves a lot to be desired. From the first time I visited, I couldn't help but feel like an extra in Madonna's iconic "Express Yourself" video clip. The staff have their own choreographed routine, but unfortunately, it involves avoiding eye contact and disappearing into the abyss of the tea room generally. It seems like the only mission they were programmed for was to make you feel, well… beige. Now, let's talk about the space itself. If you're an ardent fitness enthusiast, you'll find the gym… quite fine. It's equipped with a mix of semi-decent machines that could actually function as spare parts for the T800 model Terminator. The variety of weights, cardio equipment, and resistance training options is quite good, and there’s a decent amount of room to flex your muscles and get your sweat on. The surrounding architecture is super cool though! A few pet peeves include: No locks on the lockers. The soap dispensers in the showers are often empty. Aside from the personal trainers, there’s no staff presence on the gym floor which hugely contributes to the lack of pride and ultimately the messiness that pervades the gym. On the whole the staff seem more interested in mimicking the robotic movements of Arnold Schwarzenegger than in providing any kind of assistance or creating a welcoming, community atmosphere (Maybe that’s their brand?) It’s as if you’ve stumbled upon a gym where customer service is optional. Perhaps they believe that patrons should be as self-reliant as Sarah Connor in battling killer robots? I get it though, if you're someone who relishes in solitude during your workouts, Bodyfit Platinum might just be your personal nirvana. The lack of friendly faces and the eerie silence in the absence of any cheerful greetings allows for intense focus on your exercise routine. Just be prepared to channel your inner Madonna, because you'll have to express yourself without any guidance or support from the staff. Oh and did I mention it’s a frequent occurrence for the doors not to open on time? Oh but wait, it’s now 24hrs access… A good thing, I guess… All in all, Bodyfit Gym offers a workout space that could make any fitness enthusiast feel like an action hero. However, if you're seeking a gym experience that balances passable facilities with exceptional customer service, you might want to hop in a time machine and find a place where the T-1000 doesn't moonlight as a receptionist. Remember, in the immortal words of Madonna, "Express yourself, don't repress yourself." And at Bodyfit Platinum, you may find yourself doing just that...alone. Disclaimer: No killer liquid metal robots were harmed during the writing of this review.

Negative experience: I enjoy the location, staff and patrons, however; disappointed I have advised the crosstrainers require maintenance 4 times in the past 8 months but still has not been addressed. There are 4 machines in the 2 locations and 3 of them have issues. Currently I regularly am unable to use the good one. This is my primary form of cardio. I hope something is done soon!

Negative experience: I worked here as a boxing teacher, none of the staff engaged with me, the atmosphere was dull and unexciting. Not a welcoming place at all. Management is beyond shocking. Uninspiring and unfriendly. There’s much better out there , go find it!

Negative experience: The gym is Small and basic. The team are slow to respond Not to mention the hassle in canceling your membership even with notice is unbelievable.

Negative experience: Asked to cancel my membership 6 months ago when I moved to another state and I'm still being charged. Don't sign up - it's not worth the hassle if you want to end your contract. I have had to make a complaint through NSW Fair Trading to sort this out.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with lots of good racks and plenty of space. Had great customer service from Gil Blanch at the front desk who helped us with some new promotions! Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Small, equipment is cheap and facilities are lacking. Their accounts team also don’t listen when you give adequate notice to cancel membership after your 12 month date and just keep charging you and don’t respond to communications. Basically theft. Don’t sign up, way better gym options around

Positive experience: Lots of parking available and near the station. New equipment, all in great working order. Kept clean. It’s a shame the broken scales haven’t been replaced. A couple of foam boxes for box jumps would be great too

Negative experience: Could be a really good gym but it’s so poorly run. The equipment is regularly broken and When it is staffed they sit there on Facebook, too much effort to go and put some weights away I guess. A great example of how little they care for this place is that for the past 2 years they have had an advertisement playing on loop on the TVs for their other gym which is “opening in November” The problem is that gym opened 2 years ago!!

Fantastic experience: Haven't had a chance to go much yet but signing up was so easy and the Lady was really nice. Love that my local is 24 hrs, and it's got some equipment my other gym didn't have that I really missed using. Looking forward to my first spin and yoga class.

Fantastic experience: Small space but well organised and has everything you need for each muscle group. Like the grassy floor and open space. Like the two cable machines. Could benefit from a rack with a line of preloaded barbells for drop-setting.

Positive experience: Worst smoothies ever. Don't even bother. I got the berry "flavour", it was like a liquid fruit hooka. Sickeningly sweet, I have no idea what they put in it to make it taste the way it did. Threw it away after 2 sips.

Negative experience: One of the worst service i have received from a gym. They are misleading to the point i have had to lodge a complaint to fair trading. They have a club manager who cannot respond back accordingly and cannot action my membership correctly resulting me having to chase them up for the incorrect direct debit , overpromising and cannot deliever. They have unfriendly staff at the reception and has no customer service training. Stay away from this gym.

Positive experience: Nice small gym. Clean and has good choice of equipment. Music is obnoxiously loud however. I had to turn my own music up so loud in my earphones I think I have permanent hearing loss.

Fantastic experience: Signing up for the gym was a fairly straight forward process. Love that the smaller gym is 24 hours. The gym is brand new, clean and spacious. The customer service was very accomodating (thanks ash and angela) the facilities are great and the location is amazing. They have a range of classes, a creche and a sauna. The music and the environment reminds me of a fitness playground. Hopefully they can maintain the level of customer service and cleanliness as those were the two things that stood out for me!

Negative experience: Poor service and hygiene in terms of soap, towels in bathrooms or to wipe equipment lets down a gym that’s fair in equipment / price. Staff often loiter at reception aren’t proactive or regular in cleaning, checking equipment or cleaning

They also have amazing smoothies and other healthy snacks on offer...the peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie is AMAZING!

Fantastic experience: Clean gym and fantastic equipment. One downfall are the bathrooms. Showers are new and feel clean, however water splashes in the dry section, no sanitary bin in women's bathroom and no shelving for your bags. Temperature in bathroom is also very very hot.
